Tropic Escape Room

I took my daughter and four of her friends to the Sugar Rush escape room today for her birthday. We all had a great time! The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we left, one of my daughters friends said she wants to go there for her birthday!

We did this for my soon to be sister in laws bachelorette party. From beginning to end our guide Blanca was absolutely amazing! She explained everything and made the whole experience awesome. We had such a great time in the museum themed room. None of us had done this before but between the 4 of us and Blanca’s hints we escaped with a few minutes to spare! I highly recommend!

I came with four 3rd graders. They had a blast! The difficulty level was way too high for them, of course, but Riley did a great job of giving them hints that were just enough for them to get to the next step. I think it would be fun to go as an adult...with other adults!

I just went to do the Museum Heist with my husband and our 8-year old daughter. We had a great time! Riley our host was great throughout the entire experience. Highly recommend.

Very nice location, even though it feels like an office, inside it's well-maintained and has a welcoming waiting room! We participated in "Sugar Rush," a very interesting room (even if there wasn't much inside). Personally, I wasn't that thrilled. Every time you completed a task, you had to follow the staff's instructions (on the monitor), so between one puzzle and the next, everything felt a bit disconnected in my opinion. In any case, we had a lot of fun! Reservations required

Overall, we had a nice time (we did the Museum Heist room with a party of 6). The room started off strong, however after the first couple of tasks, the following tasks seemed really disjointed and didn’t really flow with the overall theme, nor was it obvious what you were supposed to do next (1 leads to 2 that leads to 3, etc). Even with six people, we all struggled to understand what we were supposed to be doing and were having to ask for clues as nothing was obvious. The staff was wonderful, the room was well equipped and we would visit Tropic again, however due to the disjointed aspects of the room, I can’t give them 5 stars.

We did the Museum Heist room. (4 adults) It was really fun and different. Our host was Anabelle and she had a great personality, she was just the right amount of help and was a big part of our enjoyment of the experience. I would definitely come back to do more rooms. PS I loved the funny videos with the "security guard". Really set the fun tone.

My wife and I were looking for something to do on one of our date nights and she finally convinced me to try an escape room. I normally do not like board games or puzzles but this was one of our dates that we had the most fun in a long time. I can’t believe we haven’t done this sooner. The staff was so nice and made it a great vibe as well. We will definitely go back!

Way overpriced for what it is. One small room and missing and broken "clues" No reasoning behind some of the clues and when we escaped the lady said oh someone stole part of the camera and we haven't fixed it, and other failed clues. For the price it was one of the worse we have been to. Do not recommend

We had a great time! It was our first escape room and we chose the Museum. The booking process was easy and the game master explained everything well. We went into the room and it was well done. I won't give away any secrets but it was perfect for myself, wife, 18 year old son and 13 year old son. It was challenging it not so hard that we get frustrated. A couple of hints later we escaped with 10 minutes to go! We had an awesome time and recommend it to anyone who wants a great rainy day activity or just a fun family Experience.

My review is for the Museum Heist Room only: This is an otherwise good escape with substantial accessibility issues. At the start, the room is dark (not completely, but fairly dark), and two people must traverse obstacles requiring substantial agility. Additionally, the there are clues within printed prose which is small and in a difficult text for many to see in the lighting conditions. Museum Heist is not appropriate without modification for most older folks.

if this was the first escape room place I've been to id give it a 5 because it was fun, but ive done over 25 escape rooms and this was probably the least entertaining, only because it was one small room, I did the sugar rush with my parents and the video they played wasn't like professional it was just an employee playing it, but it was sorta silly and funny, but one of the things in the room that looks important, didnt even have a reason in the game, but it was my parents first escape room ever and they said it was absolutely so fun and they would go back again and again, so id say if you aren't someone who's always doing escape rooms like me, this would be an amazing place to start with. the staff were so sweet and helpful we tipped her at the end, it had nothing to do with staff, it only had to do with being someone more experienced.

It was great! We had a blast! The host was excellent and very accommodating! We have done many rooms with more pp at very hard levels, but this challenging yet very creative - loved it! Ty :)

Let me prelude this review by saying check the Google Reviews for this place because those reviewers and I can all agree that we LOVED this place. My partner and I have done several escape rooms and this one had such challenging puzzles and awesome decor. We did Almost Famous and it was such an immersive experience. The puzzles related to the story line and we came across a couple of puzzles we've never encountered before. Any time anyone asks us what our favorite room we've done is, so far it has been this one. This is a challenging room and the two owners of the place are the masterminds behind it, drawing inspiration from other escape rooms and their own experiences. They were friendly and helpful and they keep the place spotless. We don't live in the area, we were traveling down the area but it'll be a destination once we return to the west coast.

Super fun! Took my aunt who has never been and 13 year old to sugar rush!! Our "host" was also generous:) Thank you for a wonderful experience!

If I could give it less I would. Took our family there after making reservations on line only to be greeted by an extremely rude individual at the front desk that quickly advised us that we should have arrived 15 minutes early for each member of our party to fill out their waiver form before we could enter the playing area. We had 6 adults and 3 kids in our party and again was rudely told that the time required to complete the form would be deducted from our playing experience. At that moment I was suddenly no longer in a playful mood and immediately requested a full refund for our advanced payment but abruptly told that we were not entitled to a refund and should have purchased additional insurance to be eligible for a refund of any kind. We were told that we would have to voice our displeasure with the manager (who of course wasn't present) and sarcastically told "good luck with that" I'm typically not one to complain and normally compassionate towards business's suffering with employee incompetence, and in fact, this is my very first negative review that I've ever felt compelled to post. The flagrant disregard towards our dissatisfaction with respect to their unacceptable business policies and blatant unprofessionalism displayed towards myself and entire family by the apparent employee in charge on Saturday evening 6/25/22 is the sole reason I felt it necessary to caution anyone that may be interested in possibly patronizing this establishment in the future. I highly encourage anyone looking for a fun family night out in Southwest Florida to seek their innocent pleasures somewhere other than the Tropic Escape Room on Bonita Beach Road. Part 2: Reply to owner: as expected, you were obviously painted a completely different picture than the events that actually occurred. Also as expected, I presumed you would side with your employee on his version of what transpired to cause someone enough discontent to openly voice our dreadful experience when attempting to patronize your local establishment. Obviously, your so called GM confused us with another party of three because we were charged for 6 adults and informed that our young grandkids that accompanied us we free of charge. I'm honestly Not sure how or where we were mistaken for someone that apparently only made reservations for 3 people but regardless that isn't even a factor and simply a mute point. We can certainly provide evidence of the charges you imposed for services never rendered. We did in fact make reservations on line approximately one hour before the 7:00pm adventure and based on the fact that we literally live 20 minutes from your location we didn't feel that was an issue of concern. We didn't however anticipate the traffic back up due to the torrential storms in the area and that admittedly caused an approximate three minute delay in our arrival. When we offered the reason for our minor tardiness your valued employees exact reply is "I drive in it everyday" REALLY? Furthermore, If you actually did review your security footage you would truly know that although we admittedly conveyed our discontent with the blatant disregard and arrogance of your employee, NO ONE was ever threatened and No Body from our party ever went anywhere beyond the front desk at any point and such false accusations need to be 100% retracted. I also find it somewhat amusing that you invite me to contact you if I'd like to discuss a possible resolution concerning the manner in which my family and I were rudely and abruptly mistreated by a particular member of your staff but ironically didn't offer a number or avenue to reach you. Believe me, I'm not seeking any apologies and have much better things to do with my time, but I'd strongly encourage you to get an accurate accounting of the facts before you toss flagrant accusations towards me and my family.

Our time was 8:00pm and they made us wait 40 minutes for the room. The room itself was a lot of fun and they gave us a lot of clues! I would recommend but be aware you might have to wait!

The staff person was very helpful if a little overwhelmed. It seemed like there was only one person working and several rooms going at once. Our room seemed run down and a couple things either didn't work correctly or stopped mid game. In general, the place is a little cramped. We don't plan on going back.

Clues did not add up. Told we would get more time when items did not open correctly. In the end, the photos sent to us were the wrong people. Overall, terrible experience and would NOT recommend.

We went to the Tropic Escape Room last Saturday night. It was my first time, and I didn't know what to expect. I was so surprised at how much FUN we had! We had the Museum Heist room, and it was the most fun we've had together as a family in a long time! The game master was such a blast and we all loved her! Maddox was so funny and he was such an important part of the experience, too! I couldn't recommend this place more, and will certainly be back with family and friends in the future!

Walked in, small waiting room. Was greeted nicely and the woman who worked there was very nice. Once we entered our escape room, we were off to a quick start. Things were smooth. Then, we get to some other clues that make no sense and do not pertain to the items/objects in the room. Was told only use items once, ended up using one item 3 times. Codes that were correct, did not unlock things or work. Items that had stickers stating "do not touch" were actively involved in the escape room when we were told that they weren't. Overall, overpriced and poor experience.

This was such a fun date night! We chose Almost Famous, we made it all the way to the end alive and loved the ending surprise! We will be back to try the other rooms, Tony was super helpful

Great fun and wonderful and helpful staff...Sarah is the best! Game was challenging well thought out and most importantly just great family fun. We will return!!!

Sarah was very sweet. I would highly recommend this place. The Castaway Room was extremely hard, but enjoyed the challenge.

Love this place. We have done a lot of escape rooms (Boston, Providence, Worcester, and down in Bonita) and the quality of this place was right up there with the big places in Boston. We did Museum heist as a three-generation outing - my in-laws, my husband and me, and our two kids. Everyone contributed but it was legitimately hard. We made it out with just under 2 minutes left on the clock. Would very much recommend this place without hesitation.

Our group of 7 on vacation just did the Castaway room...very challenging fun super fun! We ended up escaping thanks to the worker's helpful clues. They were very helpful and even gave us some extra time to escape because no one was booked after us, which was awesome. Overall 10/10 experience, totally recommend it to anyone up for a fun challenge (especially on a rainy day)!!

Would rate it a 0 if I could. Came to have a good time with a group of 7 people and it was $250, time had to be stopped several times because things decided not to work, rude ass employees and it seems like bad management with the way things are run.

I would've left a 0 star review if it let me. People who run this place are bitchy and straight up rude. Didn't run smoothly at all. we had them stop our time twice to come in and fix what was broken or not placed correctly in the room when we started. I have done many of escape rooms. Overall bad experience. I recommend escapology.

This was a well thought game and the whole family had a great time. Thanks again Maddie for making our trip to southern Florida even more fun.!

Such a fun time. Lauren and Maddie were awesome. Covid precautions in place , felt very safe. Our kids had a great time too

This was our third time here and we had a great time in all three rooms. Our hostess Maddie was super nice and very attentive. We highly recommend this escape room!

We didn't know what to expect as this was my first time and my group's first time at an escape room but we were so pleasantly surprised and we all had the best time. Tony was the best and made it so much fun! We will definitely be back.

This was our first experience with an escape room and we can't wait for our next time. It was the right amount of challenge and fun. Austin, our host/guide, kept us on the right track and made sure we "escaped". Would highly recommend Tropic Escape Room!

Three generations of our family recently went to the Museum Heist room. Three of the 4 of us had never been to an escape room before. We really needed the 3 generations to help with the technology challenges! Had a great time. Its fun that you have to work cooperatively to solve your way out.

I just recently moved to the area and have been looking for fun things to do. I was so excited to find an escape room in the area! We tried finals week first and had an absolute blast that we came back a few days later to try out the museum room. Both rooms were so much fun. The owners were great and made the experience even more fun. I can't wait for their next room to open and to bring my friends when they come to visit.

One of my favorite Escape Rooms! Had a great time with family and friends, perfect night out!!
