I went to Tru Food Kitchen with my husband for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The food was so delicious. I got the ancient grains bowl and added steak. I really appreciate that the steak was grass fed and also that they no longer use any seed oils. This is extremely important to me when picking a restaurant. Overall, the food was amazing and the service was great. We will definitely be back again

Google
Great place to eat a healthy meal. Even the green décor gives that healthy warm vibe. All bowls are great. The hummus is to die for, lasagna, Cobb salad. Great location to have lunch and stroll the outdoor Biltmore mall. My server was excellent. Lovely blonde bubbly young lady. Thank you!! 😊

Google
This place slapped. My wife and I heard about being seed oil free and we’re always trying to eat healthier. The food was very good, I got that buffalo chicken grilled sandwich with the kale salad and it was as good as I could have expected. I devoured it. Wife got some sweet potato bowl thing and she loved it. Waitress was nice and had a sense of humor. The vibe was awesome, the food prep is right next to the common area so it’s clear how they prep a lot of the food. Eat here!

Come hungry… leave, still kinda hungry. We finna stop at Wendy’s on the way home probably. I got the turkey burger which came with a mixed green salad. It was ok. Basic asf really. So was my girls chicken sandwich. With her peach lemonade (which didn’t taste like peach nor lemonade) and my iced tea, the bill came out to $54.68 before tip. Our server was nice and friendly but we didn’t see her a lot. All and all, won’t be back. It’s way overpriced for what you get.

It is my absolute favorite restaurant, and I seize every opportunity to dine there. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making each visit feel special. The food is always exquisite.

This was me and my husband's first time here last night and we loved the place, the vibe and the food! We ate outside on the patio as it felt good yesterday evening and the staff was friendly and our server, LORD, I forgot her name but she had glasses and beautiful red tip nails lol, we were complimenting each other on our nails lol. But she was very sweet and attentive! I had the Lasagne al Pesto & my husband had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and then for dessert he had the Chocolate CHIP Cookie à la mode, a vegan cookie and vegan ice cream! That is incredible!! Keep up the great work True Food Kitchen! We will be back! Also the Watermelon Lemonade we had, was so good!!

Google
We always have a great time here at True Food Kitchen. This is one of my favorite places to bring friends and family. The food is always delicious, nutritious and extremely fresh. We ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl, Strawberry and Arugula Salad with Shrimp, and the Ancient Grain Bowl with Steak. The service was impeccable. We sat outside under the dual sun protected patio with a canopy and umbrella over our table with the fine mist as well. It was surprisingly comfortable despite the 107°F ambient temperature. Price is about what you would expect for Biltmore area, pricey but worth it for the quality of the food, service and ambience. We will certainly be coming back soon!

Google
Such a good spot! If you're looking for gluten free options they have so many items to choose from. They also have a ton of vegan options. Farm fresh food that is packed full of flavor. Get the dragon fruit lemonade. So good

Yelp
Place was great. Atmosphere, food... Liked the selection and the many options. Will def be back.

Yelp
Just keeping it completely real. Their $27.95 "special" is the same price as if you add up each component. Feels gimmicky. If you want the same meal, but healthier and for half the price, go to Flower Child. Flower Child tastes 3 times better, too.

Yelp
True Food is a great option if you're looking for clean and healthier meal choices. We came here for dinner and made a reservation which I recommend doing as it gets busy. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and feels very welcoming. The hostess was friendly and our waiter was nice. We started with the Tru Crisp'd Buffalo tenders as they were on the happy hour deals. I was quite surprised by them as I don't typically like Buffalo sauce but these had a great flavor and didn't taste like Buffalo at all to me. But spicy but really good. We also ordered the Edamame dumplings but were later told that those were out (it wasn't even 5:30pm). After apps we ordered dinner- my friend got the Sza Cza salad with shrimp which she said was delicious. I originally ordered the pesto pasta but once again was told after ordering that they were out of it. I landed on the lasagna al pesto which was really good. I was disappointed that they didn't inform staff right away of things that are not available so that these issues didn't come up multiple times during a single visit.

Yelp
Everything about this place was amazing. I enjoyed the decor, the lighting, how clean it was, and the attentive staff. Very nice setting for catching up with friends over lunch. I got the pesto pasta and it was the best pasta i have tasted. Very fresh and filled with flavor. My waitress was sweet and they had plenty of seating indoors and out on the patio. Overall great experience.

Yelp
Popped into True Food Kitchen for the first time after my niece's baby shower since she and her hubby are vegan--and wow, what a great choice! We had a reservation, so we were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and got our drink orders in quickly. Before we knew it, the table was filled with the most delicious-looking dishes. Everything came out fast, fresh, and full of flavor. I'm happy they have all kinds of choices--not just vegan or vegetarian. Anyone can find something they'll enjoy here. I love that they use all fresh and natural ingredients, and you can really taste the difference. The vibe was relaxed but upbeat, and it just made the whole experience even better. Safe to say, we'll definitely be back for round two!

Yelp
I went to True Food Kitchen with my friend over the weekend to grab lunch and we had a great time. Our server was really nice and helped us choose what to order off the menu. She even let me in on a hack since I wanted to order the spaghetti squash and add chicken - order the chicken parm, which would be the same thing, to save some $. We had to wait a while for waters as they were backed up on washing the cups. My iced shakerato was really good. I liked that it wasn't too sweet but wasn't bitter at all, despite the dark color. I ended up liking my entree a lot. I have always been a huge fan of spaghetti squash and this one was really good. I was full after, but not weighed down, so you could tell that this place is healthy and uses good ingredients. Truthfully, I think it's a little on the pricey side for what you get but I loved the decor and overall had a great time. I would go back to try the appetizers and cocktails.

Yelp
Let me first say that I don't usually review any restaurant nor would I care to give a bad review as it's a waste of my time. But this is different. True food gets away with mediocrity while charging you an arm and a leg. The burger. Anyone remember when Plankton from SpongeBob tried recreating the krabby patty? Yes, it was that bad and it looked the part. I trudged through that thing begrudgingly, and now, 20 minutes later, I regret every bite. This burger was described as having an umami flavor. Either the kitchen is unaware of what the hell that means, or I'm on the Truman show and this is an elaborate scheme to mess with me. The bun was basically dry foot. I officially feel like I've wasted my time, but I think it needs to be known how bad this burger is.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
I'm sure everything else here is great but I just had had to write that their turkey burger was the best turkey burger I've ever had crisp edges, juicy, and the perfect size to feel full but not regretting it afterwards. Will definitely be back for that!

Yelp
Dinner at a True Food Kitchen. We chose this restaurant because of the large Vegan selection. My daughter had the plant based burger with kales salad and side of soup. She loved it all except for the cheese which she said tasted like Kraft singles. My wife had the turkey burger with kales salad which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was dry with little sauce and absolutely zero spicy flavor. Disappointing. We also had deserts which were great. Also service was good.

Yelp
We had a very large dinner at True Food Kitchen on a Thursday evening. Two tables of twenty each. The service seemed overwhelmed. We had a pre fixe three course dinner. It started with pizzas, Brussels sprouts and edamame appetizers. I har the beef for dinner there was also Salmon and a vegetarian option. The food was quite good. My beed was slightly overdone but not so much that it was inedible. Everyone seemed to enjoy dinner. The place was very crowded and very loud. Sadly the waiters were not super responsive. I'd go again on a less busy night.

Yelp
Went for Mother's Day brunch and the place was bustling with large groups. The staff seemed like they handle the high volume well and the wait time wasn't bad at all. The matcha is premade and a bit watery, but good over all. They had many healthy breakfast options. I had the ranchers hash and there was more sweet potato than anything else.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
i wasnt sure what to expect, but I absolutely loved it here. The food was delicious and the service was top notch! I highly recommend making a reservation for better seating and to minimize the wait. I'm looking forward to going again!!

Yelp
It is good as long as you order the right thing. The dumplings to start are delicious. My spicy Korean chicken sandwich was weak. Not spicy. Should always be weary when they use to nuggets as opposed to a chicken breast for a sandwich. There was not much flavor. Lasagna was quite tasty, should have got that. Restaurant is clean and I like the open kitchen concept. Service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
Biltmore has many restaurant options but one can't go wrong with True Foods. They use fresh ingredients and all food I've had here tastes really healthy and yummy. We had salads today. Chinese chicken salad was as expected. The chopped salad with chicken was better of the two. Service is always excellent! Enjoy! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
I got jacked at True Foods! My $300 ring was stolen by their staff. I accidentally left it on the dining table after washing my hands, eating, then leaving. It's a big ring check out the photo. Also, their bathroom is really dirty. Whoever did not do their job prefer I leave this review. They claim to do an "investigation" and did not see the footage. I wouldn't take the time to post this but want you to know there is theft by the staff and the company does not take the claim seriously. Eat at your own discretion! Part 2 Yes, my blood sister was at the table while I washed my hands and once we left after eating was the ring taken. Again, prime example of them not listening to the concern. I find it really nasty you accuse my sister of theft. Wow

William C.

Yelp
Today I had lunch at True Food in the Biltmore! The service was impeccable I had the chopped salad with salmon! Probably the best salmon and salad in Phoenix! The tomato basil soup was incredible Please visit this True Food soon Dr C

Yelp
The wrap was very drying, and the chicken was lacking flavor. It was very refreshing at least because of the lettuce, but I don't think it's worth the price at all. I don't entirely remember what the side was, but I was only able to taste the sauce and nothing else as it was completely drenched in sauce. The drink was tiny for the high price, much prefer the other restaurants in the area.

Yelp
We met my sister here for lunch today as we wanted a little healthier lunch. I had received a code for a BOGO entree on Facebook; so we used this today. I had the forbidden poke bowl, Sis had the Quinoa bowl with shrimp and hubby had his favorite chopped salad with added chicken. Everything was tasty, my poke bowl had a nice kick to it and Sis loves her quinoa bowl. We had iced teas and Sis had a spritzer. Service was friendly and the meals came out super fast. Our reservation was at 11:30 and they weren't too busy yet, but by the time we left, there was a line at the door. Beautiful day to enjoy the patio too. Total bill was $93 before the coupon.

Yelp
True food is one of my favorite Phoenix restaurants when I'm seeking something healthy and flavorful! On every visit, the staff and service is 10/10. Incredible, personable and attentive! With our most recent visit, we sat on the outdoor patio, which is so beautiful and made me feel as if we weren't in the dry desert, but had escaped to somewhere near the beach. My love for true food only grows! Can't wait till we return
google avatar

Yelp
Their Edamame Dumplings (white truffle oil, dashi, thai basil, Chef Matt's Magical Dust) is my go to here. Tried something new this time, Grass-Fed Steak Breakfast Burrito (grilled Cape Grim organic 100% grass-fed steak, Vital Farms pasture-raised scrambled eggs, queso, anasazi beans, charred scallion salsa verde, cilantro). The visit was perfect!

Yelp
This place has a cool concept and was good, but I'm not sure if it was worth the extra money. All of the food was good though, I had the bison pizza which was delicious and the Mac and cheese was great too. I also ordered the berry cerealtini, which was very strong. My friend ordered the cinnamon toastini but didn't finish it because it was so strong. Everyone helping us was nice.

Dahee K.

Yelp
Servers were friendly and the food came out decently quick. I loved the variety of options for the bowls, pizza and salads. The healthy options definitely stood out on the menu and makes it easy when you are dining with friends that enjoy healthier options. We ordered the edamame dumplings, Thai peanut bowl, chicken tenders, kale salad, burger and Margherita pizza.

Jenna D.

Yelp
Food is inconsistent. First time was fantastic, second was mediocre. Ordered the same things. However, the passion fruit tart was a meal saver. Would probably return, but expensive for inconsistency.

Michael S.

Yelp
Updated Hummus recipe and and vegan cheese burger are horrible. Service was a 4/10, Food 0/10, sadly the chain has gone down hill.

Yelp
Our party of 15 visited here on a Saturday at 12:30. By 1:00 this fairly large restaurant was packed. Our server tried his best to be attentive, but we could see that all of the servers had their hands full with many tables. I wanted to try something different, so ordered the mushroom, spinach, and lemon-flavored ricotta pizza. I added a side of the Hatch chili ranch dipping sauce. So, while the pizza was good, I loved the dipping sauce more. In the future, I will add that side to any order. One friend had the tomato soup and loved it. Another said the ribeye was very tender and cooked just the way she asked. One woman, who had been here often, ordered her favorite -- the buffalo chicken salad. There were a number of good choices of nonalcoholic drinks. However, the restaurant does not serve sodas. There is plenty of parking in nearby lots as the restaurant is located in a shopping district.

Yelp
Mimosa is ridiculous I asked to go really late on the orange juice because it gives me heartburn and I get the tiniest mimosa you've ever seen and I'm told that because I asked to go easy on the orange juice they gave me half a drink (or I should say half an already tiny drink) because usually half of it is orange juice. Really?? Usually half of it is orange juice, since when? They could've told me that. Then I ordered the spaghetti squash casserole and you couldn't even taste the spaghetti squash because It was mainly tomato sauce. Then the waitress was not good at filling up the ice tea and the waters. All in all, not a great experience and this was our first time at the Biltmore location. Can't say we will be back.

Yelp
I love this place! Very clean eating options. So much good food to choose from. My favorite is the O.G. burger. That grass-fed burger is so delicious. I tried the seasonal vegetables as my side which consisted of cauliflower, brussel sprouts, onions, and shredded squash. OMG these veggies taste amazing. It would be great if they kept them on the menu. Service from the team is really good with friendly smiles. The restaurant interior gives cool calm vibes, which is so enjoyable while eating.

Yelp
I picked True Food Kitchen on this Super Bowl Day for the fact they are not using seed oils in their foods. Second, it is Super Bowl so we wanted to bring wings or tenders to the gathering so we chose True Food for these two reasons. One order of chicken tenders is ONLY 3 pieces each at $12.95. We ordered 2 orders. 3 pieces in each order only! I was shocked at the quantity and it looked nothing like Buffalo Tenders in the pictures. We got more vegetables in total than chicken tenders!!! HUGE disappointment in True Food especially since this was going to be our go to eat out restaurant that is cooking without seed oils. It definitely was an understatement at this party!

Yelp
I'm a healthy eater but nothing here really blew me away. The butternut squash soup was sweet and took me by surprise. The peanut noodles had a strange flavor and texture that I didn't particularly enjoy. The cookie for dessert was chalky and cold and the portion of ice cream was super small. I don't think I'll return sadly.
google avatar

Karla N.

Yelp
Shout out to Sergio, my waiter today, for recommending this seasonal vegan pizza that is about to live rent free in my head for the next six months. This thing was DELISH. Like, dance in your seat while you eat yummy. I expected True Food to have lots of vegan options (I've been here multiple times and never really *loved* what I ordered... until today). I got the seasonal roasted butternut squash pizza and oooh my gosh was it filling and perfectly executed. That ricotta almond "cheese"!!!! I've also had the Korean Noodle Bowl, which was very oily and unimpressive, and something else that I can't even remember. But this PIZZA THOUGH? Ten out of ten. The ambiance here is always clean and comfortable, too, which is another reason I always come back and try again! Gems to behold!

Yelp
Delicious- truly best quality food around. The service is always so kind and their menu rotates so it feels fresh and never stale. Super healthy options for everyone's diet.

Yelp
I was with a group of coworkers after a long day on the road. This had the shortest wait time compared to the other spots so we went for it. Everyone who ordered an adult beverage enjoyed it. I had water so I can't really comment. The food-3 stars. Salmon was over salted and over cooked. The sauce is kind of weird tasting. It missed the mark. Weird pomegranate yogurt type vibe. The guac app is weird. It tastes good, but then we started choking because they put some sort of chopped up seeds in it. Service-they did not serve everyone together. So half our party ate when the food came. And I waited until everyone got their food. Which means my seafood was meh temp. It felt weird being stared at like I was the kid at the table taking forever to eat and no one can leave until everyone is done. Lol the server was nice and give us our guac at no charge "to make it a great time for our first visit," but it felt a lot more like sorry half your party didn't get their food. It would have been better if they just owned the screw up. It was ok. Nice to have a healthier option but I wouldn't go back nor pick it again with the other options in the same area. No one's meal looked out of this world. Basically looks like a small portion of Whole Foods prepped food. ‍

Yelp
We went back and had some of the same things but this time tried out the Peruvian Grass fed burger. This was very good. We also had the Turtle sundae and Kids cookie & ice cream sundae which were also great. The reason why I am posting the update, however, is the Wild Caught Tuna lettuce wraps in the Starters section (see photo). This thing was awesome! Whatever the chili garlic crunch is was just perfect.
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
The food was good so many options to choose from. I went in on a Monday afternoon we ordered the hummus and it was delicious they had gluten free pita bread and tortilla chips. For $12 the portion was good size! For entrees we ordered the grass fed burger cooked to the perfect temperature lots of flavor! Drinks are delicious as well definitely coming back!

Lynn K.

Yelp
My husband and I dined at this restaurant in October with friends. We have returned several times since because it is a reliable restaurant with tasty fairly healthy food. Everyone can find something to eat that they like. In October I had excellent meatloaf, potatoes carrots and gravy. My husband and I shared squash pie. I thought it was excellent but he didn't like it. I enjoyed peach lemonade

Yelp
Such a nice place to eat- the interior was spacious and promoted a nice casual but sleek ambiance. Wonderful variety of food, my favorites were their glass noodle bowl and butternut squash pizza

Yelp
First time at True Food Camelback. Cool spot, with outdoor patio seating (dog friendly). I ordered an ancient grain bowl + chicken. I probably could have made the same dish at home but no lie it did taste very good. Have not been a huge fan of True Food in the past due to its basic menu, but it's growing on me.

Gilly P.

Yelp
I will never go back to True Food. The server made a mistake with order and then said it was my fault. Very unpleasant server. Never asked if we were enjoying the meal once the mistake was corrected. I had to ask for a drink refill. When we finished she didn't ask us if we wanted dessert only if we wanted the check. The meal selection I chose also was not nearly as good as in the past. It had been several months since I last went. True Food must be going downhill. I will choose other restaurants and cafes where I am welcomed and treated nicely.

Michele O.

Yelp
My first visit and I was so looking forward to celebrating a family member's birthday here. The service was good. Unfortunately, the food was average at best and terribly overpriced for what it was. There are so many other healthy restaurants to eat at...I will not be back.
google avatar

Harper F.

Yelp
Huge menu full of healthy options! I like True Food because it shows that healthy food doesn't have to be flavorless. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I'm a big fan!
google avatar

Debi O.

Yelp
This was a really nice place to eat! We came for lunch and had a couple seriously delicious bowls! The food came fast and the waitress was really great. A great visit. I'd come again. Oh and the ginger and lime drink was fabulous!

Yelp
So if you go to this not so good place and you get food to go... You don't even get cutlery.. So what do you supposed to do ? I don't believe this place is a great place
google avatar

Carrie S.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times and figured this time I would review since I also took photos. I no longer live in Arizona however I do come back and forth to visit family and friends and one of mine suggested we go here for dinner. I've had lunch here but never dinner. I really enjoyed my meal and my friends looked even better so it may be something I buy next time. I thought the service was good and I would recommend the restaurant.

Yelp
Everything was great! Wonderful service, great food! Great ambiance! Hubby had the steak! I had the noodles!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in around 11:30am and were seated on the outdoor heated patio very quickly even without a reservation. The place was busy but the drinks and food showed up fast. Delicious flavors and a great waitress who made sure our drinks were never empty. Healthy food served promptly that tastes great!
google avatar

Gisselle G.

Yelp
The tasting tower was amazing! It came with butternut squash soup, turkey meatballs, stuffing bites, charred cauliflower, and butternut squash pizza. The tower has a great mix of vegan and non vegan options so it was great to share with my mom. It doesn't seem like a lot at first glance but it was pretty filling. The outside seating area was nice during this time of year.

Yelp
Tried out True Food Kitchen for the first time over lunch on a weekend. The decor is attractively laid out and although it was busy it still felt comfortable. I wanted to get something a little healthier and their menu has a lot of potential with delicious-sounding options. I decided to go with the kimchi fried rice. The black forbidden rice caught me off guard when it came out, but I was excited to try something new. I love egg with kimchi fried rice and really enjoyed the jammy eggs. The cilantro and the asparagus also were a welcome fresh addition. Unfortunately, the rice or, maybe it was the broth used for the rice, was incredibly salty. I often make my own kimchi fried rice at home and have eaten it many times, so I know it's generally salty, but this one was much more than normal. The portion was also very small for a dish that was priced at nearly $20 by itself. I originally was hoping to spice it up a little with some hot sauce, so I opted for some sambal, but the saltiness of the sambal was just too much to try and combine with the salty rice. Although I didn't enjoy the kimchi fried rice, I was intrigued by the descriptions of several other dishes so I hope I get a chance to return and see if other dishes are better here.
