"Fortunately for locals and out-of-towners, Ephraim is home to another top-notch wine bar: Trixie’s, an idyllic sister spot to Wickman House in Ellison Bay. Knowledgeable staff provide thoughtful guidance for navigating the wine list, which emphasizes offerings from women winemakers, plus a menu of fresh pastas, spring vegetables, and more." - Naomi Waxman

This place is the best restaurant in Door County! We’ve visited twice now, and always received top notch, friendly staff and amazing food. When you’re in town or live locally, this is one place you really need to go to hands down. Everyone needs to experience the food they’re putting out. We’ve personally met the chef Cooper, and Em. Owen from the front of the house, and Kayla the bartender. Everyone was very personable, and does an outstanding job. This place is a staple for our Door County visits! We love the atmosphere and diverse, creative dishes.

Google
What a Great LITTLE find. Very small dinning room. Nice wine bar, eclectic menu, VERY well done. Trixie's does not take reservations so you just go early and stand in line to see if you get in for the 1st seating. If you don't make the cut don't worry, get on the list and go have a glass of wine down the street they will text you when your table is ready. Atmosphere, service and food is great.

Google
Dinning at Trixie’s has far exceeded our expectations. First of all, the food is exceptional. Definitely, the best in all of Door County. Although everything was great, I highly recommend the Chicken confit 🤤. I want to also recognize the amazing service we received from the front and the back of the house. Kayla, our bartender/server was very knowledgeable, hospitable, and took great care of us. Also, Cooper and Em from the kitchen staff worked so cohesively together, creating perfectly balanced, delicious dishes, but also being super friendly and hospitable (working in such a small place!) My Fiancé and I have been to Michelin Starred restaurants all over the world, and I truly believe this gem deserves a star based on the food and service we received. It’s a small restaurant with limited seating, so I highly recommend going early. We got there around 6:30, and was one of the last reservations put on the list for the night because of the high demand. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to return!

Google
This was our second time coming here, and each time we are blown away at the food and service. Food is creative, yet simple. They also have a small patio out front to enjoy a beautiful Door County evening. The restaurant fills up quickly, and does not take reservations, but it is without question worth the wait!

Google
A Door County delight in Ephraim. We shared the saganaki, green gazpacho, battered green onions, couscous, and the pasta of the day which was a ricotta gnocchi with fennel sausage crumble. The tempura battered green onions were my favourite of the meal. Perfectly crisp and seasoned and a hefty portion; incredible. Small plates and impressively researched and sourced wines make for a wonderful experience. They don’t take reservations so it’s vital to arrive well before opening if you wish to dine in the first seating at 5 pm as we did.

Google
Food was amazing. My wife and I had the Citrus and Bitters Salad, Gnocci De Jour, Whitefish Fettuccine, and Mushrooms. Bridgette, our server was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Wickman and Trixies are must stops to anyone visiting DoCo.

Google
Outrageous! Such an incredibly delicious meal. Gillian, our server, was positively amazing - so attentive, informative and kind. This was our first time here, but based on this experience, it’s already become a favorite. For best seating, arrive about 4:15 or 4:30, enjoy a drink at one of the neighboring businesses, and keep an eye on the front door. When you see a line beginning to form, head on over and your almost guaranteed a place for the 5:00 seating. Otherwise, you’ll be added to a wait list for the 6:30 or 8:00 seatings. Either way, it’s well worth the wait! Highly recommend!

Everything was amazing! I definitely recommend the poutine crusted mushrooms and the Braised Short Rib. They also had complimentary bread (with oil) which is always amazing! Definitely recommend it!

Yelp
Absolutely lovely restaurant! One of Door County's best hidden gems. The ambiance is like no other place I've been, tiny and cozy, the decor is stunning, yet minimalistic! Service is incredible, incredibly kind staff. The food is incredibly creative and delicious, I've never had anything like it. Everything is locally sourced, they even have their own garden. If you're able, you must come here at least once. We come back every time we're in door County (no reservations so show up an hour before they open to guarantee a table!)

Yelp
A tiny restaurant in Ephram serving globally inspired dishes under the direction of owner Mike and manager Owen that is one of the best dining experiences in the area. However, dining here requires a planning and foresight. With only a handful of tables, they don't take reservations, which means people start lining up at least an hour prior to their 5 pm daily opening time-be polite no line jumping-and your entire group must be present. At 5 they open the door and start filling the tables first come first served. Once the tables are full (30-40 patrons) names and numbers are taken for a "second seating" once the original diners finish up. Depending on how fast people eat, and size of their group, 1-2 hours is typical. The small menu and excellent wine list featured seasonal salads, pastas and even a short rib the Monday night we dined there and we enjoyed the food and especially chatting up owner Mike a Wisconsin native back from a bunch of years in Brooklyn. Given the small size of the place, it's not really a spot for a big group. We were six which fit perfectly in one of the four large outside tables. We had a memorable evening thanks to server Sara and the other staff. It's a tough situation when the entire restaurant fills instantly all at once so come in, relax and enjoy the amazing weather in door county. You won't be disappointed. Recommended.

Yelp
This is the best reservation in Door county... In our humble opinion. Come an hour early if you want to get in phase 1 seating. We did, and we still got counter seats, but no complaints. The food is very unique and very tasty! I tried the chicken confit and could not finish it! Definitely had plenty to take home. My husband tried the short rib, and it was very tasty. Loved this little gem and definitely worth the wait!

Kaitlynn M.

Yelp
Trixie's came highly recommended as a place to eat when traveling up to Door County. It is a bit of a drive if you are staying closer to the Sturgeon Bay area, but visiting Ephraim is definitely worth it. The town itself is probably one of the prettiest in Door County and Trixie's is right in the heart of it! As other reviewers named, there are no reservations accepted so they take names on a first come-first served basis. I had my husband put our name in on a Sunday night around 5:30 and we were seated around 6. The wait flew by! We let the host/owner know that we were willing to sit inside, outside or at the bar (so if you want to expedite your wait time, do this!). The inside is small but comfortable (you are not on top of your neighbors) and service is attentive. It is a very chic little spot! They have many unique wines but they do not sell/serve hard alcohol. This is a rule by the town, not Trixie's. The food that we got was good but not my favorite meal in Door County, which is why I gave it four stars. We had the mussels, a tomato salad and another salad, but I can't quite remember what was all in it. I think that next time I would go for the pasta. I heard that is delicious! But the menu changes often so you never know exactly what you are going to get!

Yelp
Best meal we had while visiting Door County! The experience from start to finish was amazing. The food is innovative, creative, and delectable. The ingredients are all sourced locally and the menu is constantly changing since seasonality is a big factor for the dishes served. The menu is simplified with the food listed on one page including shared plates and mains. For food we ordered the Citrus & Bitters salad, Chicken Confit, and Trixie's Sujuk. Every single dish was delicious and inventive. The Citrus and Bitters salad is one of the best salads I've had and included a mixture of ingredients such as grilled radicchio, endive, coffee hazelnut granola, blood orange vinaigrette. Not sure if this is a seasonal dish but would order this salad every single time! For the mains the chicken confit stood out with the roasted red pepper hummus, dates, and harissa honey glaze. The Trixie Sujuk was also delicious and had interesting flavors of ground beef, garlic yogurt orzo, wild rice, dried fruits & seeds. There is a great variety of wine selection and female winemakers are also featured in the menu! Trixie has a modern yet minimalist feel for the ambiance. It is a relatively small space but the décor & color themes all tie together and adds on a modern charm. Unfortunately, no reservations can be made but luckily when we dined on a Sunday evening, there was hardly any wait and we were able to get seated right away. The staff was great, our server recommended a good variety of dishes and wine. I'm so glad our hotel host recommended to dine here at Trixie's. I would definitely come back and with the evolving seasonal menu, there's always a new dish to look forward to!

Paige N.

Yelp
Very weird concept - have to get there at 4:30 and wait in line to try to get a table. Got in the second wave so we ate inside around 6:40. It was delish! The gnocchi was amazing - it was the special with ricotta gnocchi, sausage, tomatoes, white wine and capers

Mary T.

Yelp
It's worth the time to get in line for a dining experience at Trixie's! Our dinner was delicious! Short ribs & whitefish did not disappoint! Try an appetizer, and save room for dessert! Everything and everyone is there to insure you have a fantastic experience! Sit at the bar and get a chance to chat with the owners! This little gem is a perfect way to celebrate Door County!

Yelp
I feel like this review is going to be controversial because of how much I have heard people say they love Trixie's. I wish my experience had been better, but what I found at this restaurant was just average. First of all, they don't take reservations which is inconvenient especially when you have a larger group. Next, we got seated at 8pm outside which was fine until about 9pm when it got super dark and they do not have any lights outside. So we were basically like eating in the dark. They brought us some fake candle lantern things but those were drawing so many bugs with the light piercing through the dark. It was not a good experience at all. If you are going to sit people outside at 8pm and know that the sun will go down very soon, you better have some sort of a plan for them to be able to eat outside then! Circumstances like these are never my main concern at a restaurant - I care more about knowing how the food is. The food at Trixie's was also unfortunately a let down for me. The chicken parm was the only thing that was good. The cacio e Pepe was bland and boring. The portion sizes all around were pretty small, and the prices were not super reasonable. I definitely don't understand the hype of this place and I won't be back.

Angela J.

Yelp
Two years later, we're still talking about Trixie's as one of our best dining experiences ever! We live in the Minneapolis area and have also lived in Copenhagen, so we have been to some pretty amazing restaurants, but the intimate setting at Trixie's and the phenomenal food and wine made an impression. We can't wait to go back!

Chad F.

Yelp
Amazing menu, attentive service, and great vibe. Also, appreciate that it's no reso / first come first served.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Owen is such a great addition to the restaurant. He makes you feel like you're dining at his home. Always rounding and checking in. Not in an intrusive way. He's also very entertaining. Waitstaff are exceptional: prompt, communicative, not overly chatty, genuine. The food: fresh, delicious, unique, portions are solid. I dig the "no reservation" line up. Makes me feel like a little cow coming in from the pasture and I like it. Moo.

Abby H.

Yelp
Ohhh we so wanted to love Trixies!! Would definitely give the food / plating 5/5, but the ambiance was a huge issue. From the moment we walked in (to a place that doesn't take reservations) and the host rudely made it seem like we were an inconvenience for requesting a table for 3, it just didn't set the right tone. It felt like we were asking for him to squeeze us in (...to a place that doesn't take reservations). Just did not feel welcome at all. We were told ~45 minutes and gladly waiting across the street at Pearl Wine Cottage (totally recommend, btw). We were seated in about 45 minutes, which is fine as we did expect a wait. The food was wonderful but hard to see much of the plating while sitting outside. Great server. Overall, just felt pretentious and unwelcoming from all the host interactions. Wanted to love it, and I'm sure it could have been different, but the host really didn't set a great tone for the experience.

Lindsey L.

Yelp
Food was superb. Service, phenomenal. Can't wait to come back next summer! Hope it will be the same with Whickman house ownership change

Rebecca W.

Yelp
This place was phenomenal! Beautiful atmosphere, kind, welcoming, and super knowledgeable staff. I am gluten and dairy free and there were so many delicious options for me. It was perfect for a date night.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Awesome food and service! We were treated like royalty! Highly recommend but get there early there is limited seating

Graham D.

Yelp
Amazing place!!!! Owen is always a pleasure to see, as are the other staff members, and while the menu is a bit eclectic, all of the offerings bring something unique to the table (pun intended). The wine list is out of this world too

Marilyn W.

Yelp
Wonderful meal. Worth the treat. Impeccable service. The gnocchi was in a dreamy tomato sauce. The whitefish was "stomp your foot fragnabbit" delicious. It was wonderful to be able to try wines before selecting a bottle. Now, Door County government officials: What are you going to do about balancing short term rental opportunities with the needs of your long term residents and those who support the amazing hospitality and tourism industry such as those who work at Trixie's? Wouldn't it be nice if alll the lovely restaurants were open and fully staffed? Wouldn't that be great for business in the area?

Allison C.

Yelp
Amazing place! Amazing host. Loved all of the foods here we had the ricotta bread, pasta with fish, and braise short rib and WOW OMG out of my mind. BEST restaurant in Door County! Super cute decor and would come back for a girls night out

Peter G.

Yelp
We stumbled on this place after being unable to get a reservation or walk in to any other place nearby. What luck! Everything we had was absolutely magnificent -- and our group of six tried just about everything on the menu. We have eaten in all of the major "foodie centers" in the US and elsewhere, and this is easily comparable. We were astonished that something this good is in Sister Bay, tucked away down an alley, no less!

Kevin R.

Yelp
Fantastic menu and flavors, intimate service and generous portions - wish this place was where I lived! We will be back!

Ruth C.

Yelp
Very creative menu, but the wait is kind of "Oof!" The Shaved Root Salad was fanTAStic. I thought the Cacio e Pepe was a little too tangy. Wonderful service. We will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

Katherine W.

Yelp
Ate here with a party of 3 and found the food, service and ambience and decor at this little spot to be top-notch. Part or all of our party had found it impossible to get in here on two previous attempts, but on Sunday evening, hoping to eat around 7:30 or 8, we planned ahead. We stopped by around 5:45 as we rolled into town and were able to secure an 8 pm spot. Trixie's did not disappoint. One of the most memorable meals I've had in years. Menu is small but everything we ordered (asparagus app, pasta, chicken and trout) was creatively and perfectly prepared.

Tenzin P.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Owen and staff took especially good care of us and cooked some great meals. The Parmesan chicken with asparagus is DELICIOUS - the sauce is simmered to perfection and the asparagus is on a whole different level! The gnocchi was great as well. Honestly... no complaints, only delightful feelings, and a happy stomach. Love this place!

Ed M.

Yelp
One of my top 3 places in DC. Very high quality and great service. Nice farm to table and a nice female chef and female wine maker focus. Only issue is a lot of people have discovered trixies. It is a small place. Get there early and get your name in (no advance reservation) for a table. Best for 6 or less people. Hard for them to accommodate bigger groups. (6 can been done outside) Pearl wine bar is across street and you get get a glass (or bottle) while you wait.

Jeff H.

Yelp
We just finished a fantastic experience at Trixies. First off the food is ridiculously delicious. We had the gnocchi and the whitefish linguine. Both were masterfully done. Can't recommend them high enough. We ended up seated at the bar and had a great conversation and service with our server. She recommended the perfect wine and was a great conversationalist. The manager stopped by a couple of times as well. We split a salad, which I would recommend. We also split the bread pudding dessert. We love several restaurants in Door County, but Trixies May now be at the top of the list. They do not accept reservations so check their website or online reviews for how to get in. We stopped by around 5:45 on Sunday to put our name in for their second seating. We then hung around the Ephraim Bay and did get in about 6:45. This is a small place but they take care very good care of you. We loved it and will most definitely be back.

Vicki A.

Yelp
We stopped in here while we were waiting to go on a sailing cruise. We walked in and sat at the bar and ordered a cherry cider. The waiter/bartender was such a nice man. So helpful with the menu and explaining of each item to choose from. We had eaten prior to arriving in the area so we weren't hungry, but from what we saw being delivered to all the tables we were impressed. We will definitely be back to try. The ambiance when we returned after our cruise was also great.

Joan J.

Yelp
Friends of ours highly recommended Trixie's. And, Trixie's did not disappoint. They have a small, eclectic menu which matched our adventuresome tastes. The menu descriptions are quite brief and underplay the complexities and balanced flavors of the dishes we enjoyed. My husband and I shared the shaved root salad, chicken confit, and the gnocchi du jour. Each of these dishes were stellar, unique interpretations by the chef and would receive great ratings if matched against fine dining establishments in big cities. For dessert we had a dressed up panna cotta which was very good, but it fell a little short of the quality of the other dishes as did the coffee. The wine list was well curated and provided many options by the glass and bottle which paired well with the menu options. The staff is well trained, knowledgeable, pleasant, and provided polished service. And, the business is well managed. Sadly, but understandably, they do not accept reservations and the demand often exceeds their limited seating. But, they have an organized system of seatings with a wait list. This restaurant is a special treat, but don't wait for a special occasion--celebrate and savor the day with a memorable meal.

Heather W.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is amazing! The service, food, wine and atmosphere. We love you Owen! We were lucky to get a seat at the bar for my sister-in-law's birthday celebration over Labor Day weekend. This was by far our favorite restaurant from the entire weekend. Cannot wait to go back.

Dani L.

Yelp
This place is a winner. Amazing service, food, and atmosphere- you must stop. We came here in July. First- let's start with the atmosphere- it's crip and clean, yet homey. The accents are pink and exude a feminine touch. It's a small place with very limited seating and your close to the tables next to you. It can get a bit noisy. MAKE A RESERVATION!! This place will fill up every night in peak season. We started our evening sitting outside, but when a thunderstorm rolled in, our server kindly was able to move us inside. Then the service- our server was extremely knowledgeable. I had several questions about the wine and pairing it with various dishes and she knocked it out of the park with her recommendations. The wine list is great- and it even acknowledges which wines are from female made, organic or sustain. She also made sure to ask if we had any dietary restrictions (I'm a vegetarian). Then there's the food... oh my. The menu is ever changing, highlighting the foods that are in season. They also use many local farmers so your food is incredibly fresh. The plates are smaller, making them great for sharing. The chef is creative, using what is in season, and every bite is exquisite.

Sally N.

Yelp
I am always looking for new ways to eat more veggies so the hearty greens dish and a dish of slaw style fennel with dried berries and toasted nuts were a must. Even if you don't go for veggies normally, please try them here. They were awesome!!! We split the gnocchi of the day and it was also wonderful. Bread and a oil/balsamic dip came first and it was delicious. Unpretentious yet refined. Home run :)

Lam D.

Yelp
So excited, We came in and the guy said they were full, and the waiting list was 1h30, and they don't take reservation!?! We came in the next day at 5pm, and the wait was 1h45. We prepared for it so we went to Peninsula park for some sightseeing. While inside the park, my husband still had to keep checking the waiting list to make sure we wouldn't miss it. And while on #4 on the list, suddenly we got the text saying our table was ready. It was just 6pm. So we had to give up on the park and drove back to the restaurant. So our "table" turned out to be on the bar. When we asked for "a table for 2", we really meant "table". Not at the bar. No AC btw,so it was hot in there. Very uncomfortable. My husband wanted to leave but i convinced him to try out the food bc of the hyped up reviews. Fortunately, we only ordered the chicken liver pate. After a taste, we both agreed to ask for the check and run away as fast as we could. The after taste was bad, the bread was super oily, $15 for that appetizer. The whole experience was horrible. Please, SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND DIGNITY, there are sooo many nice restaurants in the area that you can make reservations, know exactly what time you can eat, what time you can go enjoy the vacation. For freaking Jesus' sake, it should be an enjoyable vacation dinner, not a crazy DMV visit in which you are assigned a number and wait forever to be served. You can't even pick indoor /outdoor /table/bar/ maybe one day on the floor. Who knows. So overhyped and overpriced "restaurant" with a one-of-a-kind waiting list system. PASS.

Genevieve K.

Yelp
A limited and interesting menu that won't disappoint! An extensive wine list that has to satisfy anyone's tastes. A friendly and knowledgeable wait staff that made you want to order everything! You will want to make reservations (the 7 person bar seating is first come-first served) as this is a SMALL restaurant - maybe 4-5 tables) but we enjoyed each of our menu choices. And just be advised, our cost per person was $40 (included tax and tip) so you may want to make it a special visit. Only annoyance was that the piped in music was too loud for such a small place.

Stan R.

Yelp
Kind of tucked away from main road. Not a lot of seating. But once there...Great service. Awesome Comfort food. I'll be back!

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Trixie's was everything we had hoped for and more. Attentive staff, a great seating process for a tiny space, and the chef's attention to detail were all superb. Not a single so-so bite: we had the saganaki and chicken liver mousse -- we got the mousse on a sort of "why the hell not, we're on a fancy date night" dare and it was our favorite it's em of the night -- for starters. I had the whitefish (stunningly good) and he had the chicken parm (juicy, well-cooked and seasoned). Neighboring table had the gnocchi of the day and it looked insanely good. Thanks Trixie's!

David R.

Yelp
The short ribs were a "5", but the chicken was a "3". We were the first seating, along with 18 others. Our wine came in 5 minutes, and our food came five minutes later. Only had time for a sip of wine. Obviously the food was pre-cooked. I get that, but give us a little while to enjoy the wine. The only advantage in being served fast was that we didn't have sit on those awful bar stools for very long! PLEASE consider replacing them.

Curtis R.

Yelp
Great spot, open during covidronadisaster! Delicious vegetarian and meat dishes with delightful wine pairings. Love the sparkling Italian wine and squash salad, and especially the boglenese! Service was superb, say hello to Anna our waitress!

Ellie J.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow. This was such a lucky find! A friend had recommended Wickman House for dinner during my recent Door County stay. We looked them up, and weren't able to get a reservation, but their website mentioned their new little sister, Trixie's, so we gave it a shot. Both I and my dining partner were blown away. I got the chilled noodle dish, and every part of it was perfectly balanced and delightfully tasty. Perfectly sized portion, beautiful presentation, perfectly prepared and so fun to eat. My partner got a special, cast-iron fried whitefish with cornmeal breading and vegetables. Both dishes were perfect. On top of the food being great, the look/feel of this place is outstanding. Modern, fresh, airy, comfy. Lots of white, metallic accents, blush tones. A lot of thought went into this space, and it shows. And the staff was delightful, too! Our server was very friendly without being imposing -- just wonderful, and helpful. A+. I wish I could give this place six stars. I'll be back!

Carol S.

Yelp
Rightfully it was jamming! Superb food, limited menu, but something for everyone. Terrific wine choices. So glad I read previous reviews!

Billy G.

Yelp
Damn Trixies. That Chicken Sandwich made my weekend. I also stole my wife's veggie sandwich. So good.

Erika B.

Yelp
Absolutely one of our favorite spots in DoCo. Always a unique seasonal food and wine menu, smiling faces, great service and the vibe is super cool. Get there early, the waitlist fills up fast! Fortunately Pearl wine bar next door is the perfect place to wait for your table. Note that Trixie's is one of only a handful of restaurants open on Monday nights.

Therese B.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. Service and communication was top notch and food was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed everything from the short rib to the cacio e Pepe and our chocolate tart for dessert. We will be back. Jillian and Owen provided us with a wonderful experience and it was a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary.

Emma F.

Yelp
Trixie's was the best place I had eaten in door county area!!! The service- especially our warm and smiley waitress, Mackenzie- was exceptional and the food amazing too!!! If you are in the area you have to check out this spot.

Monica C.

Yelp
This restaurant was super quaint and trendy. Small, but seating at the bar and outside. You are served tap water without ice and on the boiling hot day we went, ice would have been nice. However, the service and food was excellent. We ordered the saganaki to start (fried cheese and toasted baguette topped with gremolata) and it was excellent! We then ordered our entrees which were the cacio e pepe (black pepper house made spaghetti in a delicious butter cream sauce) and the whitefish du jour. the presentation was gorgeous and the flavors were incredible. We liked that the vegetables and flowers in the dishes were local. Plates are on the smaller size. Overall, we really enjoyed the uniqueness of the dishes and the way the flavors melded together! Highly recommend this place!

Andrea C.

Yelp
This is such a lovely restaurant. The decor has a beautiful color scheme. The landscaping is lovely, luscious purple leaves, brightly colored pink blossoms and romantic grasses lightly brush up against the airy white building. We had five couses, each one tantalizing and enjoyable. First, the salad had a light dressing so delicious perhaps a light hint of tahini akd tarragon in the dressing? The vegetables were fresh and locally grown. Then, a deliciously sauced block of cheese of which I cannot remember the name came to our table on fire, but in traditional flame style, just a nice light flame adding the right bit of ambiance. The bread accompanying it was perfectly proportioned allowing us to continue on to another delicious tasting. Next, we sampled the white fish croquet. It was lightly fried. The spices were perfectly hot and salted bring out the flavor of the fish. Next, we had the cacio e Pepe. The light lemony sauce was the perfect accompaniment to the fish. Lastly, we topped it off with the olive oil cake, such a beautiful desert with a little sweet, a little spicy, bright and crisp apples on the side.

Punkaj G.

Yelp
What a wonderful dinner, service and atmosphere! I'm a stickler for good service, and these ladies here sure delivered! My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous night out without kids and splurged on our dinner. We started the night with a lovely glass of Rose that our server graciously let us taste prior to ordering. We went with 5 small plates that were all amazing! Salmon Crudo - special that night, definitely our favorite dish of the night Salad special with so many interesting flavors and vegetables Som Tuk - their spin on the papaya salad but with cellophane noodles instead of papaya...amazing! Saganaki - perfectly charred Cacio Pepe spaghetti - noodles were al dente and the sauce simply but flavorful We never order two desserts but since everything was so amazing we just ended the night on a splurge with the lemon tart and the flourless chocolate cake. Both great! So happy we ate here!

Jose T.

Yelp
What a night! 10 o'clock reservations for New Year's eve. Enjoyed an OUTSTANDING 8 course dinner with wine pairings. What a culinary adventure! This was the 2nd time at Trixie's for me & my wife. The staff is very friendly & accommodating.

Yelp
I arrived with my mother at 5:00, had a drink at the bar and was seated within 15 minutes. We each ordered a glass of wine, ceviche, and lamb meatballs. The ceviche came after about twenty minutes and was outstanding. We then waited and waited as the restaurant filled. The table of locals next to us who arrived at our 30 min mark was served drinks, several tapas, dessert and more drinks and still no meatballs. Our waitress did not look at or talk to us as she focused on the patrons she knew. We stood up to leave at 6:45 and then came the waitress with the meatballs. We asked they be packed to go, paid, and we're so mad that we forgot to take the meatballs! I bet they were great too. Very hip decor and music and great food. Just don't go hungry, wear dressy casual, and plan to wait for service :)

Yelp
Trixie's succeeds at being both sweet and sophisticated. Charming atmosphere, thoughtful and friendly staff and flavor-forward seasonal menu. A gem tucked in the heart of historic Ephraim and a must for any trip to Door County.

Yelp
OH MY GOD. On a two-night vacation, we went there once and loved it so much that we also ate there the second night. Night one we had the flatbread, asparagus, and trout. Night two was the panzella salad, fried green onions, and pork. Every dish was excellent. In the category of "mind-blowing" were the asparagus, which was charcoal grilled with a creamy sauce with bits of pickled radish in it, the trout, which was also grilled and perfectly cooked, the panzella salad, which had a subtle balance of arugula and dressing with radishes prepared in a way that has forever changed my opinion of radishes, and the pork tenderloin, which probably had no more than a tablespoon of breadcrumbs on it and yet was more perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside than any pork I've had. Overall, the chef is a genius and the menu is perfect. They also have a wide and varied wine list and friendly, knowledgeable servers. A plus plus plus plus.
