Some Michigan Restaurants Call to Defy Dine-In Closure as State Issues Fines, License Suspensions | Eater Detroit

"A Trenton restaurant that protested the governor's administration and the indoor dining restrictions through a public display—pinning a Grinch inflatable with a sign criticizing the governor—rather than by simply reopening indoor dining." - Brenna Houck

Tiffany is waiting on us this morning. Ordered corn beef hash skillet, scrambled eggs, turkey avocado, romaine lettuce, fried egg, coffee. $38.11 Reasonably priced. The cinnamon French toasts are hard and chewy, one side is burnt on every slice of the toast. Don't think they were soaked long enough in the egg wash at all. They only have syrup, not maple syrup here. The first turkey avocado croissant didn't have any romaine lettuce and the egg was undercooked and runny. The corn beef hash skillet was blah, corn beef looked like deli sliced meat. My husband wished there were more veggies. The second croissant sandwich was good. The egg was fried nicely. Deli turkey meat was slightly refried on the griddle maybe. This was better for me with the honey mustard. Wasn't fond of the gelatinous cilantro lime vinaigrette at all. Took a bit to get our bill and card run through to pay. Service and most of the food was average, reminded myself it's a bar after all. The bathroom is big for it being a single stall bathroom. It's well maintained.

Went to Truago with my family for my Birthday and had a great experience! The restaurant felt nice and inviting and the staff matched. They had a great selection of cocktails and they made a nice tasting virgin cocktail for my girlfriend which was almost better than mine haha. My family all enjoyed their food and ate everything. A great spot to go downriver!

Another fantastic experience! I've used another account to review in the past (9 months ago), but this was another experience that exceeded expectations so I didn't want to just update as I have before. Aiden was a breath of fresh air. Truly very kind, attentive, honest in his opinions, and helpful. We really enjoyed talking to him (and Kate!) while we were here. Aiden initially met us at the host stand and was very attentive; he greeted us and then quickly cleaned off a table on the patio. In the short time we were waiting, a very nice young lady with blond hair also greeted us. Once we were seated, Aiden offered us drinks and appetizers, and then checked on the bread for our table. I inquired about the fall drink menu rollout - Aiden spoke to Kate to ask when Truago was planning to switch to the fall drink menu. While it's not quite ready to be advertised yet, she came out to greet us and told me she had what she needed to make me one (okay, two 😋) of her phenomenal Pumpkin Pie martinis. 🥰🍸🎃 (I'm not a huge drinker but I love martinis, and I've been thinking about the Pumpkin Pie martini since the temperature started dropping.) For an appetizer, we ordered the spinach artichoke dip and LOVED it with the seasoned chips. The bread came out a little before the spinach dip and was fresh, hot, and so tasty - just like it has been in my 3 other experiences I've had here. I ordered the steak bites and a side of mac and cheese (again) because I'm a creature of habit - the steak bites were tender and the sauce was very flavorful, exactly as I remembered. The pita bread was the perfect compliment for dipping. The mac and cheese was creamy and such a comfort. My boyfriend offered me a bite of his Philly Cheesesteak and he almost didn't get it back - I also stole a few seasoned fries and those were very tasty. What else can I say? It's been 9 months since my first visit and Truago holds true as my favorite local restaurant. 😊

The food itself was really good, and our waitress was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and one of the highlights of the night. But for a meal where the meat alone cost around $100, I expected a much better overall experience. There were flies everywhere, and we spent most of the meal swatting them away. On top of that, the bathroom had ants, which really made me question how clean the place actually is. It’s disappointing because the service and food had so much potential, but for the price, I can’t justify recommending it until they seriously address the pest problem.

Google
Lobster grilled cheese and fries were excellent. Our server Blake was exceptional. Pleasant atmosphere. The manager was also present in the dining room checking on customers.

Google
My friend and I came in for a nice lunch since we haven’t been here before. She got the Blackened Chicken Tortellini Pasta & I got the Island Shrimp Tacos, and we couldn’t stop raving about them the entire time. So so good! Christine was our server and she was the sweetest ever. She had an amazing energy to her, and we would definitely come back just to see her. We recommend! :)

Google
Went for a late lunch early dinner on a Saturday. Service was very efficient. Food was great. Started with Spinach Artichoke dip. Had crab stuffed flounder for entree. Large portion of crab compared to the portion of flounder. Was cooked to perfection. Kids had french fries as a side and they were some of the best I've had in a long time.

Google
Fantastic dinner tonight! Hostess Kate and server Teresa really helped make my birthday special. We were sat on the covered patio, which was lovely (and heated!) I had the steak bites and a side of mac and cheese, which were both amazing. My boyfriend had the chicken parm which was to die for. To drink, I had the Pumpkin Pie Martini - it was delicious, and strong! I enjoyed a delectable slice of cheesecake for dessert. We will definitely be back soon! EDIT: another great visit in April, 2025. We ordered the same food; I ordered a Chocolate Covered Strawberry martini and it was tasty (but I miss the seasonal Pumpkin Pie martini)

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Detroit area! We were here for Mother's Day dinner and came back a week later for a birthday brunch! The staff is consistently friendly whether they are waiting room only or have open tables. Mother's Day dinner was fantastic! Prime rib, steak, and the 4-course meal were all hits. Cocktails were good (they had to remake one as they forgot a few ingredients, but once it was remade, it was excellent) For brunch - the lobster and biscuits were INCREDIBLE! The monte cristo is good, and the blueberry pancakes were very much enjoyed!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! They make you feel comfortable and the food is great. Highly recommend.

Yelp
First and foremost, I always have amazing service when I come here! I usually love this restaurant but the last two times my food has come out subpar. That was hardley any lobster in my $28 lobster Mac and cheese. Extremely confused with the price due to the lack of lobster, essentially I'm paying a lot for not seasoned home made Mac and cheese. Then the other day my perch barley had any meat on it compared to last time I got it. I asked for it blackened and it came out fried? Possibly because it looked so bare they fried it to help remedy the appearance. This is usually my usual spot to dine in, but not sure when I'll be back due to quality of food this entire week.

Yelp
Our server was very kind but if you're going to have upscale dining prices, you need upscale dining service standards and unfortunately this place just missed the mark. They have a cute patio and the restaurant inside felt clean for the most part. The food and drinks were definitely subpar. The menu was interesting. Spinach puffs were good. Probably the best part of the experience. A lot of menu items were "basil and strawberry" including drink options and they were out of basil so- two items we ordered were missing one of the main ingredients on the menu. $52 for an over salted 8oz filet and two literal dollops of potato was wild and uncalled for. The drinks were sugary and underwhelming. I'm trying to be kind and say that they have good menu ideas here, Just maybe poorly executed but honestly the menu isn't very cohesive and lacks vision. Dinner, drinks and apps $280. For the price/execution I will definitely choose a different dining establishment.

Janet D.

Yelp
Don't go here if you are gluten free. My poor friend was so sick after eating shrimp with cream sauce. I realized they had a light breading o them after my friend had eaten hers already. We've been before with same dish no problems. The staff doesn't really take it serious.

David G.

Yelp
Food was great. There were a ton of different lobster options on the menu that have me wanting to come back

Paul C.

Yelp
Our server was great. Ask for Jacob C. The food was exceptional too. Sitting outside was very pleasant. We will be back.

Yelp
We had a wedding rehearsal dinner on the covered patio on 7/10. It was wonderful!!!! The managers were helpful with all the planning and the staff was friendly & AWESOME~ food was Delish!!! Thanks it was a great time & memory!

Yelp
Food was excellent, it was a nice laid back place with friendly people to chat with. Service was excellent with the exception of the bartender who spent more time talking to a regular than waiting on tables. We had to wait for drinks and to just order, another group gave up and left. She was too busy telling the locals about how many jobs and how hard she worked to take care of guests. Once we saw the other wait staff having issues with her and being delayed, we knew it was hopeless.... Too bad, aside from that, place is a winner.

Whitney L.

Yelp
It's unfortunate that my husband and I no longer dine at Truago as we live close by and COULD have been regular patrons. The service is awful and they don't even acknowledge you when you walk in. Food is very very slow. Take out takes hours no matter what time of day/week you order. We gave them enough chances to redeem themselves and we will never go back again.

Yelp
My service was A1 everyone was extremely nice. Sat outside very beautiful atmosphere; I ordered, crab cake which was small for the price but tasted ok, could've been seasoned a little more to give it more flavor; ordered crab legs which were delicious. My guest ordered lamb chops, they were not seasoned but were a nice size. I would advise against getting the mint jelly. No disrespect but my advice to the chef would be to marinate and season the lamb chops before cooking.

Yelp
Very good service and great brunch menu. We enjoyed our meal. Bloody Mary bar was also good

Yelp
While visiting family in Riverview/Trenton, Michigan, knowing my dietary preferences Truago was my cousin's pick for dinner. There were so many options on the menu that caught my eye, it took me a long time to decide what to order. And we decided then, we'd just have to come back to try another choice and we did! The first dinner we ordered Avocado Wedges as an appetizer and the Lobster Dip at the second dinner. The Lobster Dip stole the show from everything I tried there. The first dinner I had the ahi street tacos + a side of Brussel sprouts. We sat outside on the covered patio. The second dinner I ordered the ahi poke bowl and we sat on the uncovered portion of the patio and watched a beautiful sunset. The ambience was easy and casual. The service was courteous. I look forward to a return visit to try the locally sourced from Weyand's Fishery Michigan Lake Perch Fish and Chips.

Yelp
3/24/23 had the Perch dinner from their Fish Specials during Lent. It was very good, prepared just right. Service was perfect too. I will certainly dine there again!

Yelp
Food is excellent. Went again on New Years eve not realizing they had a special menu. I had the crab stuffed flounder with lobster sauce that made my tastebuds light up. That night they had an hors d'oeuvre and dessert bar so we were able to sample things that we might not order otherwise. One friend had the Prime Rib and said it was out of this world good. Another the Lasagna which she thoroughly enjoyed. All in all a very good meal.

Yelp
We went there for brunch, and we all individually loved our food. Chicken and waffles we really good, MacDonald breakfast was awesome! Biscuits and gravy was outstanding. But the best thing on the menu for us was the cinnabun plate. Id kick a couple of kids for that dish! Our waiter was outstanding! And chef Marisa is the glue to all of this! We will come back just for her! Outstanding all around! The outdoor seating for brunch was extraordinary!

Yelp
Service was terrific. Ask for Theresa. Went off the specialty of the house (seafood) and had a mango chicken dish. A very good dish but Theresa recommended a side of siratcha sauce that made this a 10 out of 10. Also since it was slider night (Monday) had to try one of their Cherry chicken salad sliders; excellent!!! Can't wait to try some of their other ones.

Yelp
I just had the worse meal, I've had in a long time. My order was wrong so I had to wait for them to prep the correct order. When that came it was still incorrect, but I kept it. The perch eas very over-cooked and the crab cakes were very dry, they fell to pieces. I will not ever rat at Truago again. The garnish, pic attached, we awful, don't even plate this. Terrible meal, terrible service, waste of my money. Never again.

Janet B.

Yelp
Horrible. Got order wrong twice, fish was dry and inedible. The absolute worst cole slaw I have ever had. The service was terrible. Honestly the worst meal I've ever had for $130.00. The garnish was brown and wilted. Come on! Take some pride and leave it off the plate. Will never go back. Terrible

Yelp
My BFF took me here for lunch the other day and I was very impressed! The decor is very welcoming and classy. It's not a large place, so I could see it getting very busy at dinner time. She ordered a salad with chicken and I had the shrimp tacos with a side of the sprouts and their sidewinder fries. We both had iced tea to drink and it's freshly brewed and delicious! Service was great. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Megan S.

Yelp
Made a reservation for Thanksgiving day ON THEIR WEBSITE and was called by Christine the day before Thanksgiving to tell me they will be closed and cancelled my reservation. I was provided the phone number for their "sister restaurant" and told maybe I can get a reservation there with no offer of assistance. Thanks Truago, I certainly will not forget this experience.

Yelp
Hello, our son Trent, has been to the Lobsterfest for the last three years, since inception. This last year, we were unable to secure the precious LOBSTAH? I did post a picture of he and I, in front of the inflated lobster. We were the first to be turned away and it was made right tonight! When an owner or management seeks you out to make something right...It really shows you the understanding of an owner and great management! l did not see a problem with it and we were ok with the outcome. Things happen... Jeremy and TRUAGO went above and beyond! Their lil LOBSTOBERFEST Prince, got all of it and then some! This is thee epitome of customer service at its BEST!

Yelp
I love Truago! The restaurant is quaint, comfortable and intimate. Jeremy Syrocki is the owner and he also owns, Major Biddle's in Wyandotte and Lloyd's on Grosse Ile. The food is very good, great service and nice bar! Happy Hr is Monday-Friday 2-5! I heard they also have a great Sunday brunch!

Yelp
Slider Mondays rule, a copy of Green Dot Stables in Detroit. A dozen different really great Sliders only on Mondays you have to try. Great prices only 3 bucks n change each. The Perch and Nashville Chicken my favorites, also a Rueben , Philly Steak and Mahi Mahi the mystery Slider. Started with the faboulus French Onion Soup and Truffle Fries for the Win absolutely Wonderful. Great service, place packed with Happy customers around lunch hours. Only our 2nd visit since opening, gonna try again very soon. Place kinda dark for great food photos, next time I set outside in warm tent with bright light. #truago #sliders #trufflefries #frenchonionsoup #trentonmi @truago_trenton #downriverclassic #downriverfriendseat

Yelp
Cute hot spot in downtown with patio seating. Lunchtime on Black Friday - only a few people were there. The waitress was excellent and handled the whole restaurant, including hostess duties. The Yelp reviews are great, with good recommendations, which is what brought us in for a meal. The Arancini - Two large risotto balls, one sitting in a bechamel sauce and the other in a marinara. Both had excellent flavor. My only note is that the rice was slightly undercooked. Huge portion, so definitely share. The Ahi tuna tacos - three tacos for $10, in wonton shells. The portion is small, the wasabi was hot, but the flavor was great. Thankfully the arancini took care of the hunger pangs, otherwise, this wouldn't have been enough. I was really looking forward to tuna but it was a bit lost under the hit of wasabi. There is an ahi tuna appetizer that would probably have been the better way to go. Soup of the day - a very thick asparagus and broccoli cream soup. I should have ordered a cup. A bowl is a meal. The flavor was rich but a bit too thick. Gloopy even. Kicked it up with fresh cracked pepper available on the table. We were too early for happy hour. I believe it's only at the bar - which was large with plenty of seating. The waitress was sweet and a great server but I would have loved to tell her that though a nice fragrance, her perfume was too much. Each time she passed by, we got a nose full of perfume, which clashes with trying to enjoy a meal. This is very far outside of our typical radius but always like to try different places. Solid restaurant for a nice afternoon.

Alyssa E.

Yelp
The server Aiden was not very friendly. He never came back to check on us for refills or if the food was okay. The manager came by to check on us as well but didn't speak when we mentioned our concerns. My food was incorrect when they brought it out and my friends food they didn't bring any of her meat or toast for her meal. Other people with us got charged for things that came included with their meal. We did had a large party but only one server and had to pay gratuity for less service. I will definitely not be back and will not recommend to anyone. As I can also see other reviews here for the same issues. It's overrated and overpriced!
google avatar

Yelp
We went to the restaurant after church on Sunday, three of us. Once seated the server was there to take the food order, but we hadn't even seen the menu yet. I asked for coffee and my friends had water with lemon. I'm not kidding when I say, after waiting a good while, we had to call the server over and we finally got our drinks. We ordered, but the server didn't know the menu so the few questions we asked were met with a blank stare. Once ordered we waited quite a while before food arrived, there was a question about my friends request for wheat toast dry( no butter) what she got was non toasted wheat bread. My other friend ordered wheat toast with butter and got white toast. I had the breakfast mac n cheese. When ordering what kind of eggs I wanted, I asked if the eggs would be on the side or on the dish, was told, on the side. When the food arrived, the eggs were on top of the dish, ( I had asked because I would have ordered different style of eggs if on top vs on the side) we asked for jelly for the toast and had to speak with two servers and a third finally brought some. When we asked for the check, the server hovered around us, while we were still finishing up, like we were going to run... All of this is to say that management is at fault for not training the staff. This type of service failure rests on management, but puts the server in a bad position.

Yelp
Please note, I never ever write reviews... but this met the exception. Overwhelming disappointed! Please...please...please...spend your hard earned money at a different restaurant... this is unquestionably the worst restaurant I've been at in this price range and I dine out a TON. The table was sticky and filthy, the menus had crusted food stuck on them. No wonder the place was empty on a Thursday night. The onion chicken might as well been served in a trough... look at the pic yourself... my caprese salad was served with shredded mozzarella .... You deserve better... try any other place besides this one.

Hannah C.

Yelp
Specifically asked my waitress if my dish was made with flour because I have celiac disease, (gluten allergy) which I expressed, and she said no. The dish came and after taking a few bites I could tell there was flour on the chicken. The waitress couldn't have cared less that her mistake could've made me seriously ill. The manager was very kind and had the dish remade for me but the waitress was super rude and inconsiderate. Very disappointed

Abigail K.

Yelp
Great food. Good service. The atmosphere was really good vibes. Buffalo Mac and cheese was amazing! We'll definitely eat here again.

Kirsten S.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place for the first time but was sadly disappointed. While our hostess and waitress were amazing the food was terrible. Ordered their famous Brussel sprouts and I couldn't understand the hype. The onions were cold and slimy while the bacon was barely cooked. Next were the steak bites. I have never had steak that looked boiled and just thrown in a watered down sauce. When you cut into them they were gray and rubbery. I can't say that everything was bad though as the complementary basket of bread wasn't bad.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Truago yesterday (6/17/22) around 5p or 6p in the evening. The dinner crowd wasn't heavy. We didn't have to wait for a table. The hostess was not really friendly and add it seem like it was a "task" to seat us. We got to our table and no one greeted us, nor brought us water. After 10 mins of waitresses buzzing around us and not uttering a single word, we left. Truago was one of the places we really wanted to try and this was our first and LAST visit there. Total disappointment. Do better, Truago. Your guests deserve BETTER.

Dee L.

Yelp
Worst experience I have had in a long time! Ordered a cosmopolitan it was watery and had no favor or alcohol. Appetiter avocado stuffed with lobster was weird because it was grilled. The salads were a disaster. My husband had a Caesar salad that had no Parmesan and the dressing tasted like Gordon Food dressing. I had Traverse City Salad that had indicated it was with candied nuts but none found, and the dressing of raspberry vingeratte that tasted like raspberry jelly. ...yuck! When dinner came of 6 oz. Filet minogon with crab cake on top with hollandaise and a side of asparagus. I was excited. Only to be very disappointed to see the hollandaise broken and greasy. The asparagus had not been properly trim and was served with thick woody stem .... Yuck! My husband had lobster bisque soup, which tasted okay. He ordered salmon stuffed with lobster and a sauce on top. It was okay because I was starving, and I tasted it, but the sauce on top was just the lobsters bisque soup....gross!!!! Then, the awful and disgusting Filet minogon was rancid! Yes, the first bite definitely rancid! It definitely had no seasoning, not that it mattered! When I asked for the restaurant manager, he refused to deal with the situation and instead left it up the waitress! She, Brandy, was awesome trying to help. On my way out I tried to talk to the manager who was condescending and rude when I suggested that he should have the courage to talk to me and relay the issue to the chef and the kitchen staff! He said I should have more patience... really! Then, to add insult to injury, the restaurant tried to recoup their loss by trying to charge me 20.00 a glass for bar chianti and not taking the cosmo off. And before anyone judges us, we had eaten at Vault and Truago for lunch it was good, not great, but good. I was told that the manager had only been there for two weeks. In my opinion if the manager is not willing to deal with customers when a customer asks for them, then they should not be a manager! It is your job!! Never eat there again!!

Millie A.

Yelp
We had a large party (9 people) on the 4th of July and we had Abbie C. as our server. She was wonderful! She was very attentive and none of our drinks ever ran dry! She did a great job!

Yelp
Amazing food , they opened up the patio for us to have a large group after my mother in laws funeral service . Everything about this place was great from the ambiance ,service ,the food was top notch ...I'll start with our server Amanda she handled our large group like a boss , our drinks never empty at all ,every order was accurate and served fast , the patio temperature was nice with the patio heater for a 28°day , I had the fish n chips which were amazing , they have ribbon cut french fries which are awesome , the green bean almandine my gosh is super tasty . Basically everything here is worth recommending ....first class all the way

Yelp
Great spot. Good dinner specials. Friendly staff. Only complaint is that it's very loud in the dining room sometimes.

Yelp
Couldn't have been happier with the food and service at our Sunday brunch. We sat on the patio and it started to rain fairly hard. The staff moved right in and pulled down waterproof shades and moved diners that were directly in the rain. My apple cinnamon French toast and my husband's sausage skillet were perfection. Also enjoyed their Bloody Mary bar. Definitely one of our favorite brunch sites.

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying that I am not one to leave reviews...although I read them before going to a new restaurant, I never put too much stock in them because it seems that for every positive review there's a negative review and people are just crabby anyway... but I feel compelled to leave a review for Truago after my experience there on Saturday night. I had heard about this place, it had been recommended, I have been following them on Facebook, and my husband and I had been eager to try it out after seeing the menu online. We left saying 'the food was good but we won't be back.' The food was good and that's where the buck stopped. If you're looking for a finer dining experience and wanting to try someplace new, unfortunately I would skip Truago. The food and wine is extremely overpriced. Don't get me wrong, we are willing to pay top dollar for a good meal and have eaten in some of the most expensive restaurants in and around Detroit. In looking at the menu and the prices, we expected it to be a little higher end... We were we wrong. The restaurant is very noisy and feels like a bar, there was creamer and sugar and ketchup bottles on the table like a diner, water was served in plastic cups, my silverware was dirty and my husbands fork was bending as he tried to cut his prime rib. Not major complaints if you're eating in a diner, but not something you would expect when you're paying over $100 for a meal. A bottle of wine that typically cost $12 at Kroger was on the menu for $44. I understand what a wine markup looks like and that's not it. They were out of absolutely every kind of Pinot Noir that they had on the menu. My husband's prime rib, although tasty, had so much fat on it that a quarter of his plate was filled with scraps of fat when he was done. Our waitress was friendly, but she never came back to check on us after our food was dropped off. We both were in need of something and didn't have a chance to ask for it until the bill came. Ultimately, we were just very underwhelmed and felt irritated that we had spent over $100 for two entrées and one bottle of wine when we could've gone somewhere much nicer and had an atmosphere to match. I feel they need to lower their prices to match the atmosphere and service they provide.

Yelp
Started off by sitting in the covered patio. Was a little cold, but the manager immediately blasted the heat. Ended up being really cool. Ordered the special drinks. We had the Apple Caramel martini and Pumpkin Pie martini. Both were very good. I liked the pumpkin pie better. Main course was the scallops and prime rib. Both cooked to perfection. We also ordered the 1 1/2 king crab legs served with a dawn of butter. They were really good. Would of rather seen an option of steak and king crab legs. Although, there were a lot of options for serf and turf combinations. Side dishes were lobster bisque and amazing vinegar brussel sprouts with a flash searing. So... good! Only picture I got was the Alaskan King Crab. All the rest was too good to not dig right in!! They waitress was very very nice. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in multiple times. She also gave suggestions for meals and drinks.

Yelp
Unfortunately the food has steadily gone down hill here. Today's experience was the most disappointing of them all. We have found the owner to be less then desirable especially when over hearing a comment a few weeks back because we were drinking house wine. I'd like to say we won't be back but unfortunately there aren't many options by us so I'm sure we will try again. Fingers crossed it's better next time.

Yelp
This 5-star review starts with a negative spin, but bear with me. My wife and I bought a home in Downtown Trenton that is literally a stone's throw from Truago. Since appliance packages are on backorder, we have been leaning on our air fryer and Truago to feed us. (and Del's) My wife and I love the Strawberry Spinach Feta salad with the bomb ass cherry vinaigrette, and unfortunately tonight we received two of the Traverse City Cherry salads with Bleu Cheese at carryout. No big deal, a completely understandable button mis-hit by the lady who took my order over the phone, and my bad not peeking in the bag before I ran out into the rain. Long story short, I've been in the restaurant industry, and just like in real life, mistakes happen. The difference between a good restaurant and a GREAT ONE, is how that mistake is handled. When I called in to let them know, I had the intention of running back up to the restaurant to grab one proper salad for my wife. Carrie, the manager, jumped on the phone and it was like I was talking to a friend. She is not only the manager, she is a Downtown Trenton-ite (?) and really went above and beyond. (she hates Bleu Cheese like my wife) Carrie almost immediately appeared on our doorstep with the salad, extra bread, and a piece of homemade cheesecake, to boot! If I were to have just been a whiny ass Karen and jumped on and fired off a 1-star review out of disappointment, Carrie would not have had the opportunity to handle the situation and everyone is bummed. Give these SUPER BUSY restaurants a chance to make things right, and the GREAT restaurants will always shine through. I can't wait to support this restaurant for years to come! By the way, the BRUSSEL SPROUTS are a must, and the AHI taco on Tuesdays might be the greatest bang for your buck in the entire world. I once ordered two of them for dessert

Yelp
We came for Sunday brunch. The service was a little slow, but the delicious food made up for it. I ordered the flight of benedicts. The crab cake was my favorite one. It was outstanding. I also had the country style, which was very tasty. The gravy was a nice addition. Lastly, I had the cajun beef benedict. It was good. However, the cajun prime beef biscuits and gravy was far superior. It was my favorite dish on the table. We ordered a side of the American potatoes. They were crispy and fresh. Overall, the food was wonderful.

Yelp
Rode by on my way to Elizabeth park on bikes with my daughter. We decided to grab takeout to eat at the park. We split the grilled chicken Caesar wrap with fries and a side of ranch. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. Waiting for the food was not long and it was a very delicious. My daughter is a very picky eater and she had nothing but compliments on both the wrap and fries. The price was decent for the size and it filled us both up with left overs. I wish I would've taken a picture because it was picturesque.

Yelp
We had a great experience using Truago to cater for a baby shower we hosted at Provisions in Wyandotte. Carrie (Kerri) was excellent to work with. So friendly, enthusiastic and even offered opinions on which menu items were popular, so we could pick out items our guests would like. The caterer arrived exactly on time and the food was piping hot. Stayed hot throughout our whole event. Our guests RAVED about the food! Our menu was: Chicken and Waffles Veggie Scramble Pierogies BLT Croissants Fruit Tray Mini Cinnamon Rolls The Veggie Scramble and the Pierogies were our guests favorite. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable and Truago even provided containers for us to divvy up the leftovers. I would recommend them to anyone looking to cater for the quality of the food, the price, and the service Thank you to Truago for helping to make our baby shower a success!

Yelp
We arrived early afternoon and were seated promptly in one of their pods (an ideal situation for an introvert like myself). Btw~ Reservations are highly recommended. We started off with the lobster dip and it was ahhhmazing!! So cheesy and gooey, and filled with lots of big bites of lobster. We each had the burger and they were definitely on point! So juicy and fresh! I had the brussel sprouts and my husband had the fries. Both were soooo delicious!! It's been so long since we have been able to eat at a restaurant and this visit definitely did not disappoint! The service was fast and personable. I highly recommend

Yelp
Second time here in the last year. The first time was amazing, unfortunately I cannot say that about the second. I went with the steak and shrimp parm and the best part of the meal was the steamed vegetables. Ordered medium and received it well done. Food was all very bland and the shrimp was not properly cleaned. Hoping this was an off day and hope if I go back I get the great food I had like my first visit.
