I've walked by so many times, and finally had a reason to go when a friend of a friend was singing on Tuesday night(s).
This place is so cute and cozy and quaint--you walk in an automatically feel cozy, welcomed, and part of a charming group of chill weekday live music-listeners. The place is small but comfortable with couches, good chairs, and string lights.
There was just one guy serving the place, and it honestly made it feel so welcoming and neighborhood-y. He was very efficient and kind, and knew a lot about the wine offerings.
The reason this place isn't a 5 for me is because it's a bit out of my price range to visit on a regular basis. It's good wine, yes, and of course they have to mark it up to be able to stay up and running. But at average $13 a glass or $55 a bottle, it's for a little bit older crowd than us early 20s cheap girls. However, the waiter was very kind to tell us about the off-menu specials they do--when they rotate the menu, the ones that go off the menu are offered at $40 a bottle. We split between 5 girls and each paid $8, which is what you'd pay at any other place. PLUS it was really good vino.
The decor is cozy, like a coffee shop but for fall and winter weeknights when you need a glass of wine. They have tons of books around about anything from astronomy to happiness to artifacts from India. They also have a bunch of records and even Cards Against Humanity.
Troubadour has live music every single night, which ROCKS. I highly recommend Lora who sings on Tuesday nights. The group that sings before her are a blast too. Good for coming to unwind and relax!
