Diverse food, retail, events, and skyline views

"Trinity Groves has been on the struggle bus throughout the pandemic. Its mission statement of collecting new restaurant concepts in an incubator seems to have stalled out. But, the new direction featuring numerous outdoor bars with extensive lawn seating, games, and TVs to watch those games seems to be going swimmingly. Beto & Sons keeps expanding and is still one of the best spots for Mexican in Dallas. A few new vendors have opened up as spring comes on, and it is jockeying to become one of the places to see and be seen in South Dallas again." - Courtney E. Smith

"Food, fun, and entrepreneurship come together at this 15-acre hub at the base of west Dallas’ Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. The complex was designed as an incubator to nurture and support startups in the worlds of dining, art, entertainment, and retail, allowing emerging businesses to connect with each other and the community. As a result, tenants may come and go, but you’re always sure to find a diverse selection of wares and eats; recent restaurants, for example, have spotlit sushi, kebabs, “next gen” Mexican, and vegan dishes, while shops have peddled handmade chocolates, Korean snow cones, Southern-style cakes, and works by emerging painters. Most of the spots have indoor seating, but it’s more fun to grab some favorites and sit out on the patio, looking out on the city skyline. Be sure to check the site for info on upcoming events like live music, trivia nights at the brewery, “pizza on the patio” evenings and more."

"A Trinity Groves steakhouse helmed by chef James Rose that closed on July 31. Opened in 2016 under the guidance of Bob Sambol of Bob’s Steak and Chop House, it blended pub-style fare like burgers and onion rings with high-end steaks; in a Facebook post the chef and staff thanked customers for their support over the years." - Amy McCarthy

"A West Dallas dining development whose restaurants reopened under the 25% occupancy cap; although multiple dining rooms were operating, overall attendance was subdued as diners approached reopening cautiously." - Amy McCarthy
