Eldorado Resorts plans a mega-merger with Caesars Entertainment for $17.3 billion | Eater Vegas

"A Southern Nevada resort owned by Eldorado Resorts that will be part of the enlarged company once the cash-and-stock deal to acquire Caesars closes; as an Eldorado property, it contributes to the combined operator's footprint as the newly formed largest gaming company in the U.S., while Eldorado keeps its Reno headquarters and preserves a major corporate presence in Las Vegas." - Susan Stapleton

Room 350 was very old feeling. It was at the end of the hall. There was no fridge, we had to call for an ice bucket, and I don't think they vacuum because I found a used match in the middle of the carpet. I like that it came with 4 pillows on the bed. The shower pressure was awesome and lots of bathroom counter space. They had an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, and TV with cable. The a/c didn't really work that great, it took all night to cool the room down, not very strong. Wish it worked better as we were there when the temp was 106 outside. The housekeeping was very nice when I called them for the ice bucket, towels and more coffee. Very fast at bringing it up to the room. This room has a view of the back parking lot. The poolside Cafe has coffee at $8 a cup, that was crazy!! Very nice adult pool, and they have a family pool and I loved the variety of new and old school slot machines. They also have bingo and a shuttle to other hotels.

West spa suite is a real bargain during the week for $35 plus resort fee, players club rate. Nice clean room. Fairly busy for Thursday. I was really surprised. We didn’t win much but a lady I saw won $2933 in front of Brew Brothers. My wife started with $100 and ended up with $97 after several hours of play. That’s a winning trip except I lost $100.

Here for work, brought my family along. Perfect for an overnight trip. Shower was hot and provided proper pressure. The mattress could have been firmer. View from room was decent. Requested late check out and received it.

Given the four-star rating on Google, I had high expectations. However, my experience was far from satisfactory. The room was in a state of disrepair. The shower had plumbing issues, which they had fixed but were aware of before we checked in and waited for us to bring it up. Additionally, the bed was missing a comforter, and there were a significant number of missing plugs. The hotel itself was extremely outdated. It’s a cheap option if you’re only planning to sleep and go out, but if you’re looking for a relaxing vacation like we were, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all. I wasn’t feeling well most of my stay and needed to rest, but I didn’t have a comfortable place to do so. Pros: quiet, good view, safe Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Google
Stayed the 24th Floor “Penthouse” of the Tropicana Casino Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada. Upgraded to what they call a “Suite.” In reality, it’s a room with double queen beds, a mini fridge, TV (regular, not smart), and à large bathroom. I cracked up when I saw this large, curbless roll-in shower. The water pressure was laughable. Even if the water pressure was adequate, it’s far too massive to render a single shower head practical. There should be a minimum of 3: Front, back or side-wall and overhead. The water could never reach the bench! 🤣 Due to Nevada’s strict water usage guidelines, outfitting a casino hotel room bathroom with 3 showerheads would be difficult. This is a perfect example of GRAND idea, poorly executed. The staff was nice. Pool is great. Food is…. Not ideal? There’s also an Essentials Shop that charges $8 for travel sized contact solution. Parking is awesome! Covered garage. Not so secure though. Leave anything in the back of a truck, even if it’s locked with an cable, and it will get stolen.

Google
1st time visitor. Very surprised how well maintained facilities are within the room. Would be 5 stars if not for the Tropicana WIFi internet provided, don't plan on using this. Have provided screen capture of this third world experience, 2.7 mbps download speed at this site with strong signal in resort but extremely slow and unstable internet here. Wifi speeds in Mexico, Philippines, Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico are much faster than this "you got mail from old AOL dialup application". The cell phone signals are strong 5G so phone carrier came thru with a very dependable internet so you can count on using this. Would have achieved 5 stars if not for third world wifi provided to guests. Room was very clean and comfortable, staff was courteous. Would come back.

Google
Five-Star Experience at the Tropicana Laughlin I recently stayed at the Tropicana Hotel in Laughlin and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was top-notch. The bell staff and valet team were incredibly courteous and efficient, making arrival and departure smooth and stress-free. They were always quick to assist and did so with genuine friendliness. The front desk staff were welcoming, professional, and made check-in a breeze. They answered every question with a smile and went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. A special shout-out to all the waitresses throughout the property – from the restaurants to the casino floor. Every single one of them was attentive, kind, and made me feel truly valued as a guest. I have been coming here for over the last 7 years and this was the best service experience ever by far. It's refreshing to experience such consistent, high-quality service from every department. Tropicana Laughlin is doing hospitality right. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Google
During this visit we attempted to have a meal at the Carnegie Restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely DISAPPOINTING! The young lady that seated us was personable and greeted us with a welcoming attitude! Our waitress was TERRIBLE! I think she was far more interested in leaving than taking care of a guest!! After telling us she would bring us water, she could not even be bothered to do this!! While I understand the desire to end your shift, a good waitress will take the time to let you know she is preparing to leave and inform one of the new wait staffs. This was not done! As I have said, this visit was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING AND BORDERED ON BEING RUDE!! I hope appropriate measures will be taken to address this situation.

Yelp
Check in was easy. Was put in the promenade tower. Lots of elevators and the room was spacious. Carpet was pretty clean no major stains. Bed was a little worn out but worked. Room was clean and the shower pressure was fantastic. Plus the water got really hot!! There was no refrigerator but it had a coffee maker. You have to call and ask for housekeeping to be done daily or they just won't do it. Learned that the hard way by a rude man that answers the phone in the evening. Casino didn't hit but that's pretty typical. They kept the AC on very cold. We ate breakfast every morning and I had read that Cherrie was the best waitress and I have to agree! She was very friendly and efficient. Loved her bubbly attitude! Would I stay there again?? Probably so because our group is using the motel. Oh I almost forgot. The soul band was awesome! They really provided some needed upbeat to the casino!!

Yelp
We stayed at Tropicana Laughlin for the weekend to watch a local band. The band was great, and the casino itself was clean, which made for a good start. Dining Experience We ate at Brew Brothers. The food was very good, but the service was a major letdown. Even though we had reservations, it took about 20 minutes to get seated. Once we were seated, our server never came by to take our order or even offer refills. We eventually had to call the manager, but even after that, no one checked on us. The food took about an hour to arrive, and while the manager did apologize, the service never improved. Overall, it was a very frustrating dining experience. Room Conditions We specifically asked for one of the "renovated" rooms, but if this was renovated, it must have been 10 years ago. The door looked like it had been kicked in, the bathroom door knob was loose and wobbly, and the toilet seat was also loose. While the main room itself didn't have stains and looked acceptable, the bathroom looked tired and used up. Overall Impression The entertainment and casino were positives, but the dining and hotel room fell way short of expectations. My advice: if you're visiting Laughlin, you may be better off staying at Golden Nugget or Aquarius.

Yelp
Staying here for three nights and this review is just for night one, night one check in was smooth and everything, we get to our room and the tv doesn't work whatever we let it go and said maybe it's just rn we will try it later, we go down to the pool, we rented out a cabana (which i highly recommend), then after the pool we went back to our room to shower and get ready to go downstairs to play. Our shower water was freezing cold, and our tv is still not working the screen was completely green. I called front desk 3x before i got an answer, and they informed me that they shut off the hot water in the upper floors and that it wouldn't be on till tomorrow morning (today), & as for the tv, he offered to get us to switch rooms. However, we're a big family on a vacation, we have 5 rooms including ours, and i mentioned my other families issues as well with their water and one room being dirty and he said he can switch us for now but didn't mention any of our other rooms so we declined out of annoyance. then, we go downstairs to eat, the chicken strips were so good but small portioned, onion rings and fries were good as well. now for the worst part of the night, we go play at the tables, & were all into the game having a good time then about 10 minutes after the dealer asked to ID us which is no biggie just doing their jobs but they did it after we were there for a good while which was weird. We stood for a bit then tried out another blackjack table, the $25 starting bid min one to be exact and the dealer ALEX, was sooooo EXTREMELY rude to my party (2 of us were playing, 2 were standing politely behind) One of us was still learning how to play and he was getting so irritated, he practically throwing the cards, he had a big attitude with us but with the other 2 ladies at the table was all nice, laughing and joking with them. He even said a comment about how we should just go play the slot machines. which i thought was extremely extremely rude. we felt so uncomfortable we went to go cash out after. my friend told him he was being rude and aggressive at the way he was throwing the cards and he said that's how you play. but although we are new players we are NOT dumb, and we had just gotten up from another table where it was nothing like that. I literally had to bite my tongue to not say anything, because i was really really upset. Not sure if because we're latinos, & he was a big caucasian man, not sure if he thought we were dumb kids, but we're in our mid twenties, we were respectful, nice, & just there for a good time. not sure what the heck was wrong with him, but he ruined our night and we just came upstairs.

Yelp
Convenient hotel to stay for concerts at the event center, but not worth the price they charge. Hotel has several food options and a decent size casino. The rooms are dated and need some TLC.

Yelp
We checked out this hotel and casino on a recent day trip to Laughlin. Most of the hotels in Laughlin are pretty much the same. They're not new, but they're not really old. One good thing about this hotel is that it is a Caesars property, so if you are a member you can get free comp nights. We did not spend the night so I cannot review the rooms, but the casino was decent and they had some new slot machines, or possibly old slot machines lol, that we had not seen in Las Vegas, so that was fun.

Yelp
Luxury suite..promenade tower..comfy beds..clean rooms..café food was great and good prices..I played bingo and my husband played cards and bet at the sportsbook ...fun

Yelp
Casino Floor: It had a lot of great machines to play with. I love the neon bingo. Suck the tables start late and end early, even on the weekends. Pool: The pool is nice and big. I had a few problems with it. I believe the security system needs to be stricter. "Adult Pool Hours" are meant for adults, but plenty of teenagers and kids were there. Also, parents hid their kids in the water so they won't be caught. It also sucked that the bar closed at 8 p.m. right on the dot. I have to say, though, that the coconut margaritas were delicious. Elevators: On the day I was there, only four elevators worked, and I waited for around thirty to an hour. We couldn't use the stairwell because it was scorching 140 degrees inside there. Food: The food was good. I loved the chicken tenders, and the restaurant was good, too. Overall rating: 3.8

Yelp
I had a great experience here. My check In experience was with Jayden late Thursday was great, as he was kind and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable in the west tower facing the pool/river. Is this a 5 star diamond hotel? No, but pleasantly surprised. House keeping crew on the 23rd floor, very nice and courteous. SHOT OUT TO THE BARTENDERS in the middle casino area. Fun and nice, the only issue i had when i went down to extend my stay, that lady was not very friendly and would not offer me the online price so we paid extra, not that happy. Pool area was clean and bartender there was fun. Jerry pool guy was also great. Security in that area checking to see if we brought in food/drinks was too much. Not too many onsite restaurants, or much to do. I felt it lacked entertainment. All in all, I would stay here again. .

Yelp
Here mid-week for a funeral. While my relative booked the least expensive room , given the hotel is empty you'd think they'd put us up in a decent room. Instead we got a room with a TV smaller than my home computer screen; a view of the parking structure; & a king size bed with 4 standard (not king) pillows. When called the front desk for something better they simply said anything better would be more $. I'd brought $1,000 to gamble after funeral but won't be doing any of that now, at least not at The Tropicana. PS, no safe, no mini fridge..
google avatar

Yelp
The couple of restaurants are horrible, customer service is non existent, rooms below average and they do not clean daily. I don't know how they stay on business.
google avatar

Yelp
Only leaving 2 stars because bed was very comfy. This place is very old and there's no up keep. I made reservation on line and paid 3x what my son paid. He came last minute and got a free upgraded room with every amenity for 1/3 rd the price. I'm more than disgusted. To take a shower we had to hold the hose in our hand because there's nothing to hold it. F this place.

Yelp
The hotel is good in a pinch it's old But cheap and clean Front desk wasn't very friendly Room was big Beds were comfortable sheets were a bit rough Pillows were small but okay Bathroom was decent size had a bathtub Was clean Towels where rough Chairs in the room were stained rug wax a bit sticky Had to go to the 20th level to get ice all machines were broken we were on the 3rd floor Hotel had a weird smell People just smoking right outside the door Check out was easy it's been 4 days still haven't gotten my deposit back Worst thing was while leaving a bug not just any bug it was a tarantula wasp landed on my husband thank goodness it didn't sting him It was just in the hotel flying around

Yelp
Well the rooms are looking dated, furniture is old, carpet needs to be replaced or at least stretched. Pool was closed. Since there is a resort fee and the temp was in the mid 90s the pool would have been nice. No explanation givin. This was on March 26, 2025. There needs to be a couple of usb ports for plugging In phones. Bed was comfortable . TV worked. Lots of hot water and good pressure. Room 651

Yelp
This is the absolute worst hotel we have ever stayed at, if i could give zero stars i would. We decided to stay here as it is closer to the main hub of the casino surrounded area in Laughlin and we have enjoyed every harrahs we've ever stayed at and considering Tropicana is a in the same branch as harrahs but was cheaper, we thought it couldn't be that bad. boy were we wrong. The staff is friendly but completely useless in helping any issues be resolved. About an hour after checking in, we went down stairs because 1. the toilet made a loud whistling noise for about a minute straight when you'd flush it and 2. the room was filthy upon arrival. We asked if there was a room we could switch to and were told "they have no open rooms for the night" which was an absolute lie because i was went onto the Tropicana website and could book a room for the night so clearly they had open rooms. We were told maintenance and housekeeping would come up to resolve the issues, how ever we had a feeling they wouldn't so we waited in the room for 2 hours and called downstairs and asked when they were coming and said they were on their way. Maintenance came, looked at the toilet, then left and never came back. As for housekeeping, no one showed up to re clean anything lol. We tried calling around to Aquarius, Edgewater, and Harrahs and none had open rooms available because by this time it was past 8 PM. Not sure why the hotel has housekeeping when they do absolutely nothing. Both days we were there, and yes we had the sign on the door for them to come in while we were out, they did not do a single thing other than fix the bed sheets. They didn't take our trash out, refill coffee cups / water bottles, wipe off the counter, or give us fresh towels. All of those things are very noticeable when they aren't done and both days when we would come back, only the bed sheets would be fixed. There were lines wrapping into the casino to get into the elevator to go to the rooms every days. And no they do joe have stairs you can access to get to the rooms every days floors because the door is boarded up with sand bags blocking it from the outside (which how is that legal because what if there was a fire and we had to take the stairs to get out ??? we would be stuck ???) So please use this as your sign to spend the extra money at a different hotel and i promise you'll be glad you did. This is the absolute worst hotel and we were so disgusted and disappointed that we wasted our money on a shithole like this place.

Yelp
I have to say, this is the first time staying at the tropicana in laughlin, and it's very nice. They have a beautiful pool, They have a poolside café. The water's nice and warm. The machines, the slot machines are quite loose. I won and I lost some. You have to try out the bingo, though, the bingo's really fun, especially the neon bingo. The rooms are very nice. They're very clean. They have some very nice restaurants. They have a little cafe, they have port of subs. That's really good. They have an arcade area for kids, super fun. The environment is very friendly. The employees are very friendly, kelley at the front desk, super sweet, super nice. The bell desk was very nice, the valet is great. They have bands every friday and saturday night, a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
This is the first time we stayed at Tropicana Laughlin. Very impressed! They have some really great restaurants with equally great pricing it's not going to cost you an arm and a leg to eat. Everybody seems very nice. We played bingo which was quite humorous for us just because we are not typical bingo players. Everybody from valet to the front desk to staying at the rooms. Very very nice. Well deserving of four stars
google avatar

Angela S.

Yelp
Another 5 star experience! We love this place ...itsnot glitzy and over populated or over priced like vegas but its down to earth fun, less flare and very welcoming! Best slot machines...people always happy and winning including my son and I and staff is great! We'll be back soon ! We love laughlin!

Yelp
There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout the property--everywhere except the rooms, thankfully. The service was solid, with friendly and helpful staff, which I appreciated. However, $9 for a bottle of water felt outrageous, and the price of a bottle of whiskey was equally over the top--definitely recommend bringing your own. The rooms were clean, but very outdated. While the bed was comfortable, the furniture didn't cater to modern tech needs (limited outlets, no USB ports, etc.). The rest of the casino was decent, but overall, I'm not sure I'd stay here again unless they did some major upgrades or I found a really good deal.
google avatar

Yelp
We played video poker here two nights while in town. We felt like they had a lot of slots and video poker machines to choose from. Drink servers and bartenders were friendly and drinks were good. Free shuttle to and from Harrahs is nice but doesn't run often enough. Tropicana has lots of nice food options like Port of Subs and Brew Brothers. No idea how the rooms are, but we haven't heard good things about them.
google avatar

Thomas N.

Yelp
Rooms are okay but small. Good food options. Slots are tight, I never win anything here, and they are very stingy with comps.
google avatar

Randy L.

Yelp
The gaming floor is very nice. Great little shops. The the lounge where there's live music was comfortable and service is great. The the people that work there are very nice. The place is clean bud. As for the room, small little TV bathroom was incredibly uncomfortable. No real hot water. The sink didn't drain properly. The toilet made some very strange sounds and just very uncomfortable bathroom. I wouldn't stay there again but it did look like a nice place to play and maybe to catch some food.

Yelp
Large classic casino resort on the Laughlin Strip. We came here for the brewery restaurant which was very busy on a Saturday evening. We were lucky enough to get seated at the bar. Gaming had a lot of options and I found my absolute favorite slot machine Better of Ed. It is definitely worth waiting for the cocktail waitress to get a drink. The bar here thinks they can charge strip prices.

Mike A.

Yelp
I recommend ANYONE thinking of staying here Stay in Vegas because this hotel is so 90s dated moldy and overall unpleasant to be in! The management could care less they feed you the same bs that they tell others who agree it's a really budget nasty hotel! JUST GO ANYWHERE ELSE YOU have been Warned

Yelp
Casino has been updated. However drinks are weak. For a small bottle of water charge is $4.25 casinos used to give complimentary. Boy have times have changed

Yelp
What a great experience. We arrived at The Tropicana to check in and were greeted in a very welcoming way by Elda at the front desk. She was very professional, friendly and helpful. I asked if she had any bottled water. She checked behind her counter and said she didn't have any, but then asked if I would like water delivered to my room. I asked if there would be a charge. She told me no. She called right then and asked housekeeping to deliver water to the room. My husband and I were walking down the hallway to our room, right after checking in, and housekeeping was already at our room to deliver the water. I then called to ask if I could get a mini fridge delivered and it was delivered within 5 minutes. Elda was so pleasant and just a great start to our little trip. The first morning we were there we went to Carnegie's for breakfast. My sister and brother in law had met us in Laughlin to spend a few days together. They joined us for breakfast and we all couldn't believe the amazing service we received from our server, Cherri. She was so friendly, fast with the service and right there for refills on drinks and to see if we needed anything. She was amazing and and really made our day, with her fantastic service. These two ladies, Elda and Cherri, should be commended for their above and beyond customer service. We were very happy with our room, too. Although the property is older, the room was very clean, quiet and comfortable
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
This review is ONLY FOR THE CAFE. This literally just happened (4/28)... I went to the Cafe JUST ME, ONE PERSON, A HOTEL GUEST wanting to have breakfast. The host told me they couldn't sit me because the servers were full. All I did was turn around and leave. I wish I took pics. There were nothing but empty tables. I work in a restaurant myself. I would NEVER do that. That's bad for business.

Yelp
We stayed here for one night this past weekend, and I was not impressed. Easy to get into the parking lot, with plenty of signs to guide you. It is a long walk from the parking garage to the check in desk, then back again to where the room elevators are. Check in was easy, as there was no line and plenty of clerks behind the desk. Tango's Lounge had a great band on Saturday night, and our bartender Tommy was phenomenal. The machines weren't paying out, but poker kept us busy winning the min hands. The reason I'm only giving this review 2 stars is the room. Horrible housekeeping! Dust on the dressers and the back of the chairs, corners are not vacuumed, some bobby pins laying around the floor, some stray hairs (not mine) on the bathroom floor. The beds were decent, and good water pressure in the room. I understand this hotel is outdated (furniture needs upgraded, tile floors could use a replacement), and I can handle outdated....what I really want is a CLEAN room.
google avatar

Filemon G.

Yelp
Couldn't give less than 1 star or else I would. TVs didn't work. Lock for the bathroom didn't work. Water pressure is straight trash. And when my wife went to go ask for help on certain things the people said oh we can't help you. And had an attitude.
google avatar

Yelp
Great value for a place to stay while in Laughlin. My one complaint is the pool area. One hot tub was pool temp and the other hot tub's (the adult only) Jets were not working and there were pieces of toilet paper floating around in it.

Jacob K.

Yelp
To my surprise i found a hypodermic needle under my bed. This should tell you about the cleanliness of this hotel. I will never stay here again. I urge you not too as well. The worst part is no one really gave a shit. All I got was a measly apology.

Yelp
Last week, I went to the Grand Canyon on a whim. Laughlin is still about 3 hours from there, but my very limited Caesar's play got me a comped room for 3 nights, including a Friday. The service here was 5-stars. The property itself was a mess. First, the good. When I showed up looking a little worse-for-wear after 7+ hours of driving, I was allowed to check in 2 hours early for free. The day I left, I requested late checkout, and was given till 3 PM (virtually unheard of in Vegas). The casino staff was friendly all around, from the dealers and the cage to the bar staff. However, there wasn't much else to like. I was comped a "Luxury" room. When I entered, I genuinely thought there had been a mistake. Not only were the furnishings dated and scuffed, the general vibe of the room was "older Red Roof Inn." The TV was small, although channel selection was decent. The thermostat was from the Reagan era, and was adjusted by a small dial. The bathroom was exactly what you'd expect from a motel. Small tub/shower, toilet, and a sink. Nothing extra. Overall, the room wasn't a disgrace, but if this was luxury, I shuddered to think what a standard/deluxe room offered. The pool and hot tub were pleasant. There was a section of the hotel called "The Pavilion" near the pool that I had to pass each time I went to my room. There was essentially caution tape in front of the elevator and the stairs to it were blocked off. Truthfully, I have no idea what is there, but it wasn't fun to see a portion of the hotel cordoned off. Food options were limited, and nothing was open very late. The casino floor itself just seemed tired. Cocktail service was sparse. There was also no real craps table, and only one blackjack table for most of the time I was there. Location-wise, they're across from the abandoned Colorado Belle. I walked to the Edgewater most of the time I played, which was much more lively. Overall, I would stay here again for free, but I can't imagine paying real money to stay. The people were genuinely great, but the property didn't live up to that. It wasn't atrocious, but the entire place needs an update badly--with the way things were going when I was there, I doubt there will be one anytime soon.

Natalie L.

Yelp
we had a great experience! Highly recommend we had a family reunion and brought nine of our grandkids and 20 of us self together!

Laura S.

Yelp
I would not stay here again. Luckily, we like to gamble and got the rooms comped. Asked for a bigger room upgrade, didn't get it but got offered a "smoking" room. Why would I want a "downgrade". Room was dirty, barely AC, elevators kept locking, too many kids unsupervised, cockroaches everywhere, and the list goes on. The rooms really need to be updated. The furniture is practically falling apart! Slots are a joke. Unless you are betting $3 or more you will not win! Ate at Port Subs and tried to get rewards points, was told they don't give points, but they literally have a sign in front of the register telling you to get your points! Overall this place was a joke to me. Pros: Free parking Food options Cheap table games (not 3 card poker, playing $5 on every bonus bet is outrageous) Friendly pit My husband thought it was "not bad"

Yelp
The Tropicana is looking nice and clean, however I am dissapointed with their Tropical Bingo. Apparently if you don"t YELL BINGO loud enough they can deny you your winnings. This almost happened to me. Luckily one of the floor reps also alerted the number caller, who thought it was too late and decided to call her manager to approve my winnings. Thank GOD he had common sense. If they don"t have good hearing, they should find another position. There shouldn't be tables in the back either, because they can't hear you! I received my money, but it was an unpleasant, and embarassing experience. In comparison Edgewater doesn't close their Bingo beverage station that soon, as does TB, and the staff at the Edgewater bingo seem to be more patient and friendly. Snarky remarks by managers in front of patrons isn't professional at TB. I'm just comparing with the friendly staff at Edgewater.

Yelp
I am literally at a slot machine patiently waiting 45 minutes for the drink ordered from the waitress in a nearly empty casino.

Yelp
Toto, I don't think we're in Las Vegas anymore. Booked a room at the Tropicana through Travelocity due to a concert venue I was attending over the weekend. What a disappointment. This stay was pretty much junk from jump sadly. Check In Line was over 100 people long, and 2 front desk staff were working. Strike 1. Finally get checked in and go to the room to discover it's not at all what I booked. I booked a east view king size room, what I was given was a west view 2 double bed room. I called the front desk to resolve this matter, only to be told there was nothing they could do, all king rooms were booked already and taken. Strike 2. I advised the front desk that there was an issue with the toilet tank leaking, where the toilet would run to fill the tank about every 3 minutes. I was told maintenance would come fix the issue. I advised that it would be very annoying if I had that noise constantly going on lol night while trying to sleep. I was assured the matter would be resolved. Well I went to the concert, returned to the room at 1130 to go to bed, and guess what? Toilet was still leaking and running. Issue was never taken of. Strike 3 Tropicana Laughlin is a dated property. Which is fine as it is Laughlin, not Las Vegas. However. When you pay the room rate I paid, you'd expect a vegas experience. This wasn't a 29$ room, it was $140. The staff was very inattentive and seemed to not care. I expected so much more from a Caesars property: The bed was uncomfortable, the room was noisy due to the toilet, and it was just overall an unpleasant experience. They leave a lot to be desired on the hospitality end of things, that's for certain. While it was clean in the room thankfully, there is more to the experience than a clean room. I don't remember requesting "running toilet" as my white noise request for sleeping. Truth be told, I won't stay here again. The Aquarius is much nicer and will get my business next time provided they aren't sold out again

Yelp
For Laughlin a decent go, IMO better than Harrahs. Bingo seems to be suffering because better pays down at Edgewater. Rooms in promenade tower decent. I understand the rooms in casino tower are a bit smaller but have fridge in them. Only real issue with property is poolside cafe. The team there needs a bit of training on processing free stuff the casino throws on our accounts. Plus the line moves incredibly slow. Parking easy in the garage, they have a traffic light to exit, and are right next door to in n out.

Yelp
I would only recommend this hotel if you are a smoker and are there to gamble. Then you can go down to the casino, smoke on your way there, and at the slots or tables. There are no smoking signs everywhere but no one listens and no one enforces. The pillows were not comfortable and we all woke up with pain in our necks . The room was not clean. There was hair in the bathroom and a previous visitors sock. Dust was everywhere, but again if you're here to gamble this is the place. This hotel was our over night stay from visiting the Grand Canyon. There was an arcade and a pool for our kids to hang out so that was cool and I enjoyed the live band.

Yelp
LOVE that this is now a Caesars property!! Just wish I knew this before going here the other night for dinner. I left my Caesar's CC in my room! I missed out on scoring some extra points if I used it. :-( After dinner my friend & I played some craps. He knows how to ply it but I'm still learning. Wish I caught the ladies name at the table but she was super AWESOME in teaching me/telling me how to play. Very patient & friendly. I had fun! Drink lady was great too! She kept coming over & making sure we were good. I had to go get a new players card because I had an old one & lady at the counter was nice & even one of the ladies @ the cashier counter was nice too when I went to cash out my chips. One star for this casino not having any seltzers. Luckily the drink lady told me they had them at the store & I as able to go buy some & drink it at the table. I even grabbed my friend a tall can. Their gift shop is cute. I'm such a sucker for casino gift shops & always having to walk around to see what I don't need to purchase....lol Unfortunately the gift shop is not owned by the casino so you can't get points on your player's card in here. Cashier was nice, young girl. I stayed here a few years ago after receiving a free room offer. I do like this casino but the one thing I don't like about it is it's not on the river but across the street. I like to be able to walk up & down the river when visiting other hotels. There's a nice lounge bar in here that I've hung out at before that has live music that was fun. This building reminds me of the Wizard of Oz at night because it's green & all lite up. It's always the first casino I see when driving into town. I LOVE the Wizard of Oz movie!! lol Indefinitely need to pop in here more often on my trips to Laughlin!

Yelp
Brenda is the poolside manager at Tropicana. She is a poor choice for this position. The level of customer service she possesses is very unsatisfactory. This is not the first time this individual has provided bad service. She is rude, interferes when staff are assisting clients, and micromanages every aspect she can. Come on, Tropicana, you can do better than her.

Yelp
This was our first time staying at the Tropicana in Laughlin and we stayed two nights. As a Caesars Rewards member I was impressed with the quick check in, clean casino and nice pool area. Unfortunately, the room did not live up to our standards and I expected better as a loyal member of their Rewards program. The website and room description promised two comfortable clean chairs. We were given one and it looked like it was taken from a dump. It was extremely well used. We refused to sit on it. The missing chair was supposed to be a place to rest and see the view from. Instead, that side of the room was bare and we did not have enough chairs for both of us. Be wary when staying here. I am seriously considering not returning. Believe me, I did not feel valued nor rewarded.

Yelp
I took photos of the very dusty room. You can clearly see the dust on the furniture, i.e., desk, chairs, dresser and the bed headboard. 2 of the pillow cases were smelly "STINKY BODY ODOR/SWEAT". It was disgusting. The pictures were taken so I can show them to the front desk, when I requested a change of room.

Yelp
This place is a dump! Only stayed here because it was comped. Hotel manager was in professional and had zero care and concern along with no customer service skills, Stay at your own risk

Yelp
So bad and run down. The tv didn't work at all. We called the front desk twice. They said they were sending an engineer. Three nights went by and nobody came. They charge resort fees for these amenities.

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin. Look I understand it's Laughlin and the nicest hotel out there doesn't exist but I don't ask for much. Tropicana is a legendary name and property there is one in Vegas and you have several others across the US. I didn't have high expectations but when you see pictures of how your room is supposed to look online and you get there and it isn't well then that's a problem I like to call getting photofished, and like my boyfriend says it happens to me allot. I booked this property on booking.com for a stay from Sunday 8/26/22 to Monday 8/29/2022 for my friends birthday weekend. We live in Vegas so the drive was nothing we got there at 2p and parked in the garage walked inside and walked all the way across the casino to registration there was no line that should have been a sign, when I go to check in she didn't even ask for my ID just my last name, didn't even ask for the credit card I booked with, I though my weird, she didn't make small talk with us or anything just had us pay the deposit and handed the keys over. They gave us a room on the 3rd floor, wow lowest floor I have stayed on ever the hallways are so outdated the color they chose for the doors looks like a motel we get in the room and it smells musty like it hasn't been used there were cobwebs on the ceiling blowing in the wind from the air conditioner scuff Marks on the walls from everyone's shoes. My boyfriend went to use the bathroom and the toilet wouldn't flush he took the lid off and the chain detached from the plug he went to reattach it and noticed 5 other broken chains just hangin at the bottom like engineering or facilities couldn't scoop those out? He ended up fixing it. Above the shower head was a hole growing in the ceiling with some black mold, I gave it two stars for the comfortable bed and they actually had hot water, the room was beyond outdated and the artwork well the Laughlin river lodge has the same so they must have gotten it at a discounted rate. Overall would not stay here again.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Tropicana and was disappointed that they would not provide me with my military discount. I am a 100% disabled veteran and asked about the discount when I called to make the reservations. I was told by the representative that he could not apply the discount and said to mention it when I arrived and checked in. The representative at the front desk was not able to apply the discount as well and said that she would speak to a manager and get back to me. I was getting the run around and I am disappointed in how the Tropicana treats military veterans and will not plan to stay there again.

Yelp
Horrible experience overall. To check in was a disaster only one person at the service desk and the check in kiosk was broken so made the wait about 45 min. After waiting they tell me my room was not ready since I had paid for the premium. After coming back 3O minutes as instructed and stood in line again I was told it was still not ready at this point I asked to get a regular room but was told it was worth the wait. After waiting an hour and a half for our room we realized it was the same exact thing as a regular room. My family who got a regular room even got a refrigerator and we didn't ! The room also looked dirty. Stains everywhere! The elevator lines were ridiculous! The arcade was close by 8 pm ! Paid the cabana fee and got no service Overall I don't recommend this hotel especially when there is so many other options.
