this is the second time I'm at this location, but I used to frequent them in Boca when they were in Boca. I went in today to have some lunch and ordered two rib platters, one with rice and one with fries. The service was OK, the cashier was accommodating, but there was an older gentleman that didn't seem like he wanted to be bothered by anybody. I didn't realize they put silver on the table, but I did go up, asking for silverware for both dinners and the man handed me one silverware for two, which I thought was kind of awkward, like what's he hiding the silverware for. In any case, I didn't come for him, I came for the food!
now I will say the comparison of food from Boca to Boynton Beach is day and night. Both of the food was delicious, the collard greens were amazing, but at this location, the ribs were just OK. I'm guessing it's because they didn't have time to cook long enough to become soft, so I would avoid lunch at this place and try it again for dinner. The food wasn't bad, but it's nowhere near what Boca was. The collard greens I did not like at this location, but love them at the other location. I also had french fries and an order of rice. You can't mess up french fries, so they were pretty good. During the ordering process, I asked if the ribs had a sweet taste to them because my girlfriend doesn't like anything sweet. They said it did not, but it actually did, and we were forced to order a hamburger. They didn't offer to do anything about it, but then again customer service comes into play and they're not obligated to do anything. The hamburger was a typical hamburger and it was good; that was probably the only positive without any negative towards the visit. Parking was simple, the ambience is typical for this type of restaurant. I will try them again, but they're in the evening, but they'll never catch me there during the day again.
