Best ever holiday. Breath-taking views. Ice cream to die for. Such helpful and cheerful hosts. Heaven.

Stunning location by the sea. Quiet, good value for money, clean, free charging facilities. Quite exposed to the elements. Pub only does food from 12.30-2pm and 6-8pm- but it is nice. Post office very expensive and coastguards cafe expensive too. I turned up and just got left to it. Was not sure what to do? Didn't find people that friendly or helpful. Very confusing trying to sort out boat trips to other islands as you were supposed to look the times up on social media- but most of the time at the campsite there was no Internet connection. Other islands have boards with times on. Came away feeling disappointed, frustrated however if there was more information available this would have been avoided.

Had the best fortnight at the Troytown campsite. Besides the best ice creams, which are made there, the views are better than anywhere I've ever been! ||To wake up in the morning & watch the seals bobbing about from my bed was a real treat. ||||The facilities were very good! Hot showers (£1 for 3mins), washing machine & dryer available. ||Location: just behind the beach with the waterspouts available onsite. A 10-20min walk from a lovely cafe, very good shop, handmade pizzas (Covevean) & a pub (the Turk's Head). ||Day trips to other islands available.||||Value for money: cannot fault it. I took my own tent & paid £17 including the dog. They also hire out bell tents that come with everything you'll need. ||||Wifi: to keep up-to-date with the local information (boat times etc) it's useful have have wifi... & it was free! ||||The people who run it are always very friendly & helpful.||||I will definitely be going back! Loved it!

For one amazing week, we lived in a tent on an Ice Cream farm, overlooking the most amazing sunsets, lovely beaches. I loved every minute. Snorkeling, rock scrambling, and exploring rock pools. The views all around in the area are unspoilt and spectacular. You can do a short walk or a long trek twisting around the island... And while the island is small, it is big on features and it is so easy to just find your own private space and relax. Everyone at Troytown was incredibly nice, and they handled the logistics of getting our camping gear to and from the campsite to make our arrival and departure a breeze.

Love this ice cream. It's the best I've ever tasted and I've tasted a few. The white chocolate was amazing as was the peanut butter and vanilla. So pleased you can buy it in a few places on the islands.

Ideal scenic camping location! The inquisitive seals came quite close to the our camp site for a little nosy to the delight of the kids! I recommend the ice-cream on this farm. It is the BEST Ice-cream, I have ever had! Also, the staff were very friendly. 5 🌟

Probably one of the best campsites in the UK - hence the reason it gets booked up so quickly. Absolutely stunning location right on the beach, with the wild Atlantic stretching out before it. Utterly unspoilt working farm with top notch facilities, lovely staff and endless ice cream. Tons to do in the area - everything on this tiny island in easy walking distance. A quiet corner of heaven.

Our first visit to Troytown Farm Campsite and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we arrived off the ferry we were greeted by Sam who took out kit leaving us to make our way to camp. We stayed in a bell tent which was very well equipped. We came with our 8 month old son, a travel cot was kindly provided which saved extra luggage to travel with. The facilities were clean. The ice cream, steak, yoghurt, butter and bacon were all delicious. We waited 2 years in the end for this holiday and it was well worth the wait. We will be back. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much to ask. Thank you 😊

Yelp
Troytown Farm comprises two businesses: the campsite and the shop selling the farm's produce, which includes their famous ice cream and clotted cream. The farm has a herd of Jersey and Ayrshire cows, producing the rich milk needed for cream. The ice cream comes in 30 flavours, including rose and geranium (recommended). Bought at the farm shop, you can have a waffle cone with up to two scoops, with optional chocolate flake, caramel wedge or - for a completely indulgent and artery-clogging experience - they'll add a scoop of clotted cream. Strongly recommended.
