Tribal tastes USED to be my favourite place to get my droewors and biltong fix. Their droewors used to be melt in your mouth goodness with that satisfying snap. BUT, seemingly in the span of 2 years, they have gone to my most favourite to my least favourite. I just bought some droewors, and the texture... my God the texture is atrocious. Rubbery and flimsy and the flavour is off. Someone with a weaker stomach might get food poisoning from its consumption. I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs cause it would be considered an act of cruel and unusual punishment protected my the Geneva convention. Staff seem to change constantly, and they dont seem to employ South Africans or Africans for that matter. Dont waste your money here, go to The South African Shop or Tony's meats. Or better yet order online from Springbok Foods up in Queensland.

Google
Huge ripoff. No prices listed, says $10 on website. Ends up being $20 for 100g. Never seen biltong this expensive. And quality was not as good as other biltong delis I’ve been to

I love the Lentils in African Sauce. They are so tasty and delicious. The staff at Tribal Tastes Food are always friendly and happy to help no matter how busy they are. I will continue to shop with them. They provide a very good service and Rosie is lovely and helpful. Thank you.

We love Australia but this was the wrost experiences. Beware! Scammers to tourists Read all the real reviews in Google about them over charging. My family were visiting from Mexico, and I thought to support small business from South Africa. Be very careful buying meats here. There were two male employees there and one was telling the other to charge more, and the initial quoted price was not the same as what they asked to pay. They did not weight the jerkies and just threw out a random number for the amount. Over $50 for few skinny jerkies that were so tough to chew. The owner gave very ugly look when I told him it’s enough and don’t put any more in the bag.

Quite possibly the worst ever boerewors we've ever had. The skin on the sausage was so thick we couldn't eat it. The sausage was tough and dry. $127 for 3 1kg packs. I'd return the other 2 if I could. No use by date on the packs. I had to wonder how long they'd been in the freezer 🤔

A total rip off. $26 for 120g. I thought it was expensive, I didn’t realise by how much until I weighed it when I got home. It doesn’t even taste that great.

I used to love coming here but for quite some time their slicer has been out of action and I have had to put up with super thick slices served by a guy who didn't really seem to care too much... Next time I will buy a slab and cut it myself... Sad to see a good biz go downhill... I won't post up pictures to give these guys a chance hut just not acceptable in current format

Google
Possibly some of the worst ever biltong no flavour and so wet , doesn't mind charging for it very expensive and the slices are so thick makes it very hard to chew even though i ask for thin slices and was told yes , handed thick slices it and looks like he's hacked it off the slab Wouldn't even offer a tax invoice.... please don't bother, then they might change their ways
