"Tropical Dreams, a Hawai’i-based ice cream shop, has opened its first mainland location in Austin. The shop offers a variety of ice creams, gelatos, and sorbets including tropical flavors like mango-lychee, toasted coconut, ube, and peanut butter and guava jelly, along with classic flavors. The shop also serves Kona-style coffee. The Austin store is overseen by Dwight DuBois and Rick Miller, with Lewis DuBois and his family heading the company." - Nadia Chaudhury

Been waiting for this place to open, so glad they are here! The island flavors (ginger, lychee, lilikoi (passion fruit), dragon fruit, etc.) are where it's at! Can't wait for poha berry and ube to make their way to TX. :-)

This place is Amazing! So many exotic flavors! I love the Ginger Cream, and the Dragonfruit sorbet! I recommend getting the salted caramel and ginger cream for a unique flavor. The place is clean and the people are friendly and cool! Definitely prefer this place over Amy's icecream and won't go anywhere else!

Cute and clean ice cream shop that offers all kinds of unique Hawaiian ice cream flavors and coffee. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. My favorites are the peanut butter and guava, pineapple coconut cream, and vanilla chocolate chip

This was a delight find. Had no idea it was here. They had Ube!! Which is so rare. They had a lot of really tasty flavors that I had not seen before. Definitely a unique place. The staff was helpful and helped guide us through it. It's a nice little place. Parking can be a little hard, but definitely worth it. They have pints to go as well.

1st experience service: 5 stars Our server was friendly and made great recommendations and described different flavors. :) 2nd experience service: 1 star Server demanded we wear masks. I explained we are fully vaccinated (2 Pfizer shots) and we are 100% happy to wear masks if we are treated the same as all other customers. 5 feet away from us, a young couple was sitting and eating ice cream: not wearing masks. Please explain how it's ok to not wear masks because the air only circulates in an invisible bubble contained within 5 feet around a table. Our 1st experience 30 MINUTES earlier: no customers wore a mask (around 10 people standing in line, eating). We wear masks whenever it's required, and choose to dine outside in 95 degree heat or takeout! 1st experience taste: Love the flavors here! Kalamansi Sorbet - Wow! Wake-me-up citrus Dragonfruit - my favorite well-rounded sweet flavor Ube - mellow sweet, like cake Lava Java - coffee chocolate marshmallow, lightly sweet 2nd experience taste: I raved about the ice cream to my mom and brought her 30 minutes later here to grab a scoop. We grabbed a scoop and left. Will definitely go to other Tropical Dreams locations, not this one.

Helpful staff. Cares about the environmental impact of their plastic spoons. Great icecream. Quiet atmosphere. Maybe turn up the speakers a little. Staff clearly has control of the music though, and that's always a plus.

It's a nice place to just relax. The ice cream and sorbets are great. I recommend trying them all at least once. Also you're going to wanna keep going back!
