Employee‑owned at Briarcliff, Trezo leans Italian with fresh seafood and house breads, plus one of KC’s most talked‑about patios. KCUR and local magazines tout it for stylish outdoor dining, weekend brunch, and a lively happy hour.

A Beautiful Restuarant overlooking Kansas City from BriarCliff Village. The food and service were both superb! For those who crave an alternative to red sauce try the Lemon Basil Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp or Fired Grilled Chicken. The dish was light and zesty but filling, it was topped with fresh basil and a flavorful wine sauce. The cheesy garlic bread dusted with parmasen added just the right texture to the plate. I would definitely eat here again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️½ — “Middle of the road, decent but not memorable” Stopped by Trezo Mare to try their happy hour menu and walked away feeling… lukewarm. The food was OK — I sampled the flatbreads, bruschetta, French fries, and tacos. Nothing was bad, but nothing wowed me either. Just average. The ambiance felt a bit dated, and the clientele skewed older — mostly retirees enjoying a quiet evening out. Not a negative, just a vibe worth noting. Service was friendly overall. Our waitress was very kind, though she did accidentally bring me something I didn’t order. No biggie — it was only $8 and not worth fussing over. Unfortunately, the bar area had a strong sewer smell that really put me off. That alone makes it unlikely I’ll return. Prices were reasonable, and the staff did their best, but ultimately, Trezo Mare felt like a “just OK” experience. Nothing particularly wrong, just not for me.

One of my top outdoor dining experiences. The day was perfect and it was for my birthday so how could lit have been bad. But the location and views were very enjoyable. Our waiter was adorable and patient. Food was incredible.

I was amazed that a 23 dollar steak had so much flavor! Very kind and attentive staff. Very nice patio. If you meditate around their fire pit, you can summon Splinter Also the creme brûlée is excellent!

Google
Trezo Mare is hands-down one of the best dining experiences in Kansas City. Their patio is truly unmatched—it’s spacious, beautifully designed, and easily the best in the city. Sitting outside in the Briarcliff neighborhood with that view makes every meal feel special. The food is excellent, from creative appetizers to perfectly prepared entrées, and the service is consistently attentive and professional. Whether you’re celebrating a big occasion or just enjoying a night out, Trezo Mare delivers every time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-tier restaurant experience in Kansas City.

Everything was excellent. The service was above excellent! Our server was Jack, and he is the best server we have had in YEARS!! When making the reservation I let them know that it was our wedding anniversary, I cannot tell you how surprised I was when we opened up our menus and it literally had happy Anniversary printed on it, Now that's a nice touch. We Had the braised short rib and the wood fired shrimp with risotto, both excellent. Also, the goat cheese fondue is a must have, amazing flavor.

Our first experience here during Restaurant Week. The food...delicious. The drinks...amazing. The service...terrific. Our server, Jenn, was fabulous! We will definitely be back! We can't wait to bring our corgi, Simon, to the patio for a fun Happy Hour! Thank you for a wonderful date night!

The place is lovely, the food is delicious and well-prepared. The only downside was that it took a while for the food to come out, but other than that, I highly recommend this spot! ✨

Yelp
We wrapped up our four-day culinary tour with dinner at Trezo Mare in Briarcliff. Even with some evening rain keeping folks off the patio, the dining room was full and buzzing at our 6:30 reservation--always a good sign. To start, we shared the Traditional Bruschetta. The oven-roasted tomatoes and house-made mozzarella hit all the right notes--simple, fresh, and flavorful. My wife ordered her favorite: the Chicken Piccata with garlic mashed potatoes. She called it "amazing," and I'd agree--it's one of those dishes they just do right every time. I opted for the Bucatini Carbonara. The creamy sauce coated every strand of the thick bucatini, and the fresh peas gave it a sweet pop of freshness. One thing I always appreciate about Trezo Mare is their attentive management. It's great to see managers checking in with guests and staying active in the dining room. One stopped by our table, and I was glad to thank him personally for helping create such a welcoming dining experience

Yelp
First off, let me just do a TLDR: This place is 6/5 stars and everyone should experience eating here at least once, it will become a favorite! In general I don't venture up to the northtowne area very often. What prompted the visit this time was a quest for a decent scallop meal at a reasonable price and at lunchtime. This proved to be difficult on two fronts: 1) we are in the midwest and land-locked, so a decent scallop is hard to come by in general and, when you find it, the meal is general higher priced than most (understably so) and 2) the few places I found that do offer scallops only offer them as a dinner meal (most are actually ONLY open for dinner). The one exception is a well-known brand restaurant from a famous chef and everything on the menu is way overpriced for the rest of the family. The occasion for the outing was my family birthday meal, and one member would not go anywhere for the meal at dinnertime so it had to be lunch. Enter Trezo Mare. TM has a wood-fired scallop meal on their dinner menu, but I also noted that they are in fact open for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant is employee-owned so I thought, why not ask? I gave them a call and spoke to them about the possibility of getting scallops during lunch; they were more than happy to accommodate this without hesitation. The young lady added a note to our reservation (we had a group of 6 and anything TM requests reservations for for groups of 6 or more per their website) and let the kitchen know so they could add a serving of scallops to the lunch prep for the day. Thank you so much TM!!! This is not where the hospitality and positives about TM end though. When we arrived, we were seated immediately, even though several party members were running a few minutes late and my car had arrived a few minutes early. The hostess was welcoming, the waitress was amazing, and the manager (who brought our food) was very friendly and announced each meal as he set out our plates. The waitress was aware of my birthday from the reservation and wished me happy birthday from the start and let us know that they would give me a free desert, which is always a nice touch. When she brought out the desert (of my choice from any desert on the menu) it even had a birthday candle which she lit before placing it on the table. Side note to this- it was also nice that she didn't do any singing or announcements like some other places do- those are fine for the kids, but as an adult I find it embarrassing). Everyone got vastly different meals for our lunch; we had a fish & chips, macaroni & cheese (dressed up with lots of additions), salmon with cesar salad, french toast & bacon from the brunch menu, and of course my scallops with purple potato's and sauce. Everything was wonderful and even the picky person liked the fish & chips he ordered. The scallops were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, some of the best I have ever had (including from the aforementioned restaurant branded by the famous chef). I chose the Trezo bars for desert (without the caramel drizzle) and, although they were very rich, they were so yummy we couldn't stop eating them (I shared with the table so everyone could have a bite or two to try them). The cost of the meal was incredibly reasonable, especially considering my scallops came from the dinner menu and almost everyone also had a drink with their meal. It was not much more than we would have spent at any regular dine-in restaurant. Trezo Mare claims to be an Italian and seafood focused restaurant, but they really have a variety of food options on the menu so there should be something for everyone, from steaks or burgers to Italian, seafood, and even breakfast (during brunch). Other things to love besides the amazing food and service: employee-owned and operated, they support local farmers and sustainable farming practices, all foods prepared in-house using the freshest ingredients available, recycles or composts over 85% of waste out of the building

Yelp
Our daughter enjoys coming here because they offer gluten-free menu items. Not many restaurants have a gluten-free, dedicated space to cook safely for those with celiac disease.

Yelp
Finally checked out Trezo for the first time for their brunch! I feel like I may need to go back and have dinner and check out a few things on their regular menu. We were seated inside at first but requested to be seated on the patio. It is beautiful and would love the lights in the evening. The goat cheese dip was delish. And would order it again. I got the French toast and it was pretty good. Enjoyed a couple of cocktails as well. Service was a little bit slow, but would go back to try again. I do love the area, lots to do!

Yelp
My family goes to Trezo Mare at least two times a month and it never disappoints. The restaurant has such a great atmosphere in its three unique spaces. In the summer, Trezo Mare's large patio is the perfect place to enjoy a nice day outside while eating some great food. The restaurant's lounge side has a large bar with plenty of televisions and other tables. This space feels homey and always makes us feel comfortable. Lastly, the restaurant's main space is perfect for larger tables and special occassions. This time around we tried the Trezo Rolls made of bolognese, mozzarella, and marinara sauce all put in a wonton wrapper. It was a 10 out of 10. Another thing we learned about this time was the restaurant's exclusive wine locker options. It was super fun to be able to have our own bottle!

Yelp
*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW I came for KC restaurant week and got the three course lunch deal. I started with the butternut squash bisque, then the chicken piccata, and finished with the crème brûlée. the bisque was good but sweet, and the crème brûlée was delicious - very custardy. However, my chicken was very dry and overall lackluster. Unfortunately, I did get sick almost immediately after eating. The staff were very kind, and everything was denoted GF that I ordered, so there must have been some cross contamination in the kitchen. :(

Yelp
This has become one of my favorite places to go to to celebrate special occasions! The staff always makes any special event feel extra important. They can personalize menus if given enough time. My favorite dessert in KC is here! They have a chocolate bar, which is a soft and creamy texture, with a base crunch. I have gone out of my way several times to purchase this dessert.

Yelp
My first time visiting here did not disappoint! The patio was amaaaazing and huge. The menu was quite impressive and the service was good. I ordered a turkey sandwich with fries, I thought it was good but will probably try something more Italian next time. I'd love to come back and try their happy hour!
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
The patio vibes are absolutely immaculate here - really plays into the Italian theme. I didn't care for the BBQ Pork Belly, as it was too burnt and tough of meat. The Calamari was good though. Service was attentive and kind. While the happy hour food didn't necessarily stand out, the prices were very reasonable for the atmosphere and I will definitely be back for happy hour and/or brunch!

Yelp
Back for dinner last weekend. Great friendly service and meals. Wine selection was superb as well. Tab seemed more in line this time too so I highly recommend Trezo for a nice Italian seafood dinner. Loved it.

Yelp
Service was amazing. We made reservations for 6:30 pm on a Saturday night & were sat promptly at that time. The seasonal pomegranate margarita was so delicious! We got the Tuscan dip for an appetizer. Also delicious but sadly the dip had a large chunk of cream cheese that didn't get mixed in well enough. For entrees we got the roasted chicken & the salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly but had zero flavor :( the roasted chicken was great. However, the Brussel sprout side it came with was quite spicy & it didn't mention that on the menu. The atmosphere is classy yet lively. I do think it's time for an update with the booths, curtains, light fixtures, floors, etc.

Yelp
Wow! Definitely a 5 star experience for us at our anniversary dinner tonight. We made a reservation for 6:15, patio options were limited to high tops so we opted for inside, and ended up really happy with the romantic quiet atmosphere that made it easy to converse while we ate! Our waiter was amazing and had recommendations for just about every course. The drinks were delicious and came out quick, same with the appetizers. The main courses were worth the price and you could taste the freshness. They also gave us a special happy anniversary note on the menu and free dessert! It was a great date night and we will absolutely return.

Yelp
I have graced the doors of this wonderful place many times, danced on the deck when I was not supposed to, eaten their excellent food, and enjoyed the staff immensely. Is it cheap? Nope. Is it traditional Italian? It's not intended to be. Trezo found a place in my heart the week they opened. If you are here just for dinner, you missed the point.

Yelp
The atmosphere was beautiful. Great patio, with a beautiful sunset. I got the fusilli Diablo chicken and my friend had the pork chop. We shared a calamari appetizer together. Overall the service was decent. We went during dinner rush and it was packed. Food was decent but the portions quite small for the price. Overall I wouldn't come here just to eat. It would be for a special occasion.

Yelp
I ordered a margherita pizza and it was very delicious. I went here with some colleagues and our server was beyond accommodating. She was so kind and extremely attentive. It's a cute restaurant, my colleagues highly recommend this restaurant. Service was fast, we were seated immediately. Prices are reasonable.
google avatar

Yelp
Their food is good, but mostly go here for the happy hour and just the ambiance of the patio! It's a great vibe. Again, food is good--just nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of taste/flavor. Would give it in between 3 & 4 stars if Yelp let me!

Yelp
We were celebrating my wife's birthday today. I made a special request to be seated at the right place and we had a cake to cut although we came a little late to the restaurant. They still made us find the best seat available they decorated the table to make it look nice. I have been to multiple restaurants locally in different countries, but one of the beautiful things that I like about restaurants around Midwest and especially within Kansas area is that they're outstanding customer service. We were taking care of so well today. There was a small issue with our main course, they changed the entire dish for us within few minutes made sure that we are satisfied and they were assisting us. They're making sure that we like it They were. It was more than the time that they could stay in the restaurant, but they made sure that we are completely satisfied everybody in the restaurant are absolutely absolutely amazing, very respectful and generally taking pride and caring for the restaurant and their service. No wonder I'm going to give them five star and make sure that I'm gonna go back to them again with bunch of friends so they can see how amazing these people are by the way the food was outstanding and these guys have generally Went above and beyond to take care of their customers. Thank you all.

Yelp
Beautiful patio and great ambience inside. I usually come for the fabulous happy hour but went with a large group for my friends birthday on saturday night. Not only were they able to accommodate comfortably but service was excellent. They even took the cake back and cut it for us with no cake cut fee. Steak was cooked perfectly and the wine was excellent.

Yelp
This used to be my go-to happy hour spot. Still a great happy hour menu. Service was great. It gets busy quickly on Fridays, so get there early. Unfortunately, the food has changed a bit. I LOVE the whipped goat cheese, but it was smaller than I remembered it being. Taste was exactly how I remembered it though. My husband got a flatbread pizza and the main flavor was ketchup. I'd definitely skip the pizza next time.

Yelp
The building and seating options are really nice. There is a dog friendly patio ! We got to sit next to the fire inside and that was a great ambience. I felt that the front staff lacked a little customer service. We weren't greeted very friendly at first. However, our waitress was very nice and helpful. I got the short rib pasta and man was that delicious ! We got a side of bread for $2. You can ask for balsamic. I feel the drinks are a bit pricey. Overall I did enjoy my experience and would come back.

Yelp
If you're looking for the perfect date night spot, this is it. A very comfy and homey type of feel, but on the high end side! I'd heard great things about Trezo Mare and decided to check it out for myself and was so very pleased with the outcome. I recommend making reservations which is what we did, when we left there was a line out the door! The service was great, everyone was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Even though it was a little slow, the food was worth it. We started with the fried calamari, although I was expecting rings and not fries, it was still very tasty served with a unique orange kind of spicy sauce. We also ordered the wedge and they split it for us, the waitress knew the drill! I ordered the scallops for dinner with purple potatoes, purple brocoli, and asparagus topped with a very good sweet sauce. For $35 I would have like 4 scallops as compared to 3, but it was extremely tasty and I would order again. My husband ordered the pork belly and he said it was fantastic. I tried some of his sauce and potatoes and they were the most unique potatoes I've ever had- in a good way! I can't describe them, you'll have to try yourself! We ended with a vanilla creme brûlée, something you can't go wrong with! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Went here for the first time during restaurant week for lunch! It was a great experience and everything was delicious. The server was attentive and kind and the atmosphere was upscale but casual at the same time. For the main course, I had the diablo pasta dish with sausage and it was delicious. I just wish the portion was bigger! Aside from that the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sausage was flavorful. I also enjoyed the fried calamari for the appetizer. It was tender and the outer breading gave a nice crunch without being too thick. Went perfectly with their dipping sauce. Will definitely come here again!

Yelp
Food: visited for KC Restaurant Week and enjoyed a 3 course lunch for $20. Stars of the show for us were the pasta and tiramisu. The pasta sauce had a slight kick to it and it was cooked perfectly al dente. Tiramisu was not too overpowering with the coffee flavor. The creme brûlées fruits on top were old and mushy. Service: friendly service and timed everything perfectly for our courses. Ambiance: located in Briarcliff Village on a hill. It's a spacious restaurant with Italian and rustic style. There's a bar area that was bustling on a Monday. Overall, the experience had us feeling content. I would come back for other items on the menu and to sit on their outdoor patio.

Yelp
We came here for our anniversary with our whole family. We made a reservation and we're seated right away. Our waitstaff was very nice and attentive. We ordered appetizers: the Fried Calamari and the Chicken Artichoke Dip. The Calamari was chewy and the dip was bland. We ordered our meals..I had the Honey Bourbon Pork Belly. The pork and the polenta was SALTY!!!! I get that the polenta was cheddar but the salt content was so high! I was hoping for the carrots to cut some of the salt with their natural sweetness, but was not so lucky. The carrots weren't sweet at all! Just more salt. I also had a Caesar Salad that had barely any dressing. You could barely see it on the salad. Hubs had the Bucatini Carbonara. His was also very salty and the noodles were not cooked fully. He said they were hard still in some spots. My son had the Scimeca's Chorizo pizza minus the jalapeños. He said it was good. He's also 13 and it was it was pizza. The baby was having none it. She spot out everything we tried to give her. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Bars. They were hard as bricks. I get that it's a mousse and it should be set. This was hard like back of the freezer for weeks hard. Once it thawed enough that the fork could go through, it was really good. Very rich. Wish we didn't have to wait for it to get soft enough to be enjoyable. The two stars are for the dessert and our waitstaff. She was a gem. Maybe it was an off day but we won't try it again. We definitely live by the "fool me once..." saying.

Yelp
Very nice dinner with the family here. We liked the cute decor on the table for Christmas! There was like these lanterns that were a snow globe. My baby loved to look at it. The server was very nice and attentive and we had a few birthdays we were celebrating and she put candles in their desserts. Food was good as well. Most of us got chicken parmesan.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great ambiance! I started with a tipsy tulip, which was very cute with the added "special sparkle." Next we ordered cinnamon rolls, and they were lovely. Moist but not too much so, and with just the right amount of icing on top. I had to try the spinach salad with my biscuits and gravy, it was a great addition! Not too much dressing and just the right amount of cheese. Everything else was great! We ended with the chocolate bars, a small, sweet ending to a great meal.
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
It's hard to consider this "upscale" dining when you have 15% of diners in sweatpants on a Saturday night. It feels more like an Olive Garden, with a better menu. The food is very good! I had Shrimp Diablo, which was quite spicy (as advertised). The chicken artichoke dip was delicious. I'd get that again. My Wife had a petite filet. I liked the beschemel drizzled on top, but she didn't care for it. Our server was friendly and helpful. Also brought us everything without delay. My biggest complaint is the lack of red wine variety. Lots of bottles, but only 15 or so options by the glass. My wife only likes red blends. The only red blend on the menu was also the most expensive ($20/glass). We tried it, though, and I enjoyed it. Good food, I'd eat there again.

Yelp
Best calamari in the city, hands down. I had the grilled chicken sandwich - which is incredible on brioche - with calamari and their chocolate bar. All three, no notes. Our waitress was so kind and mild mannered, totally anticipated our needs and it was a cozy lunch!

Yelp
Location: North Kansas City Briarcliff Ambiance: outdoor and indoor seating. This is a nice place. Ok, it is also a great place to bring a date Food: It was ok. Some dishes are substantially better than others. Stuffed trout was delicious. The short rib was slightly cold. Fuego was a good idea but poorly executed. Seafood was of poor quality. Shrimp was overcooked. Tomato and Rosemary overwhelmed the seafood. Scallops were supposed to be there, but It was difficult for me to taste it. Desserts were delicious Service: The waitress was nice, but it took so long for everything. We waited more than 20 minutes to get the bottle of wine that we ordered. Food took around 40 min. Unacceptable. I am invested in finding an outstanding Italian restaurant

Yelp
We visited Trezo Mare yesterday (Thursday night) as a walk in and they happily sat us promptly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, we sat in a corner booth in the bar. It was cozy and perfect. Our server was excellent. She was pleasant, very helpful and did her job well. Unfortunately our experience only warrants 3 stars. We had the chicken poblano soup and it was very tasty. We decided to have entree salads. My husband had the Blvd. Chicken salad which he thought was good, but could've used a bit more dressing and the chicken pieces were tasty, a nice light batter but were season-less. Now the reason for the 3 stars. My Steak Wedge Salad actually deserved a 1 star. I am a wedge connoisseur so I was excited to try Trezo's twist on the dish. Big bonus, a side of steak. The wedge was a bit disappointing and very heavy on the pimento. But, I would have finished it if it weren't for the fact that it was soaked in beef blood. Don't get me wrong, the steak pieces were cooked a perfect medium. BUT...I could tell as soon as the plate was being set in front of me that something was wrong. The scent of beef that was on the cusp of turning rancid hit me. My stomach turned a bit but I thought I'd try it. I cut a couple pieces and it indeed tasted old and unfortunately had absolutely no seasoning. Nada! Not even salt and pepper. Bland. I had my husband taste a piece to make sure I wasn't wrong. He agreed! We raise our own beef, so I am very familiar with the smell of beef going bad. When our server checked on us I told her my steak was not good, it tasted old. She offered to have the chef cook me different steak or chicken and I declined. And offered a free dessert as we payed the check, which we also declined. I ate about half of the small wedge and 3 small bites of the steak. Disappointing to say the least.

Yelp
I'm honestly shocked to realize that I haven't reviewed Trezo prior to today! I have so many wonderful things to say about this place! First, the location is wonderful! It's right off of 169 in Briarcliff with a gorgeous view of downtown and the patio is exceptional. The bar area is very nice and general seating is very comfortable. I've also hosted a couple showers at Trezo and their event space is beautiful! Secondly, the food! I have pretty much all of the menu and it's all delicious. They participate in restaurant week as well and the quality is great! I also used their buffet option for one of the showers. We had tea sandwiches, salad, flatbreads, a mimosa bar, and more. Everything was great! People were complimenting the food and venue a lot! Lastly, the service! I have always had the best service at Trezo. The food comes out quick and accurately. Drinks are always full! My experience with the showers was exceptional too! It was so easy to plan and host with the help of their event coordinator. If you're looking for a great place to have lunch or dinner with a friend or a date this is the place! If you're looking for a venue to host a shower... check this out! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Trezo Mare is an upscale dining experience, but has all the feel of a relaxed restaurant. First thing you notice when you walk in as that old world meets modern decor. Lots of dark wood and red cloth but also cane and rattan. Very stylish and comforting they make my signature drink beautifully (Bombay Sapphire Martini), big ups for that. We started off with the Fried Calamari and Bruschetta. Both were wonderfully done. The calamari was fried to perfection and not chewy at all. The bruschetta was fresh and flavorful we both got the same pasta for dinner, Bucatini Carbonara. The pasta was perfect al dente and was loaded with grilled chicken, crispy pork belly, peas, and topped off with a velvety egg yolk. It was so good. We are going to make a second trip as I need to try their Shrimp Mac & Cheese ( I hope it is as fabulous as their Lobster Mac & Cheese was) and save room to try desserts.

Yelp
I have a hard time writing a 3 start review of Trezo mainly because both times I have eaten here it has been delicious. The food is always on point, and the service is always good. It is always packed so I recommend a reservation if you can. This last visit they were booked but bar was open, thankfully there were two spots for my husband and I and again, the food was delicious. Now, where my 3 star review comes in to play: My husband ordered a "pour" of a nice bourbon. Usually a pour is 1 oz and a fraction of the bottle price. Well our bartender did not inform my husband that their standard pour is 2.5oz AND their pricing for their pours are highway robbery. My husband paid $60 for 2.5oz of a bottle that cost $129 retail, WE PAID FOR HALF THE BOTTLE BASICALLY. After looking at the menu (which the bartender did not give us until AFTER we saw our price) my husband pointed out multiple bottles that were less than what the restaurant charges for a pour. Absolutely insane.

Love this place! From first date to impressing your friends, it is amazing! Every dish is so good!!! Great service too! And the manager is always there taking care of everyone!

Yelp
We have been coming here for over a decade. Brunch, lunch, and dinner is always outstanding. The atmosphere is lovely -- beautiful but relaxed dining room and a cozy bar. Outdoor dining has gorgeous city views. Try their chocolate bars or Nutella cheesecake for dessert!

Yelp
Went to this restaurant for a bachelorette dinner. A server was amazing and she was able to provide excellent recommendations for food and beverages. She was patient with our table as we had no idea what we were going to order. Eventually, I decided to get the margarita pizza and it was just OK. The tomatoes were huge and the pizza was definitely lacking flavor nor did it look like the photos online from other patrons. But all in all I ate half the pizza. The dinner party I arrived with all enjoyed their food. 5/5 stars for the service, 4/5 for my food.

Yelp
Arrived for dinner in the middle of the week with a large business group. They reserved a back room for us and I was quite impressed with the entire experience. I've been in a number of business dinners where the restaurant was completely overwhelmed by 20 people and it turns into this weirdly long catered dinner. Not here! They were able to handle the demand effortlessly. Well, maybe not effortlessly - I'm sure they all worked hard to make it happen - but it seemed like a normal meal. The place was very nice and fancy, but I didn't see much beyond the back room which I enjoyed and was comfortable. Most importantly, they didn't crowd us all around the most dense seating arrangement. That was truly nice as these things go. We had a couple waitresses assigned to us and they were pros! At times a large number of runners assisted so it was a definite team effort. We had an assortment of appetizers. I remember the calamari was was HUGE. Usually it's a bunch of bits. This was pretty significant sizes and very tasty. There was this spring roll thing, sorry - didn't catch what it was called. It was kind of good. Nothing to rave about, but good. I went with the potato soup instead of a salad. It was richly creamy, smooth and wonderful as potato soups go. It was a good choice but really quite filling. Should have gone with a salad - not because it wasn't good, but because it was a lot with all the other items. I finished up with the Walleye. I was shocked to see it on the menu this far south. But, I'm a sucker for the fish and it was just as flavorful, delicate and sweet as I've always had. I could have eaten the entire fish! Definitely a place I would recommend and wish I could visit again.

Yelp
Went here for lunch and it was so yummy. Each time I go here, I get so excited to tried their menu. They have an extensive menu and this time I wanted a chicken sandwich! Bacon was so huge and so was the sandwich, they did not skimped out! I had to save the other half for leftovers. I also like their calamari fries. It's so tender and cooked well. I could eat that for days. The vibes is great for group, dates, or just by yourself. We had a great server who was attentive and cater to our needs. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Look, fool me once? Shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I gave this place two stars in the past when I tried it during restaurant week, but I thought it might have been a fluke. I thought about revisiting since then, but I always felt hesitant to spend money again at this establishment. I was right to be hesitant, and I regret going back. Here are the deets: 1) The place is incredibly dated. The curtains are a weird pattern, and the seating is uncomfortable. 2) The pizza came on top of a pasta plate. The bottom immediately collected condensation and created a soggy mess at the bottom of my pizza. Terrible. 3) The garlic bread seemed to be cheese-topped slices of regular, store-bought toast and lacked garlic flavor. You guys can't just hide the lack of good, crusty bread with cheese! To say I was shocked is an understatement. The one positive is that their pasta was perfectly al dente. Thank goodness someone in the kitchen knew that overcooked pasta would be the nail in the coffin. Unfortunately, the pastas were nothing to write home about... just enough to write on Yelp about. Save yourself from wasting time waiting to be seated only to receive soggy pizza by ordering from someplace like Marco's or Tascio's. You could make better pastas at home. Won't be going back.

Yelp
Came here for the outdoor patio and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We were originally going to bring our dog too, but decided against it since we didn't know if the patio would be big enough. Next time, we will definitely bring our dog though! Huge patio with beautiful summer flowers! Not the prettiest view, but loved the food and our drinks. The white sangria was my favorite and my husband loved his pineapple upside down drink. The yuzu cocktail was refreshing and good, but I still liked my sangria better. Shrimp pasta was excellent--they split it between our two plates. Overall had a great time and will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
Server came to fill up water glasses, introduced himself, and told specials. Then left. Didn't ask for drink or app orders. Came back about five minutes later and obtained drink and app order. Came back with the non alcoholic beverages and said that the bar is backed up because the patio is open and the bar doesn't know how to work both levels of orders. Margarita was way too sweet. Dinner order came out in two different waves. Chicken was dry. Had to go to the kitchen to ask for more ketchup for kids meal because no one checked in after all of meal was delivered. Was looking forward to ordering dessert, but due to wait times with everything it wasn't worth it for us. Tried to charge us for drinks that came with kids meal. Service was slow overall. Food was not worth the prices.

Yelp
Great food and beautiful patio! I really enjoy dining in here but when I've ordered to go, there is a man that takes my order who is rude and condescending. This makes me hesitant to order from them and often I'll go with a different restaurant because of it. Other staff have been very friendly though!

Yelp
Visiting the area for only one evening and had planned to eat at another Italian restaurant but it closed at 8 pm. So a quick search led us to Treza Mare and it was delightful! We had fabulous service and the food was delicious. Our server recommended the Pork Saltimbocca and it was divine. The seafood bucatini was also good, glad I asked them to up the garlic. Spinach salad with pear vinaigrette was a great starter. Cocktail list had a wide range of options. We were very pleased with our experience.

Yelp
The atmosphere and service were both great. The food wasn't a standout by any means, just ok. Expected quite a bit more out of the scallop from the "treasure of the sea". As for the steak - cooked to medium, medium-well for a medium rare request.

Yelp
This is a nice restaurant in the Briarcliff area of KC north. They have a great patio, and while the views are not fantastic, the patio has a good atmosphere and provides for an enjoyable experience. Inside the restaurant is a bit dark and the bar area is big but a bit blah. It could use some updates but is nice for evening or winter. It just doesn't feel like a place you want to sit during spring or summer. The food is solid. We only had apps and drinks but everything was great. The bruschetta and Trezo Rolls did not disappoint. The bunch cocktails were strong and full of flavor. We had the Empress G&T and Cranberry Spritz. Great patio cocktails. Had this been the whole experience, 5 stars but if I was rating just on service /management - 3 stars. This excludes our actual server. Mikaela was awesome. Same can't be said for the hostesses and managers. The restaurant was not even half full early afternoon on a Sunday and became more empty as our meal progressed. Despite this, the hostess was actively channeling people away from the beautiful patio in favor of tables in the dank restaurant. She told us all of the tables with shade were gone so we opted for a table in the bar, which she tried to then seat us at a regular two person table in a dark corner between the kitchen entrance and a fireplace. There was only one other couple in the whole bar area who were sat in a similar situation in a far corner behind a curtain. We asked to at least sit at a high top and it was between the actual bar and the patio windows. Fine. Except, we looked out at the patio and it was less than half full (probably 9 of 22-24 tables), with four tables in complete share unoccupied. We asked our served (not the hostess) to be moved outside and she was great about it. We were sat at a great high top, in complete shape, near the rail of their patio. As we looked around several shades tables remained unoccupied with a couple just dirty and not cleaned after guests left. At least three more parties were brought outside and sat in direct sunlight (it was 80+ - felt warmer) while shade sat available and unoccupied. Two different couples near us asked to be moved and a third just got up and took a different table - ha. The hostess was simple rude and lazy, and the management didn't seem to care about customer experience given how long tables sat dirty and customer requests went ignored. Like I mentioned, our actual server was great but observation of the overall restaurant and hearing other guests, our experience was the exception not the norm during our visit. Still, it was really nice once we got it sorted.

Yelp
Looking for a new place to go on date nights or a spot to check out with friends? You need to come here! I can't believe this was my first time checking this place out. My boyfriend made reservations for us on New Year's Eve and I was very pleased with my experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful. I love the layout and decor. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the patio because it was cold outside but I'm definitely coming back when it's good patio weather. I've had several people tell me the patio is beautiful and a must check out during the good weather months. The server we had was amazing. She suggested the winter cosmo to me and it was delicious and got the job done. Of course, all the food was superb. I left there with my tummy full of great food and a good buzz. I can't wait to come back and check out their breakfast/brunch time menu! Seriously this is a must try place!!!
