The 33 Best Restaurants in Providence, Rhode Island - Eater

"Tricycle Ice Cream transforms childhood treats like Push-Up pops, dipped cones, and Choco Tacos into gourmet desserts. Co-owners David Cass and Gio Salvador started their business as a three-wheeled vending cart selling gourmet ice cream sandwiches in flavors like Callebaut chocolate ice cream on salty pretzel cookies and Thai tea ice cream on toasted coconut cookies. After a few years, they expanded their sweet vision into a storefront in 2019, giving Salvador a chance to mastermind even more creative combinations." - Jenna Pelletier

This ice cream is definitely worth a try. There are a lot of choices to choose from and the prices are super reasonable. They have iPads with all the flavors and explanations of everything in the ice cream. The staff is very friendly. There is free street parking!

This place is amazing. Just tried for the first time. I got the passionfruit with a berry middle dipped im white chocolate with toasted coconut on the outside drumstick ice cream cone 10/10. I also got the strawberry ice cream sandwhich and vanilla ice cream sandwhich on chocolate cookies. Can't wait to try those for dessert tonight with my hubby! Definitely recommend this place!

Once the pandemic rules allowed restaurants to open we discovered tricycle ice cream shop in providence. Back then not a lot of people venture out so in many occasions we were the only clients in the store. My girlfriend and I really love the sandwich icecream, l always order the coffee flavor while my girlfriend always tries new things. Over the years we have brought friends and family to get ice cream there because we love it so much, we want to share this young providence institution. The owners, Dave in particular is a super friendly guy with great memory, he remember us and always greet us with a nice smile, l am shock he remembers my favorite flavor. Please make yourself a favor and drop by for the best ice cream sandwich you will ever have, now when l try their ice cream l cant help thinking about home providence. I wish them success and that they continue brightening life with their great products. I have to admit that l have the icecream during winter too even when is freezing outside!

Thai tea ice cream sandwich is the best. Very creamy. The cookie of raspberry is too sweet. But the ice cream is perfectly sour and sweet

I came in for the vegan ice cream sandwich. The presentation was cute. I like how crispy the gluten free bar is on these. The ice cream does have a coconut base which in my opinion could be better. But overall it was pretty good.

Google
Sweet inventive treats!! First time there and will be back!! Got the Dave’s coffee ice cream cookie sandwich and a peanut butter chocolate taco - both tasted like super high-quality ingredients and a perfect marriage of texture and flavor in a creative dessert ❤️ Pro tip: let them thaw for ~15 minutes for maximum enjoyment. (If you can wait that long) Takeaways: ⭐️go back to try more flavors ⭐️crunchy and sweet ⭐️get 1 of each: taco & cookie sandwich — EDIT: We’ve been back and had their entire menu. Just ate their matcha ocean with shortbread cookie and classic coffee with coca cookie. Sad we’ll be moving away from Rhode Island this summer. Do you guys ship!?!!!

Google
Great ice cream, cute atmosphere. However, there was no gelato or stand-alone ice cream options as listed online. Only visit here if you are in the mood for an ice cream sandwich, taco, or push pop.

The ice cream is so good. So delicious, so creamy, so crispy. Hope they can open more hours.

Yelp
Tricycle Ice Cream in Providence might just be the place that proves ice cream isn't only for sunny days. Even with the arctic chill, I couldn't resist stopping by while I was in town--and it was worth it! I had the Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Nilla Wafers sandwiched between two Peanut Butter Cookies, dipped in Callebaut Chocolate, and topped with roasted peanuts. Probably the best ice cream sandwich I've ever had, and I don't say that lightly. These folks don't just make ice cream; they create art. Have you seen their IG page? And everything tastes just as good! From cones and tacos to creative ice cream sandwiches, everything feels like a special treat. They also have specials (though they'd sold out by the time I arrived--and I hear they're super fun and creative seasonal flavors). Next time, I've got my eye on the horchata sandwich. If you're in Providence, do yourself a favor and stop by Tricycle. Rain, shine, or snow, this place is 100% worth the trip. Ice cream cravings don't care about the weather, and neither do I!

Yelp
As soon as you walk in, the aroma of the waffles and cookies warms you up. We had the pleasure of trying the Thai tea and Ube with toasted coconut flakes ice cream sandwiches. The ice cream was wonderfully flavorful and not too sweet. The cookies were a bit harder than to my liking, but did allow the ice cream to shine through. Staff was friendly and informed us the sandwiches were frozen, so to wait a bit before enjoying. Would recommend you giving it a shot in case you're in for a sweet treat!

Yelp
We had the Oreo sandwich and fruity pebble sandwich, both were delicious! The employees were friendly and knowledgeable about the ice cream. The shop is filled with plants and there are a few tables that customers can sit at.
google avatar

Yelp
The ice cream sandwiches were great! They are $5 each and are individually wrapped in an artsy packaging. The red velvet with cheese cake filling was delicious. The Oreo Salted Caramel was just as good too. Couldn't decide! The ice pops are $4 and the mango one was good. The workers offer a tablet to see what the sandwiches look like if you want to see a display. I love the logo of the bear on a tricycle and the esthetic of the store. Two small table for groups of three to sit at. The inside is pretty small. Smells lovely in there and the art of the menu is beautiful. On a corner where there's plenty of street parking. Can't wait to try a new flavor when I come back!

Yelp
I am literally OBSESSED with this ice cream shop... and I have to admit, I'm not really an ice cream kind of girl but Tricycle is unique & special. The flavor combos are truly culinary creations. My go-to order is the passionfruit mimosa sorbet push pop. It is slightly sour but yet refreshing - ultimately crave-worthy & palate-cleansing. It was time to try an ice cream taco. Hubby selected the creamy peanut butter & chocolate chip ice cream in a chocolate waffle shell, dipped in Callebaut chocolate & topped with Oreo pieces. It is HUGE & decadent. We ended up cutting it in half to save some for tomorrow. So much chocolate. OMG! Last but not least, I wanted to try something else & the owner recommended the Thai tea ice cream + toasted coconut cookies sandwich. Much more subtle than the chocolate taco but the ice cream was really the star of this selection. In addition, another thing that Tricycle does well is the packaging. You are meant to purchase more than you can eat & take it will you for consumption later. If you are ever in the neighborhood (ahem Atwells), take out your phone & preorder Tricycle for your dessert pickup. Or go in & check out what's new. Every week, there are new concoctions. NOM NOM NOM #YUM

Yelp
This place was made for me. I wanted to try so many things which was made obvious by the fact that I got enough for 5 people. My husband and I shared: - Fruity Pebble Taco - Passion Fruit Drumstick - Bananas Foster Blondie Sandwich Everything was fantastic. The passion fruit drumstick was my favorite followed by the bananas foster blondie sandwich. You really can't go wrong though. It seems like it's not really made to be eaten there because they warn you to wait a bit to let it soften before eating it.

Yelp
Service 5/5 Ice cream 3.5/5 Price 4/5 Ambiance/Interior 2/5 Tricycle was Ok - the carrot flavored cheesecake ice cream did not taste of carrot. The texture was good although for $5 a bar it was not particularly anything special. The brazilian passion fruit was better. The service was great although seating is very limited seats are very high and it's really not made for dine-in guest.
google avatar

Anthony T.

Yelp
Fast, casual, eccentric, ready-to-go sweet treats that you'll want to eat before your feet hit the street. My wife and I shared their Bananas Foster Ice Cream Sandwich, Fruity Pebble Taco, and Passion Fruit Drumstick which was waaaaay too much for two people. About twice as much as either of us wanted and expected. If we were staying nearby and had a freezer then it wouldn't have been a problem but we were stopping by on our way to our hotel in Newport. That being said, still happy we tried all three. They were all good and no one in particular stood out amongst the rest.
google avatar

Yelp
Seriously love this place! Second time I've been and I can't wait to go back. I got the fruity pebbles taco and also got the compost cookie sandwich and both were wow so good! Prices are reasonable as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Tricycle ice cream is probably my favorite ice cream shop in all of Providence, and that's high praise given how many fun, independent ice cream companies have cropped up! Tricycles flavors are so much more unique: if you like tropical fruit flavors, you have to try their guava, soursop, calamansi, and passion fruit pop ups. I'm also a huge fan of their pandan ice cream sandwich, and I always stock up on a bunch of ice cream to take home with me whenever I get the chance to visit! Gio and his other servers are always lovely to speak with and there is a cute outdoor patio space to eat at in the summer. Highly recommend and will be back again and again!

Yelp
While this unfortunately didn't quite live up to the hype, it was still a great option for a treat in Providence. I went with the ube ice cream sandwich which was rather plain, though still you could tell was quality. Aside from the ube not having as strong of a flavor as I would have liked, the concept and service was great. Parking can be a bit complicated in this area to figure out but after a couple of minutes orienting myself, I found a street spot. I've heard some of their chocolate and peanut butter options are highlights so I am looking forward to returning and giving those a try.
google avatar

Katrina P.

Yelp
As a Filipino person, I love having a Pinoy-owned business in the neighborhood. The Ube ice cream sandwich is criminally delicious.
google avatar

Christian R.

Yelp
I've been coming here for almost 5 years. Staff has always been friendly and recommends on how to wait until eating. Very savory flavors, favorites are Strawberry Cone, it's dipped with white chocolate and has a white chocolate bottom. Second is the fruity pebbles taco, with fruity pebbles ice cream and a Brim on the taco with fruity pebbles. Small area for seating, but this is a treat to take home and enjoy.
google avatar

Yelp
Tricycle is such a TREAT. I always look forward to coming here for an ice cream sandwich or push-pop. The flavor selection is impressive: calamansi, soursop, mango with Tajin, passionfruit for the push pops; Thai iced tea, matcha, ube, horchata, Brazilian passionfruit for the ice cream sandwiches. They also have more traditional flavors like vanilla, chocolate, cookies 'n crème for those who prefer to stick to familiar favorites. All the sandwiches are premade and frozen so service is ultra quick. This is a tiny corner takeout shop with limited seating indoors. They do have a few lovely picnic tables outdoors which is a nice addition! My words can't do Tricycle justice, you need to see the photos and go try it yourself.
google avatar

Briana L.

Yelp
Drove an hour just to try the ice cream and I was not disappointed! I loved the variety of unique flavors and all the ice creams looked amazing. I didn't mind that they were premade - all I had to do was wait a few minutes until it got to the right consistency to eat. I got the Ube and passionfruit. I loved the flavor of the Ube and it was cool that the passionfruit had a berry flavor core!

Yelp
Our family's summer tradition includes visiting the tricycle ice cream shop on Federal Hill. This cozy ice cream parlor boasts an assortment of unique and exciting flavors, such as expertly crafted ice cream sandwiches and tacos, along with thirst-quenching fruit popsicles. Our top picks include mango popsicles, Oreo ice cream tacos, mint tacos, and matcha ice cream sandwiches. We've also had the pleasure of sampling their special flavors, which have never disappointed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the shop is well-maintained. We look forward to enjoying more of their creative flavors in the future!
google avatar

Allison S.

Yelp
Tricycle ice cream is amazing! Their chocolate ice cream isn't too chocolate-y which is great for me as a person who doesn't like chocolate much. The ice cream gets given to you really quick, they have great service for only 2-4 people. And the atmosphere is calm with the plants and nice calming lofi music! Definitely rec

Yelp
We are visiting Providence and while browsing through the ice cream places near by on Yelp, I found this place with such good ratings. So although it's a rainy day, my family and me decided to try this. We were the only customers inside (might be due to the rain). Their menu is totally different where they offer ice cream drumsticks, tacos and sandwiches which I found very interesting. They offer a few diary free options (I guess, mostly in ice cream sandwiches). And today they had only a strawberry option so I got that. The catch here is everything they sell is pre made and pre packaged. When we got our ice creams it took a good 20 minutes to defrost those. My family loved the chocolate tacos. The strawberry sandwich (vegan) one was pretty good too. The employee who helped us with the ordering was extremely nice and helpful. I am sorry I totally forgot to take a picture.

Yelp
Amazing - can not wait to go back! This is definitely a staple for me anytime I am back home and looking for a sweet local treat!

Yelp
THE BEST LITTLE ICE CREAM PLACE EVER! We saw this place was 5 stars so we had to come try it and immediately recognized why. Everything we tried was incredible and so tasty. Everything is premade which makes it for a quick snack, it's super frozen and tastes so good! The employees were also 5 stars! So friendly. We are all sad we don't live closer because this would be a regular for us for sure. Can't wait till the next time I come back to Rhode Island to come here again.
google avatar

Amanda J.

Yelp
Definitely a must try. Sandwhiches and tacos are a huge portion. Home made taste and worth the stop. Street parking, cute little shop. Need a few mins to thaw out so if you have a drive they would prob stay fine in a cooler. Also right down the street from Bayberry Beer Hall, another great stop.
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
Ice cream sandwiches that bring the fun of eating a novelty ice cream and the deliciousness of perfect homemade flavors. Love the packaging and friendly staff inside. The ice cream and cookie were the perfect consistency for eating. I can't stop thinking about the Thai iced tea ice cream sandwich
google avatar

Willie R.

Yelp
I came here while on a random day trip to Providence. We stopped in given the Yelp reviews. The flavors are definitely a lot of fun, and really varied! I got a caramelized Fruity Pebbles ice cream sandwich. That thing was a sugar bomb, obviously, and I was only able to make it halfway through before my stomach started to get grumpy from all the sugar. That said, it was good but not amazing for me. We did have to let the ice cream sandwiches sit there for about ten minutes because they were frozen solid when we got them. Nice little stop in Providence.
google avatar

Marie M.

Yelp
Definitely a one-of-a-kind gourmet ice cream shop with international flavors from around the world. It's a hidden gem for sure because it's hard to spot, unlike the ice cream shacks you find on busy streets with a ton of outdoor seating. If you live on the East Side of Providence, be sure to visit!
google avatar

Caitlin T.

Yelp
I've been going to Tricycle for years. Gio is an absolute genius when it comes to ice cream desserts, and is so kind to greet us every time we visit. He masterfully combines flavors of the Philippines with other decadent flavors to create an ice cream sandwich that is simply incomparable to others you've had in your lifetime. The store on the corner has windows lined greenery, including Gio's calamansi tree he uses to make the Calamansi push pop. Do not sleep on the push pops.
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
Best ice cream I think I've ever had in the state of Rhode Island. My go-to is the Brazilian passionfruit ice cream sandwich with the mixed berry core on a toasted coconut cookie. Every time I have a bite, I feel like I'm back in Hawaii. Everything I've ever tried here is super good, but that one sandwich is seriously out of this world (this is also coming from a chocolate lover who generally only gets chocolate-based ice cream). The owner is incredibly sweet and hardworking. He goes into work at the crack of dawn and makes everything from scratch. Also, I know "ice cream season" is over, but this place is open year round. Thank you for serving us ice cream fanatics even in the snow! Seriously though, one bite of that passionfruit ice cream sandwich and you'll think you're on a tropical beach (not in frigid New England).
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try Tricycle, so I finally visited the shop and wasn't disappointed! I thought the flavors for the ice cream sandwiches were unique. I got the Thai tea, while my friend got the Ube. The server suggested that we wait for a few minutes before eating them to allow them to thaw a little. Perfect bite. I also thought the ice cream sandwiches were decently priced. You get a large amount for one. Would definitely return!
google avatar

Yelp
I went into Tricycle not really knowing what to expect -- I had heard "novelties" and "tacos" but didn't realize what they had were pre-packaged novelties, just made in house with awesome flavor combinations! We spent a while perusing the beautifully handdrawn chalkboard menu and debating what to get. The staff were super knowledgable about each of the items we asked about. We ended up getting the passionfruit ice cream drumstick and the calamansi push-pop. The treats come very very frozen so probably pretty perfect outside in hot weather. We ate it inside to escape the humidity so it took a while for the desserts to come to an edible temperature. The passionfruit drumstick ($7) was huge and delicious! It's made of a white chocolate shell with toasted coconut encasing a tart passionfruit ice cream, sweet mixed berry core, and a crunchy waffle cone, with some surprise white chocolate at the bottom of the cone. It was a delight from start to finish and importantly, not too sweet! I was seriously considering getting a taco to eat by myself afterwards (and i am not a dessert person usually), which speaks for how delicious it was without being super sweet and heavy. $7 is a steal for such a creation! They had a lot of cool fruit flavors of push-pops so we ended up getting the calamansi ($4). It was super tasty, with the perfect balance of sweet and sour. It has a similar texture to a Luigi italian ice, but with calamansi flavor! That flavor lingered in my mouth for a while and it was a lovely way to end the day. Overall had a wonderful experience here -- adding it to the list of places i have to come back to Providence for!! I only wish I could eat more desserts at once so I could try everything!!

Ashley E.

Yelp
We got a push pop and a Thai tea ice cream sandwich. Both were so amazing and flavorful. The Thai tea ice cream was some of the best flavored ice cream I've had. Nice service as well!
google avatar

Alexa D.

Yelp
My sister put me onto this place and I'm so glad she did. It's amazing. Such a cute little shop friendly workers. The taste of the ice cream is amazing. I've never tasted anything like it. It's not overly sweet the products are amazing, I crave the fruity pebbles tacos like no tomorrow I always stock up when I go. I'm always so happy I did.
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
Best ice cream sandwiches ever! I had the banana pudding ice cream sandwich (which I believe was a seasonal special) and it was amazing. Staff is really nice, and they have some seating indoors and outdoors for people to enjoy their treats. Have already returned because it was so good :)
google avatar

Jessica O.

Yelp
Tricycle Ice Cream on first glance is unassuming but don't judge an ice cream shop by its storefront. They're their creations are downright magical. You'll be tempted to purchase multiple treats and I encourage you to follow your heart or in this case stomach because everything is delicious. The flavor combinations are well thought out and unique. My family's favorites include the mango push pop and the horchata ice cream sandwich. They have a cute little eating area outdoors around the corner, so if you'd like to sit and enjoy your treat right away, have at it.
google avatar

Jesse L. R.

Yelp
So many choices! And they are all amazing! The best part is that they are hard frozen, so they survived the 30 minute ride home without even starting to melt. I tried the strawberry sandwich and Dave's blind pig coffee sandwich. The strawberry was simple, but good. But the coffee sandwich was where it was at. Chocolate dipped and toffee topped on cocoa cookies. Sooo good! Sadly my picture did not turn out, so you will have to go and get your own to see for yourself! My wife got two different flavors, and they were amazing as well. These guys have the ice cream sandwich thing down... I can't wait to try a taco on the next trip!
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
The absolute best Ice Cream Sandwiches you could ever dream of!! So rich, creamy and flavorful! I chose the Red Velvet Cake Batter Ice Cream with Cream Cheese Frosting Swirl on Chocolate Cookies, Dipped in White Chocolate & Crumb Coated in Red Velvet. and also the Oreo Cookies & Cream Ice Cream on Salted Caramel Drizzled Chocolate Cookies. Hubby had a coffee flavor and strawberry. Soooooo delicious!!!!!!! The best ever!

Yelp
First thing I loved about this place were all the plants and succulents they had along the window sill and entrance. Although it was a bit busy, the staff stopped to offer us their iPad with an electronic version of the menu so we wouldn't need to be breathing down peoples necks to see the menu. It was a kind gesture. Each item on the menu sounded so delicious that it makes it so hard to just pick one (or two). Ultimately we ended up going with ube and horchata. They recommend you give it a few minutes to soften up so for some time, you're just looking at this delicious perfectly wrapped dessert that's calling your name. It's worth it though. Half of the sandwich is extra special as it's dipped and coated, and I really wish the whole sandwich would have that touch. The horchata was exactly how I thought it would be--not overwhelming sweet, cinammony, and hints of vanilla. I very much enjoyed the cookie. It reminded me of the "Lorna Doone" shortbread cookies but just a little bit harder. The ube was a bit underwhelming. Still so good but wish I would've went with something else. I really did enjoy the addition of coconut shavings. The ice cream is super creamy and the color is vibrant. The price of each sandwich isn't too bad considering you're getting about a scoop of ice cream and two cookies with some toppings.
google avatar

Vicky L.

Yelp
This place had amazing reviews and was also recommended by our AirBnb host. I can see why everyone loves this place! The short bread cookie is the best I have had! The ice cream is just the right amount of sweetness. I got the UBE Ice Cream Sandwich $6 with toasted coconut and my friend got the Strawberry Ice Cream Sandwich $5 and they were both really huge sandwiches! Once you walk in there is some seating and you can immediately smell chocolate haha. The person who took our order was so nice and warned that it was gonna be cold and told us to wait a bit before we actually eat it! Great food and service! Wish we tried other flavors as well.

Anna A.

Yelp
Love this place! The people and the ice cream sandwiches. Gil is always there to greet his customers with a smiling face! Flavors are always a hit
google avatar

Caitlin D.

Yelp
Amazing! The space itself is incredibly discreet, you would easily miss it if you weren't searching for it. The inside is small but has seating. The flavors are all very unique and impressive but they still cover the classics like chocolate and peanut butter as well. I got the Thai tea ice cream sandwich and was very impressed with how strong the flavor was and also the quality of the cookies. Would definitely go back next time I'm in town. Personally I was satisfied with one but I'm sure you could get two and not feel overwhelmed if you wanted to try multiple flavors.
google avatar

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp with stellar reviews so I had to stop by while in town. Not many places are like this ice cream shop! They specialize in ice cream sandwiches of unique, gourmet and artisanal flavors, which drew me in. The sandwich crusts are unique flavors that are matched so perfectly well. There were lots of options on the menu and the staff was friendly to help narrow things down. What we got: The Thai ice tea sandwich was very flavorful and went so well with the toasted coconut sandwich. My husband got the callebaut chocolate ice cream taco, which is a much fancier and fatter version of the classic Klondike Chocotaco that sadly got discontinued. It too, did not disappoint if you're a fan of the classic. Everything was neatly wrapped or boxed and made with care. They are extra frozen, so you just need to be patient and let it thaw out for a few minutes. I was sad at how far it is from where I live and that I couldn't buy more of them to take home with me in CT. It's a shame that there isn't a store like this that seems to be around. Pros: Lots of delicious flavors to choose from, so many unique flavors that were proven to be delicious and drool-worthy! Cons: It's a bit pricy for ice cream and it was street parking.

Yelp
RUN to this place. It is SO good. The aesthetic reminded me of a cool ice cream shop set up in Brooklyn. The flavors they have looked so delicious. I had the strawberry sandwich and it tasted like the freshest strawberry treat. The service was great too. They answered all of our questions and were really kind.
google avatar

Rei M.

Yelp
It's difficult to add to all the reviews people have already left here, so I'll keep it brief. Delicious homemade ice cream on awesome homemade cookies (sometimes cake). They have a bunch of flavor options daily with limited edition flavors made available every few weeks. I've tried nearly all of their standard flavors, and I've enjoyed every single one (and that's especially impressive considering I'm generally not much of a dessert/sweets person). Highly recommend to anyone who likes ice cream sandwiches. Just be sure to let it thaw for a little while so it's more enjoyable/easier to bite into!
google avatar

Stephanie T.

Yelp
I went back here and had the Caramelized Fruity Pebble Ice Cream. It reminded me of being a kid and eating fruity pebbles but with ice cream. It was so delicious!!! Can't wait to try others!
google avatar

Yelp
Tricycle Ice Cream in Providence is an inventive ice cream shop serving structurally sound craft ice cream sandwiches and ice cream tacos. We ordered the horchata ice cream sandwich served in between vanilla cookies and topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch as well as the caramelized fruity pebble taco dipped in white chocolate. They came super frozen and perfectly together which makes for a relatively clean eating experience. After a few agonizing minutes waiting for them to thaw them out enough to eat we savored these special treats. The ice cream tacos are particularly nostalgic as they lean into the concept of the Coco taco from ice cream trucks of our youth (RIP Choco Taco). A fantastic place to enjoy some uniquely delicious treats

Morgan S.

Yelp
Fast and so yummy!! Such unique flavors!! We got the mint taco and fruity pebble sandwich. Taco was super minty!!
google avatar

Yelp
There are "usual" and offbeat flavors and combinations, from the plain to the gilded. The service was exceptionally good - friendly, warm, helpful, and engaging. And, unlike our other outing this weekend, their menu actually matched their webs! We thought about our choices ahead of time, and were able to get the items we planned to get. We got a compost cream sandwich, a red velvet sandwich, a peanut butter taco, and a banana pudding sandwich. We tried half of these so far, and they were amazing. They are constructed and packaged really well. I love the fact that they are dipped and rolled in more goodies. The treats are excellent (and due to being frozen so solidly, they survived half an hour in a cooler on the way home without a problem), and the staff made it even sweeter. We are glad we picked this for our anniversary dessert and can't wait to try the last 2 items tonight!

Yelp
An ice-cream aficionado, Tricycle Ice Cream has been on my to-go list for several months. It was so good that I went twice... in one week. I tried the following: Callebaut chocolate ice cream on salty pretzel cookies: 5/5. It's pretty rare to find stores using Callebaut in the US, but the chocolate is always great and it truly shone in this ice cream. Chocolate pretzels are a personal vice so really enjoyed this combo. Kyoto matcha with vanilla orange shortbread cookies: 5/5. Matcha desserts are one of my frequent go-tos, and the bitter matcha paired well with the sweet orange cookie. Chocolate dipped and toffee topped dave's blind pig coffee ice cream on cocoa cookies: 4/5. There was a lot of texture going on between the coffee ice cream and the toffee topping, but I felt it was overall too sweet. I split this one with someone else and probably wouldn't have been able to eat an entire one myself, but enjoyed the few bites I did have. Can't wait to try more flavors!

Yelp
SO. DANG. GOOD. My childhood dreams come true. You know those strawberry ice cream bars you used to eat? They were covered in strawberry crumbles? Ok, well they have a drumstick style ice cream cone with strawberry ice cream, white chocolate filled cone, rolled in those delicious strawberry crumbles. Sweetest staff, sweetest treats. 10/10.

Yelp
Folks!!! I came across this place while strolling around the backroads of Federal Hill and you have got to try it. It was perfect for a day in the high 80's. Tricycle Ice Cream is relatively new to the area and they specialize in pre-made ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream tacos. A few tips: 1) You have to try the Callebaut Ice Cream Sandwich. This was easily the best one: Chocolate ice cream on salted pretzel cookies. Perfect for a hot day. 2) You might want to wait a few minutes before biting into a sandwich. They come very frozen and definitely taste better when they're a little melty. 3) Be prepared for the mess. Embrace the mess. Eating ice cream with your fingers WILL be messy - but totally worth it. 4) I told the guy at the counter that this was my first time here and I was deciding between the Callebaut and the Chocolate Oreo - he was so nice to give me both a no charge - love love love the service. Absolutely a must try. Get some ice cream from here and take a stroll down Dexter Park. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Ice ice baby! Yes, I'm that gal who'll go out on any icy night to get ice cream! Call me crazy but the cravings are real! As I walked in, I was greeted by a young gentleman welcoming me to the ice cream shop with a smile. He was so nice to talk to me about the unique flavors and how they change flavors pending on his creativity! What a fun job! So I finally made a decision and bought 2 flavors. A mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwich and a fruity pebbles taco! As he handed me both ice creams, I noticed it was EXTREMELY brick cold. He told me to let the ice cream sit out for a couple minutes when I got home so the ice cream would soften and to enjoy the treat. Well worth the wait as I indulged first in the mint chocolate chip sandwich. It tasted like a mint Andes' candy. Soooo good and spot on with the mint flavor! I then took a bite of the fruity pebbles taco. Wow! Like wow wee wow! Super colorful and the best part, the flavor explosion of the fruity pebbles cereal! This place understood the ice cream assignment LOL! I can't wait until it gets warmer so I don't have to avoid slipping on black ice for a sweet treat!
