"Yes, these mini doughnuts require an excursion to Pier 39, but it’s well worth the trip for a bag (okay, fine: a bucket) of these sweet, airy mini doughnuts. Sure, they taste more like a churro than a traditional doughnut, but that won’t stop you from popping them in your mouth at an astonishing and incredibly satisfying rate." - Lauren Saria, Dianne de Guzman, Eater Staff

Yelp
We always come here, especially when we're by the Embarcadero or by the pier when we eat at fisherman's wharf me and my girlfriend always get the 12 mini donuts. It's always always filling if you're hungry you can shoot for 24 which is $13. The service here is very fast and quick and also do you have a nice view of the pier which gives it a great ambience

Yelp
Trish's donuts is a must have after lunch or exploring Pier 39. Freshly made in front of your eyes. Comes out hot with sprinkles of sugar all over. There's always room for desserts for us haha. We did not get the bucket but got a dozen. It was nice and hot. We finished almost all of it while walking around. Highly recommend to make a stop and pick up some!

Angelica C.

Yelp
This is a must get when you're visiting the pier! The weather was super windy and cold and these mini donuts come out fresh and hot! I love how the donuts come out so small, fluffy and completely covered in sugar! They're so cute and tiny and fun to eat! Service was super fast! We ordered 2 bags and they only took a couple minutes to come out!

Yelp
While in San Francisco for a work trip, my friend and tour guide took us by this delicious little donut shop along Pier 39!! It's just a walk up window and the line moved really quickly. You get this cute little mini donuts and they are cooked fresh and really hit the spot. It was a breezy day and I welcomed the hot donuts! I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Nice sweet treat as you walk along and sight see!

Yelp
As tourists of course we had to stroll through pier 39. So many food options, so we decided to make a little food tour. One of our stops was Trish's mini donuts! They're small and delicious. They were so soft and stayed soft for hours too. That's key to a good donut! They can be dangerous tho. Be careful how many you eat!

Charisse L.

Yelp
A must-eat in SF. I like to get the bucket because the bucket is cool. Fast service, cheap, you get exactly what you ask for. Best place on the pier.

Bonnie C.

Yelp
Happened to stumble upon this booth while walking around Pier 39 and it was delicious! My boyfriend and I were snacking on these as we were walking around the pier and finished a dozen after like 10 minutes! So delicious and definitely recommend if you are looking for a sweet treat at Pier 39.

Jeffrey H.

Yelp
Every time I'm around Pier 39 I stop by here to grab some mini donuts. I love how fully and sweet they are. Sometimes 12 isn't enough... maybe I should get a bucket next time .

Yelp
Delicious!! So as we walked through the peer, it is very difficult to decide on which place to choose for food. We stumbled into this place because at the time, it was a but cold and this place had available indoor sitting. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I am glad we did!! This place served some of the best clam chowder I had at the pier! At first look, it looks just like one if the many places here selling the same thing, but what makes this place stand out are several things. First, the staff is super friendly, helpful and NICE, which can be hard to find here at the pier on any given weekend. Second, the prices and portions are very moderate, and the food is very delicious! We had the chowder and chili, I must say that great chili is hard to find and this place nailed it! Third, the place was clean, plenty of inside and outside seating and it was clean! After our meal, we had some of the little doughnuts that they also sell here (just outside the eating area, I strongly suggest you save some room to try those little doughnuts, buy the bucket, TRUST ME! Overall, our experience here was great all around, I recommend you visit this place, you wont be disappointed. I ALWAYS GIVE MY HUMBLE AND HONEST OPINION on good, great and bad places as I believe that if I am going to spend MY money at a place for their food, it better be worth it.

Yelp
A bucket of 36 donuts seems like a lot until you get to the bottom of the bucket and realize you easily inhaled about 5-6 donuts in a blink of an eye. Trish's Donuts are a pier staple just as much as clam chowder in a bread bowl. The smell alone is like the voice of a siren luring you to this donut shop. They are made fresh, you literally see them being made as you order. The ladies behind the register are fast and efficient. Don't let the long line get you down, they are fast when it comes to getting orders out. Each donut is dusted in both cinnamon and sugar, and pairs well with a cup of hot coffee to warm you up on those chill SF summer days.

Yelp
Pier 39 and fresh, warm donuts... what more can you ask for? This little shop is nestled right near the wild sea lion lookout, giving you the perfect opportunity to grab something quick to eat on the go. Although it is pricey (this is SF after all), it is tasty. We ordered the 12 mini donuts for $8, which came with optional cinnamon sugar topping. The topping did not stay on the donuts at all, but the dough itself was sweet enough as is. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to try this, but if you're on the pier and in the mood for something different than ice cream, this may be the spot!

Amber Y.

Yelp
The donuts are fresh and made to order. You can even see them being made! The donuts are lightly dusted with cinnamon and sugar. Perfect for a quick dessert after a meal on the pier!

Nicole G.

Yelp
Mini donuts are always a MUST for me. My bestie's sister said you guys have to try these mini donuts and she wasn't kidding. Delightful! I appreciate that the stand sells different quantities from a taste size to indulging size. We got the 6 pack. Seriously, 6 cute little mini donuts. They were soft, crispy, and sprinkled in sugar (I wouldn't have minded if there was a bit more). I thought they could have been warmer, but still tasty. We got the perfect amount just to taste them to see what the hype was about. Gal who helped us was nice and friendly. If you're in the Pier 39 area, you should try these mini donuts.

Jo L.

Yelp
Nice hot mini donuts. Not too oily which is what's worrisome when getting donuts from quick places like these. Good amount of sugar

Jennine K.

Yelp
got a bucket of mini donuts to share with our group! they're so good, very sweet and crispy! you got to eat them right away tho they're not as good when they're not warm!

Nicole H.

Yelp
Cute, nostalgic decor on this donut stand on Pier 39. You can smell the luscious donuts from a mile away. They are warm and toasty. They are mini but mighty. They are an interesting cross between a pancake/waffle & donut/beignet. Hahaha. You get all those flavors and textures in one mini 'donut.' Our group already had a big lunch, so we just wanted a warm, small, sweet bite of something (so many choices on the pier). I could only fit one in my stomach, and it hit the spot. Service was nice. They would be great with coffee or tea. Definitely a warm, sweet treat on a chilly day.

Annie T.

Yelp
These are fresh, hot, light donuts that are bite-size and with just the right amount of sweetness. I get this every time I am at the pier, and based on how much I remember loving it, I HAD to get the bucket! Go here. You won't regret it.

Arcelia G.

Yelp
Mmmm. What's not to love about this place?!? Every time I am near I must get donuts from here. Not only do I love donuts but these have such a strong hold in my memory since I always associate these donuts with good times. You can buy small quantities if you want to try them, or even get a "tub" of 120 of them. This time around I got 24 minis. They hit the spot, always fresh and the right mix of sugar. A must stop place for a great snack.

Ida S.

Yelp
A sweet treat on the pier... look no further! Trish's Mini Donuts is so cute and tasty! It is a easy grab and go donut shop. The donuts are made fresh and you can get it for yourself or share with some friends. The service was fast and friendly. This donut shop is known for their treats! It is casual place and you can just order at the pick up window. I highly recommend grabbing a bucket of donuts and explore the area.

Lianni L.

Yelp
An absolute must stop when in San Francisco and at pier 39! These mini donuts are made fresh as your ordering and they're just so delicious and good! They're served warm and with or without their sugar mix. They have different amount options to choose from and if you get their biggest option it comes with a souvenir bucket. I love these mini doughnuts, it's too easy to eat so many of them!

Paul D.

Yelp
Worth it. The donuts are fresh and tasty and worth the price. Still thinking about those mini donuts 8 hours later. The lemonade was fresh and tasty. The hype is real.

Esther C.

Yelp
Fresh and warm mini donuts! Perfect for some sweet bites while strolling around the boardwalk.

Melissa C.

Yelp
The food was so good and so warm and SoFresh the service is fasten excellent yeah dance was so so good good

Susan H.

Yelp
Great warm bite size donuts. We ordered two dozen thinking it would be too many... they all disappeared very quickly. It was great to have as we strolling around the pier.

Mark O.

Yelp
I went to Trish's donuts after the Alcatraz tour with my team. I got three buckets of donuts (36 in a bucket). I brought them back from team (46 kids) and they were finished within five minutes. They were so good and we're ready when I ordered it. I was a huge fan of this pastry/snack and I look forward to going back again it is in Pier 39. Not too far from the Alcatraz tour pier.

Annaleigh M.

Yelp
Warm mini donuts! Got half plain, half cinnamon sugar and both were great. Crispy outside, warm soft inside ... what could you ask for! Pier 39 staple. They come in options of 6,12,24, or buckets for parties of all sizes. Coffee was a basic black coffee with a splash of milk. Perfect donut pairing!

Denise C.

Yelp
Hi Trish! How are you? Thanks for the mini donuts. It was fun and old-timey. A tad bit more than I like to pay for cake donuts. Also, watch your diet at Pier 39. Fun experience. Connected to The Hook too.

Luisa D.

Yelp
The BEST!!! So delicious A friend of mine told me about this place. I went to San Fran for a concert, and wasn't planning on going to pier 39 but ended up going and I do not regret it!!

Juan V.

Yelp
I found this place in the middle of Pier 39. It is great to see some fresh made donuts in front of my eyes. The donuts are delicious fresh and warm. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a fresh made donut ready to eat.

Brenda L.

Yelp
Did you really go to Pier 39 if you didn't get Trish's Mini Donuts? These mini donuts are hot, fresh, and extremely addicting! They're coated in a cinnamon sugar and are always warm and fluffy. Perfect for sharing with large groups (or better yet, eat a whole bucket for yourself)! For their prices: 6 mini donuts - $5 12 mini donuts - $8 24 mini donuts - $13 36 mini donuts in a bucket - $18 120 mini donuts in a tub - $85 Prices are pretty reasonable for the touristy hotspot and location they're in. Service is quick and easy - well worth the visit!

Frida O.

Yelp
THE BEST MINI DONUTS EVER! Every time we visit Pier 39 we stop by for some of these mini donuts. The line can get lengthy but they are quick! Definitely worth stopping if you are in the mood for a desert.

Kwok T.

Yelp
The coffee and warm donuts hit the spot when we went on the most windy day yesterday. We only ordered a small pack of donuts afraid that they wouldn't be good plus we were about to have lunch. We should ordered a bucket instead since they were good.

Candace L.

Yelp
Love the fresh, warm, cinnamon mini donuts! Always a MUST when we go to the wharf. Definitely make sure to give them a try!

Michelle A.

Yelp
Fast and quick service! Donuts come out fresh and you can have cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top--or not. Simply good! You can get it in small bags of 6... or get buckets or literal tubs of these mini donuts!

Averell C.

Yelp
Great tasting and fun donuts. Ordered the 12 count which could be eaten by 1 person or shared with 2. Totally recommend to snack on them while walking down the boardwalk.

Gustavo F.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick snack, and it was delicious! I highly recommend you stop by, especially when its cold, those mini donuts will warm you up.

Heying D.

Yelp
I just can't get enough of them. These little donuts are so addictive. They're incredibly soft and pillowy and not overly sweet nor greasy. I love the atmosphere at the Pier and strolling along eating these mini donuts is the perfect thing to do. It is touristy, but it has also become an institution and I come here whenever I'm close to the Pier. And, of course, I had to bring some home!

Justin N.

Yelp
A MUST VISIT. It's actually not too expensive but the donuts were sooooo good that we had to go back and get a second order of them. You might even be able to skip lunch as you'll just scarf down too many donuts if you stop by here.

Kevin S.

Yelp
Trish's Donuts have been a staple of Pier 39 for YEARS. I remember being in high school, taking the ferry over the city with friends, and grabbing a bag of these donuts for the ride home. They're served up hot, fresh, and powdered with just the right amount of brown sugar. The only real negative I can say is the price for these is out there. These donuts are super small and you'll pay $8 bucks for 12. That's my only complaint. They are worth the price, but much like everything else on Pier 39, you're going to pay a premium for these.

Adam C.

Yelp
A trip to Pier 39 just isn't complete with buying these yummy little doughnuts to snack on! Mom and I got the cute novelty bucket and weren't sure we could eat the 36 that came with it, but we devoured them all in about 10 minutes as we walked along the pier! The doughnuts were made in front of us, so they were hot and fresh when we started eating them, plus the hearty amount of cinnamon sugar on top coupled with them being small enough to eat in a single bite made them addicting as hell! They were also super light and airy which is another reason I think it was so easy to just keep shoveling them in our mouths. We were so glad we got the bucket! 10/10, it's a must stop if you're doing the tourist thing at the pier.

Alaric S.

Yelp
Trish's mini donuts are pretty good especially if you're a tourist in San Francisco! Their donuts are hot and fresh! The only thing I didn't like about Trish's mini donuts is that they don't take Apple Pay

Mster M.

Yelp
I give them a 4 , my friend gives them a 3 He said there isn't anything special , but they are made fresh. I like the cinnamon sugar spread they put on them. They're always really busy long lines.

Angellica S.

Yelp
Walking around pier 39 and need a snack or dessert? Trish's Mini Donuts is the place to be!!! For some reason, tiny donuts always taste better than normal sized ones. Their warm and slightly crispy on the outside with some sprinkled sugar, and perfectly moist on the inside. Ordered 36 in a bucket for $18 - it's a souvenir bucket the kids can play with afterwards. This was the perfect amount to share amongst three adults and two kids. The bucket is great to take home to wash and let the kids play with it or hold their toys!

Angelina P.

Yelp
Trish's Mini Donuts is a HUGE staple when it comes to visiting San Francisco and Pier 39. Anytime I come to visit, I always make sure to get some donuts whether it be the bucket or a small amount! Either way, they are delicious and super fresh! The cinnamon sugar is the perfect amount each time and is not TOO TOO sweet if you get what I am saying since they are donuts haha. They are warm and crispy when they come out of the oil and they are so fluffy and decadent on the inside!

Jay P.

Yelp
Perfect soft and warm bite-sized donuts, often shows up on "SF best donuts list" and placed #36 for the top 50 donuts in the US in 2017. Trish Conklin is a descendent from an illustrious "carnie" family and brought their mini-donut recipe to Pier 39 25 years ago. It's why they have a cute Conklin family clown logo on some of their graphics. The donuts are slightly undercooked making them soft and easy to eat and coated in a nice crunchy layer of sugar and cinnamon. If you like the inner soft part of a Churro it's like that but less chewy and dense. The are mini so you can easily eat an entire donut in one bite. They offer different size containers which come with different amount of donuts, for 3 people we like getting a dozen because we all get enough to enjoy it and crave a little more instead of the bucket where we would definitely get sick of them. Best enjoyed fresh, they are a great little muncher/snacker while waiting in line or walking around the pier. The worst part of this donut shop is the location, it is always slammed on weekends and parking is a hassle if you are coming only for the donuts.

Sunny S.

Yelp
I cannot resist the smell and taste of these mini doughnuts while taking in Pier 39. I wish they have discount specials...

Sharon N.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and follow the amazing smell and buy yourself a bucket of fresh mini donuts! Its tradition. Whenever we are at Pier 39, it's a give. That and getting some soup at Boudins.

Allison H.

Yelp
Every time I come to the pier, I have to get these donuts! They are super addicting! They are always fresh, smell so good and they are so fun to eat! They are always hot in temperature and the sugar coating makes them extra delicious! The more you buy, the cheaper the cost. I usually get the bucket to share with my friends but I was too stuffed after dinner to eat a bucket of them. I still had to get a small bag to satisfy my dessert craving before leaving the pier. I recommend coming here to purchase these donuts. They are delicious and fun to snack on while walking around the pier!

Henry W.

Yelp
I recently visited this donut shop while I was at the wharf, but upon trying their donuts, I couldn't help feeling underwhelmed. While the shop itself was a popular tourist attraction and had been around for quite some time, the donuts themselves were just alright. They tasted more like oil than an actual donut, which was a bit disappointing. However, one thing that was cool to see was the small donuts being made by a machine. Watching the process was definitely a highlight of my visit, and it's not something you see every day. Overall, I'm not sure I would recommend this shop to others solely for the donuts. But if you're in the area and interested in seeing a tourist attraction, then it might be worth stopping by.

Mike B.

Yelp
These are mini-donuts and they are great. Don't overthink it. Each one is a bite or two of greasy deep fried goodness. You can have them with cinnamon sugar if you want. (And you should.) They're the best thing about the tourist wasteland of Pier 39. With all of that said... The negative reviews here seem to have a shocking degree of misunderstanding of how a mini-donut stand operates. So let me clear it all up. If you ask for two dozen donuts split into two bags, they will charge you the price for two individual dozens. It's more expensive. They won't hide that from you. So decide in advance if it's worth an extra $3 for a second bag or if you can just share. On a related note, if you scream about being overcharged, you might get some money back, but no one else in line will appreciate you. If there is a sign up that notes they are temporarily "Cash Only" because of a cash register problem, and you actually have enough cash, and pay with that cash, they will probably not apologize that you could not see the two signs saying that they are only accepting cash. Because you had the cash and had no problem paying with it. They don't serve maple syrup or sprinkles and never hint that they do. If you show up expecting maple syrup and sprinkles you will definitely be disappointed. Yes, they will probably ignore you if you try to order chicken fingers and fries... because they only sell donuts and coffee. If you take the donuts home, eat them, then call to complain that you didn't like them, they will probably offer to give you fresh donuts if you come back. But they won't refund your money for donuts you already ate. And, most importantly, if you don't like donuts, you probably won't like these donuts. Because you don't like donuts.
