Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trios in Palm Springs on a late June evening, drawn by the positive reviews on Yelp. After a swift check-in at our hotel, my companions and I wasted no time and headed straight to Trios for dinner. Arriving at around 5 p.m., we found the restaurant relatively quiet, which was a pleasant surprise.
From the moment we walked in, the staff's warmth and efficiency stood out. We were promptly seated, and our drink orders were taken swiftly, recognizing our eager anticipation. With our appetites in mind, we placed our orders, and within about 15 minutes, our starters were before us.
The appetizers we chose were the Bay Scallop Ceviche, which I'd rate at (4.3/5) for its delightful freshness, the Coachella Valley Dates wrapped in bacon that balanced sweetness and savory notes beautifully (4.2/5), and the classic Wedge Salad (4/5). The flavors were inviting and set the tone for the main course.
For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Shrimp Spaghetti (4/5), Alfredo Wild Mushroom Fettuccine with Chicken (4.2/5), USDA Prime Coulotte Steak Frites (4/5), Sweet potato fries (4/5) and the Prime Rib (3.9/5). Each dish was well-prepared, showcasing a range of flavors and textures that satisfied our tastebuds.
Throughout the meal, the staff maintained a delightful level of personable attentiveness, ensuring our dining experience remained enjoyable. Notably, both the restaurant and restrooms were very clean and well-maintained, contributing to the overall pleasant ambiance.
I've heard murmurs about a reasonably priced prix-fixe menu available between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., offering a starter, entree, and dessert. Although I didn't have the chance to try it this time, I'm intrigued by the idea and will likely explore it on a return visit. For those interested, I recommend inquiring with your server about this special offering.
Parking was convenient, with options available along the street and in the restaurant's compact private lot situated behind the establishment.
In conclusion, my experience at Trios was a memorable one, highlighted by a diverse menu, attentive staff, and an overall inviting atmosphere. This is an excellent choice for those seeking casual American dining that doesn't compromise on quality, all at a family-friendly price point. With plans to revisit and explore more of the menu offerings, I wholeheartedly recommend Trios to fellow food enthusiasts and visitors to Palm Springs alike.
