True Food Kitchen

I’ve ordered here so many times. I’ve extended alot of grace despite how many orders have been burnt and un edible. I never wrote a review despite these consistent experiences. But enough is enough. TFK food is not inexpensive to keep receiving burnt and un edible food. Even if it was, no one should have to keep driving all the way back just to wait for an order to be remade or just to get a refund. That’s a waste of time. Which is very previous nowadays. Please, hire a Chef that actually knows how to cook. This is unacceptable. And please tell your employees to wash their hands in the bathroom. And have them wash the in the kitchen area too to make sure they actually washed them. That’s what i did when i worked with food. I’ve seen an employee rinse her hands with water for like 5 seconds. That’s just so nasty. You’re touching private areas, not washing hands, then going in an area where you have to handle food. People hygiene practices are so poor even after Covid.

Had a much needed refreshing experience here with a girl friend for my birthday. The waitress, Ashley, immediately gifted me a couple of treats. Pictured is the lemon/blueberry muffin and they lit a candle in the cinnamon carrot cake. No worry, no singing happened but the server made it fun. 🤩 I had a cup of butternut squash and the simple salad. A friend had a turkey burger. Thanks for the friendly service Ashley!

Had the dinner for two. Chose the edamame dumplings. These were amazing. Had nothing like it before. The main entree we chose the turkey burger and the Korean glass noodles. Can’t go wrong with either choice. Dessert was one option. But it was gluten free!

When I was googling healthy food restaurant and resulted True food restaurant. It's big restaurant, clean, bright light dan friendly employees. We drank black tea, its freshly. We got hummus and thin bread / chips, we never tasted hummus anywhere like they have, its really delicious. Our meal are chicken parmesan and chinese chicken salad. Nice to go box for leftovers and they gave us military discounts. If you were avoid fatty food for your healthy I will give recommendation this True food restaurant.

We opted for the Dinner for Two menu. My wife got the Chicken Salad and I went the Turkey Burger. We started with the Edamame dumplings. All low calorie selections, I was surprised by how flavorful everything was. I was totally stuffed after the chunky turkey burger. The salad was HUGE. By far, the star of the show was the Edamame Dumplings, so much flavor yet so light...simply delightful! The flour-less chocolate cake with vegan ice cream was pretty darn good too!

Met with a C-Level partner executive who chose this location. We met for a casual business lunch. The vibe was "young" yet appropriate for our meeting - casual, not loud, great wait staff. I got there early, my waitress was open to a slow turning table, never pressed us to order, she was super (wish I had taken down her name for a callout here). I am an avowed foodie but live in a small town were ethnic choices are limited. She recommended the Spicy Panang Curry Bowl, which I accepted with no hesitations. I must say, it was one of the most savory bowls I've ever had. It had a small kick which complimented the wonderful taste. The sweet potato and the vegetables were not mushy at all. The serving was more than I could consume. Oh, I should not forget the edamame dumplings he ordered for us to share. They were not overpowering in taste but a nice start to our lunch. I did not record what he ate but the bowl was clean at the end. I wish we had one of these close to us, I would be a regular. When I make it back to Dallas, I most certainly will go out of my way to make it back here. I highly recommend my business peers to consider this when in the area.

Came to enjoy a nice lunch during this last week. It is a great location and the atmosphere is nice. Service was not bad, we did seem to continue to have a bit of a wait… but nothing extreme. We ordered a few different things and overall the food seemed fresh and well put together. We did have an issue with our steak which was heavily overcooked and for some reason grey. The salmon we received was also overcooked from the medium we requested. Overall the food is not bad, training may be needed in the kitchen on technique.

Such a great selection on the menu! I highly recommend. Ashley was amazing- she definitely made me feel like a star 🤩 I got the ancient grain bowl with steak - sooooo good! 🤤 organic and delicious!!

After bad experiences at some of the other restaurants in this area, we went to true Food kitchen for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. I've been to true Food before, but it's been a while. I love that you can tell they prioritize health . Big fan of the seasonal menu . My husband ordered their grass fed burger and I got the chopped salad with grilled chicken. As a big fan of sweet and savory salads, this salad was delicious . The server was kind and the experience made me want to frequent their establishment more often .

As someone who has been a true food fan for over 10 years, I was so disappointed eating there tonight. $20 for a seasonal salad with added tofu. The tofu itself was horrible.. bland, tough.. would not recommend. The salad tasted amazing but was TINY. I was shocked and bummed. My husband and I rarely go out for dinner and to feel like we wasted $100 on a mediocre dinner is upsetting. The only redeeming thing about the night was the service. It felt like our food took forever but we sat at the bar and the bartenders were all so kind and personable. In all honestly I'd save your money and go somewhere else.

Went with friends. We were told there is a waiting for 30-45 mins but we got a table after 1.5 hour. They knew we are with kids and we asked a few times as well but they didnt seem to care. We literally saw other sitted before us even they came after us. So even though food was great, the ambience was lovely, everything's so posh but the way you treat and welcome guests speak a lot to me and I therefore will think many times before I plan to visit this place again. I also get that it was a weekends and it gets busier but isn't that something you need to plan in advance? But yes, the food was A-one. Spicy parang curry bowl is just awesome! Pizzas were ok. Our friends tried burgers and other stuff and they were good too.

True Food Kitchen is great for anyone who cares about clean, healthy eating. They use whole, minimally processed ingredients and cook exclusively with heart‑healthy oils like olive and avocado. The meals are flavorful, responsibly sourced, and a smart choice for tasty, health-conscious dining.

Starting with a very upscale setting in Frisco we were seated right away and the manager greeted us and assigned a fantastic server who had our drink order in before we could look at their excellent menu our server recommended the pepperoni sourdough pizza and boy was I happy she did from the first bite I thought I was back in Rome this is no domino's pizza ! The crust could be a main dish on its own . The tomato sauce was light and fresh made lower seasoning than I was expecting but seriously good big slices of mozzarella very lean pepperoni "Nice touch" and fresh basil this pizza was not at all greasy or oily. Cant wait to have it again ! My wife had the salmon nice portion on a thai vinaigrette puree very nicely done we added honey roasted carrots as a share and topped it off with a spicy margarita and a fabulous americano you will not be disappointed dining here on business or as in our case our Friday night date night

I LOVED the experience I had at this restaurant. Their pressed juices are great, there are so many different options on the menu, and CLEAN ingredients at reasonable prices. Our server was very attentive and it wasn't too crowded. We came for a lunch meeting so the atmosphere was perfect. I had their glass noddle bowl and we shared edamame and their hummus. The BEST hummus I've ever had. I will be back.

Stopped in on Saturday afternoon without a reservation and was seated almost immediately. A win for us even though there was a nice crowd of others already seated. We were quickly greeted by our server for the evening who took our drink orders and our entree selections soon after. The place was bustling with business but our server was very attentive and right on time. For this visit we decided to go with the ancient grains bowl and the tuna poke bowl. We added shrimp to both bowls and was pleased with the presentation and taste once they arrived to our table. We decided to grab desserts as well. I went with the sorbet and my partner in crime decided on the chocolate chip cookie a la mode. Both were very good and quite satisfying to our palates. (Sorry I forgot the pictures) I've been here a million times and I continue to return because farm to table is my jam and this place hits the spot every time! Kudos!!

Came for Happy Hour & Some, let me tell you we absolutely loved. True Food is not only healthy but super tasty, best of all No seed oils. Started with the sliders, they are beyond flavorful on a toasted ciabatta bread, caramelized onions and mushrooms. The Buffalo chicken tenders come with a super good homemade ranch. For our meal we had the pepperoni pizza and harvest salad, all fantastic. And to drink a delicious a refreshing Moscow mule. Definitely check this place out, the restaurant is esthetically nice with indoor and outdoor seating. The service is on point, our server Steel (Isaiah) was so attentive and super on top of everything. Come here if you want to eat healthy but also yummy.

Came to eat some tasty healthy food and wow this place didn't disappoint. Unfortunately the service was pretty slow but luckily the food made up for it. The meatloaf sliders were amazing. Paired with the buffalo chicken strips and wow that was good! The pepperoni pizza we ordered well done and it came out perfect. We accompanied that with the SZA CZA salad and that was good too. They don't cook with seed oils here so i'll be back to get my healthy grub on.

True Food Kitchen is a great spot for more upscale healthy, colorful, and creative food. The restaurant itself is so bright and spacious, making for a very welcoming ambiance. Service is usually great as well! They offer seasonal dishes that incorporate veggies in season, which I find really cool! I love their edamame dumplings (the broth is so good, I could drink it!), the iced matcha horchata latte, kale salad, and burgers. They have a great veggie burger, along with a bunch of other dietary-friendly options. I would recommend True Food Kitchen to anyone - you are guaranteed to find something delicious that excites you off their menu! The entire Legacy West area is also a treat to walk around before or after your meal.

I have never eaten here before so Came in for the first time for lunch today! I ordered the Chinese chicken salad and WOW.. thank you true foods and thank you Ashley for the recommendation!

This place is absolutely amazing! I love it here, you will always find a good meal full of flavor, color and the must important BALANCE! I love how they keep a simple menu with great choices, a lot of nutritional information and I also love the options of teas (try hibiscus water) the service it's always amazingly good, so on top of the game and the ambience in the restaurant it's great!

Food was amazing Colby our waitress was great great atmosphere great service came in here for a quick dinner. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely come back next time. We're here!

Finally got to try this place! I missed my opportunity in San Diego, and glad I was nearby to try the Plano location. The service was friendly, our waitress was great at giving us suggestions, and I appreciated that. The food is fresh, and tastes very healthy. Knocking off a Star, because service was slow due to possibly being low-staffed the day we came. No fault to our waitress, but this place might need a few more servers during busy hours.

Always a hit while eating healthy ..I really enjoyed the lasagna and my juice.. I can't wait to try more dishes

The food is usually pretty good. I have had many items on the menu and not one has been a mistake. The horchata matcha is my favorite item to get. The service is good and everyone working there is nice and quick. The ambiance is nice and clean with a good sunday morning feel.

True food kitchen has been my restaurant for the past 10 years. I used to go to the San Diego location and when I move to Dallas five years ago, I started eating at this location. The food is amazing. That's why I've been a loyal customer but more than that. It's the staff. Everybody is always warm and welcoming. I rarely ever have had an issue and the one time my food order was wrong. They promptly fixed the mistake and were so gracious about it. I'm especially impressed with a waitress name Alexis and a bartender name Isaiah. They are such a joy.

This is a modesty priced casual restaurant with somewhat healthy seasonal menu choices. Ie: the menu changes and evolves over time. I like this as it keeps me coming back to see what is new. The decor us newish and consistent with the casual ambiance On my last visit, I tried the edimami dumplings which were delicious. Service was fast and attentive

My family and I have been to many True Food Kitchen restaurants and this one was a step above. The service is what really impressed us at this location. Our server Alanna a was absolutely awesome and she made sure my wife's and daughter's allergies were totally taken care of. When went well beyond what most restaurants do and made sure everything was safe from the ice in the drinks to the food! She checked on us multiple times and was extremely friendly! We will absolutely go back to this location just because of Alanna! Our food was delicious as well and I ordered Mama's meatloaf and my wife ordered the Turkey burger. We also ordered salads and the loaded fingerling potatoes. Everything was delicious and I was happy to see they offered one of my favorite wines, The Prisoner. We also loved the flowerless chocolate cake! Incredible service and delicious healthy food. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite places for everything! I recently tried their brunch menu and it was amazing! From the avocado toast to the tofu scramble to their ancient bowl, I love it all. It has been very well crafted and tastes great! I have come here with friends and family, and everyone has always loved the experience here. The service and ambiance here is lovely. It's always very refreshing and welcoming! I highly recommend this place if you haven't tried yet! I bet you have already *___*

There was hair in my kale salad last week. I didn't bother relaying it to my server because I've relayed other issues on previous visits like repeatedly being served food that was still frozen, and they were very apathetic and no action was taken. Each time I paid and still tipped well. This time I ended up with horrible food poisoning. I wouldn't recommend this location.

We really enjoyed our experience and food. I got the pepperoni pizza with sourdough crust. Husband got a tuna bowl. We both really liked our food. They have a $25 bottle of wine of the month which we enjoyed too. Heather was an exceptional waitress. Friendly, fast, helpful !

I thought the quality of food was delicious! The location was excellent! We had the butternut squash soup and Quinoa salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. The portions were a bit small for the price but overall very tasty.

Sad sad Saturday choosing true foods on post mates. Japchae was way over cooked and flavor was terrible. Such an insult to even serve that and say it's a Korean dish. The elote flat bread looked so sad and small in a huge box. Waste of cardboard. Cauliflower was old tasting and limp Both pizzas beef bed bison and pepperoni covered in flowers left residue everywhere. The bread wasn't great Salad wasn't bad you can't really mess that up. The grass fed burrito with potatoes just yuck Haven't touched the ricotta mufffins yet but they look basic and nothing as pictured. True foods have lost their touch or a decent chef.

All the food came out cold. The wait staff was slow and inattentive. The overall experience was horrible. You gotta do better considering the adjacent competition.

health- conscious upscale dining at legacy west. nice ambiance and vegetable forward dishes. vegan options are clearly labeled. the butternut squash pizza was a nice seasonal option, however do not expect the same vibes as a traditional pizza. service was very friendly and accommodating!

Great atmosphere with very attentive staff. Plenty of food options made fresh and presented well. Food was very tasty with adequate portions. Manager checked in on us to ensure we were well taken care of. The restaurant has a great buzz and is very nicely appointed. We love the transparency of the open kitchen concept.

I had dinner at True Food last night and enjoyed as I always do. It's my go to for healthy food in a really cool atmosphere. I had the salmon and rice dish which was very tasty. I also appreciate the wait staff. Always attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The managers can always be seen making sure the guests are taken care of. Can't wait to come back.

Went here for a little solo date, surprised it wasn't busy. The place looks nice and neat. My waiter was adorable, very nice and sweet. I ordered the butternut squash casserole bc it's low in calories and it was really good! I paired it with salmon and got a matcha to drink.

Seasonal Menu is amazing and the staff are always so great! Love the big open space with lots of natural light.

I visited True Food with a colleague and I was planning to do the $20 lunch trio, which fit my budget. I planned to get the grilled chicken wrap but when I placed my order, our server informed me that they were completely out of chicken (since last night) This wasn't mentioned before we looked over the menu, which would've been helpful to avoid the disappointment. Because of the lack of chicken, I had to get a burger, which not only wasn't my first choice but also added an extra $5 to the lunch deal. I asked if they could make any accommodations, but the server said there were no substitutions available. That was annoying being that y'all are literally out of chicken. I couldn't even order the Asian chicken salad. The food itself was just okay. The watermelon lemonade tasted as if the watermelon was old. Idk Overall, the experience was disappointing being that I felt like I settled for a meal I didn't really want. I would've expected better communication and flexibility being that there literally was no chicken, a key ingredient in many meals.

I called to thank the manager, Ross, for his servers Alanna & Isahai being extra kind while I was having a rough day. I had plans to dine with a friend at True Food for the first time and was embarrassed I ended up crying in public at our table. Alanna discretely dropped off extra napkins and said to let her know if I needed anything. At the end of the meal, Isahai brought a little dessert over and said they hoped I felt better. I was truly touched and grateful for their understanding and compassion when I was having an emotional day. The food was great and the service was really above and beyond. I can honestly say I've never experienced such compassion from a restaurant and deeply appreciate the way they treated me

Came in to have some drinks and starters at one of my fav spots! Had the pleasure of being served by Blake. Super knowledgeable and friendly bartender, really enjoyed talking to him! Had some of my favorites, The indigo to drink and the dumplings to eat, delicious as always.

This was our first time experiencing True Food and it didn't disappoint. Such a beautiful restaurant with a very cool vibe. The service was good but the food was even better. Everything we had was excellent, little and fresh. We had the butternut squash pizza for an app. And it was delicious light and not super filling. The combination of the fresh butternut squash with spring greens and ricotta cheese was an experience of flavors that didn't disappoint. The buffalo chicken sandwich was to die for. Light air fried chicken with fresh apple coleslaw. The only thing I would change is to try and get my sandwich quicker. They toasted the bread but the coleslaw soaked in and it wasn't as poppy as we wanted. Overall I would highly recommend True Food for your dinning experience. Worth the price for what you are getting from the restaurant.

Food was good and initially the service was good as well. We had salads, pizza, meatloaf. So what was bad? Bar really isn't really a bar. I've had better selections on an airplane flight. The booth we were seated in needs to be closed until they recover the seating. It was in real bad shape. We didn't think we were closing the place down, until we realized our waiter was gone. We had to flag someone down to get our bill because everyone was too busy cleaning up to close down.

Everything about this place is amazing, the food, the vibes, the staff is so friendly. Our bartender Alanna was so sweet, funny, and efficient. The food was fantastic. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Plano Tx location Plano West - I entered at approximately 2:35 and had to wave down the greeter after standing at the door. She waved me over to bar when I said I wanted to sit there. I had to get my own menu I sat at the bar @ 2:38 PM wasn't acknowledged by neither (Brooke, Blake or Cassidy). I waited as they talked amongst themselves. I asked about an item on the menu n was given the Trio menu and Cassidy said something incoherently still no acknowledgement. 3 other associates came behind the bar; nothing. I waited another 10 minutes while Cassidy poured hot water in a bottle to clean it, she did this twice; still nothing. I left @2:48 only to return to scan the QR code and ask for their names. Only then was I asked if I needed anything. Definitely Yelp review!

Terrible experience! I pre-ordered curbside pickup over 24 hours in advance ($200 order). Food was not ready at my requested time and I had to go into the restaurant TWICE, in 15 min...from curbside, to ultimately pick up my order. It was for a lunch meeting with an MD group. Once I got the food to my meeting, they had not included an item that I ordered and paid for. Worst of all, the apology was very condescending and not at all accountable - I was stared at with a grin, as though I had done something wrong. VERY displeased and I will NOT ever order from here again.

Came on a weekday for dinner and I was not expecting it to be that crowded! Service was still consistent and friendly. We ordered the edamame "dumplings", pizza, and steak. All of the food was very fresh, and the flavor was perfect if you enjoy a vegan taste palette.

This place has a decent selection of menu items (pizzas, burgers, bowls, salads, etc.) The flavor is generally good. Some bowls are a miss for me so I get a chicken sandwich usually. Husband loves bison pizza. I used to love this place and came to this area exclusively because of this place but lately, it's been a disappointing experience because of the service. As others have mentioned, service when dining in, is very slow. I've noticed this to be true for the last few months. I started doing pickup instead (they have an app). The pickup times are never correct. I always have to wait at least 20 mins after the estimated pickup time. Last weekend, there was a crowd of people all waiting to their pick up and wait was about 40 mins. So total about an hour after placing the order. The manager was very apologetic and kept telling us that the food "will be out any minute" to almost an hour. A free sandwich just didn't make it up to me unfortunately. Although, I appreciate the gesture. Their app also automatically adds a tip to your pickup order so you have to remove it. If I'm picking it up, what is the point of the tip? It's $20 a sandwich and with a tip, it gets even more expensive. I hate to write a negative review because I love their mission as a company but they need to make a few changes to their management at this location.

Food - this bowl was great! Highly recommend if you're looking for something light Service - our server was good. Nothing outstanding but he was very kind! Ambiance - I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. It's so cute and great for pictures!

Great wholesome food!! I really enjoyed the kale salad with chicken added. You can taste the farm to table freshness! I know it may seem pricey but I think the quality of the ingredients makes up for that.

I'm a regular at True foods. I mostly order over the phone. Today service was horrible. I was told I couldn't make a payment on InKind to find out I could. My order was incorrect. Experience normally amazing today zero stars.

John's service was so great! And we thank you for having the grass fed Berger with no antibiotics or hormones. And for being seed oil free! I am thankful to Jesus for such a service oriented professional. In the same way Jesus came to serve and give us life to the fullest I am grateful for your service. Such a lovely and delightful time here! Love the butternut squash vegan and gluten free pizza! So happy that they have gluten free pita bread here. Yummy food and our server was super pleasant. Charming and beautiful atmosphere with lots of plants!

We've been to TFK multiple times in multiple locations, and we had the worst experience. Food took forever to come out, and our waitress mentioned they needed to remake our Chicken Parmigiana dish which is why it was taking so long. Our food came out and my dish was cold. The potatoes were not even warm and the burger was burnt. The Chicken Parmigiana was soggy and the breading of the chicken fell off. For $60+ we wouldn't come back and only finished half our food and didn't bring the rest home.
