The Best Willamette Valley Wine Tastings and Wineries | Eater Portland

"This Ribbon Ridge winery makes a number of bottles with 90+ scores from Wine Enthusiast and James Suckling, but that’s not its only calling card: it covers a wide swath of Willamette Valley wine regions and varietals, including Dundee Hills pinot and Coast Range riesling; it also serves as an art gallery for winemaker and owner James Frey. Frey’s paintings are like his wines, distinctive and nuanced. Visitors can taste indoors or out, on a covered deck overlooking the vineyard or within the gallery, with reservations recommended. It’s open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m." - Katherine Chew Hamilton

Another Oregon winery with a beautiful view, but the people here make the difference. I brought my family here and I can’t remember who helped us, but she made us feel like we were part of her family. Relaxed vibe, good wine, and good views

Google
This winery includes a large shaded patio with a calming beautiful view. I enjoyed the wine tasting as the flights have an interesting range of tasty tones including a sparkling pinot! Would recommend!

Haven't had a winery visit this good in years! Now a top 3 next to Honig (Napa) and a secret in Italy I won't share. Ambiance on point - chill, quiet, unpretentious Hostess, Jasmine, was so kind and perfectly entertaining. Charcuterie board was easy, tasty, wonderful. THE WINE - I now think Willamette's best Pinot. We tried 4 Pinots and loved them all. 2 other surprises on the tasting menu that we adored Just go! And thank you, Jasmine!!

Google
Lovely setting and good wines. We got to talk to Andrea, the owner, which made the whole experience that much more interesting. Didn’t join the club but recommend a visit here.

Google
The perfect winery for any season. Charming staff and the flights were all solid. We shared a sparkling, white and red with a delicious charcuterie plate. Can't wait to go back.

Google
Thank you again for your excellent hospitality. The wine tasting flights are amazing. Especially the Red flight. The explanations and side by side tasting advice give a great lesson in what James Frey is trying to do with his wine. and the 18401 cellars? OMG. Don't ever stop that! :) Thanks again.

We went on vacation through Oregon's wine country and we made a reservation here and was not disappointed. The staff was very knowledgeable about the wines we tasted. Nick made us feel welcomed and taken care of. I hope to visit again one day.

Yelp
What an AMAZING experience at Trisaetum Winery this past week and it was all thanks to our server Alice. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was better than ever. We arrived right as the winery opened and did not have a reservation but were quickly seated on their covered patio. There were two options when doing the tastings either wine or spirits. The wine was tasting was between $40-$50 per person but we ended up splitting it between two of us since we were going to many wineries that day and this was our first stop. Trisaetum Winery by far was my favorite wine of the day. The wine was fresh, smooth and refreshing. I should have bought a bottle like my friends. They have wine tastings daily between 11-4 am with both indoor and outdoor seating. This winery is a must try when checking out wineries, you won't be disappointed especially if Alice is your server. She was so friendly and easy to talk to!

Yelp
Came here with my two buddies and my buddies family and my buddies family friends and my two friends from Charleston. Guess who took us on our wine tasting experience (will share the answer at the end) The wine was amazing. My favorite was a Riesling. This is unique, typically I prefer reds. Whatever they did to the grapes and the vines and the vibes and everything else you do, made me love it. As I mentioned before, I typically prefer reds, the reason? I will share now instead of making you wait. (Also my plane is about to take off I have to hurry). I think they taste better. Although, one night, some say two, I spilled wine on my very nice white shirt. That doesn't stop me from loving it. I went wine tasting here 5 days ago and most morning when I wake up I think about how they had their wine at the White House. Tell me something cooler. Also, the owner showed us around. He is kinda a STUD.

Yelp
We are in the gin membership. This gin takes it to the next level with so many botanicals without overpowering the flavor. Just remember the wine member and the hard alcohol membership aren't reciprocal. They are so accommodating and such a relaxing place to be. The person serving us was very knowledgeable and we were able to ask questions and get authentic answers. Highly recommend.

Yelp
A gorgeous winery in a beautiful setting. We visited on a cool, cloudy November day and enjoyed a lovely tasting on the covered patio, complete with blankets, an overhead heater, and panoramic views. We did both a red and white tasting with a charcuterie plate. The wines are interesting, especially the dry Rieslings, and the food was tasty. Nothing can parallel the tranquil setting though. Combine that with knowledgeable staff and great wine, and you've got a must visit spot in the Willamette Valley!

Leilani P.

Yelp
We got to try two flights, and a few spirits. It was nice because they don't bring the flights all at once. They let you finish your first glass of wine and they come back to introduce you to the next. We also got their large plate it serves 4 people and it was plenty for each of us to try a bit of everything. The staff member we got, I believe was an owner, she was very nice and super knowledgeable about the wines, spirits and charcuterie board.

Yelp
The best winery. Calming. Delightful. Beautiful setting. Great staff all around - including Oklahoma, Alice, and all of the staff who are so welcoming. Wine club party was yummy and fun last weekend. So enjoyable.

Yelp
Stopped in for a birthday tasting and the women at the front counter was hella rude so we left. Other wineries will be more than willing to take our money. The atmosphere wasn't very inviting.

Yelp
Wine? Check. Spirits? Check. Pick your poison they've got it. We came with our friends who are wine club members and had a nice tasting on a rather warm day - so we sat inside. They are dog-friendly outside on the patio. Our server was really knowledgeable (I think she was there from the start of the winery?) and the wines were good. You have a choice of bubbles, reds, whites or a mix. As we were leaving they also mentioned they do a "spirits tasting" which comes with mini-cocktails! We did a quick vodka taste - it was excellent. We'll be back to try the spirits!

Yelp
We love this winery it was the first of four that we visited during a day long journey through Willamette Valley. Carmine from Oregon winemaker tour set The day up and this was his first choice for us. Wine was exceptional, atmosphere was divine, can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
Wine Tour Stop #1: Trisaetum Winery This wine tasting was great. You can select from one of three flight options, the sparkling, mixed red & white or red. I chose the sparkling wines flight and my husband chose the mixed red & white wines flight. The views from the patio are amazing and the tasting was very informative. The tasting fee is $25 per person but that is waived with the purchase of one bottle of wine per taster. We ended up purchasing a bottle of the 2019 Wichmann Dundee Dry Reisling and the 2018 Pashey Estates Cuvee which were our favorites in our flights. If you are in the area, check this winery out.

Yelp
Solid stop on the Oregon wine tasting journey. Service was a little slower than I had hoped but our host Alice was good with the pours and super knowledgeable and gracious. I'm familiar with their Rieslings, Chardonnays, and Pinots. All are delicious and beautifully crafted. The views from outdoor tasting area are absolutely beautiful. Consider a stop at this gem.

Yelp
Up in Oregon on vacation and stopped in Trisaetum Winery for a tasting. They offer 3 tastings and we settled on the Red Wine Flight. The Rose' Pinot was pleasant. The rest of the Pinots were drinkable right away, albeit on the lighter/thin side. Although we mostly drink reds, we thought their Reislings were excellent...and apparently so did the White House. Our host, David, was nice and knowledgeable, and when he didn't know the answer to our questions, he asked his colleagues to weigh in which they were more than happy to do. Not only do they make wine, but they make Spirits too...vodka, gin, and rye whisky. My boyfriend bought a bottle of gin that consists of 59 botanicals (he mentioned he may even like this more than Hendricks's) and a bottle of the rye whiskey. We were sat in comfy chairs overlooking the vineyard. The owner is a wonderful artist and not only has his paintings hanging in the tasting room (definitely worth a look), but his artist series blend of Pinots show case a new painting each year. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the Willamette Valley.

Yelp
Wowzer y'all what a beautiful location, venue, staff and amazing wine!!! So many wineries to choose from but definitely recommend this one for sure a must add to your list!!! Try to stay away from the 2020's due to fires that year...No bueno and 2021 to early but some of the 2018 and 2019 collaborations were spot on and very yummy

Yelp
In an area with so many incredibly gorgeous vinyards serving top notch wines, Trisaetum stands out. The outdoor patio with the sunshine dabbling through the open beams, perched overlooking the vineyard, is both breathtaking and peaceful. Amazing how a delicious wine and a stunning view can literally wash away life's troubling times, even if only for a few hours. In lieu of a flight - they offer many variations at $20-25 so you can choose the one that matches your palette or what you want to experience - we chose to share a full bottle of red. They trade grapes with a winery in Walla Walla Washington and the 2016 proprietary red from their 1842 Cellars label came highly recommended From a friend. Actually she insisted I try it because she knows my preference. It did not disappoint! Full bodied and smooth, it was delicious from the first sip! A wonderful blend that was fabulous with the charcuterie board we ordered and would go with so many dinners. The service was so friendly and informative, giving us the history of the vineyards, the wine we chose, and even describing every item on the artistically arranged cheese board. Which also was delicious! Spanish manchego, aged cheddar, olives, figs, hazelnuts, salami and a spiced dried cured ham; was the perfect accompaniment and mid day snack. We enmbraced the unseasonably warm 76 degree day, enjoying our spot on the patio taking in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Breathe in, breathe out. So relaxing. We will absolutely be visit again! We loved everything about Trisaetum Winery including the stunning original artwork adorning the inside, and available for purchase.

Yelp
Wow. This place ALWAYS crushes it (see what I did there ) I found Trisaetum during the pandemic- they had just finished building their first patio space- which has since expanded to seat even more when the weather is nice. The views are truly astounding. The property is far enough off the main roads that this feels like a hidden gem- but the wine and staff make this place truly top tier. Jasmine, Jacob and Nick have all left memorable impressions on us- they remember our names and stories- they laugh with us and pour great wines- they feel like friends. I absolutely LOVE this place and hope others have a chance to experience it too. Patios have heaters! The Riesling section is the best in the valley. The charcuterie here is also excellent!
google avatar

Yelp
It has been a couple of months since I have been here. I am happy to be outside and enjoying nice view and good glasses of wine. Jasmine got me a reserved a corner table facing to the vineyard at the patio, so I don't have to worry about the people around me. We had a red flight and a mixed flight. Started with 2019 Pino Nor Rose, dry, raspberry and some herbs, definitely a good glass for nice summer day. Our favorite were Chardonnay, which has nice oak aroma and some honey crisp flavor, and their 2015 Pino Nor, rich but has some nice acidity. And my most favorite, 2015 Walla Walla Cabernet. Nice and dry but round flavor, it completed my tasting.

Yelp
Wow this winery has AMAZING views and the tasting room is along the vines so you feel you're in them. The wines gave healthy pours and my family came away with 5 bottles of wine to drink for the rest of our trip. The views alone would make me come back here and it's supported by good wine and great pours!

Yelp
Into the Oregon wine country we drove country roads out to taste wines produced from dry farmed grapes. Dry farming means nothing added and nothing removed. With the natural world you have all you need! Fortunately RAIN RAIN RAIN is Oregon's cultural blessing. RAIN also nourishes the grapes to grow and grow and fill a glass of fine wine. I suppose this location is good to grow and dry farm grapes cuz the top soil from the Missoula floods over some thousand's of years ago washed down into the Willamette valley. The rich top soil spread throughout the land which was formed millions of years before by volcanic eruptions, along with marine sediments of sandstone and weathered bedrock when the land was under the Pacific ocean. Thus, this is a fertile paradise for grape vines to thrive and plow more that 8 feet deep though top soil deep into the loose and granular volcanic material and marine sediment. I have no idea if this is true or not, just my assumptions. Call it scientific "BS!" What I do know is what I tasted. Unbelievable notes of this rich earth, spice and/or fruit permeated my nostril linings. My gums sizzled with penetrating fruitiness and spices - that's my taste notes. And I do not take notes. I only drink! Taste! Enjoy! Get a buzz! Have fun tasting! Your notes will be different than mine. Go "dry farmed" my friends. We tasted 5-white rieslings and 5-pinot noirs spilling out note after note of earth, spice and fruit - all good! We purchased the 2016 Coast Range Estate Pinot Noir (I really could taste the fruit and deep sense of the earth, so pristine). We bought the 2018 Ribbon Ridge Estate Riesling (so dry but sweet - I would say it is a desert wine that would pair well with spicy Thai food). Committed to preserving the natural habitat, using cover crops, compost, no herbicides, no irrigation, hand harvesting, hot water cleaning, minimize sulfur, gravity wine making and just the natural and normal Oregon climate (dry farming 100%) - this winery knows the soil, knows growing & harvesting and knows wine making. It was a chilly winter day in the 40's "F" so we were inside. The tasting room is an amazing art gallery with a vast collection of paintings on the walls wherever you look. The paintings by the owner depict a sense of place for the picturesque rolling hills lined with rows of grape vines surrounded by a natural world. Pinot! Chardonnay! Sparkling! Riesling! Fruit of the vine! Also, there are translucent containers filled with earth so you can see what makes the grapes grow. Good and fun experience was had by all!

Andrew T.

Yelp
My wife and I took 2 friends here on a Thursday and we were treated to a wonderful wine tasting experience! The staffs were very friendly and patients in explaining the different tastings and answers our questions. The space was very relaxing surrounded by rolling hills. We would recommend Trisaetum to our family and fiends!

Yelp
It was pretty, but no one in our group of six liked any of the wines we tasted, and we left immediately after our tasting due to the pretentiousness we all felt. There are enough other, more enjoyable wineries to check out in the area.

Yelp
Yes! You must go here Never been to wine country in Oregon but spent a handful of times in California wine country and this place did not disappoint! 1) The views and location we're absolutely beautiful, you can not beat it. 2) Delicious wines. I'm more a deep reds, so I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy this but I enjoyed every wine I tasted. Their partnership with a Walla Walla winery led to an amazing deep red that met all my wants! 3) Customer service - this should probably top my list. Alice was beyond exceptional. We all know that a tasting only is as good as the person pouring your glass. Alice ticked all the boxes: she was a little goofy and made us laugh, she gave a sample splash of something I was interested in buying and she didn't rush us even though we showed up late for our tasting and were there past closing. Honestly Alice made this entire experience but the wine was a delight as well. We only stopped at one winery in Oregon, so I can't compare to the others, but what I can say is that we do not regret at all that this was our only stop. Hope all you Yelpers enjoy Alice and Trisaetum as much as we did
google avatar

Yelp
Every bit of my inner critic for quality, aesthetics, hospitality screamed YES, this was the real deal. Now let's get to the wine, because the hospitality, knowledge of the wines, terrior and various vintages were all spot on. (Think you're rich and your staff knows your preferences, that's how they will make you feel.) The wine lives up to it's price list and all the professional kudos it has received. Spent more than usual at this place. #Sorrynotsorry Ask for Alice as your tasting host. You can thank me later.

Yelp
Lovely property with delicious wine and staff. We ordered a cheese plate and it was one of the most ample amount of cheese and snacks.

Yelp
Every Friday I end my week by hitting up one winery in Willamette Valley. I've been doing this all summer and quite frankly they've all been great experiences, but I believe this one deserves some extra love. I believe the wine tasting was $20-$25 a tasting. Tasting was waived with the purchase of 1 bottle. The pours were generous. 3 tasting menus to choose from(and they even allowed a substitution) View was great. Bottle prices were reasonable. I ended up purchasing a fantastic 93 point Chardonnay for appr. $45(the worst thing is tasting a great Chardonnay and then seeing the bottle price is $85) I saw one couple brought their own food, so that is a nice option for an earlier tasting. The server was great and had interesting knowledge on no-irrigation, bees, and clones. I'm usually not a Riesling fan, but their Riesling's were dry and really pleasant. ...what else is there to say? It is worth the revisit.
google avatar

Yelp
Trisaetum is a special place all year round so you can enjoy amazing wines outside on a deck enjoying the beautiful vineyards or inside enjoying the beautiful artwork. They have many varietals to taste; from exquisite Sparkling wines to a bold Cabernet Sauvignon with multiple high quality Dry Rieslings, Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs in between. However, our favorite part of Trisaetum is interacting with the staff. They are both knowledgeable and friendly and make the wine and the view an interactive experience. Wine lovers everywhere should schedule a tasting today!
google avatar

Yelp
Our whole experience was wonderful. We didn't have a reservation, there was no issue accommodating us. We got seated right away and our host, Nick was fantastic. The cheese & meat platter was perfect and we got to end with a taste of their bubbles which was an added bonus. Thank you for such a great afternoon with your team! Special shout-out to Nick, your new employees should train under him!

Yelp
Alice was a star! She made our tasting amazing!! We had a private tasting in the gallery surrounded by art done by the owner. The pinots were good, but the Riesling was delicious. Comparable to dry German wines. Alice was very knowledgeable with the winery, history and local wineries. She gave a lot of background into the winery history and making of the wine. We had cheeses and salami with our wine tasting. All of the Pinots were very smooth had had a lot of flavor. The champagne was good. The Riesling was delicious! Highly, highly recommend! This is the whole package! Great high quality, smooth wines, excellent service with lots of knowledge. This would be top of my list if I came back wine tasting in Oregon!

Yelp
My husband and I went to this tasting room for the first time last month for three reasons. We left Trisaetum's tasting room in agreement that it and their wines were two of the most fun discoveries of our three days of Newberg area exploration. If you're going to be in the area, we recommend simply "go here" for three reasons - wine, art and tasting room hospitality WINES The first reason for our visit to Trisaetum is we heard they make good Riesling. We found that to be so. About five different Rieslings, in fact, each distinctly luscious. We liked them all and bought several bottles. These wines seemed to us to be the most in the style of our favorite Rieslings from Mosel (Germany) of any in Oregon and presented much like those in the range of kabinett and spaetlese. . But the winemakers here also add their own twist and of course the terroir adds what it adds too. An insert on terroir - very cool that you walk into the lovely lobby of the art filled (literally - more on that in a moment) tasting room to see wine glasses on a table filled with the various soils of the region. Soil that is the key to growing good grapes that are the foundation of making great wine. Love it when tasting rooms reinforce that connection for wine drinkers. In addition to wonderful Riesling, Trisaetum also produces several good Pinot Noir, a white Pinot Noir they call Nuit Blanche Pinot Noir and also a Rose. Prices per bottle run about $20 (Rose) to $40 - $75 (Pinot Noir) retail. The Rieslings clocked in at about $24 / bottle. ART The second reason we went to Trisaetum is we learned the winery's co-owner and wine maker, James Frey, was also the artist whose work we admired among many works of original Oregon artists that were displayed in The Allison where we were staying. We heard that the Trisaetum tasting room also serves as a gallery to display more of Mr. Frey's contemporary paintings as well as his photographic art. It was delightful to be able to taste wine and wander around the gallery at the same time. HOSPITALITY The third reason we went to Trisaetum is we heard the tasting room had an unpretentious, "all people are welcome" vibe. We found that was true too. The knowledgeable staff tries to make wine approachable for all people. They could answer questions and make recommendations and in a way that we think would make seasoned wine collectors or rank beginner wine drinkers feel equally at home. We're somewhere between those two bookends and we know we felt most welcome. Also, the tasting fee structure and refund policy here rate a big thumbs up. While tasting fees are good things for many reasons (as one tasting room host at another location said, and we knew what was meant in the kindest translation of the phrase, "fees keep out the riff-raff") it also seems right that fees should be kept reasonable and refunded with a minimal purchase. Very nice to have Trisaetum's fee low enough to not be a barrier to participation for the "average guy" and also to be refunded with a small purchase. (We bought several bottles, but it may have been just one that triggered fee refund.) THIS N THAT 1) Accessibility: Marked accessible parking in the paved lot. Paved access to the level in door. Entire tasting room is accessible. Very well done to allow winos using wheels as seamlessly equal access as winos using feet. 2) Outdoor Seating: The tasting room has a patio / deck outside it that looks out onto vineyards. They sell wine by the glass (I asked) as well as the bottle so this patio seems like a lovely place to sit and sip a glass (or two) when (if) it stops raining (as it was during our visit). 3) Trisaetum, along with about three dozen other Willamette Valley wineries that bottle Riesling, has joined in the Oregon Riesling Alliance (http://www.oregonriesling.org/welcome.html ) and are tied into the International Riesling Foundation . This is good news as it will almost certainly mean more great Riesling bottled in this region for all of us to enjoy. 4) Great Riesling is NOT an oxymoron. If you think you don't like Riesling, you may think of it as the awful stuff sold in the US a couple of decades ago that came in blue bottles. Try this Riesling and try some from other producers in the Valley to find your favorite for style. You'll be glad you did. 5) Trisaetum has $10 Flat Rate Shipping to all states to which Oregon wineries can legally ship wine. There's an incentive for you to try their wine! 6) The winery name is a composite of the owner's daughter and son's name. I knew you wondered. :-)

Yelp
I took my mom for a day of wine tasting and we selected Trisaetum. As arrived a couple that was leaving told us we'd have a wonderful time. We sure did! Generous pours of delicious wine and excellent service. We were greeted with off the tasting menu tastes including a glass of bubbly to celebrate my moms birthday. The winery is beautiful with lots of art and we sat by the beautiful glass windows to enjoy the view outside. It was a lovely day!

Yelp
GREAT WINES. Very nice offerings-- 3 different flights. All white, white/red, all red, only $10 each. They waive with purchase of a bottle too. Nice policy. Nice gallery of the winemaker's art. We saw him at Science Pub, and had to see the art and taste the wine. Both were beautiful! Nice patio too! I'd like to spend more time there with a packed picnic.

Yelp
My favorite winery of my willamette trip. I ended up buying a couple of bottles of their sparkly wine and a bottle of pinot. The owner is also an artist and there is a small art gallery, where you can see that he has incorporated the local earth and grape skins into his paintings.
google avatar

Jill P.

Yelp
What a beautiful find in our ongoing winery tours. Beautiful outdoor grounds with a lovely patio to sit on while sipping your tastes. You don't have to stay at the bar, you can sit and when you are ready for the next taste you go to the wine bar. Really good Pinot here. On special occasions they serve food that compliments the wine and also tastings in the wine cellar. This is kid friendly as well. The art on the wall is all done by the owner. We love Tristatem names after their two children!

K F.

Yelp
The best or at least one of the most incredible Reislings we have ever enjoyed! WE use it and serve it regularly and our guests always ask to see the label! So that is a total endorsement!

Yelp
I would never recommend this winery to anyone, the most unfriendly wine staff! Within the first few minutes of my 3 friends & I arriving, we said we would not return. Every month, I get together with a few friends and go wine tasting. We love all things wine & love visiting new wineries and returning to the ones we love. We love getting to know the staff and experiencing the wonderful wines the vineyards have to offer. This month we decided to try Trisaetam because it was recommended by another staff person at another winery. From the first moment we arrived, Alice was so rude to us and made us feel very unwelcome. She is very knowledgeable about wines but is not a people person at all. She's not friendly and barely smiled. When we asked questions, we felt like we were bothering her and were annoying her. We tried really hard to be nice to her to make it a pleasant experience for us & by the end of our tasting, she was a little better but we still would not recommend this winery to anyone! Their wines were just ok, the Rose & Rieslings were nice but the reds were just subpar. PROS - tasting fee of $20 waived if you buy 1 bottle (this was great, most wineries make you buy 2-3 to waive fee) , Rose & Rieslings were very good. CONS - Alice is rude & unfriendly, cannot buy wines by the glass, red selections just okay.
google avatar

Holly B.

Yelp
While the wine was truly fantastic, the pour was not.. $20 for a tiny taste of 5 wines? A bit insulting to be frank. Thank goodness there was free cheese?

Yelp
Trisaetum has a great variety of delicious wine, in a beautiful tasting room with a super- friendly and knowledgeable staff. My favorite wines include their amazing bubbly, a Chardonnay that is a little oaky and just perfect, and a great variety of reds from pinots to other fun blends. The staff is smart and happy to guide you. Alice and Jasmine are our favorites and we are always excited to see them, but the whole staff is equally nice. To top it off, the owner is a talented artist and his paintings are hung throughout the tasting room. Definitely worth a visit.

This place was off the beaten path in the valley but totally worth the trip. This was one of my favorite places that we visited in the valley. This winery focuses strictly on pinots and Riesling. If I remember correctly our pourers name was Alice and she was so knowledgeable about the vineyard and the wine making that it made me really respect the effort that went into the wine here. It is a family owned estate and they started it from the ground up. The winery itself is named after their 2 kids. The tasting room is gorgeous and is filled with a lot of art that is interesting to look at while you sip on your wine. They also had a nice deck out the back that overlooked the vineyard. It was amazing outside. It was so serene and quiet you could have heard a pin drop out there. The pinots here were really, really good. They were full of flavor and complexity. By far my favorite pinot was the Artist Series. These bottles are select clones from the estate. Let me tell you something, these are fantastically interesting pinots and were recommended for aging. I definitely left with a bottle of this specifically for a special occasion. (NOTE: The label painting was done by one of the owners. Pretty cool touch if you ask me.)The Rieslings were also very tasty and I am not a big Riesling fan. I highly recommend this winery to stop in at, you will not be disappointed in the service, the wine, or the artwork for that matter!

Yelp
Our favorite stop on our wine tour: best pinots and fantastic art, staff, and view as bonuses. I was waiting all day for a really amazing pinot in pinot land, and found it on our last stop of the day. Highlights: - Staff: Owner is living the good life making wines that he loves and producing art. With this small staff of 7, all we talked to were wonderful. - Art: colorful canvases with clever use of Pinot skins and vines - Pinots: best all around pinots we tasted that day. Had 4 and loved them all - View: up in the hill with an amazing patio area Lowlights: - Other varietal of wine they make was gewurztraminer: they were good versions, so no fault of theirs as I'm just not a fan of the varietal We're now wine club members so we might be back. 8-)

Yelp
Trisaetum Winery was the prettiest winery we visited - we wandered around the vineyard and took lots of photos before they opened up. There's art on the walls of the tasting room, it's like a winery/gallery in one! We had a great time here and I highly recommend this beautiful winery to anyone in the area.

Yelp
Wasn't impressed with the Pinot Noirs as much as the white wine and sparkling offerings. Would love to see them own their strengths because whites are definitely where they shine. Beautiful artwork in the gallery as well.

Yelp
The wine maker has stunning art that he painted through the tasting room. It was a lovely experience with really good wine!

Yelp
We went into Trisaetum on Saturday with friends from California. Here are some notes. 1. Setting - this is a classic tasting room with some big extra bonuses, there is both an art gallery and an outdoor seating area. The views are incredible. You have to drive on a gravel road for a bit but this place is easy to get to. 2. Wines - great variety of wines. The flight options focus on Riesling and Pinot Noir. This place gets many 90+ point scores. The wines are as good as the scores indicate. If you have ever enjoyed an Oregon wine you will like the wines here. 3. Staff - The hospitality here is excellent. The team is smart and confident and they let you know what your options are. This is a special place and the host makes you feel special too. 4. Art - It looks good to me. This winery is definitely worth your time.

Yelp
I'm really glad we were pointed to Trisaetum. We were looking for a couple of good whites and were directed here by another winery. I'm glad we made the stop. Very unique whites. We did run into their reserve Pinot and bold red too. We had a very knowledgeable server that can actually respond intelligently without a scripted response. We ended up joining their wine club. Great views and gallery.

Yelp
Flavors like these are why I used to hate wine. The brut and rose in their white flight were lovely, and the tasting room is beautiful, but everything else -- including the entire red flight -- tasted and smelled of burnt hair. I wouldn't recommend it.

Yelp
My friend and I visited yesterday for first time. Incredible wines and artwork. Alice made trip especially fun with laughs, good conversation and impeccable service/suggestions/knowledge and even served us fabulous gouda/white cheddar cheeses while we sipped. WE WILL return with more friends and family. I walked away with a bottle of 2013 dry Riesling....Yuuuuum!

Yelp
We've been wine club for several years and just wanted to let everyone know how much we love it! We really recommend their club because (unlike many other wineries) these folks have many club perks: preview tastings, pick up parties, and good discounts and tasting comps. But even if you're not club, they are very lovely folks. Alice and Jasmine have been there for years and they always provide A+ service. I recommend setting up one of the premium tasting experiences if they're available. The wines are superb. James and Chris really make terrific riesling and pinot noir. They've also started producing great chardonnay.

Yelp
I was able to try their dry Riesling at Higgin's Restaurant in Portland. I enjoyed it so much that we made a point of stopping by their winery when we returned to Willamette. We were glad we did. Their focus is on Pinot's and Riesling - 2 of my faves! My husband isn't really a Riesling fan, but even he enjoyed their take on Riesling. I especially liked comparing their Coast Range vs Ribbon Ridge. So unique in their own ways and yet equally delicious. I really liked the Artist Series Pinot and thought it was creative and unique to print the owner/winemaker/artist paintings on their bottles. Their tasting room is also beautiful if you enjoy art. It has nice views of their surrounding vineyards. Our server, I believe her name was Jasmine, was so knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed our experience and found it so welcoming. I literally wanted to buy a bottle of everything we tasted - which was a good indicator to me that joining their wine club was a good idea. So, without planning to, we became wine club members during our first visit. Given the quality of their wines, the wine club options and their price point - it made total sense. It's worth the drive down the dusty, windy road to Trisaetum!

Yelp
We spent a lovely afternoon at the Trisaetum tasting room - the wine was great, we'll come back for more bubbles and to hang out with Jasmine. Try the everything. Bring some cheese.

Yelp
We visited Tristaetum on a Thursday afternoon after driving down a narrow dirt road. The grounds are stunning and the tasting area is tastefully decorated with the winemaker's artwork. Our pourer was friendly but had some trouble tending to us once other guests arrived. Overall, I thought the wines were OK. I don't think this winery weathered the 2010-11 vintages well. I could taste the craftsmanship but most wines were overshadowed by an acidic/acrid flavor most likely brought on by the bad years. At $40+ a bottle, I struggled to find a wine to purchase. I need to come back here after the 2012 vintages are released. I'd expect my rating to improve dramatically.
