Detroit Best Fat Tuesday Paczki: Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Other Paczki Flavors | Eater Detroit

"Warren’s Italian bake shop is best known for its cannoli cream-filled twist on traditional paczki, but flavors like raspberry, apple, lemon, and chocolate custard can be found here as well. This month, the bake shop also features a paczek filled with cappuccino cream. Pick up the traditional varieties as singles or grab a dozen. They’re available throughout the month of February in the lead-up to Fat Tuesday." - Courtney Burk

This place was amazing. Looking forward to going back. The items were clearly made fresh. They were not overly sweet and it was great to see real Italian deserts. The mini cannolis were great. They have an amazing selection of sweets and breads. They also have a freezer of stuffed pastas, sauces, homemade bread crumbs, and other pastas. All the pricing was great and reasonable. I am cheap and did not see anything priced that I would not buy. Check them out but arrive early before they sell out.

My family has been going to Tringali’s for over 50 years and have always had a great experience. The quality is unmatched and the counter staff are always friendly and willing to answer any questions. The paczki this year were amazing and worth every penny. The bear claws are also a must try! You will not be disappointed.

Been a personal favorite for over 30 years. Hands down, my favorite cannoli and edise. Their breads are wonderful and they make 3 foot sub buns...perfect to take home and make your own party sub for Super Bowl. I can't offer more praise on their selection of sweets...so much to try!!! I've always received service with a smile. They are quite busy especially during the holidays and weekend mornings. Have a little patience and the rewards are great!

I decided to stop in when I had to pull over during torrential downpour. I'm so glad I did! I got 3 vanilla and 3 chocolate cupcakes. I also got some day-old rolls and an apple fritter for the road. By far, hands down, THE BEST we have ever had! Definitely going back!!

This bakery has been around a very long time. The first time I visited this bakery was probably in the 1980s. They claim to have Detroit's. Best, cannolis. They have an amazing array of cookies and cakes and pies and cannolis and eclairs. All sorts of tasty things. Think small. Family-owned bakery with a huge selection. Note that I usually get the cannolis but I've never had anything here. I have not loved.

Every area I end up in I am always on the look out for good Cannolis. While visiting another Mitchell Plastics Plant I learned of Tringali's Bakery in Detroit. Their building advertises as the Best Cannoli in Detroit. They offer a decent selection of Italian and American bakery items, bread, and cakes. I tried their Cannoli and I unfortunately was not overly impressed. It does have the ricotta in it but the flavors of the filling are overwhelming covered with the almonds on top and in the cream, as well as it had a soft shell instead a nice crisp shell. I give it a 4/10. I also tried their Edise which is a pastry puff filled with cannoli cream, deep fried, and sprinkled with powered sugar. This reminded me of some the breads from Japanes bakeries very light and fluffy with a cruchy exterior and the cannoli cream in it was good. I'd recommend these over their traditional Cannoli any day, best served slightly chilled. 8.5/10

First time customer, we deal in food service. I was told Tringali’s Bakery makes good sub bun. We go through on a slow day under 100 sub sandwiches, on a good day 200+ subs only! Not counting other deli sandwiches we received the worst made subs! It’s like they don’t care or don’t want new customers, first n last for me.
