Google
Amazing food! Highly recommend the gumbo. Although everything my group ordered received rave reviews by the individual consumer. Also, the sweet tea tasted like any proper southern tea. Hit the spot both for the nostalgia and taste. We also had fun playing the games while waiting for our food.

Google
I was looking for a new place to eat locally for my niece's birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised when we came here. The menu is unique, the food is wonderful, the staff is kind and considerate. The setting is uplifting, there's positive messages, beautiful cultural artwork, and some games you can play while you wait or to keep the children entertained. I'm grateful to the staff for creating a positive dining experience. Definitely recommend visiting!

Google
Food was delicious, and the owner was so lovely and generous. We had the chicken, collards, cabbage, mac n cheese, and fried pickles. All excellent.

Google
We stopped in to order food to go off of previous reviews and we will certainly be back. The baked chicken plate, side of sweet potatoes and cabbage was seriously amazing. Along with that we got some of the best cornbread we’ve ever eaten. The owners/employees were so nice and generous. If you are in the valley and haven’t tried this place you are missing out!

Google
Thank God i stopped to eat here. They got the best fried chicken, and I mean the BEST FRIED CHICKEN i have ever eaten in my whole life. Collard Greans also was absolutely amazing. Staff was awsome as well and very kind. Definitely will be coming back here.

Google
I got the cat fish soul food platter. Let me tell you. This is AMAZING, flavorful, Mac & cheese is perfect. The greens are top notch. This place is top tier when it comes to soul food In the valley. Make sure your pockets are ready, because you will be SATISFIED & have food for later.

I came with a large group, and, unfortunately, there was a miscommunication on our reservation date. The food was brought out in a random order without names associated with them. A couple people in our group never got their meals. However, the staff was very courteous and brought us a few free items. I wish them success and hope they improve their organization in the future.

This place is so good! We got the fried pork chop plate and catfish plate. Mac and cheese and fries as sides. Very helpful service! Great vibes inside in the dining area! Check them out!

Yelp
A new place in the Valley, good home cooked food. Definitely taste a southern style. We had catfish basket and meatloaf both were very good. I especially enjoyed the red beans and rice. Nice to have a little more variety in the Valley.

Yelp
Great soul flavor not bland at all! Takes some time but the dining room is big with lots to do or watch. My picky kids love it. Thanks for sticking around. I know it isn't easy!

Yelp
Food was good! The Mac and Cheese was so so good!!!! The fried chicken was very flavorful. The right amount of crispy and juicy/tender chicken. I love potato salad and they have food potato salad. The service was prob the worst service. The girl who took our order was less than friendly. Had to take out her ear pods to take our order. There are tables to eat at. It is 100% self service. You have to find the flatware and napkins, any sauces. Do not expect any service here. Prob better as a takeout place. I read the owners story and it's a great story and the food fully represents her vision. I'm sure she has no idea of the front help. I'd eat here again, but it would be to go for sure. I'm giving it a higher rating because the food is good.

Yelp
Wonderful family owned place, great service and awesome chili. Great place to spend a snowy afternoon.

Yelp
The food was just like grandmas food in Louisiana! 4 stars for the food minus a star for the ambiance even though I had take out. I had yummy catfish, mac and cheese and bacon collard greens! The ambiance, is not good. White walls, cafeteria tables and chairs and fluorescent lighting. The restaurant was so cold that I waited outside in the truck.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the meatloaf! This is first visit and I will certainly be going back. The Meatloaf was juicy and flavorful! Better than my mothers! I didn't even need the sauce on top. My wife absolutely distains meatloaf, but even she found it worth eating!. Great job!

Yelp
We just had the smoked, stuffed turkey leg special and it was amazing! The turkey is literally fall-off-the-bone tender and is surrounded with whatever sides you choose. The flavor profile is distinctly southern Soulfood, with Triple A's master chef, Stu, turning out daily specials alongside such classics as fried chicken and beignets, catfish, and meatloaf. And if you're looking for spectacular collard greens, this is the place. We've been coming here on a regular basis for a couple of months now, and have always been pleased! The place is family owned and operated, and the service is polite and professional. We'll be back. Again and again.

Yelp
This place is sort of tucked away but definitely worth checking out. It's not located in the main areas of Wasilla and it's not a food truck. It's a coffee hut type structure that has drive up windows and a cute little outdoor picnic area. The service is awesome! They are very friendly and the food portions are massive! I ordered my food at the window and was directed to drive around and park. They brought the food out to me and it's a huge to go foil pan of food! The food was really good and super filling. I ordered the stuffed turkey leg with Mac and cheese and collard greens. There was soooo much food for $30. I brought it home and shared the plethora of goodness. The Mac & cheese and collard greens stuffed the turkey legs and individually each of the items were tasty on its own. Thursdays is the stuffed turkey special but I am eager to try the other specials offered on others days for sure.

Yelp
I have ordered every week since I first tried their food 3 weeks ago. I had their Cajun boil & I am obsessed with their turkey leg! I also love the way they make their candied yams. Best candied yams I've had in Alaska so far! I want to try their fried okra next time too. My family is also now hooked on this place.

Yelp
Chicken, Beans, and greens were so good! Great place to satisfy a taste for some soul food. Service was great too!

Yelp
I was working up in Wasilla for a week (don't wanna talk about it) and I discovered this spot from a coworker, who saw their post on social media. Although not *technically* a BBQ truck, they are close. They have one thing every day and when they runout, that's it! On the day I ordered it was "stuffed" smoked turkey legs. It was about $26 for big smoked turkey leg. The "stuffed" part comes in because they had a gash in them into which mac n' cheese was poured. The turkey leg was smoky and delicous, perfectly cooked. One critique: it was very, very salty. Make sure you have lots of fluids if you take this one on! The mac n cheese flowing out of it was also really good, but it wasn't very hot (temp wise), it was close to lukewarm. The turkey meat was much hotter than it. The price is also pretty steep. The turkey leg *was* massive, and could likely feed two average people. My appetite is too big though, so I was able to take this sucker down in one sitting, sodium levels be damned!

Lc S.

Yelp
Had hoped this would be good and was disappointed to say the least. Like to support local small businesses and this time I wish I had not. The meal was average or below, and I suspect they need to replace their grease as the food smelled up my kitchen with stinky grease smell and left the family nauseous. Young staff member was typical sullen teenager. The 'vibe' was picnic tables and plastic wear so sit down dinning is a hard pass.

Yelp
First time visiting Alaska with my wife, we both love food and trying out new places to eat and stumbled across Triple A's Soulfood. The service was fantastic and the weather was perfect for outdoor sitting. The food was probably the best food we've ever ate. We will be back here for sure. If you like great food, try this place out.

Yelp
I ordered a catfish po'boy today for lunch and it was amazing! Everything was seasoned to my liking and it certainly wasn't overdone. Very good food, and I wish them success in their journey!

Yelp
Food is definitely fire. Real soul food. This type of flavor is hard to find around Alaska
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
Yum!!!! The portions are huge, the price is great. You gotta check this place out, I will definitely be back. Best gumbo in Alaska!

Yelp
Excellent food, great staff, prices very reasonably. Worth every penny. Try it you'll like it

Yelp
Sooooo good!! We stopped at Triple A on the way to our hotel and what an incredible meal! We had the Soul Bowl packed with chicken, rice, veggies, peppers... served in a hallowed out pineapple half. It was a great portion size and everything tasted so fresh and good!! Great service and really nice people... we'll be back when we're back in the area.

Steve K.

Yelp
Great smoked turkey legs. And nobody any friendlier than these two folks that work there. They are open during the winter so, give them a try

Yelp
Amazing! Super generous portions and packed with flavor!! Made by lovely people to boot!!

Yelp
If you're looking to call ahead and pick up some food to take home or get delivered. I highly recommend this spot. Food is full of flavor. I originally thought it was a little pricy when looking at the menu. But soon as I tasted it, I wasn't mad at all. Good quality fo

Yelp
This place is amazing. The owners are amazing. Triple A's, named for the fact that the word Alaska has three of them, is a taste of home. Whether you are military, curious for some comfort foods, or a transplant from the lowest of the 48 this is where you want to eat. I am so thankful to have found Triple A's Soulfood. The food will have you coming back and spreading the word.
