The 11 Best Bars In Soho

"Trisha’s is a faintly dingy public members’ club that looks like the kind of place the Soprano crew would meet, and come weekends there’s a sticky atmosphere in this Greek Street institution that attracts characters and voyeurs alike. A line forms from the blue door outside, the bouncer decides your fate, and from there, thirsty sardines pack the basement room to slosh gin and tonics and trade tales true and false." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing

Trisha's - Review - Soho - London - The Infatuation

"No area in London has stories quite like Soho and no bar has served (and spilled) them quite like Trisha’s. The basement bar on Greek Street is infamous, not just for being a favourite haunt of the late, great Anthony Bourdain, but for its guarantee of a memorable night. This faintly dingy public members’ club looks like the kind of place the Soprano crew would meet, and come weekends there’s a sticky atmosphere that attracts characters and voyeurs alike. A line forms from the blue door outside, the bouncer decides your fate, and from there, thirsty sardines pack the room to slosh gin and tonics and trade tales true and false. A venue for much-needed catch-ups and a heart-to-hearts this is not, but if a few hastily made drinks and a cigarette with a man who claims to be 13th in line to the throne sounds good, then there’s nowhere better. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Jake Missing

This is one of those members only dives that still retains a little of that old artsy Soho spirit which is almost extinct now. The vibes instead are cosy and welcoming, mostly full of young artistic types and a few veterans. The doorman was literally the nicest doorman I've ever encountered. He was so kind and friendly. I'm not sure why people complain about the door or prices or cover. We had no issues and no cover. And the drinks were good prices and good pours for Soho. It's not gonna be fancy, but it's gonna be real. The bartender was cool and she was quick. It's definitely a good place to end the night with a chill, unpretentious crowd.

Don’t bother. They’ve introduced a ‘membership scheme’ (£££) and want to scan your ID before you even get in the door. It’s a shame. Used to be a great place.

A truly weird evening spent here, the sort of place that's full of characters. Immaculate people watching, gourmet food or cocktail bar vibes it ain't, but there's plenty of places for that. Quirky institution full of quirky people.

Trisha's is... definitely unique. I haven't had the opportunity of attending one of its live jazz events, but the few hours I've spent dancing there were pretty decent and enjoyable. Towards the end of the night one of the speakers though was pushed to its limits and was playing distorted sounds from the on-the-go bartenders Spotify playlist.. it was truly an interesting experience. 😅

Really fun basement bar/club, had a great time there. It's fairly small but not overly cramped and it makes for an intimate vibe. Would highly recommended checking it out if you're nearby!

Trisha's is a members only basement bar. It has a great atmosphere and has been going for decades. It is small in size but big in personality.

The most amazing place, an atmosphere everyone needs after covid, a great bar that should be around for rest of time!
