Trident Coffee Coronado is very awesome! My coffee was delicious! The staff were very nice! Without doubt I strongly recommend them! Have a great day!❤️🔱☕️😃

Google
Randomly went into this hidden gem while visiting the island. Said I was looking for cold brew and Adrian recommended one incredibly delicious that ruined other cold brews for me. It was so smooth and had such good flavor right out of the tap. Don't know the name but it was a dark version. Wish I had access to this place where I live.

Google
Trident Coffee on Coronado Island is a solid 4-star spot. The coffee was great, and the service stood out—friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for a relaxed, quality caffeine fix.

Google
Trident Coffee in Coronado is a hidden gem! The customer service here is top-notch—everyone is super friendly and welcoming. You can tell they really care about their customers. The coffee is excellent—smooth, strong, and full of flavor. I tried one of their protein donuts too, and wow… absolutely delicious! It’s the perfect spot to grab a quality brew and a healthy treat. Whether you're a local or just visiting, definitely check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!

Google
Was visiting Coronado with my family and tried this place out. Lots of cold brew options and then cold brew with their spin on it. First the person who helped us out was so helpful and patient. We were a large party and it was busy already. I never felt rushed but things moved along nicely. He had suggested horchata latte with the cinnamon / vanilla cold foam. It was delicious. I usually drink lattes so I appreciated trying something a little different. My boyfriend got a drink he didn’t end up liking, personal preference thing, and they were so nice about it and offered to make a drink of his choice. We would return and recommend this place. My only wish: I would love if the menu was more visible while in line. It’s a small place so maybe not feasible but there’s so many cool options but I didn’t get to see it til the last min so I ended up asking for a recommendation (which fortunately worked out) 🙂

Google
One of my fave coffee spots in San Diego! The coffee's delicious, the people are awesome, and the vibe's great. Plus, they have tons of organic coffee and cold brew.

Google
6/5 Stars! Came in right after opening and the girl working was so sweet & very knowledgeable about their products. The baked goods (donut looking things) were mostly gluten free & they tasted absolutely amazing! Coffee drinks were great as well. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Coronado!

Google
Wow! The selection of Cold brews is amazing and so tasty! This place is so fun and so cute and the theme and merch are great! Paige F was so helpful and informative!! Definitely will be back!

Yelp
LOVE THIS COFFEE SHOP!!! I don't frequent Coronado often but when I do, it's a mandatory to stop to get some of my favorite liquid gold. I love how eclectic their menu is, from their choices in the glass window with donuts and pastries *savory or sweet*, to their caffeine selection. Honorable mention the honey lavender latte, never disappoints! (Bring back the golden milk latte!!! Please) Today, I found myself in Coronado reffing a USA water polo tournament and I intentionally made time to stop in for some sustenance to quench my palette. Trident gives the perfect ambiance of local beach town meets coffee shop. I love the detail and the assorted merchandise right when you walk in. They also have a fridge with their cold brew in a can. Easy for travel purposes. Xavier warmly greeted me and let me boast about how excited I was to be there. It's always so comforting to have a barista feed your hype moment. LOVE YOU FOR THAT!! He made a delicious beverage that was so gratifying to walk back on deck with. Even without my favorite drink on the menu, I still come back for the service and wonderful caffeine to push me through my day. As a lover of the sea, this mermaid will always hold her trident high. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
My friend wanted to go for a birthday run in Coronado. I wanted coffee right after the run which was something I looked forward to as I pushed myself to finish the run LOL. I found this shop with a variety of cold brew options which also included nitro cold brews on the tap! As a coffee drinker, I definitely had to check it out. The location that we went to is located next to some local shops on Orange Ave in "downtown" Coronado. There's a lot of free street parking around the area but could get very hectic and almost impossible to find during holiday season, dinner hours, and weekends. My boyfriend and I wanted to try their cold brew flight, however, they only had 2 sets for the flights which was already taken by another couple. Whaaat sad. Instead, I got their New Orleans Cold Foam, one of the cold brews, annnnd it was kind of sour. It was kind of confusing, giving sweetish taste but with the sourness kept overcoming the coffee bitterness that I was looking for. I personally don't like sour cold brews but that's my own preference. Some people might enjoy them sour, but I don't think they should be sour... However, my friend and boyfriend both liked it though. My boyfriend got their Mexican Mocha, not sweet at all surprisingly! It was quite good, and the aesthetics of the drink were beautiful! Definitely a lot better than the one I got. I was bummed that I couldn't try their cold brew flight but after trying the New Orleans Cold Foam, I was a bit glad that we didn't. Maybe it was a one off day where their cold brew was steeping too long... I definitely will give it another go in the future to try their flight in the future though.

Yelp
I got the trident cold brew with oat milk and my bf got the turmeric latte with oat milk. Usually i am a fan of sweeter milky coffee drinks but i was pleasantly surprised with my cold brew drink! It was very smooth and didn't taste bitter at all. Normally I add sweetness to my drinks but the cold brew was super refreshing on its own without any sweetness. The turmeric latte was sweet and had a cinnamon taste and my bf loved it as well. Would love to come back the next time I am visiting Coronado!!

Yelp
I'm a cold brew kind of guy. Trident is a big W for me because they offer several varieties of cold brew, fancied up versions with added flavors and sweeteners and even cold brew flights. Swoooooon. Quaint little shop right in the thick of it on Orange Ave in Coronado. Close to the beach, tons of people watching and very walkable. Clean establishment and friendly service.

Yelp
Fast cute little coffee shop. I tried my first Nitro Brew. The flavor was good. The coffee was very strong. If you want a picker upper definitely the right coffee to get. Fast friendly service. Coffee very delicious

Yelp
Needed an afternoon pick-me-up after a day of traveling and adventure. After reading the yelp reviews, I decided this would be the perfect spot! I had a really delicious iced latte. Really, the best ever. The coffee was super rich tasting and not an ounce of bitterness. When I ordered, the gal asked me if whole milk was ok. I mean, is there any other choice?? I sat outside on the sidewalk table and enjoyed my coffee while watching beach life happen before my eyes!
google avatar

Sally K.

Yelp
Such a cute little space! Claire was so genuine and engaging. She helped me decide on which cold brew to get and if did not disappoint! I tried the coconut protein donut too which I'll be dreaming about for the foreseeable future! Ha Great service and great products too
google avatar

Yelp
quick service, yummy matcha protein donut and my vietnamese coffee was decent. i know this is not traditional vietnamese so this only comes with 2 shots and more of an iced latte. next time I would get something else. my boyfriends nitro was kind of light (taste wise and looks wise) and it was the one they recommended too. still gonna give them 5 stars because I think this is the only solid coffee choice in Coronado and if I were in the area I would come back to try something different.
google avatar

Cheryl L.

Yelp
Service was good. Small but busy place. More of a local, specialty coffee shop. Ordered the Horchata Latte. It has orange flavor. More of a pick up and go coffee place but they do have 2 tables and a couple of seats. Music playing inside was eclectic. Sells merchandise. Not sure if there was a bathroom there. Next time, they have specialty coffee with protein and other unique drinks.

Yelp
Love supporting local vets spots so stopped by on Father's Day for a nitro flight. Yummmmm!! The Trident and Calm under Pressure were the favorites, nice to have the option to bring a 6-pack home. The staff is super sweet too!
google avatar

Yelp
I love to see a coffee shop that has both the classics and an extensive specialty coffee menu. I visited on a cold and gloomy day so I went with a classic- The London fog. I really wanted to try ALL of the speciality cold brew drinks because they all sounded delicious. I'll certainly be back to try more of their offerings. I went with the 16 oz London fog which had 2 tea bags in it although I feel it could have used 3 because it tasted a little watered down. Inside is small with a few seating options but the decor is super vibey. Customer service was excellent, super friendly and helpful. Thanks page.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee shop. We stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon. The cafe is small and cozy. There's about two tables inside and one table outside if you want to enjoy the outside air. The menu is straightforward with their specialty cold brews and other drinks. We went for the cold brew flight. The staff gave us a few recommendations and we also picked our own. We got $1 off our flight from the Yelp Check-In. The flight came out in less than 5 minutes and it's actually a good amount of cold brew! We really enjoyed sampling each flavor. Our favorite is the dark roast cold brew. Overall great experience at Trident. Staff was very personable and gave us great recommendations. The cold brew flight is a must and it's very reasonably priced!

Yelp
Super cool spot in Coronado. Had the son of a son of a sailor nitro cold brew and coffee cake gf protein donut. Solid combo since the nitro had a cinnamon flavor too.

Alexus C.

Yelp
Everyone here was so wonderful and friendly! My husband and I stopped by to try it out during our time in Coronado, and it was 100% worth it. Being pregnant I can only have a certain amount of caffeine and they completely customized my drink so I could enjoy a version of their salted caramel mocha drink (it was delicious). Another customer had grabbed & opened my drink thinking it was theirs, but everyone working there just kindly remade my drink for me. Definitely recommend taking the time to go by this cute little coffee shop!
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop right on the main road. I got the matcha latte which, according to the menu, is ceremonial grade. I thought the matcha could have been sifted a little bit bigger as there were some clumps at the bottom, however, it's definitely better than your average matcha latte from any random coffee shop.
google avatar

Yelp
We were walking down Orange Ave in Coronado and I needed caffeine. I had heard Trident is veteran owned and we will always support small businesses especially veteran owned. We stopped by Trident and it was packed! Now, the service was SO friendly and welcoming and while it was busy they were getting everyone's orders out quickly. They have a lot of options and it was hard to choose. With new spots I generally use a caramel latte as my baseline. The prices are on par and my caramel latte was full of flavor and great! I would definitely stop back in when in Coronado!

Yelp
What a lovely coffee shop in Coronado it was a friendly place and I had the honey lavendar cold brew while my cousin had the midnight Vietnamese coffee c we also enjoyed the apple muffin and empanada and calzone they have keto items :) kodi, Paige L, Anna are friendly :)
google avatar

Amir Y.

Yelp
Bad. Like real bad. Like can't finish the drink cuz it was so bad. This place is sooooo overrated. There was so much hype and it was so disappointing. Coffee was bitter, lattes had no flavor, the waits were super long, despite not being terribly crowded. The place is nice and service was warm, but it's really hard to get over how bad the coffee was.
google avatar

Trees D.

Yelp
The customer service was outstanding--friendly, welcoming, and full of great recommendations. We tried the seasonal macadamia nut drink, and it was an absolute 10/10. It struck the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. We also had the lemon lavender donut, which was equally impressive. Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet--it paired beautifully with the drink. Both seasonal items were a real treat!

Yelp
I think I'm an anomaly... I really wanted to like this place because of the stellar reviews on here but I was unfortunately disappointed. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place on our walk around Coronado. The interior has a cute octopus (?) design; very cool and unique. The barista was also extremely nice as well! As for the drinks, we got the salted caramel mocha latte and the new orleans cold foam. The salted caramel mocha had an abundance of mocha syrup on the sides, whipped cream, and extra sauce on top. It was too creamy & too sweet that it masked the flavor of the coffee. The New Orleans was good on first sip, but also was too sweet as well, masking the coffee. You might be able to adjust sweetness but we weren't given the option so I'm not sure! The weird thing was that we both had a weird protein-y aftertaste? Had me wondering if they were protein lattes considering they had other protein desserts in store (not to mention I think it was around $14 for two 12 oz drinks). Either way, it's worth a try if you're around the area but I personally wouldn't be going out of my way for the drinks :(

Yelp
Just love this place. Not just for its cool ascetics, but the amazing coffee. The other places that charge you the same for just regular coffee with a side of a ton of sugar. This place offers you awesome additional ingredients- I attached the menu :) The staff is so kind and knowledgeable. I only go here for my coffee or tea when I visit ;) don't sleep on this place, I promise you'll love it!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice local coffee shop. Great service and good coffees. Tried the Mexican Mocha and it was delicious
google avatar

Richie F.

Yelp
Fantastic cold brew and fun healthy donuts. They aren't as good as regular donuts but they are high in protein...more a keto pastry than a donut really....I love that they are packed with protein! The nitro flights here are super amazing though and I'll keep coming back for these! The merch is fun and the service is friendly. I wish the sugar free syrups were tastier but I'm glad they at least have the option
google avatar

Rocky R.

Yelp
This review is for the brand-new PB location on Mission Blvd. ( across the street from Breakfast Republic) Hope we for three weeks their specialty is Cold brews, and let's say you'll have multiple options. I'm a coffee purist, so we went with the Doppio espresso and the drip ( dark roast ). Both were lovely, and I like the coffee caps and how they feel. The treats are fantastic, no sugar, keto-friendly, and I was surprised the blueberry crum Le had 20 grams of protein. Right on! We were welcomed by excellent staff, Andre and Lauren, who will help you navigate your cold Brew journey. We're coming back to try a flight.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute but tiny coffee shop with a few outdoor tables. My friend and I both got functional mushroom lattes and they were delicious!! We also tried the banana bread that was fabulous. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Cory I.

Yelp
The cold brew here is amazing! We did a flight of 4 and found the Trident to be the best. Empanadas were delicious and the almond chocolate croissant was nice and flaky Definitely a must for coffee lovers.

Yelp
What the heck -- 5 stars! I didn't expect much from a small coffee spot on Coronado, but the nitro cold brew at Trident Coffee blew away all my cynicism with one sip. The brew is unbelievably smooth, leaving no trace of that sour tang you sometimes get with other coffees. It's the kind of drink you keep sipping even when it's near empty, hoping more magically appears. The interior is tiny but endearing, offering just enough seating for a quick chat or a moment on your laptop. Sure, the price sits above average, but that feels like a fair trade when you factor in the best nitro cold brew I've ever tasted I went for the straightforward Trident Cold Brew, which tasted crisp and fresh, with a texture that felt more like silky foam than liquid. My girlfriend tried their horchata latte specialty cold brew, where cinnamon sweetness seamlessly folded into the coffee. It's not just a caffeine fix -- it's a subtle nod to what expertly crafted beverages can achieve. Trident Coffee feels like the spot you stumble into once, then find yourself craving at odd hours just to recapture that first sip

Katie B.

Yelp
I love Trident. They have great flavors to choose from. They have amazing beef empanadas. It's got a cool vibe and the staff is so friendly every time.

Sydney P.

Yelp
Paige F was super helpful on assisting us with the perfect coffee choices. Very sweet team and the coffee way delicious!
google avatar

Kellie S.

Yelp
The coffee is amazing! The best gluten free breakfast burrito and donuts I've ever had (and I've tried them all). Trident Coffee knocks it out of the park!
google avatar

Panchita L.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick caffeine boost and was excited to see that this place specialized in cold brews. The interior was very clean, the vibes were comfy, and the customer service was very polite and friendly. I ordered a blackberry cobbler latte and it was delicious! It was refreshing and not overly sweet. I saw they also had protein donuts which looked intriguing - give this place a try!

Peter S.

Yelp
Got the salted caramel mocha latte, tasted like Splenda mixed with water. Maybe I just got the wrong drink but I don't recommend it.

Nico D.

Yelp
First time in and Paige L was awesome! The salted Carmel one is to die for!! If you come please try to come in and sit down because the vibe is amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Best old timer coffee in Coronado I have tried them all and this coffee shop has the old timer personally I love
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
This is a small but cute place along the strip in Coronado. There's a few seats outside the place and the inside has a ton of promotions, swag, and other community events. I came here looking for something a lil different and funky with my coffee order rather than getting something more traditional and known. This place is definitely good for an unique taste. I think that's the best part of it! There's plenty to choose from that will shock your taste buds! I went with the cognitive mushrooms coffee with coconut milk. The service was quick. There were about 3 people ahead of me. I was with coffee in about 7ish minutes. And the people were friendly. Why it was a 3 star? Because while the coffee tasted unique, I didn't really feel a good sustained boost of energy. So if you're looking for something to last you a good 5+ hours maybe add a shot to yours
google avatar

Alison M.

Yelp
We tried a coffee cake protein donut and my husband wasn't a fan - I thought it was good and a unique concept. Loved the look and feel of the shop - small but cute with some nice swag and great coffee menu. Friendly gals inside and a few seats as well as outdoor tables.
google avatar

Why-Tie Z.

Yelp
Had the iced vietnamnese speciality coffee with charcoal. It was weak and alright. Given the price I would order it again.
google avatar

Matthew B.

Yelp
The location is near the beach, making it a great spot to grab a coffee and go. The prices are on the higher end, but understandable given today's economy. I decided to try Trident Coffee since it had excellent reviews and I was nearby. The service was helpful and friendly. There are a couple of seats both inside and outside. I ordered the New Orleans Cold Brew and it was not bad. However, the cold foam overpowered the cold brew. I believe this drink would be enjoyable for anyone with a sweet tooth. I plan to come back and try a regular cold brew without any additions. The cold brew itself is smooth, somewhat acidic, and not bitter at all.
google avatar

Neha J.

Yelp
I'm not a huge fan of cold brew, but the coffee here was pretty decent. Really friendly staff and a wide variety of cold brew based drinks.
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Ana gave amazing and welcoming service. Her product knowledge and beverage recommendation was perfect! I look forward to coming back.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
This coffee is soo good! Also the protein donuts are such an amazing offering. I'm always looking for a yummy treat that isn't going to ruin my macros for the day. These are delicious. I also loved their unique cold brew offerings. The blackberry cobbler cold foam was super yummy. Hannah and Jessica were super patient with all of my questions, even offering the macros on the donuts! It was such a great experience! I don't live on Coronado but I would drive the 45 mins back for this coffee and a protein donut!
google avatar

Arjun K.

Yelp
The flight of cold brews i had was amazing. My favorite was the son of a sailor followed by damn the torpedos. Cool sea theme too.
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
You had me at gluten-free donuts and functional coffee beverages. One of IB's best comes to PB. Excellent new addition to the neighborhood, a block from the beach and right on the corner of the same block the Vans store is on. Enough seating for a morning coffee or lunch break. May get crowded during prime time on a summer weekend. Clean, welcoming, and overall just awesome.

Cynthia R.

Yelp
This coffee shop is the real deal from this coffee lover. I love to check out coffee shops everywhere and this was one of the best coffees I gave had in a long time. The baristas were knowledgeable and answered questions and the place is small but cute. With coffee like this even if it was a cave it would be worth the trip. If you are a coffee lover I highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Isabelle W.

Yelp
Just went to the new location in Pacific Beach and it did not disappoint! They have a variety of cold brew and coffee options and put a healthy twist on classic drinks. I got the Mexican mocha. It was very good but definitely very chocolatey/milkey. So if you aren't in the mood for a dessert drink I would opt for something else! However as a sweets lover, I thought it was great. We also tried the keto churro donut. The donut itself was pretty bland but the sugar on top helped. It is a great option if you are looking for a healthier donut, but personally I would probably just go for the real thing if I was in the mood for a donut again! The new location is also right by the beach so it's the perfect pit stop on your next morning walk:)

Mark L.

Yelp
Simply outstanding in every way from service to food to the amazing cold brew coffee. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Monty D.

Yelp
As you can see from my store front pic and 2 inside pics, this is a small, quaint coffee and baked goods shop. As you'd expect from the name, there was a thread of a nautical theme. But what sets them apart from the other quaint places is their coffee. I can taste why they won recognition, see pic. Staff was very helpful into my venturing of cold brew coffee (I'm really a cup-of-joe type of guy.). As you can see from my pic, I paired a light roast Nitro Cold Brew with a protein donut - this was an excellent combination! The cold coffee on this summer day hit the cool spot. It was refreshing, still had some robustness for a hot day, a wee bit of a bite to let you know it's there and smooth as it went down. I haven't had a protein donut before. It had some heft to the cake without being doughy or dense. I'm a mixer; the donut flavor was mild but was enhanced with a slurp of coffee flavor. This donut was made for dunking. (I know I'll be judged by connoisseurs, but it was quite a good combination.). I'd gladly do this again and come back. (I'll make an exception here, but I'm still a cup-of-joe guy elsewhere.)

James B.

Yelp
Adrian enables my friends to get extra strong coffees, he is a MENACE to society :))

Yelp
Just opened a month ago and I'm a big fan of their nitros!! They also have espressos and teas, so if nitros aren't your fancy you have options. Love the son of a son of a sailor. Will take some beans some to try, and a bag as a gift for my coffee connoisseur brother.
