"After some al fresco shopping at Walnut Creek’s Broadway Plaza, side-step the heavier options and opt instead for a healthy-ish meal at True Food Kitchen, restaurateur Sam Fox’s restaurant chain founded in partnership with Andrew Weil and backed by none other than Oprah. The menu puts on airs about being anti-inflammatory and generally good-for-you — but health claims aside, you can’t go wrong with menu favorites including the lemon and garlicky Tuscan kale salad and spaghetti squash casserole smothered in crushed tomatoes." - Lauren Saria, Becky Duffett

"East Bay suburb Walnut Creek is still on track to get a food hall, first teased in 2016 and then delayed, but new plans have been redesigned by Mark Davis Design and Johnson Lyman Architect. The Foundry food hall, as it’s being called, will have room for 23 food vendors, an outdoor beer garden, and more. The developer is BH Development, which has established itself in Walnut Creek with Teleferic Barcelona, Slice House, and Va de Vi and Rooftop Restaurant & Bar — that one’s just across the street from the new food hall construction site at 1250 Locust Street." - Caleb Pershan

Found this restaurant while out shopping at Broadway Plaza. Was pleasantly surprised by the selection, quality, variety and awesome service! The food was so good! And the seasonal hibiscus tea was tasty. I will definitely be going back here to eat whenever I’m near!!

Stopped by True Foods for a bite while shopping. Food was fresh and felt healthy! Our waitress, Sabrina, was super attentive and friendly, she brought us shared plates without us needing to ask. We ordered the butternut squash soup to start and the Ancient Grains Bowl with steak and Chicken Tender Plate for entrees. Food was super tasty but portions were a bit smaller compared to years ago. Overall, a solid pick for a casual lunch!

Was in the mall looking for a quick dinner - it was Sunday night and the parking garage was super crowded. Saw this restaurant and there was no wait so decided to give it a try. The food was fine, portions were a little small, service was perfunctory, and a little expensive. Upside - plenty of seating and atmosphere was cozy. Sustainable/farm-to-table food. Menu description full of buzzwords. We had the burger and chicken sandwich. Loved the open kitchen.

Google
My go-to spot for a healthy meal, whether it’s meeting up with friends or eating at the bar on my own between meetings. Will is awesome as a server and my bartenders have always been super friendly. Love True Food.

Google
Order the dumplings which were so good! Most importantly my server Will was awesome! He was very attentive and made small talk that made my visit more personable. In addition, I noticed how he got down to other customers level when taking their order. This goes along way with making people feel more personable and comfortable with their service. All in all, Will was super friendly and definitely goes the extra mile with his service. Very impressed.

The vegan burger with a side of kale is stellar! Atmosphere is down to earth and they have a lot of healthy food choice options, price for food and drinks is not bad!

It’s my first time visiting True food kitchen, and it will not be the last. I get surprised how much it was delicious!!! 🤤 specially the hummus and the pizza. You have to try it. Everything else was amazing. I would like to thank our waiter Sarah. The service was great.

It was our first time here. My son is vegetarian. We went for lunch and had a fabulous time. We sat outside on the heated patio and it was a very comfortable and pleasant environment. The food was absolutely delicious! Don’t miss the edamame dumplings and focaccia bread! I had chicken parm with spaghetti squash and it was amazing! My son enjoyed his teriyaki quinoa bowl. Our waitress was very helpful with recommendations and answered all of our questions. The margarita was delicious as well. It was truly a pleasant experience!

Yelp
Food was amazing and tasted so fresh! Our server William was amazing, attentive and so welcoming. Will be coming back.

Yelp
I thought the service was fantastic for how crowded it was. It also has a very broad menu with lots of options! 10/10

Yelp
I love true food kitchen and have been to a different location in the past, but what made this dinning experience extra special was our server Sabrina! We sat at the bar and she was so kind, personable, welcoming and funny. She gave wonderful recommendations and was excellent at her job. I was so excited to try AG1 which they serve on the rocks and in a mocktail. I loved it so much I ended up getting a prescription! For brunch I had the farmer's scramble and tried the flourless chocolate cake (Sabrina's recommendation) which was easily the most delicious and decadent things I've ever had. I couldn't believe it was vegan and I've been thinking about the dark chocolate essence ever since. I love that true food kitchen has a seasonal menu based on what foods are in season. Everything is always delicious, fresh and locally sourced with options for every food preference. This location is great for taking a shopping break and offers wonderful ambiance and natural lighting. Special thank you to Sabrina for making this meal so special! You deserve a huge promotion and raise

Yelp
Overall just not a good experience, most likely wont go back. We had a reservation for a large group inside Unfortunately two people in our party were "no shows". The waitress was annoyed because that meant she would have two empty seats, but we offered to let another couple sit there. She refused. Ok ... 1. Food was not great and a big disappointment. I ordered a Chinese chicken salad and it was horrible. It was a shredded cabbage some grilled chicken and a CURRY sauce/dressing. I barely ate it. A few others in our party weren't too happy with their choices (which were not cheap) I also paid SEVEN BUCKS for a small glass of fresh orange juice. 2. Our waitress sucked. She had an attitude about our party being smaller and I waited like 20 mins for a glass of juice. 3. Then I get a call from a manager after the fact saying that my Apple transaction didn't go thru on their end. Ok.. I see my charge on my Apple Pay. She said that sometimes they have issues w Apple Pay etc. She went on and on about how she didn't see the transaction not SAYING I was t being truthful but there was a vibe of that. Ya I don't get why this place is so popular

Yelp
My review would be 5 stars if it weren't for the GIANT LAS VEGAS BILLBOARD with variable brightness, flashing about 30 feet away from the patio. It is an aggressive assault on the eyes, and in case you aren't PAYING ATTENTION TO THEIR INTRUSIVE ADVERTISING it varies in brightness from operating room to TIMES SQ NYE. Really obnoxious. C'mon Broadway plaza! We are outside, close by, trying to enjoy the wonderful food at True Food. Why are you assaulting us with Luxor Lamp level brightness. I am sure this is visible from the International Space Station. Are you trying to drive us all got online shopping? Because I am inclined to never visit your mall again. Even in daylight it's offensive. SO............other than this ridiculously bright light, our dining experience was really very good. They have very good desserts now---not just the granola head chia pudding, but real chocolate desserts (two of them) and good cocktails that are reasonably strong. The edamame dumplings have never failed me in the 15 years I've been going to TF, they are just soooooo good. And the Harvest Salad is satisfying, even for dinner. All five of us enjoyed everything we ordered, from appetizers, to salads, to bowls, to salmon. Very good, but next time I go, I am going to find a seat away from the glaring and rude lighting in the mall.

Yelp
Stopped in for a valentine dinner. Casual laid back sitting with a very upbeat vibe. A place to hangout with friends but with some very delicious food. The service was amazing. Greeted by a beautiful smiled hostess and sat us to our table right away. Our server Becca was awesome and attentive. Recommended some amazing drinks from the bar. Smoke show old fashioned and the indigo. Excellent. We ate the Lasgna al Pesto which was very good. Flavors were just perfect. Also had the grilled tenderloin. Make to perfection with the best mashed potatoes. Started with the charred cauliflower and the meatloaf sliders that was the perfect appetizer served on some homemade fresh bread. Was a perfect evening. Food was absolutely delicious and so fresh. Excellent.

Yelp
I came here because I have celiac disease and was excited about their gluten free options. What's good about true food kitchen is that it's totally accessible for disabled people. Not like performative accessible, real accessible. Wide aisles that people with assistive devices could easily navigate, no stairs or anything to get to the front door. They did not question my service dog. Also, importantly, our servers never leaned over my service dog with hot coffee or full plates. This is often a faux pas that servers make and it puts my SD in danger. So I appreciated that they were conscious of that. The food itself was a little disappointing. I had the blueberry gluten free pancakes and they were super undercooked inside. They were supposed to be served with Greek yogurt and compote on top-- which technically they were, but it was like a blob of each-- too small for me to have topping with each bite. What was provided lasted me about 3 bites. Not much more than a decoration. The Greek yogurt was also not Greek yogurt, it was clearly sour cream. That's fine but they should've told me they were gonna give me sour cream instead of Greek yogurt. These were also served with fake syrup. For the price of these, they should have had more toppings and real maple syrup. Also, this was the adult size meal. Made me wonder how small the kids one must have been. Service was friendly, however, we had some trouble getting their attention when we wanted to order. Several servers stood feet from us near the bar, talking and being on their phones. I have no problem with servers taking a little break, but I don't think that they should be doing it 5 feet away from the table, I think that they should have a break room to go to. Overall it was adequate, but I was just so bummed out by the price of my meal as compared to the quality of it, that I'm really not sure if I would come back. I guess I would be interested to try some of their lunch and dinner items, so maybe I will give them another chance with their savories. It's great how many gluten free options they have but the number of gf items doesn't matter much if they are all the same underwhelming quality as my pancakes were.

Yelp
Food was good. I had ordered the Korean Chicken Sandwich w/ a kale salad. Flavors were good, & the fact that they air fry the chicken was a plus. Service was good as well. Our server at the bar was attentive & friendly. Ambiance is nice, causal & spacious. I def recommend this place if you're in the area.

Yelp
The food here is very basic yet extremely overpriced. I waited for over 9 minutes for my server to come to my table. This is unacceptable. When he got there, he wanted to get me a water and run off again. This is very bad behavior. Training needs to be done to correct this. I immediately put in my full order. I asked for water with lemon (it arrived without the lemon), Brussels sprouts, a salad with chicken (for $7 extra), and a smoky old fashioned. I was given less than 4oz of chicken for $7 and that's a complete ripoff. The salad came with so little dressing that I thought they forgot. I asked for more on the side and the server brought it. The salad was good but not for the price. Chicken was completely flavorless. The Brussels sprouts were the worst I've ever tasted. It was sour and charred. I ate 4 bites and thankfully they were removed from my bill. Fortunately for them the drink was an absolute winning combination of smoke and whiskey. It came with a nice glass and wonderful display during the pouring. Overall, this is a place for taking a date, but not if you're hungry (like I was). The nice open ceiling concept, the layout (with outdoor seating ) and helpful host, unfortunately had their qualities diminished by average food. Lastly, this menu is too big. That's likely the reason why the dishes are not exquisite. So much potential and missed opportunities here.

Leonna T.

Yelp
There are not many restaurants within Broadway plaza so I decided to take my mom here as it looked fairly healthy. It sure was healthy but the margherita pizza we ordered needs a lot of work. The pizza was not cut all the way, where the crust was barely split apart. The watery center was due to the sauce splitting. The crust was dry and tough. The butternut squash soup was the star of the show and was delicious! Matcha latte was decent. Service here is really kind and made the experience better to make up for the food.

Yelp
Big fan of this chain. Walnut Creek location is no different. Casual big foyer ambiance with decent service (some servers were attentive and others seemed more casual in their approach). At lease one place that doesn't tack on this fee or that. So feel free to tip wisely. Food is very diverse and healthy with "calories" listed for educated decisions. 10-15% veg options and healthy ones. Organic food. Environment is very noisy with no background music.

Kelly R.

Yelp
Great go to while in downtown Walnut Creek! They have a nice covered outdoor patio with lots of heaters/ shades so protects against all weather. Food is great! Highly recommend getting either the hummus or guacamole as a starter. For the mains, the curry bowl and turkey burger are always solid options. They also have a seasonal menu, which during the summer time especially always has great dishes.

Sarah T.

Yelp
I really appreciate all the gluten free items here. And I would recommend this restaurant to anyone gluten free. There are other good things too: food is decent, parking is easy, the space is comfortable with wide aisles. It gets 3 stars instead of 4 because some of the dishes we had were either sub-par or very average, but I'm willing--maybe even excited-- to return and try other things. It might be one of those restaurants where if you know what to order it's more stars. blueberry pancakes: these were subpar. They were gooey/undercooked in the center, the flavor was nothing special, the blueberry compote was tiny and the greek yogurt topping tasted like sour cream. I would not order these again. breakfast tacos: the flavors were good, but they were pretty average tacos and a small portion for the price. eggs + sweet potato hash: good flavor and the portion on this one was better than the tacos. I would order this again, although it wasn't like a memorable dish, but it was gluten free. The coffee was drinkable. They have a large mostly gluten free dessert menu, though we didn't try. The seating looks appealing for singles and small groups.

Yelp
A friend suggested we go here for lunch. It's been a while since I've been to downtown WC so it was cool to try something new to me. There was a little bit of a waif but not bad since there was so much to see to kill some time. This place is huge. Tons of seating and oh so open. It was very welcoming. The first thing I saw was the Bee Positive artwork on the back wall. As we were taken to our table I was just enjoying the decor. We got seated and then greeted by Renee who would be serving us. Oh she was super nice. Totally on top of it and very attentive. Renee had a great personality which always aids in a pleasant experience. Upon looking at the menu, it was hard to decide. I mean, I could eat everything on there. I just had a burger a couple of days ago so I opted for the pot roast sandwich. Renee came back and said they were out of it for the day. While disappointed, I figured wow, it's a good sign. I'll have to come earlier next time to try it. I saw the sweet potatoes a neighboring table was eating and it looked good. I ordered that with the hamburger. Another table next to us just had their meal served and oh my, it smelled amazing. I was so looking forward to sinking my teeth into my grass fed burger. I was so happy when it came. The sweet potatoes were nice and soft. Plain but flavorful. Honestly, sweet potatoes don'f need anything. The burger had the softest bun which I completely appreciate. As I bit into it my mouth was very satisfied. It didn't feel heavy or greasy. It felt light and I didn't feel guilty eating it. And the calorie count on it is oh so low, 690 if I'm not mistaken. Everything on the menu is light which is great! Renee brought us a slice of pie. It was seasonal. Squash pie topped with a coconut creme. Oh my word, that was delish. It can definitely rival a pumpkin pie or even a sweet potato pie. That was really good. I don't live in the area anymore so I was stoked to be able to try it. This place is great. I'm already thinking about who I could bring here during my next visit home.

Yelp
Disappointing visit tonight. Have been to True Food more times than I can remember. Usually food is good and it's very kid friendly. This visit today was far below standards. Food came out in a timely fashion and was cooked through, but was either lukewarm or cold. Had clearly been ready for a while before brought to us. We ended up eating it anyway - hungry little kids don't give you much flexibility to send stuff back, and server didn't check up on us until meal was over anyway. I mentioned to her that food had come out cold and she apologized and said she'd send the manager over. But that never happened. Realistically, we'll be back at some point to try again but probably not anytime soon.

Marielu G.

Yelp
Cute interior and very friendly/attentive staff! Came in for happy hour and ordered an app of the grilled cheese dippers and tomato soup. Delicious but very underwhelming in terms of portion size. Not shareable at all (pic for reference) and it was $12!! It's kind of hard to justify if the price is worth for the portion or not. But it was so good, especially the soup! For drinks I wanted lemonade but the closest thing they had to it was the lemon-lime spritzer. A hard pass for me. I wish I had seen the rest of their drink menu before ordering because they had a good selection of coffee & matchas! Would definitely try out their horchata matcha if I ever found myself back. I ordered the spicy korean sandwich and I'm still trying to figure out where the spicy was. It lacked a bit of flavor. Despite the portion size being a bit small, it did make me feel satisfied. We loved the chocolate flourless cake tho! Definitely a highlight. Overall this place does stick to its name because each dish tasted very clean and true food. You could tell that they use good quality products.

Jessica L.

Yelp
I love this place, always give us yummy food and great service. The food is delicious, organic and fresh. Plus thumbs up for no seed oils, ethically sourced meat, and vegetarian options. This is indoor & covered outdoor seating (with heating also) Highly recommend.

Donna N.

Yelp
I appreciate the later hours here, 10pm on weekends plus ample parking in the lot ! I enjoy the selections offering vegan & vegetarian as well as omnivore, something for everyone ! There is indoor & covered outdoor seating ( w/ heaters for those chilly nights)...outdoor is often quieter ! the servers are friendly & casual usually fairly attentive ! My personal faves are the ancient grains bowl w/ added tofu : tasty w/ many veggies ! We like the edamame guacamole but always need to ask for more chips ! I like the pizza w/ mushrooms & spinach but omit the vegan ricotta ( too overpowering for my tastes) Whatever vegan desserts available are always a nice sweet touch to end the meal so save room !

Irene Y.

Yelp
Just had the new fall menu, I had such a great time I forgot to take photos. Loved the experience of being invited to try their fall menu. Starters! Love the Nashville hot chicken sliders and sourdough! The butter was amazing. Beef tenderloin on point! Love the cheesy mashed potatoes!!! Finished with the OMB peanut butter tart, so decedent! Service friendly, not over being. Kudos to Krystal and Lulu for making it fun. Ambiance- thank goodness for heating lamps!

Sarah L.

Yelp
Summary: Good for a fast food. I'd come back again if I have no time to go somewhere else. Service: Meeting. Not above and beyond. We were standing waiting to be greeted/seated, a guy approached the hostess area and did not say a beep. A simple hello and explain that he is not the hostess would be helpful so the customer won't feel ignored (as the case for us). Waiters were good and friendly, they did what they are expected to do. Food: Dumpling (edamame) was salty for my taste and soggy. Other than that, it was actually good. Burger: Patty was juicy. Sauce is good. But bread (bottom bun) was soggy like as if it's been sitting. Sweet potatoes were mushy but I enjoyed it. However I requested no onions on my burger and I didn't know sweet potatoes come with onions. So that's a minus for the waiter. I have sensitivity to onions. Bathroom: clean. Parking: parking structure is free for the first 2/3 hours (needs confirmation) then starts to charge.

Yelp
I had a wonderful lunch with my friends who just loved to California. I picked this location because it is central, plenty of parking and shopping nearby. The restaurant is beautiful and very spacious. We felt comfortable inside and the also have outside seating. The menu has lots of options and the cocktail menu is wonderful. We received excellent service from our waitress, she was kind, attentive and knowledgeable. We ended up staying in the restaurant for almost three hours. A wonderful experience. Spent about $220 with tip for 3 entrees, an appetizer and 6 cocktails.

Yelp
An exceptional restaurant that focuses on quality ingredients and exceptional customer service. The salads are super fresh and the bowls are to die for! They have an extensive drink menu and an incredible Happy Hour. Definitely worth grabbing a meal while shopping at Broadway Plaza. A special shout out to Haley for going above and beyond for our group today. Excellent customer service delivering amazing foods.

Lisa T.

Yelp
My salad was INCREDIBLE. You have to try it! No need to add protein, it's perfect as is. I'm docking them a star because my waiter basically neglected me while pouring on the attention at the two tables on either side of me. He brought iced tea, but no sweetener, spoon or straw. He never checked with me to see how the food was. He didn't suggestive sell. And he slapped down the bill and receipt with zero courtesy. Again, while chatting it up with the nearby tables!

Mary K.

Yelp
Went in with granddaughter. Ordered the kid's cheese pizza. She loved it! I of course had to try a piece... it's pretty tasty. Thin crust and cheesy. The staff are kids friendly! I had the poke bowl with brown rice and cucumbers it was ok. The rice needed to be cooked longer.

J Christian E.

Yelp
Went here for a nice weekend brunch. It is dog friendly which is a plus. The outside patio area is nicely shaded. The food is pretty good depending on what you order. I got the matcha horchata and sausage pizza with side of chili ranch. The match is pretty good 4/5, the horchata is pretty strong with a mild hint of matcha Love the sausage pizza, never thought sunny side egg would pair well with a pizza, definitely a must try!!! The chili ranch is good but was expecting more kick or some acidity from it. To me, it tasted like basic ranch. Service is pretty good. Depending on the day and capacity, it can be a but on the slower side.

Amanda C.

Yelp
We went during a busy lunch time, but luckily got seats within a couple minutes of waiting. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and is spacious with lots of fresh air and sunshine. We ordered a few items - the roasted brussel sprouts, Korean noodle bowl with tofu, grilled chicken mozzarella pita bread panini, an apple lemonade and a margarita. The food itself is sourced from fresh, high quality ingredients which shines through in the presentation of these dishes. There are plenty of options to please a diverse palate. The brussel sprouts had a nice salty and sweet balance, while the noodle bowl had nice chunks of tofu and veggies. The panini was alright, as it did lack a bit of flavor. The apple lemonade was amazing and so fresh! Lastly, the margarita was quite strong but it actually paired nicely with the lemonade and was very refreshing.

Theresa S.

Yelp
I have been here several times but I've only tried one dish: the Ancient Grains Bowl. It's savory and healthy and you can order it with meat or not. The bowl comes with miso roasted sweet potatoes, cilantro pesto, charred mushrooms and onions, and snap peas. Mmm-mm! I usually get it to go, but it's somehow better if you eat it there. Service is mid. They do have a nice mocktail menu and they serve alcoholic drinks too.

Yelp
Ladies who lunch edition. What's a bit of shopping without some lunch? True food kitchen has been a staple in WC for so many years, and is still a popular option. It's conveniently located in the Nordstrom/Macys shopping area, it's healthy and some dishes shine. Ambiance - 5 stars - it's spacious with a covered patio, beautiful and bright, a lovely space for a meal. Concept - 5 stars - healthy, no nut oils and many gluten free and vegan options. Calories provided on menu items, as well. Prices - 2 stars - insanely expensive. I know, it's Walnut Creek. The poke bowl was delicious, and while not huge, so filling. I'd order that again. Expensive, but good. The chicken ranch wrap on the other hand ringing in close to $19/$20 was bland, and a bit sad. Not chock full of protein, but rather a bit skimpy with no ranch flavor shining thru. I'd skip. Overall, health is wealth and I appreciate that so much about True Food Kitchen. It's a higher price point, but I'd recommend and I'd return, knowing some options seemingly have a bit more value than others.

Winnie W.

Yelp
Nice ambience. Good food, good service. Food tastes good, balanced, clean & fresh but portions are small and too pricey for what they are. Between the 3 of us, we ordered : * Edamame Dumplings to share - good balanced flavors. Dumpling skin is thin and on point, inside is mashed edamame with cheese filling, and topped with a soy-based sauce. It's good overall but too pricey and not worth it at $15 for 5 small pieces. * Grilled Salmon salad - good but nothing too special or to write home about. * Lasagna - good. again, nothing extraordinary. Tastes clean & fresh, with nice flavors. * Korean Glass Noodles - I just wanted to see how they make a Korean dish.. fusion style or what, and this dish was a bit of a disappointment. Portion is sadly very small, flavors are decently good but lacks key (and pricier) ingredients such as shiitake mushroom, beef strips. It's more like a vegetarian dish and they laced the glass noodles with spinach, julienned carrot, bean sprouts, and sesame oil. A decent dish but the portion is too small and expensive for what it is. * Excellent coffee and cocktail / mocktail drinsk. Overall a decent experience. However at this price point, there are plenty of better options.

Yelp
Just appalling how bad this dining experience was. Possibly one of the worst ever. I understand this maybe due to holiday rush. I ordered the Rancher Hash, and my partner the Farmers Market Scramble. The potatoes in the Rancher Hash were unbelievably dry and a little undercooked. I understand they're supposed to be healthy and not deep fried, but air frying does need oil and you still gotta cook them thoroughly. The amount of beef was so little, they might as well have held it. The sweet potatoes on the farmer scramble was undercooked as well. The eggs on the other were way overcooked to the point they had become dry, cakey and completely brown on one side.

Melanie L.

Yelp
I love TFK. I frequent the Palo Alto location and was in the East Bay and couldn't help but to stop by this location for a rainy day lunch. Our party was greeted and taken care of immediately. Staff members were very friendly and everyone made sure we were good at all times. Very enjoyable experience overall. I highly recommend the Butternut Squash Pizza - so delicious we actually ordered another one for the table!

Tim H.

Yelp
I ordered a grass fed burger and was expecting a hand made burger patty for the $20.00 burger. This burger reminded me of a Costco frozen burger patty and maybe it was. Also was not a fan of the mushroom grilled onion sauce that it came with. Tasted very sweet to me and that confused my burger experience. To be honest it really was not my kind of place. I like to eat meat and the grass fed burger was really the only choice on the menu for me. The restaurant was very noisy. Mostly everything on the menu is some sort of salad. I know lots of other people like this kind of place but just wanted to share this as it may be helpful.

Logan S.

Yelp
Such a great place to grab great tasting food that's healthy!! Would recommend the turkey burger and spaghetti squash, usually my go to. The service was great as it was not too slow and not too rushed either. They accommodated a few extra requests we had with no problem. The ambience is nice and modern, we sat outside and they even had outdoor heaters to keep us warm.

Linda C.

Yelp
Jacob was a wonderful bartender and server, I hope to return here soon! However, I wish they would bring back the Holiday tasting tower

Skipp E.

Yelp
You really can't go wrong with true food kitchen. I've dined here a dozen or more times and haven't had anything but good experiences. The portions are big, and the ingredients agree fresh and healthy. It gets busy, almost always so this can add some wait time for for food but it's well worth it. This trip I had the vegan double cheeseburger. It did not disappoint. It wasn't a "fake meat patty" and was cooked slightly crispy (which I really liked). The veggies were fresh and the sauce was tangy. No complaints, definitely an item I will order again. We also had the hummus plate as an appetizer. Also very good, massive amount of hummus. They refilled our pita bread once we ran out also. The cucumbers and feta and Kalamata olives atop the hummus was really tasty. It all went together nicely. We shared a pitcher of peach lemonade. It was good but a little on the tart side. Service is always good and the staff is friendly and energetic.o

Yelp
The food here is great! I was visiting my friends and family in California and they wanted to go there so I was like sure! I had been to the boca raton, fl location many times before and I love it! I've never had a bad experience here, the servers are always super nice, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is super clean and with a lot of plants and a chill vibe!

Yelp
Bland food, dirty cups , long wait Waste of time and money Won't recommend this place and definitely won't come back I'm so disappointed

Yelp
The chef tonight whoever does the wok bowls so awesome! Very delicious very detailed with the flavor and outstanding meal!

Edited from one star to four after a manager gave us $25 for the issues in the beginning. Cocktails and food were delicious. Horrible service. We were seated first on an empty patio and no one brought us water as the patio started to fill up. No one came to take our drink order. When my water did come, it had something black floating in it. I'm expecting a discount and will update accordingly afterwards.

Yelp
This evening, we went to True Food kitchen because my daughter was craving a margarita pizza so she ordered that. My son ordered the chicken tenders. And I ordered the chop salad with salmon cooked, medium rare. I was very happy with my salad. It's the best salad I've had at True Food kitchen for the last few years.

Yelp
I was in need of some vegan/gf and healthy options for lunch. I am never disappointed with the consistency of TrueFood! Food: Kale-aid- I usually love getting this green juice lots of vital vitamins and great taste Edamame Hummus - it was really yummy the hummus but the chips were on the harder side, I wonder if they can lighten up the texture. Ancient Grains with Tempeh- good and warm! Service: I sat at the bar top the server was super friendly,I will be honest the prior time I came to this location food took a loooooong time to come out & it was hard to get the server. Hopefully this popular location will invest in tablet ordering that would be huge Ambiance : New interior & nice chair

Yelp
The breakfast steak burrito was fantastic! I was surprised it came semi-deconstructed with the beans on the side instead of inside but it was delicious. My partner had the quiche which I got to try a bite of and he was a fan of the hatch chiles. We had attentive bartenders looking after us and the rest of the staff seemed friendly and personable. The place got pretty busy, so get in early so you can snag a seat!

Yelp
Are we paying a premium cause the food is supposed to be healthy? We sure didn't taste the quality when it came to taste, especially with how much items were in comparison to how much those items usually are elsewhere. The husband tried their version of a breakfast burrito and for $16, it was super tiny! Didn't taste much different than breakfast burritos half the price that are bigger as well. The salsas / sauces on the side were ok, but didn't stand out. They didn't have the item I ordered initially, so I just chose the poke bowl instead of going through the menu when everyone else has ordered. Holy moly, what an expensive poke bowl. It had a good tuna to stuff ratio, but that tuna was not good! Felt a bit odd afterwards. Over $20 (was it over $30 too?) for a small bowl that wasn't that great. The fish def didn't taste fresh, and the other stuff was alright. Thank goodness for the grains to balance out the salt and other stuff as well. The kids got pizza and butter noodles. The best here was probably the pizza, but it also wasn't noteworthy. My kids had no interest coming back here, bummer. Service was alright, and the space inside was good. They had a brunch tower item that looked nice, which was what most people at that time were ordering.

Yelp
Friendly staff, clean location. The place is massive on the inside so great for groups. The food was pretty good. I feel like it could have been seasoned a little more and, as a lasagna, the ratio of pasta to filling was off, but I left satisfied with my meal.

Yelp
Always love coming here! The food is consistently good and the service is great. Jacob was very knowledgeable about the menu!

Yelp
Honestly this review is about the service. Saturday evening, made reservations for 6pm. We have two young kids. It is 6:30pm now and we just got our order taken. We still have no water. We have been coming here for years but this is just ridiculous. Really frustrating to say the least. If you have kids, be warned. My son is losing his mind

Yelp
True kitchen is a restaurant to eat at for lunch or to go on a dinner date. I stopped in today to have a few cocktails and the service is great here.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try out this place for a while ever since I stuck my head in while shopping nearby. Cue the holiday lunch parties and we get a table for 8 of us. Place was absolutely buzzing with office holiday luncheons. It was almost too busy, as the servers and wait staff were obviously overwhelmed. It took a long while before our drink orders were taken. But I try not to fret when places are busy - and especially during the holidays. Love the decor and ambiance and energy. Very cool space. For me, I ordered the fried rice. I was a bit skeptical since it was made with brown rice. But let me tell you - it was pretty dang good. Great flavor and almost felt healthy with the use of the nutty brown rice. There was some mix in which I couldnt quite tell what it was, but it worked well together. If I had some critiques, I could have done with more of it. It was on the small side. Even my coworkers spaghetti bowl was really tiny. I also ordered a carrot cake. I'll do you a favor - skip this. It's horrible. haha. There's no taste, I don't even know how to describe it. Quite pricey for lunch, but hey, it's a posh WC strip diner. What can I say.

Yelp
I've never left a review before but I think now is the perfect time for me to warn anyone if they are getting food to-go please double check your food before getting home. Our first visit here was a bust because i was excited to see they had a plant based cheese burger and wanted to try (with no bun). I get all the way home I open my food and take a bite to realize it's the grass fed burger. I'm disappointed because I loved the esthetic of this place but I'm scared to go back. I don't eat meat
