It ate and left no crumbs. Fantastic vibes. Everything I want in a bookstore: well curated, knowledgeable staff who make recommendations, super inclusive space (very LGBTQIA+ friendly with books for those audiences as well). I spent half an hour talking over authors I like and getting recommendations I’m really excited about. Spiritually, I needed this.

Very wonderful local bookstore! I am planning on taking all my friends here. I have even taken my mother who was able to find a book she was interested in, though she is not a big romance reader! Because I have been endeavoring to bring as many of my friends as possible here, I have visit in fairly short bursts. I have been pleasantly surprise that each time provides new displays and suggestions! I feel like I see new books and titles each time I am in. Their online selection is also wonderful and the best part in my opinion is that you can pick it up In Store if you are so inclined! A good excuse to see discover new selections! If I could give more stars I would!

I LOVE this place. So many selections I'd never heard of and I love how they've categorized the store for easy browsing. I could spend hours looking around. Everyone who works here is superb and super friendly. You can tell it's a true labor of love. I hope I'm able to check out one of the author events soon. 💜

If you love romance and independent bookstores, this place is undoubtedly for you. Wide selection, some cute decor, tons of written recommendations, very informative staff that helped my SO find something obscure. This is not your average windowless, dank and dusty book dungeon (not knocking it, those places give me life. And allergies.).

It is a must-visit every time I am in the Cities. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about their selections. They're always willing to help you find new books based on tropes you love. I adore that all the LGBTQIA+ books are marked with a rainbow sticker so I can find queer reads easily.

An absolutely wonderful little bookshop with a spectacular selection of books from different genres to choose from! It’s my absolute favorite bookstore to visit in the twin cities area

Absolutely had the best time at Tropes and Trifles! Such a great selection of books and the staff is incredible. Katrina helped me find the perfect book based on my favorite author, and they were very knowledgeable about a wide range of the books in store. They made me feel welcomed immediately upon arrival, and I definitely believe they deserve a raise for providing one of the best bookstore experiences.
