The 38 Best Restaurants in New Delhi, India | Eater

"Price Range: $$ Located inside one of Delhi’s independent art centers, Triveni transforms the roadside chai tradition into a sit-down space. The casual cafe offers classic Indian snacks like masala cheese toast — a sandwich stuffed with onions, garlic, tomatoes, and cheese — and West Indian sabudana khichdi, a cool, lightly spiced snack made from tapioca and peanuts. In Delhi’s scorching summers, Triveni’s version of masala chaas (a thin, spiced yogurt drink) is a respite from the heat. Vibe check: Artists, potters, and dancers come together here over steaming cups and small bites." - Sharanya Deepak

The 12 Best Chaat Vendors in New Delhi | Eater

"It seems absurd to recommend a chaat dish that is eaten sitting down, but even the residents of Delhi sometimes need a moment of rest. Triveni, a cafe that operates in an art gallery in central Delhi, serves some of the city’s best palak patta chaat. Leaves of spinach are coated in besan or gram flour, fried into fritters, and topped with yogurt, mint, and tamarind chutneys, chopped onions, and sev (small pieces of spiced crunchy noodle-like snacks made from fried chickpea flour). Palak patta chaat is a classic Delhi favorite, though it hasn’t caught hold as tightly among younger generations, and it could soon begin disappearing. Triveni’s version is a perfect tea-time snack, and it goes especially well with chai." - Sharanya Deepak

Triveni Terrace Café is a serene escape in the heart of Delhi, offering a peaceful and artistic ambience that easily earns a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating. It’s the perfect place to relax with a book or catch up with friends in a calm, open-air setting. The food is fresh and flavorful, deserving a solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐, with a good variety of healthy and classic options. However, the service is a major letdown — slow, inattentive, and lacking coordination, which takes away from the overall experience. Worth visiting for the vibe, but don’t go in a rush.

A good place to have meals. Generally there is a waiting period. Food was good. The price is decent, not cheap. The atmosphere is good. Worth a visit. Their palak patta chhat was ok. Cutlets were good. Himachali bhature were very good.

The atmosphere inside the cafe is very beautiful and decorated. The food and drink options are very good, but the prices are a bit high. The service is excellent, and I'll definitely go back there.

This cafe is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for a delightful culinary experience. I recently had the pleasure of dining there, and the food, ambiance, and service were all exceptional. The Palak Patta Chaat is truly a must-try. The crispy spinach leaves provide a perfect base for the medley of sweet and tangy chutneys, yogurt, and spices, creating a burst of flavor with every bite. It's a dish that perfectly balances texture and taste, and it's no surprise that it's one of their standout items. Another highlight was the Mushroom Tikki. Unlike the usual potato-based tikkis, this version is rich with the earthy flavor of mushrooms, perfectly spiced and pan-seared to a beautiful golden brown. It's a savory and satisfying appetizer that pairs wonderfully with the rest of the menu. To complement the food, I highly recommend their kombucha. The Strawberry and Love flavor is particularly fantastic. It's a refreshing and effervescent drink with a wonderful fruity sweetness that isn't overpowering. It's the perfect light and healthy beverage to cut through the richness of the food and cleanse your palate. Overall, this cafe is a true find.

No doubt - a lovely place to sit in silence and green. A bit expensive for the food that's not special in any way. And by the way, terrace here is on the ground floor lawns. Seating area both indoors and out available

Nice place for art. Keep an eye on ongoing events. Food is really nice. Bit expensive but well worth the cost based on location and ambience. You are not allowed to use laptop inside the cafe. I liked stuffed idli and gun powder idly. All other options I tried were also delicious. Always a waiting there usually more in lunch and evening hours. Very near to Bengali market. Washrooms are clean and are on first floor.

After waiting a long time to finally visit Triveni Café in Mandi House, I can confidently say it was worth it. Known as a cultural hub for art lovers, the café carries a charm that immediately feels different from the usual Delhi cafés. I tried the Ragi Idli paired with a Cappuccino, and it did not disappoint. The idlis were light, wholesome, and perfectly complemented by the chutneys, while the cappuccino was smooth and balanced—just the right companion for a slow afternoon. What makes this place stand out is not only the food but also the vibe it creates—serene, artistic, and reflective of Delhi’s creative pulse. I love the fact that we have something like this right in the heart of Mandi House. The staff was welcoming, polite, and helpful. With a bit more attentiveness and professionalism, the service could easily match the café’s excellent reputation. Overall, I left without a single complaint and plenty of curiosity to return. There’s so much more on the menu that I look forward to exploring. Triveni Café isn’t just a spot to eat—it’s a place to experience.
