True North

Great equipment and helpful staff at the rentals. However, booked with a group and every day had issues with our lift passes, rentals, contract, etc. Spent extra time sorting everything out every day of our 3 day pass. Also, phone system takes you to a call center that routes you around and no one is able to assist. Wish there was a more seamless system.

The whole staff simply amazing! Tyler and David were truly so accommodating and attentive. I must of asked a million questions and they answered them in detail. I felt very safe and secure to explore the slopes all thanks to they’re advice and coaching. Thank you guys.

I have previously rented ski equipment at many mountains, and was surprised by the convenience, excellent service, and reasonable prices at True North. Their boot fitting was quick and efficient, and had my bindings were adjusted quickly and accurately. The process was expedited by reserving my equipment and filling out my size and other info through the epic app. Impressively, they sell the highest end, latest equipment at the normal retail prices. As an epic member I was able to get a 20% discount on the items I needed. I found their concierge service to be very convenient. Once I had my skis picked out, they took them to the bottom of the hill for me, and after I was done skiing I checked them with the concierge and didn't have to carry them back with me. Overall I was very satisfied with my experience with True North, and will be renting from them again the next time I'm in Vail.

The reservation system was confusing and prompts for rentals resulted in convoluted reservations for each day. Phone system circulates you to call centers who say they cannot help you with rentals. Hotel walked a message to the rental pickup and still never called back. Picking up rentals then was confusing because despite my receipt and reservation number, they couldn't find our records. Finally, they didn't set up my partners lift ticket correctly and under someone elses name resulting in long wait times on a ski day to fix it. The equipment itself was great; their system was atrocious.
