Everything You Need To Eat In Miami This Summer - Miami - The Infatuation

"Mango may be the king of summer, but Fruit & Spice Park is a tropical fruit democracy, where whatever falls on the ground is fair game for eating. So bring a pocket knife and dig into as many avocados, sapotes, jackfruit, papayas, rheedia, and (of course), mangoes as you can handle." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer, ryan pfeffer, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

We went on the 2hr farm tour and it was definitely worth it! Fantastic going through the farm on the tractor pulled transport! The boat ride was amazing, the kids really enjoyed this. Feeding the animals was so great, they got to feed sheep, donkeys, calves, kangaroos and goats. The fruit tasting was lovely & really great to experience.

We had the absolute pleasure of doing a private tour of Tropical Fruit World in the beautiful hinterland of Duranbah recently, and found the whole experience amazing. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by the friendly team, spending time in the gift store sampling some of the great products made on site. This was accompanied by detailed information shared by the lovely and enthusiastic Layla, who showed off her knowledge explaining the benefits of each. Suffice to say we came away with many goodies and now feel well equipped to fight off winter colds, sleep more soundly, and add a new level of taste to our dishes back at home. We set off in the luxury of our private buggy to explore the farm. What can we say about the tour itself other than how enjoyable and insightful it was. We were lucky enough to see the farm through the eyes of Blair our passionate guide, albeit this doesn't do him justice as he was more of a guru!. There were four in our party and we started with a Fruit tasting lovingly prepared with finesse by Ashley. The selection of fruits were from origins all over the world most of which we had not heard of before, let alone ever tried. As we devoured each morsel Blair talked us through some of the therapeutic benefits each Fruit contains which was nothing short of mind blowing. We meandered our way through passages and paths not frequented by the general tour so we feel lucky to have made the most of this bespoke and private experience. If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary, special and unique, and highly insightful, this it.

Great tour with tasteful experiences along the way. Their fruits taste amazing and their bananas smell and taste like real bananas (not like Chiquita). The tour is a little overpriced but it is worthy since you help to maintain their beautiful farm. A must do with or without family.

Had so much fun here! The tour and tasting were amazing and full of interesting information. The staff here are so friendly and very passionate about what they do. The fruit ice cream is to die for. You will definitely leave here with a bag or box full of goodies.

We had the best 2.5 hours today touring around Tropical Fruit World. Great tour guides with a world of knowledge about plants and trees grown on the property, great fruit tasting, a variety of food items and fruit to purchase from including the fruit market stall. Tea/ hot chocolate, coffee and food available from the cafe. Also, not to mention home made ice cream from the tropical fruit of your choice. Plan your day around Tropical Fruit World and surrounding country towns. You'll LOVE the tours, so make sure you book in for THE WORKS! Boat and tractor tours were informative and very interesting. The Tropical Fruit tasting was the best! 💢Excellent for the kids too because Tropical Fruit World cater for kids not only providing a playground, but also a fun sandpit they can play in. Did I mention, our tour guide was amazing filling us in on all the history behind this amazing Fruit World? I was surprised about all the new things I learnt on the tours. Make sure you include this attraction into your holiday plans. You will have an amazing day out with spectacular country views.

This is a really wholesome, fun, delicious, dynamic snd informative experience. We had a great time on the tour with our 22 month old toddler - there was enough for us all to enjoy with the tasting, the tractor, macadamia cracking (super cool!), feeding the animals, the boat ride and the play area with the flying fox. Excellent value. Would recommend this experience for all ages who will get something out of it - a tourist gem! Thank you to the woman whose name escapes me who ran a brilliant tasting with a passion for sharing her knowledge and Blair who ran a great tour with his vast knowledge of all the fruit trees. Also liked that there was a box of duplo for kids to have play with while the tasting was on. Hope the scientists can hone in on the knowledge here because it sounds like a lot of those fruits have potential to change health conditions for the better for many people.

Revisited with now grown kids after we RAVED about how magical it all was ten years prior. Sadly this time was blatantly disappointing. So. Very. Disappointing. The addition of a petting zoo, a boat ride and an island like play area WAS fun, but the poor crowd control was sickening to watch. Patient farm tour participants were pushed to the back by those HEAPING their plates for firsts, seconds and thirds during the fruit taste testing, treating it like an all you can eat buffet. The aggressive hoards did the same at the banana / macadamia nut pit stop & farm animal feeding. Push. Shove. Grab. Take. The staff were lovely but seemed... Vacant and distant and vague. The routine was followed but now it seems impersonal and mechanic and clinical. We won't return again. Leave it all to the masses who push, shove, take and dominate. Good luck! Bubbles the duck seemed awesome tho... And the donkeys appeared to frolic & have fun. We didn't: Needed a crash helmet to survive the tour...

I took my daughter and we had a really nice time. The fruit was lovely, and the staff were friendly. I had a few problems with other people visiting, maybe due to tour busses etc. But so many people pushed in and rushed to be first in line, first in their seats, first to be served, first at everything. I personally felt like the staff were too chill and let a lot of people miss out because they didn't notice so many people being rude. Some more observations from staff members and reading the room and everyone on their tour so we all had a nice time is something that could help the experience for each group.

Yelp
It's a solid experience in the fruit world. We enjoyed a meal in the cafe first, the highlight for us was the grilled chicken breast salad and the fish and chips. After that the truck ride around the farm was a great snapshot of the entire fruit world, along with the minitrain ride and the boat ride feeding geese. The gift + fruit shop at the end is quite expensive, but they do have a larger variety of fruit than at normal Australian supermarkets.

Yelp
Totally worth a trip, even if it's for the ice cream alone! You go on a tour of the plantation, and see some nice scenery. A nice little boat ride, and even a mini train ride (not gonna lie it was a little awkward especially since it was a tight fit for the number of people on our tour). Along the way you stop to see some animals that you can feed and pet. Then you go to a food show where you learn some information and the best part - a tasting! There is also a little restaurant serving their fresh produce. The ice cream is amazing, you have to try it. You choose your fruits and they put it in vanilla ice cream. I had the chocolate fruit with banana and it was delicious. If you still haven't had your fill of fruit you can take some home from their little market stand. I'm dead serious about at least stopping for ice cream, when I take a trip down to Byron Bay you better believe we'll be making a pit stop for some ice cream!!

Yelp
Great half day out. Entry fee is expensive at $40 pp for a adult. We started off on a guided walk to where we got a informative talk on the fruit and products the place produces then got to taste the wonderful and exotic fruits. The kids loved tasting new fruits, the star fruit was a hit with my boys. We then got on a tracker and had a tour thorough the property stoping at various crops to taste test bananas and crack nuts open. We stopped at the petting farm and the kids got to hand feed the animals, from here we boarded a boat for a nice cruise, the kids wer given bread to throw out to he ducks following us. Final stop as treasure island. Here the kids went on a miniature train played mini golf, basketball, flying fox, they had a playground and plenty of covered tables and chairs to have a picnic. Overall had a great day, take our own Lunch as the cafe is expensive. Kids loved it.
