"On November 29, Issaquah’s redundantly named Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-In closed permanently, reports the Seattle Times. The 1950s-style spot was known for its big roadside root beer barrel and its ties to the classic car community." - Harry Cheadle

Cash only! Pricey, but you get a lot of food. It's a fun place to eat. Its packed with memorabilia. The root beer is really good and served in a frosted mug. I got The Toolbox which is a huge mix of things, chicken wings, chicken strips, fried mushrooms, onion rings, homemade potato chips and different types of fries. It's $27 but its a ton of stuff. Lots of free parking. Not a place for dogs.

Truly a historic one of a kind drive-in that is unbelievably cool and a definite "must experience" anytime that you are near Issaquah. In fact, it is worth making it a destination stop with car shows almost year around, the ultimate 1950s atmosphere. Food that will absolutely stuff you and is definitely excellent. And a root beer that is ranked as one of the top in the US served in huge frosted mugs.

Had this place pinned in google maps for quite some time, finally was in this part of the area and stopped in. I ordered the root beer float, patty melt and garlic fries. Got my order and it was the regular fries, so I let a worker who walked past know and he said he’d go grab the right ones. Then he came back and asked me to put my patty melt on a separate plate so he could take the wrong fries. What? I never been to a restaurant that made me do that. Any time that has happened, they would either take the entire plate themselves and fix it in the kitchen, or just bring out the correct item. It just felt really unprofessional. When I got my correct fries finally, the girl who had originally taken the order just plopped them on my table, said sorry about that and walked off. Honestly, terrible service. Not to mention the prices are outrageous. Everything I ordered came to $43. In terms of the food, it just tasted greasy and the burger meat definitely was bland. Cool decorations, but it wasn’t worth the trip or money.

If the food was good I'd leave a better review. But it's not. The burger was bland, and it's crazy expensive. The plain ol f100 burger is what I ordered and that was ten bucks, it was another seven dollars and change for the fries to go with it, so I stole some from my date. The fries weren't worth $7. A "regular" root beer was seven bucks and change. I tried to like it, because it's a great location, and kinda kitchy cool. Definitely a "drive in" kind of hot rod place, which was neat, but there's so much stuff inside it's a little overwhelming. There's two complete engines right as you walk in the door, a fireplace, and more pictures and chotchkies than I think a guy could look at. I might have ordered a rootbeer float, but they didn't have any ice cream. Oh well.

Fun atmosphere and great for kids! My son and I each had cheeseburgers, and shared an order of fries. My son was so excited for root beer in a frosted mug (it doesn't take much to make him happy!) Cheeseburgers were so-so, but the fries were great and could definitely feed more than just two people. This place is covered in memorabilia. We had a great time just looking at all the items and photos. They don't accept cards, so be sure to bring cash or a check.

Good place to check out but pretty expensive for what you get. CASH ONLY- there are small signs on their windows saying they have an atm but there is a ton of other stuff on the windows making it almost impossible to know it’s cash only before they give you you’re bill. Plenty of food but seemed like burger lacked taste. It’s nice and close to Poo Poo trail if you’re looking for somewhere convenient after the hike.Only about 15 minutes away. Burgers are pretty big so can be shared if you’re not starving. Two shakes, two plain cheeseburgers and a fry came to $59. Service was pretty good. Great place too if you want to hear old time music and get some nostalgia for the day.

It was summer when we came during a car show so it was busy than usual. The atmosphere of the place is almost overwhelming with the decor, but it’s what they’re going for, but not to my ataste but that’s just me. Food portions are ginormous. It’s big enough to split between two or three people. But prepared for the food to clog your arteries. Very greasy… overall good just for the experience.

First thing, share the burger. I can eat a lot and I could not finish the burger, (that is based on size, not taste). I almost ate the whole thing because of the taste. So, so good. My daughter and I both ordered the 'Low Rider' burger and a Root Beer, of course. I would probably eat here once a week if it was not over 1500 miles away. Next time I am in the area, this spot will be on my itinerary. Really cool, 50's style, diner. It is definitely worth going out of your way to eat here.
