"With sister locations in Alameda and Berkeley, this casual eatery serves up fresh, seasonal Greek fare. Flavorful wraps, stuffed with meat and fresh veggies, share the menu with seafood entrees including seared Ahi tuna and grilled salmon. For a traditional Greek dish, try the beef, lamb, or chicken souvlaki, served with rice, grilled veggies, and tzatziki salad, or the pastitsio, featuring layers of macaroni pasta with ground beef in tomato sauce, topped with bechamel." - Linda Childers

Absolutely great food!!! The onions rings on the side were some of the best I've ever eaten. The portion was ample enough to share and so good,I forgot to take a picture until after they were gone!!

Weve been here a few times now and the food is always spectacular! The salmon, both times i got it was perfectly cooked and wasnt dry at all. The rice is very well cooked as well and also has a really nice and interesting flavor to it, like it's not just plain rice. The tomato was SO juicy and flavorful, and it was all just really good. The service was also very friendly and the food came out rather quickly. My lentil soup was also very delicious and and was cooked just right, and the seasoning was balanced. The outdoor seating area is also beautiful and feels very authentic. So yah I definitely recommend this place!

An Amtrak layover for me. First time in this city. A lady at the Chamber of Commerce recommended it to me. Walking distance from the train station. I had the large Gyros. The meat was seasoned wonderfully. Yet, that beautiful meat taste was overcome by excessive lettuce. Thereby, not having as much meat as other places. When I go back I will take off the majority of the lettuce, but I still take issue with the lack of a good quantity of meat. The first picture is after I cut it in half. Another patron had the Greek fries which looked wonderful. I will go back and try them with another dish, but as far as the Gyros, not enough meat for the price. But let me state clearly...what meat was present was absolutely wonderfully tasty.

Popped in for lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious. Calamari could’ve been a bit more crispy. The lamb and beef were very juicy and tender. The chicken wrap was super good per usual. Greek fries were also ordered and were hot and crispy, great job! The sauces they provided were a tasty touch to the food. I recommend ordering a pitcher of water for the table.

Came back to dine in after previous experience with take out. Brought friends. Staff is very friendly. Clean and bright atmosphere. Welcomed us with our two well behaved dogs. Sat in the covered patio. Wood chairs and benches could use cushions. Kind wait staff brought water for our pups and us, which was nice after a long walk. Food was fresh and delicious and authentic; we cleaned our plates even though we probably should have left some for tomorrow's lunch ;). Only disappointment was the baklava desert. At a glance we thought it was a chocolate variation, but one bite revealed it was burnt on the bottom layers. It was a bit of a let down after such a lovely meal. When we brought it to the attention of the staff we thought they might replace the pieces or at least take all or half off our bill for the desert, but they didn't offer. Nevertheless, we would return and bring our Greek family sometime in the future.

Google
The food was good. The sauce especially the green one is spicy. Do ask for it as it elevates the dish. The staff is very polite. We had Greek salad, side of grilled salmon, falafel wrap and metza platter.

Google
Very deceptive facade. The interior is nothing like one would expect from the wrought iron gates out front. Very clean, modern and well-lit. The staff was friendly. I’ll be back.

Google
Great food. Went out with 6 people. All were very complimentary of the food. The gyro was awesome. Spanikopita was perfect. Desserts were also sooo good. Baklava and Tuxedo Cake...yum!

Yelp
One of the best places to eat in Martinez! The moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you're part of the family. The food is a perfect blend of authentic Greek flavors and fresh ingredients, each dish made with care and bursting with flavor. Their lamb souvlaki is grilled to perfection, tender and flavorful, while the gyros are packed with savory goodness. The tzatziki sauce is always creamy and refreshing, and their dolmades are a must-try! Whether you're craving a hearty meal or just want a quick bite, Troy's menu has something for everyone.

Yelp
came in during my jury duty lunch break. it took awhile before anyone came over to greet me, so i helped myself to a menu from a neighboring table. fortunately i wasn't in a rush, so wasn't too bothered about it. food came out fast. i got the gyro platter which was yummy! they also offered two hot sauces. not sure if they make it in house? use sparingly, they're hot! chatted with staff for a little, who said a lot of jurors come dine here so they try and get you out the door fast just in case, but it looked like lots of locals too!

Yelp
OMG OMG YESSSS QUEENS!!! Let's see who today we have on the chopping block!!! It's TROY Greek Cuisine!!! So this establishment is located in downtown Martinez a few blocks away from the court house. Yes I know what was the Dendingers doing around this area? Well peeps can't say much just came to support a great friend. What better support than with amazing food right? Hmmm let's dig in. So we will start off with the outside of the restaurant for starters the front of it was neat clean and straight! Nothing in the ground and definitely no weird people outside. As you make your way to the door you see on the left and right side outdoor seating. For those who just want to enjoy this HOT summer then yes outside seating is available. Walking inside you are greeted by all the staff. You are asked "would you like to be seated outside or inside your choice" we opted in for inside as it was wayyyy too hot for us. So we sat down and this little room that had this amazing wall painting. The seats were very comfy and spacious so yes for those who are in the lovable side there are seats for us. As we looked over the menu not even 1 min we had fresh water in-front of us without asking for it so yesss amazing customer service. As we all looked through the menu I saw amazing food I've never heard of or eaten so I was excited. Yes queens first time eating Greek food so to quote Adele "go easy on me" I decided I would try this grilled chicken with rice grilled veggies and a side of Taziki yogurt never thought I would be having yogurt with my meal but OMG it gets better. For drinks I decided to go with the sour cherry Greek soda and a margarita. The soda at first tasted like Robitussin but after pouring it in the iced cup it tasted like hibiscus soda. It was such an amazing taste I was about to order a full 6 pack of this amazing soda so yes don't eww it till you try it the margarita was good it was just how I like them super strong. I must say I got to love the speedy service this restaurant has. We put our order in and with in 5-8 min we all had our dish in front of us. Like I said I went with the grilled chicken with rice and stuff. Another when with the grilled shrimp salad with no onions, another went with the melitzano wrap and the other one went with a chicken wrap. All with no onions. When I say the food smelled delicious I'm exaggerating as to how amazing it smelled. Now for the moment of truth did the Dendingers love the dish....... Drum roll please prrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... YES QUEENS THE DENDINGERS LOVED THE MEAL AND WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK FOR ANOTHER AMAZING DISH!!! I've never knew that Greek food was soooo fresh and amazing. I must say I was wanting more of that yogurt and more of the pita at this point I just wanted a whole new plate. Now for the dessert yes as you know we do have a sweet tooth well I do so I decided to order a baklava. As soon as this dessert came out I just took a look of it and just knew it was going to be amazing and yes it was just the perfect amount of honey and crunch. This is definitely a spot to go to with family and friends. Thank you guys so much for making this day special for all of us. The Dendingers approve of this place and definitely will come back every time we can.

Yelp
I came to Martinez to visit a friend. This was the best tzatziki I have ever had. The flavor, service and ambiance was beyond any expectation. I cannot wait to come back here!

Scott H.

Yelp
Ecstatic that this Troy is as good as the one in Alameda. I've eaten at the Alameda location for years, first time in Martinez. Food and service were textbook perfect. Lambsouvlaki could not have been better cooked to perfection. Fried calamari the best anywhere. French fries also cooked to perfection requested extra crispy. UltraFresh. Dining room clean, comfortable, large, and bright. Bathroom spotless. Ran into a friend who lives local. Great to see the locals realized the hidden gem they've got right in their city.

Rosa Y.

Yelp
The food here is so GOOD. This has become my favorite Greek restaurant in the area. Far better than Nick the Greek.

Kathleen Y.

Yelp
My cousin and I came here on a Tuesday night around 6:15pm. Not too many people dining in for dinner, so there was plenty of seating available. We were immediately greeted when we entered the door, and we opted for some seating on the left side of the building, away from the bar. Alyssa was our server and she was fantastic! Friendly, attentive, and hilarious. We loved her! She gave us suggestions and here's what we ended up getting: Dolmas - tangy, refreshing, and delicious with tzatziki sauce (9/10) Spanikopita - flaky, crispy dough with savory feta and spinach inside. Heavenly! (9/10) Plain fries - weren't really feeling like having seasoned fries, so we asked for them plain. Solid! (8/10) Mediterranean Plate - came with chicken shawarma, rice, salad, pita, and hummus. Definitely shareable between two people if you're getting other menu items, but a perfect serving for one on its own. Absolutely phenomenal! (10/10) We had such a good experience here, and really enjoyed the food Troy had to offer! It was a pretty quiet night when we came, so it was easy to have a flowing conversation throughout dinner. The tables are nicely spaced out in the dining area to the left, so it's a little more intimate and is a great place to eat and chat with your party. If you want a more lively experience, I would sit by the bar so you could interact with others around you. All in all, Troy's food and staff are incredible. Such a gem in Martinez, and should be on your routine roster of places to eat!

Yelp
Troy Greek Cuisine is a favorite of ours because they are consistent. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. Portions are substantial and we usually are asking for a container to go...maybe I order too much lol. Their servers are alway polite and attentive. Troy is always super clean and has many seating options. They have a nice patio area if you like fresh air. You can belly up to the bar, eat and watch a game on the tv, there are also a few tables in that particular area. There is also a large seating room that can accommodate larger parties. During our last visit we ordered the Meza Platter to share and we each had Falafel Wraps, Lori the small and I the large. As fore mentioned, I took half home. We also had some delicious hot (Greek?) tea. I'm looking forward to our next trip to Troy Greek Cuisine.

Yelp
I was surprise with this restaurant located in Martinez, CA.... This city is really under-rated.... There are a lot to see and one of which is good restaurants to visit. The food ... absolutely scrumptious and serving balance with vegetables seems healthy eating. I enjoyed my visit - only observation is servers passes the buck to others instead of acknowledging what the customer requires. The experience with personnel at a restaurant surely adds the joy and time spent that makes the food more appetizing.

Geanr L.

Yelp
What a delightful restaurant with a vibrant staff and contented diners. Great waiter & bar man who recommended the gin, & waiter who recommended my dish. The appetizer combo platter is perfect & the best Klamata olives ever. Will come here again and soon. Every one thought the humus the best ever tasted.

Zasha E.

Yelp
I always order the Greek salad with the salmon. It is absolutely delicious. The ingredients are fresh. The fish is tender, flaky, incredibly flavorful. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was attentive, and held a great conversation with everybody there. It has a very welcoming atmosphere, and the place is clean. I also ordered Beef Souvlaki which was not my favorite. The beef did not have much flavor. The rice was dry and the vegetables also did not have great seasoning. Everything else was delicious, especially the halloumi cheese appetizer.

Bob W.

Yelp
I split the moussaka with my wife, who got a lamb gyro. The moussaka had just fabulous flavor. The rice was fluffy, it was just a great dish. The lamb wrap was one of the best I've ever had. Cute little place, good service, we will definitely be back. Worth the drive just for those wraps!

Yelp
Our party of 7 was very happy with our early dinner meal here. 5:30pm on a Saturday. Still plenty of street parking and open tables, though we did have reservation. Lamb / Beef / Chicken Souvlaki - we ordered one of each and they were all delicious. Meat was tender and flavorful. Loved the other items that came on the plate -- the rice, grilled veggies, tzatziki sauce. Made for a light dish, though portions were generous enough for us all to feel stuffed. Gyro platter - Came with the same sides as above. Good gyro albeit a little salty, though most gyro meat is for me. I preferred the souvlaki though. Lamb Kapama - braised lamb in tomato sauce over rice. Very tender and flavorful again, though heavier than the souvlaki since it had a lot of sauce and no veggies. Greek salad with falafels - generous portion. Falafels were fantastic. My husband said he usually finds falafels on the dry side but these were moist and delicious even without any dipping sauce. Onion rings were satisfying. Sakanaki (grilled cheese with capers and tomatoes) was interesting and something I enjoyed trying. They offer a green and red hot sauce. Both delicious, but I found the food flavorful enough that I didn't need to add them. Service was good. We didn't have to wait long for anything. Mandatory 18% gratuity added to parties of 5 or 6 (can't remember), which is fairly standard. I did appreciate that our waitress pointed this out when she presented the check to us. So many restaurants add it without mentioning it, and then you might end up tipping more than you intended if you're not paying attention. Overall, superb Greek food. Very pleased. Wish we had room for dessert!

Slava C.

Yelp
Very hesitant in between three and four . Nice service and delicious food, however, please need to have some tuneup done to it. It calls for renovation, especially the bar counter. Place gets really busy during the lunch hour with no table availability on the regular working day. Got noticed by the host and was seated by the kitchen bar facing the blending machine. The counter was beat from the side and didn't have a pleasant look. Service was very pleasant and curious as to constantly asking if I need anything. Recommended lamb was very tender and melted while eating. Zucchinis on the side were perfectly done as well. Definitely ask for that house sauces to complete your meal. With all being said, will be looking forward to coming back and upgrading the star rating to higher.

Yelp
Been a few times. My favorites are the garlic fries and wraps. Usually pick up orders. Service is great. Prompt and friendly staff.

Yelp
So I used to be a fairly picky eater as a kid and up until this point, I don't think I'd ever tried Greek food, but dude. When I tell you this is one of my FAVORITE things ever in the whole world to eat now, trust. My server was a sweetheart, the outside dining area where my family and I sat was super nice and dog friendly too :) They even turned the ceiling heater on for us. I got the lamb souvlaki platter (I hope I spelt that correctly) and everything was yummy. I also ordered the Greek sour cherry soda, and had a dessert, some sort of cheesecake with maybe caramel/honey glaze? Overall, great food and experience!

Monica Bianca N.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came to Troy's for an early dinner. We asked to sit outside, because we brought our puppy with us. They accommodated us fairly quickly and brought us water for our puppy. We ordered food. Everything was fairly good. I liked the fried calamari, but it wasn't very crispy at all. It was soft. A huge spoonful of garlic was placed on top, but I would have preferred it to be tossed in it to be spread out. I ordered the pastitsio platter to try something new. When it came out, it was a good amount of food. I enjoyed it but definitely wished there was more tomato sauce or something. The kefta kabob platter was recommended by the server, because it had a lot of meat. When I came out, we were slightly disappointed it only had one kabob of meat. It was very flavorful though. Tasted delicious. The service was a bit lacking. We were so parched with no more water left, and no one checked on us until the end of the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. Really cute. Will come back to try other things.

Jerry T.

Yelp
I love Troy's in person. Great food, great service, fantastic ambiance. However we had a DoorDash coupon and ordered that way. NEVER AGAIN. Ordered two Gyros, in the comments we asked for sides of both the red and green hot sauces, as they were offered nowhere else in Door Dash. We got no sauces. The sauces are legendary.... I've even bought large sides of their sauces in restaurant. So disappointing! I could only imagine what would happen if we had a food allergy. Also ordered Garlic fries, because they were so good last time we ate in restaurant. They are usually crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Thats not what you get when you order delivery. They were barely cooked through. Not close to crispy, or fluffy. I'll be back to Troy, but only ever in person. The Door Dash option sucks. You can't even order DoorDash for pickup, only delivery. We would have gladly picked up, and made sure we at least had the sauces. Lesson learned. I don't know if they were just having an off night, or they just don't care about the Door Dash orders, but I won't order through DoorDash again from here. It just tarnishes the brand regardless of who is to blame.

Julia L.

Yelp
Troy's has the best falafel wrap that I've ever tasted. The wrap is soft, fresh, and not too thick. There was a balance of the amount falafel, veg, and sauce. Their homemade sauces enhances everything which is available in their sauce containers when dining in. The red one is their hot sauce which is mild and then there's a green tahini sauce (I believe that's what it is). I also got a falafel entree which I feel wasn't worth ($16). What was disappointing is that the grilled vegetables only comes with half of a small tomato and 2 small zucchini slices which is too small of a portion for an entree. I would have liked at least twice that amount or more grilled veg variety. The service was ok. You can tell from the older staff they have more customer experience than the younger staff who seem like they're in high school just putting half effort. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Outdoor heaters are available which is always a plus for me.

Sandra V.

Yelp
I've been here a few times. I usually stop by while I wait for my vehicle service. I love this place. The server was great, super friendly and talkative. The ambiance is nice. It has a pretty patio seating with shade. Indoors is a large hall with a bar and tables around it. The food is always great. I ordered the beef souvlaki and Greek tea. Both were delish and the beef portion was perfect. My platter was tasteful adding the green sauce gave it a nice spicy kick.

Sara P.

Yelp
Located in downtown Martinez so parking can be a little limited. Very nice outdoor seating set up, a few tables inside and some bar seating. Service was very friendly and relatively quick. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and was seated right away. We got Avgolemono soup - soup was not hot when it got it me. It was warm/boarder-line room temp. Not much chicken, needed more lemon flavor - 1/5 Greek salad - lettuce was crisp but tomatoes/cucumbers were not. I was not a fan of the feta they used and it didn't really taste like feta (preference would've been crumbles or block crumbles for a stronger feta taste). Dressing was ok but not what i expect in a Greek salad - it didn't seem like an olive oil based dressing. 2/5 Gyro wrap - the wrap itself was good, the gyro meat was thickly sliced vs thin shreds. Tzatziki was good. 3/5 Garlic fries - the fries are a little thicker than McDonald's or in and out and were really crispy. This made the fries themselves super good. But the garlic wasn't really strong. 3/5 Overall, I'd come back and try some other things and because the servers were friendly.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
great food for lunch or dinner. nice and helpful staff. indoor and outdoor seating options, full bar.

David C.

Yelp
We've been through a few times. It is conveniently close to the Amtrak station as well in the downtown area. Service/bartenders always checked in frequently, water refills were good. They were friendly and answered any questions we had about things. On occasion they'll also have live music playing just outside. I had gotten the falafel wrap, a side of grilled veggies, and the lentil soup. On another occasion I had ordered the mousaka. I'd say the dishes that worked best were the mousaka and the grilled veggies. The flavors overall are simple, and cooked well. The grilled veggies had just enough seasoning and were cooked perfectly. The mousaka had good layers of flavor throughout though I wish I had had a bit more of it. Also, they have a red house made sauce to pour over things so much like the menu directs, definitely check out their sauces. You can also get them to take home if you like and they last a while refrigerated.

Young B.

Yelp
Another day of jury duty, another chance to explore a new place for lunch. We ate inside, and the waitress was very understanding about our 2-hour plan for lunch. Food arrived quickly and was tasty. I especially loved the Greek fries. They were amazing. My falafel wrap had not too much flavor but I added one of the sauces at the table and it was fine.

Danielle N.

Yelp
Food is amazing! All the staff I interacted with were friendly. It did take a minute to get seated and get the bill but overall great experience and very reasonable pricing! The outdoor area is lovely!

Rocky Mark J.

Yelp
We didn't intend to have dinner here, but really glad that we did! We initially were in the area to try a dessert place nearby. We came on a Saturday evening where they closed down the streets, w/ lots of live performances at different restaurants. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence, but it's a great ambiance in Martinez that'll have us coming back in the future. We decided to eat at Troy because 1) We enjoy Mediterranean food 2) We wanted to enjoy the performance right outside its front doors Food was great! We got the Hummus, Garlic Fries as appetizers. We also got the Beef Souvlaki and a side of Gyro meat - I am impressed w/ the portions and look forward to trying more of their menu in the future.

Rick A.

Yelp
Fantastic prices and food awesome place. Ordered the ribeye gyro and it was unbelievable

Daunah L.

Yelp
I ate here a couple of weeks ago. Had some wine and food. It was later in the night 8:50 I think. It wasn't super busy but full of energy . I was hungry so I got food immediately. Gyro was pretty good. Nice spot. Good service. Friendly and attentive.

Olga R.

Yelp
Forgot what I ordered but it was delicious, worth sharing, we went for lunch on a Friday, there was no waiting, but they were busy. I order an entry of lamb and sirloin. Customer service was good , food was amazing, and the restaurant is nice and clean. Great location downtown Martinez surrounded by cute antique shops. Parking is on the streets , bring quarters!

Lani K.

Yelp
So tasty! Great service and fun place. The gyro was an explosion of flavor and the lamb my oh my!!

Meilin D.

Yelp
Yummy gyros, gyso salad, crispy falafel, garlic fries, baklava and Greek tea! Great service. Patio, front room or side dining room to choose from.

Edwin F.

Yelp
Troy's is a special experience. A great Greek restaurant where the selection and prices are so value! Their Gyro Wraps were delectable and so fresh. It far outweighs most other Greek restaurants I've been to. Being able to compare their wraps to others, Troy's hands down beats the rest because of the flavor, texture, and presentation. The staff was great too! Talking to the cashier and just being able to learn more about what they specialize in, while also exchanging banter tells me that they have a great staff overall and they enjoy their jobs.

Karen C.

Yelp
I was in Martinez recently and stopped here for lunch. I sat at the bar and had a nice lunch. The bartender was helpful and quick. I order the Chicken Souvlaki Wrap: Grilled Chicken, Tzatziki, lettuce , tomatoes, grilled onions. This was really good. Its a large portion. Lots of good toppings. Love the tzatziki. Liked both the red and green sauces to put on top. The green was very spicy but I liked it. Overall a nice meal and a nice place. Clean restrooms too.

Lorenzo K.

Yelp
I've always gone to the alameda location. Loved the food there for years! Learned that this location is the same as the Alameda location. I brought my wife here to try Troy fit the first time! All our food was as good as always! I highly recommend Troy when you're looking for good Greek food.

A. C.

Yelp
Their menu is a tribute to the rich tapestry of Greek cuisine, boasting an array of authentic dishes crafted with passion and tradition. Indulge in tender souvlaki skewers, perfectly charred. Dive into a plate of moussaka, layers of eggplant, minced meat, and béchamel sauce, baked to golden perfection. Their attentive service ensures that every moment of your dining experience is infused with warmth and care. From the moment you walk through the door, their friendly staff welcomes you with genuine hospitality, guiding you through the menu. The ambiance is a fusion of rustic charm and modern elegance. I loved eating on a the open air patio.

Greg A.

Yelp
TROYS in Martinez is a hidden gem for Greek cuisine. The food is amazing and the service is outstanding. We had a delicious Greek Salad and Gyro for lunch and were blown away by the flavors. Highly recommend this place.

J L.

Yelp
This review is for May 2023. The $11 price is pretty high for a Troy Greek Salad. The salad portion was not that much. If you want to add Beef, it's is an additional $9 and if you want to add a Seared Ahi Tuna to your salad is an extra $11. Rocky Road Cheese Cake is $8 and it's pricey too.

Marcel M.

Yelp
Food was good but service is slow. Our waitress was not attentive! Most disappointing, there were no options for kid's meals. (No kid's menu) I asked our waitress if we could order a half order of French fries for our son. She asked the manager and he said no. I thought.....business is business. How much is their cost for fries? We'll go somewhere else next time There's to much competition with good restaurants in such a small area. I'm giving 4 stars for the food but I'd really rate it 3 stars overall.

Linda R.

Yelp
We were told about Troy Greek restaurant by a friend, who is Greek. She highly recommended it. Cute place in downtown Martinez. Friendly staff and delicious food. We started out sharing a Greek salad, yum. I always love a Greek salad. Simple and delicious. We also tried the Avgolemono soup (lemon and chicken soup). It was so good. On a cold night it was perfect comfort food. We both had the Gyros wrap. So good. The meat was flavorful and tender. I really love the combination of beef and lamb. We will definitely be back.

Kristen B.

Yelp
I have been here many times, before Covid. Yesterday will be my last visit. The service was friendly when our waitress bothered to show up. i had to hunt for her to get the check. She took our order, delivered the food and disappeared. She was at the bar eating a chocolate covered frozen banana instead of checking if we needed anything. I ordered a lamb dish. When it came, it was not lamb but shredded beef. The kuparna, moussaka and pastitsio were almost unbearably salty, obscuring any other flavors. For $20 a plate, I expected the food to be as described and flavorful... the way it used to be.

noralea g.

Yelp
Their food is fresh, well prepared, and I can always go there and eat a Weight Watchers diet. I can easily choose items, low points there, knowing it's all delicious. So all you Weight Watchers out there you gotta come here and check it out.

Janice Q.

Yelp
We ordered to go between kids' appointments.. we always get this Chicken Shawarma. Delicious!! We also high recommend their gyro platter and garlic fries but I need to loss a lot of weight so sadly have to skip it this time

Lauren T.

Yelp
This place is a go to for my family. It's good food, friendly and quick service, super accommodating. Love this place!

Greg J.

Yelp
Pretty good, but is really expensive for what you get. $23 for 6 bites of lamb, 2 pieces of zucchini, 1 tomato, 1 pita, and rice. Definitely won't be ordering a plate from here again, but will probably try other things from here in the future.

Ed U.

Yelp
Martinez looks to have a small but happening dining scene, and in coming here, I didn't know I was completing the Troy trifecta. Y'see, I've been to their locations in Alameda and North Berkeley, so the familiarity of the food must have appealed to me. Plus this looked to be THE place to dine out in Downtown Martinez because the patio and dining room were pretty full for a late afternoon. After taking a long walk on the shoreline, I figured I was entitled to a hearty Greek meal. Bring on the pita. Oompah! I ordered the $14 Athenian Chicken Salad which appeared to be a Greek version of a Waldorf salad with romaine, apples, walnuts, chicken, feta, and a balsamic vinaigrette (photo: https://bit.ly/3sp8aop). It was a nice combination of flavors with the apple chunks providing a welcome crunch. On the side I went for the $10 Saganaki, which consisted of slices of grilled halloumi cheese mixed with capers, tomato, and mint lemon sauce (photo: https://bit.ly/3g8Dral). This was the best of my Troy experiences probably because I finally figured out what to order. Oompah! FOOD - 4 stars...if you go with the Athenian Chicken Salad and Saganaki, you can be assured a good meal AMBIANCE - 4 stars...pretty convivial SERVICE - 4 stars...pretty thoughtful here TOTAL - 4 stars...familiar local Greek spot finds an ideal spot in Martinez RELATED - Exploring this part of Contra Costa? Yelp
We had falafels and garlic fries to start and were impressed with both. Falafels were cooked to perfection and light inside. Fries had perfect brown crispness. We also had the Mediterranean plate and it was fantastic! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Always great service. Food is amazing. Pretty much everything on the menu I've had is delicious. Not too expensive either. Outdoor seating is a very calming area.

Yelp
Food was so amazing! Fresh delicious and nice size portions. We had the Mezze platter which was so yummy! We also tried the chicken souvlaki wrap which was filled with chicken breast. Can't wait to come back and try more menu items!

Yelp
My friend who lives in Martinez told me this was one of the best places to eat in Martinez. So we went there for dinner. I got dolmas and a falafel gyro and I loved it. First meal was so good that one week later I was back again. I got another falafel gyro and this time I got spanakopita. Both were delicious. I really like this place, very fresh, very healthy and super delicious. Thumbs up for cool staff.
