The 29 Best Restaurants In Lisbon - Lisbon - The Infatuation

"Different is the best word to describe Tricky’s, and not in the way your mom would describe your new tattoo. This spot reflects the new international Lisbon, where people from all over the world came for a trip, fell in love with the city, and never left. Head here for things like tortellini with Jerusalem artichokes or octopus with chickpeas, and expect a good time—the vibe is relaxed and fun, and the music is cheesy in a way that you’ll actually enjoy. After your meal, venture out to the bars in Cais do Sodré." - rita geraldes

Lisbon Was Just Named the Best Culinary City Destination in Europe — Here Are Must-eat Places, According to a Local

"Have a funky, trendy, and extremely tasty meal at Tricky’s. It too has plenty of shareable plates — the tuna and the razor clams are particularly wonderful — and it also has lots and lots of fantastic cocktails and local wines. Invite friends. Stay as long as they'll let you." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. This was my second time here and it was just as amazing as the first. The food is seriously next level—every dish feels so fresh and creative. The service couldn’t be better, super attentive and welcoming. We sat at the counter again, which is the best spot in my opinion. Watching the chefs work is like getting dinner and a show at the same time. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels special, and you can tell they put a lot of care into everything. Definitely one of those places you look forward to coming back to again and again

Without a doubt the most memorable meal in Lisbon!! This place exceeded every expectation. Each morsel of food was just divine. This is the kind of the place one must order every dish of the menu. It doesn’t matter if you like the ingredients or not. You just need to trust the chef (s) who btw are magicians coz they know how to expertly combine different ingredients creating a dish beyond imagination. The service is equally phenomenal. Super friendly, polite, helpful, attentive and prompt without an ounce of pretentiousness. I actually hugged the chef on way out coz I was so floored with my dinner experience!

Blown away by our meal here, not just outstanding food, but amazing service and a fun atmosphere. We ate our way through most of the menu, every dish was 10 put of 10, some dishes were so good we had to order another portion. Great wine selection, good playlist and the friendliest staff we experienced in Lisboa. If you can only visit one place in the city, make it here!

Cannot rate or recommend highly enough. I dined solo but was sat at the kitchen bar, which was so nice as all of the staff were so welcoming, friendly, informative and accommodating! Really warm and casual atmosphere, but food was out of this world.. I tried as many dishes as I could - aided by the fact that all of the medium plates could be halved (bar the pork neck)! Every single thing I had was incredible and so original, and complex. I asked if everything could be staggered and the order the dishes came in was so perfect, with each dish contrasting the previous. I would find myself smiling and laughing in surprise and pleasure! I would recommend certain plates, but the dishes change regularly and as far as I can tell you can’t go wrong. Drinks and cocktails were also original and wonderfully crafted. Just go! Chat to the staff, ask for recommendations and enjoy. Music also on point.

A couple friends of mine and I had dinner here on our last day in Portugal, and it was the best all-around dining experience of our 3-week trip. I wish I could've tried everything on the menu! All the dishes were creative, perfectly balanced, and plated beautifully with generous portions. Our server Roberto was friendly, funny, and attentive, and recommended wines which perfectly complemented our meal. Loved the warm, fun buzz, the music, and the layout which includes a chef's counter perfect for lone diners and couples. Can't recommend highly enough!

This was our favourite in Lisbon. It’s relaxed and casual but with a great vibe, fantastic food, fabulous service and with the music to match. We really liked the concept of tasty snacks to start with and then continuing with dishes to share. Our favourites were the kohlrabi taco and the cracker with beef tartar. Cash only. Reservation is essential. Highly recommended

Best meal we have had for a while! An incredible selection of small places and amazing wines. The service was amazing, for every plate we received the chef came to the table to explain it to you and they were incredibly knowledgeable. Can’t fault any of the dishes and would definitely recommend the sour beer!

This place is amazing… if you’re in Lisbon, go! Considering the quality of the food the prices are insane… it’s a small plate concept and you share across the table. Honestly, it’s better than some Michelin starred restaurants at far lower prices… good cocktails too
