I am very happy with the BBQ here. This restaurant is in the new H.E.B. on Congress. I have tried the brisket (lean and burnt ends), jalapeño cheese sausage, turkey, and ribs. Everything was very tasty. Sides I have tried are the coleslaw, mac & cheese, baked beans, and cornbread. Desserts have included peach cobbler and banana pudding. It is quite convenient to grab lunch here and then knock off some grocery shopping upstairs. One of my favorite new BBQ spots in ATX. I thought the pricing was very reasonable compared to other BBQ places in town.

I ordered a 2 meat plate for myself (the plate in the picture). I also got a 1 meat plate. I received this. I got a mix of fatty and lean brisket and I can’t really understand how someone would look at this and think oh yeah that looks right. The 1 meat plate I received had more meat on it than the 2 meat plate. I would’ve just gotten the 1 meat plate and saved myself $7. I’m not the biggest fan of bbq to begin with and this just made me never want to eat it again. I didn’t even finish the sides. The coleslaw was much better than the potato salad though.

I have been meaning to come here for a while now. So I was across the street and decided to give it a try. The BBQ was on point! I tried the combo plate with fatty brisket and ribs. We also got the Brsiket Birria Ramen. omg it is legit so good!!!

Google
True Texas BBQ at HEB is a great spot for a quick, budget-friendly BBQ fix. I had the brisket sandwich, which came with sliced sausage—solid portion and good flavor for the price. The place is clean, and the service is friendly, making for an easy and satisfying meal. Definitely a spot I’d return to when craving BBQ without spending a fortune.

Google
Friendliest staff in town and probably the best brisket you can find, just look at this pic. Also all the side items are amazing, as well as the desserts. Creamed corn, brisket beans, banana pudding, peach or blueberry cobbler - they don’t miss. I’m not even a Mac n cheese guy but theirs slaps. I love True Texas BBQ

My daughter and I always come in for my daughter's fix of Mac N Cheese. Darin and the crew are always friendly...kind...and welcoming/inviting! Thank you so much for allowing us the pleasure of making great memories when we dine in way longer than we should be. It's just that great! Willow & Jess

I am addicted to the loaded baked potato with sliced brisket, amazing!! 🔥🔥🔥 Darin is often the person who takes my order or brings my food out, he is absolutely fantastic and always makes me smile, thanks Darin 🙌 The customer service is excellent all around and it is always delivered with a smile which is something I greatly appreciate. Thank you True Texas BBQ ✨️

Yelp
Bring back bbq sauce. So annoying to ask and ask and ask for extra bbq sauce and they either give one or none. Otherwise, love this place and the staff. The cutting corners on the bbq sauce should cause an uproar in texas of all places

Yelp
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BURNT ENDS? I am so disappointed that the burnt ends that used to be so meaty and were actually burnt ends have turned into a slimy pile of barely burnt fat with very little real brisket. I had bought some to take out to a friend in California last month. I was hoping that slimed container was an anomaly. I let them know what the serving was like and they graciously put my name on a list to get a replacement order next time I was there. Replacement order, same. The gal that helped me with the replacement was super sweet though. Great staff...icky burnt ends.

Yelp
Ordered to go and was surprised at how good this place was with its moist flavorful brisket, cheesy mac & cheese, seasoned potato salad and sweet, southern cornbread!

Yelp
Food is of average quality but very reasonable prices compared to other bbq places. Service is fine but not exceptional. Seating are is clean and nondescript.

Yelp
Lady at register was very rude and didn't get my order right I ordered two meals and she only placed one

John S.

Yelp
The prices are great and my wife and I enjoyed their food. What's not to like about that?

Yelp
My guys from work and I came here one day for lunch. It wasn't too bad too expensive. The meals were okay but didn't seem fresh at all. When we received our food it wasn't warm at all. Our experience could have been better if our food was served warm. I ordered the chopped brisket in a baked potato. That was fulfilling, as it was just right for my appetite on the day we came here. If you're looking for a great BBQ meal this place isn't too bad, but it's nothing compared to what you would experience at some of the five star BBQ restaurants for quality and taste for BBQ. I would come here again just to eat for the price value during another lunch time frame.

Yelp
Alright this place has taken a huge turn for the worse. Some time after my 5-star review I noticed they were giving me less bread and little or no BBQ sauce. But I thought maybe they were having some off days, so fastforward after my hiatus of this place, I order 1.5 lbs of meat. The meat was just a slimy and cold mess, the mac n cheese is cold and dry. The amazing amount of pickles, onions and bread? Gone. 1.5 lbs and it says 140 Calories per half-pound so that implies 6 slices of 70 Cal bread. I think it's safe for me to update this review to 2-stars. BBQ sauce was once optional but I now find it necessary.

Tracy M.

Yelp
I ordered this the first night I got in Texas from my hotel. It was horrible. Fatty, difficult to chew meat sides were all boring. Don't think I'll go to them again, there's too many other places that are good.
google avatar

Yelp
The brisket is always good I usually order a sliced brisket sandwich with the pickles on side sometimes they get it and sometimes not I have gotten without sauce when I ask for pickles on side but I always go back best brisket this end of town

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Spent $32 and came back with dry brisket nachos today. My kids refused to eat it because it's too dry; when I went back to complain, the best answer the so-called manager could give me is that they only put 2oz in each plate per policy. I even told him today is the third day in a row that I e bought these and it hasn't been this dry and he flat out did not care. I had to buy a $5 cup of queso so my kids can at least eat the 3 plates ($32 spent) that I had originally bought. This is very unfair and disappointing. I hope he gets served some dry brisket nachos somewhere someday so he can know what it feels like. Am done with this place!

Yelp
Good Bbq, especially for HEB! Would recommend! Their ribs, turkey, brisket and sides are all worth having. I usually just get the 1 meat plate which comes with two sides, bread, and all the fixings! I think their sauces (all 3) options are pretty tasty. Will return again when I'm craving Bbq and don't feel like Rudy's or another option near me (SW Austin)

Javier D.

Yelp
Very mediocre fast food BBQ. Only get it if you can't go anywhere else, don't like anything else in the grocery store, and you're really hungry. Service was fast and respectful. Just not good BBQ and there's so many better options.

Yelp
First off, two words: Texas Torpedo. What else do you want outta life? I guess knowing what it is would help. Sheer yumminess. Jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and brisket and then wrapped in sausage and smothered in a sweet chipotle sauce of some form after having been smoked. I had burnt ends, pulled pork, pork ribs (St Louise style), beans and cornbread. I could just keep it simple and say it was all great - it was. Very good, actually. Enough so that I will come here more regularly, if I can. I have to almost agree with another reviewer who stated something to the effect: "How does this place have less than 5 stars". I say almost because, if I could, I would give them 4.5. Only the top Austin joints get 5. And these guys are good. But just not quite there for several reason. But they don't deserve a 4. That would be an injustice. Of course, if you're unlucky enough to have stumbled on this review, you want to know about the food so I will stop rambling about other things. The torpedo is awesome. Great flavor. The sauce is what does it for me though. If I could make a change or offer a criticism, it needs a little more cream cheese or some sharp cheddar. My two cents. That would liven it up a bit and push it over the edge. The pulled pork is phenomenal. My main complaint is it comes already sauced. Quite a but actually. I would prefer to have it arrive without sauce and be allowed to sauce it how I want (I like just a little but of sauce to augment the meat, not cover up the meat/barbecue flavor. But the reality is: it tasted phenomenal. The ribs are almost perfect. Great flavor. A little peppery with a sweetness. Just need a little more time to be fall off the bone, maybe 30 - 45 minutes I would estimate. But great flavor, juicy and nice and tender. The burnt ends. Man. They are good. Absolutely LOVE them. I want more. They also come already saucy. Again, covers up the meat and smoke flavor a bit but that is nitpicking since they are really so good. The sides we equally good. The beans needed just a bit of salt but otherwise great tasting and just the right amount of juice/sauce. The cornbread is awesome. No. Not awesome. Better than that. Some of the best I have ever had. I would return just to buy that. Lastly, they have 3 sauces. Each is very nice. I like them a little thicker. But flavor-wise, all 3 are good. I would be happy with any one of them. They are each completely different. So, I loved it. I really can't complain. I realize after writing this that my first comment that they deserve 4.5 stars is inaccurate. They do deserve the 5. My complaints are personal preferences. Not accurate to the food itself because my taste is not necessarily the same as your or someone else's. Everything was very well done and perfect or near perfectly cooked (the exception being the ribs needing just a bit more). Nothing didn't taste good or at all off. Nicely done.

Yelp
The staff was polite and the wait was not long to collect my food. As for the photo, I was quite greedy and started eating without taking a photo of the plate first. The portions were sizable for one. The four slices of turkey were juicy, and sealed with lots of flavor. I dipped in their signature Texas BBQ sauce, and I wished I ordered more. I would share the same opinion of the chicken. Unfortunately, the Mac and cheese was unpalatable. The noodles were over-cooked, swimming in a pool of liquid cheese. This was the least favorite part of the HEB BBQ experience. The collard greens were a nice texture, not soggy, and not too salty. Overall, I'd definitely order the Two-Meat plate again.

Yelp
Food was excellent, ambience was very nice, and service was good The ribs were excellent with and without sauce.

Yelp
My first time at H-E-B true tx bbq. The meat was delicious mouth watering good. So much to choose from I'm definitely going back. It was busy but got food in a timely manner. Did a little shopping after I ate. Thanks H-E-B keep up the amazing work.

Yelp
They have wonderful choices for brisket that other restaurants don't have like the somewhat charred ends but it's just a tiny bit greasy for my taste. Friendly and efficient employees are very quick so excellent service! But by far the best peach cobbler since my Grandmother's recipe! Haven't been inside the restaurant but always looks inviting and clean from the inside of H-E-B!

Yelp
HUGE PRICE HIKE - I have ordered their Texas Size sides from catering for our bi-annual hog roast and other events for a while now. Up to Fall '23 most sides were $32 and feeds 24. Now sides like mac & cheese, brisket beans, potato salad are $34 and feeds 12!!!! Peach cobbler went from $24 feeds 24 to $30 feeds 12. That is same price for HALF the people. 100% increase. (these prices were listed on their online ordering function (EZ catering) but HEB had not told EZ about the lowered number of servings, so as a result we had our function on Nov 4th and ran out of sides (we ordered, based on previous orders & the website, for 120 people but only got enough food for 60)! They used shallower pans and it wasn't until I called to ask what happened did the manager at the local branch mention that corporate has changed the portion sizes but not changed it online. His solution was that I should have come inside the store to order rather than order online!). Probably by now they have fixed it in their online ordering system as they had to refund me half the price of the food I thought I had paid for but didn't get. This was not EZ cater issue, nor the local store, nor the quality of the food, but the corporate decision making and sloppy roll out that I have issue with. Shame, cause people liked their food and it seemed like a hold out for decent value. But not anymore.

Yelp
The only location I have tried is the one off Slaughter but I can't find it on Yelp. They were amazing! Great prices on their draft beers. I really enjoyed the choices. The Texas Gold was the best! That was the perfect piece of crispy, juicy, fatty brisket. The BBQ brisket potato, nachos, and Fritos were so great! The BBQ is just incredible! The Mac and cheese was some of the best I have ever had! I was super impressed but then again, most stuff that comes from HEB is impressive. My only complaint is that I don't live in Texas anymore and can't have this often. I will be back anytime I come back home! I have to try those big beef ribs they boast. They are only available on Fridays though. Get your HEB BBQ on! You will be impressed!

Yelp
I got food poisoning eating dinner here. Spent the whole night at the hotel and the next day on the plane getting sick.
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
The bbq was just alright, nothing special. Ribs and Mac and cheese stood out to me. Got the order really fast because there was only one car ahead. They have too much plastic/waste in their Togo orders. I liked that they advertised growler refills, but when I got inside they said you had to use their growlers so I ended up not getting beer because that seems ridiculous to me. I don't need another growler, just fill mine up...

Yelp
I enjoyed my lunch here! Quick and causal bbq without the "theater" of Texas bbq. Sometimes for bbq in Austin you have to wait in long lines or the whole thing turns in to an experience more than just a simple lunch. Here, everything was delicious and fast causal. My favorites were the pulled pork and sausage. Both very good and seasoned well with the right amount of smoke. The ribs were good, but I like mine a bit more tender - these were "competition" style with a little bite needed to get them off the bone. The sides were also great: my favorite were the brisket beans which had huge prices of fatty brisket mixed in with pintos. I would definitely come back. I wish the ribs were more to my liking but that's my only major critique. Also, good iced tea!

John S.

Yelp
First trip to the HEB Barbecue Restaurant in Allen, TX was average at best. The food was just okay, not great. Ribs were pretty good but the brisket was not impressive at all. The sides were average. The portions were very small and to make the situation even worse, the brisket and sides were served in styrofoam cups. My advice is if you want to go the grocery store HEB is hard to beat, but if you want barbecue go to a barbecue restaurant, there are lots of good ones in Texas.

Yelp
I had to wait 90 minutes. It was worth the wait. Was it good. YES! Was it tasty. YES! To be continue...

Yelp
I was going to try this when it first opened, but the line was far too long. I came back today at 10 to 11 in the morning and they were not quite open so I drove around the parking lot. By the time I got back in the drive they line, there were three cars ahead of me! So it took a little longer but I was anxious to try the barbecue as it smelled so good. I ordered 2 pounds of lean brisket, 1 pound of pulled pork, a half chicken, the brisket beans and coleslaw, and 2 cherry cobblers. I also requested some of each of the three sauces (peppery, sweet, and vinegar) and they provided 3 containers of each type! Between the wait in line and wait for my food I was there about 30 minutes. It was a 10 minute drive home and the food was all as hot (or cold in the case of the coleslaw, onion, pickles and bread) as it was supposed to be. The lean brisket was amazing! Not much fat and very delicious. The pulled pork was great though I personally would prefer to add the sauce myself, but that's why it's less expensive. The 1/2 chicken was moist and tasty. The brisket beans were great but a little watery. The coleslaw (creamy) was perfect for me. We were all too full to eat the cobbler so I'll have to comment on it later!
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
We went through the drive thru and got the brisket, ribs, sausage, Mac n cheese, beans, and cream corn. Everything was alright, nothing special. Of everything that we got we liked the Mac n cheese the best. My main issue with the experience is that everything comes individual wrapped in plastic. As someone who is very conscious about how much waste I produce/use, I was extremely disappointed in that aspect. I do believe you can sit inside and eat however, so that's probably a better option to avoid as much waste.
google avatar

Yelp
What can I say besides I LOVE THIS PLACE! It has to be some of the best BBQ in Texas and I think we all know that's saying a lot. I have never had less than a top tier experience and meal from this place. It's obvious they work hard to bring the quality and consistency. Not only does the food taste amazing and fresh but it's FAST. The quality never suffers for convenience. I always get at least a 2 meat plate here which is what I got today. Stayed true to my order and got ribs and sausage along with mac and cheese, cole slaw and beans. I'm sure I've raved about the beans in a previous review but in case I didn't....GET THE BEANS!!!!! I don't like brisket but these brisket beans are something else. It's basically a meal in itself. It's like the best chili you'll ever try. I'm so grateful this is here because it's a quick, satisfying dinner you can pick up on your way home when you're not feeling getting in the kitchen but you want something that's down home comforting. I can't rave enough about this spot. Still blows my mind that it's a part of a big grocery chain. But what else would you expect from the best store on the planet?! No store truly doesn't do more.
google avatar

Howard F.

Yelp
I'm giving it five stars. Yup. I did. Yes it's inside a HEB. No it doesn't have lines. Nobody has if on their list of must eat Austin restaurants. And yet.....it's phenomenal food at an amazing price. Our usual is Terry Blacks, which I rank with MCW, La BBQ and Franklin's as Austin's must eat BBQ. True Texas is, by TX BBQ snob standards, a notch below those. But its awesomeness with no lines, great menu including TDF twice smoked Burnt Ends. Perfect for takeout.
google avatar

Keli M.

Yelp
I have been here a few times. The bbq is actually pretty legit. I love the drive through, especially in these times. However, they are slow as hell. I usually only have 1 car in front of me, but it is like there are 10. Otherwise, the food is worth it and reasonably priced. I love the smoked turkey..and I typically do not even like turkey! Some of the menu items: 2 or 3 meat plates where you can choose from turkey, brisket, sausage, or pulled pork. Baked potatoes that you can top with your choice of meat, mac and cheese, cole slaw, peach cobbler, and banana pudding -soooo good. The prices are also pretty reasonable.

Denise B.

Yelp
Poor customer service, rude staff, left out BBQ sauce and the brisket was not sliced correctly big chunks. I will not be returning to this location. I'm a huge fan of H‑E‑B but this makes me want to go else where Check your drive thru staff and maybe they need to put a customer oriented person at the window. This was my 4th time here and today just ruined it for me.
google avatar

Heberto G.

Yelp
Hidden gem! So let me get this straight, most of us think that a great BBQ joint is one that has long lines of folks standing around just waiting to order, right? Wrong! I know that True Texas BBQ is inside an HEB grocery store and that goes against the thinking for most of us that a fantastic BBQ place has to be a divey shack filled with smoke, so just get over it. I happen to like the smell and taste of smoke in my BBQ meats, not on my clothes. Order the smokey BBQ brisket, I prefer the fatty cut and you'll taste a perfect blend of smoke, BBQ and moisture with each bite. The brisket pinto beans side dish can be a meal in itself. I like to add the sliced smoked turkey breast to my two-meat plate and I'm satisfied all day long. The portions are generous and the value is great. From now on, I'm going straight to the counter to order my Texas BBQ.
google avatar

Kavita N.

Yelp
Went there one time and ever sense then someone there keeps trying to. Change my friends cash app 3 times a day almost every day food was only 20$ when I ate here so I would love to know who keeps trying to steal from us just happened 7 mins ago again

Yelp
My husband and I live South and were excited with the novelty of "drive thru bbq" when this HEB location was being built. We typically don't eat meat during the week but decided to give True Texas BBQ a shot on my birthday, and I got us some two-meat plates. I drove up to the drive thru on a weekday at 1:00 pm and it was almost empty with a few cars in line. The ordering process was efficient and fast. I agree with another reviewer that this is above Bill Miller and other TX based chains but not quite the quality that you get at Franklin's, Terry Black's, etc. which is understandable and expected - this is a drive thru after all and the prices are significantly lower. Overall would come back again. The only change I would make is to request burnt ends or to explicitly state no fat. The brisket was a little fatty. The pulled pork was def different than what I've had at other local spots as it was spiced and came with a sauce already on it, but tasty nonetheless.

Yelp
I'm giving True Texas BBQ two stars for their $2.00 draft beer happy hour on Tuesdays (which is unheard of in Austin) and because when we sat out on the patio facing away from the parking lot you almost forget that you're inside of a grocery store... these are pretty much the only good things about this restaurant. The bad parts are the food! I ordered the 1 meat plate with natural brisket, macaroni & cheese, and coleslaw ($11.79) and I kid you not that nothing on my plate was warm. You'd think at a minimum that the brisket would be warm but the entire tray of food was cold like it had been sitting out for a few hours. The brisket was very dry for it being a fatty slice (you have the option of choosing the cut e.g., fatty or lean) and the coleslaw was just okay. The rising star was the mac & cheese that was quite cheesy, but because it was cold... you feel me lol. The rest of the table got the chopped natural brisket sandwich and two other 1 meat plates. Two of four meals were served completely cold (old?). They were also out of the potato salad and brisket beans. Honestly the only reason we came was for the $2.00 draft beers, so I'm happy about that, but I wouldn't give the food a second thought. The convenience of having a restaurant inside of my favorite HEB is nice but for the quality of food, I think it's overpriced. The indoor atmosphere is decent but because it's COVID times, I try to only sit outdoors or on a patio when dining out.

Kelly C.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. My brisket crumbled into dust. The mac n cheese tasted like it had a can of cheeze wizz in it. The bread was stale. And they didn't provide any BBQ sauce for the to-go order.

Vicky S.

Yelp
My Mom and I stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed our meal! I ordered the brisket sandwich and my Mom ordered the pulled pork sandwich. We split the small cole slaw and creamed corn sides (we weren't even able to finish the small sides, so took the rest home). The meat was super flavorful, and I enjoyed trying the different BBQ sauces (sweet, tangy, and spicy are the options). Our total bill, including a lemonade, was very reasonable: $20. The staff was super friendly and helpful. While this may not be Franklin or Terry Black's, it was without a doubt a 5-star fast casual experience/food. Just add this to the many reasons why H-E-B continues to be rated the #1 grocery store in the US.

Yelp
To go BBQ from HEB. I must say I was kind of weary. Well I was impressed, the Q isn't going to win any BBQ contests but it's definitely worth the money. I got the 3 meat combo with ribs, sliced brisket and a whole chicken breast with the wing still attached. It also comes with two sides , I opted for the brisket beans and potato salad, a lot of food for the price. Like I said, not the best but good BBQ at a good price plus it's a drive thru. I'll definitely be back for another 3 meat combo!!

Kail R.

Yelp
If you serve BBQ in Texas, ya'll ought to at least be prepared to try. For $19 I was served a pathetic portion of dry chewy brisket, extremely overcooked sausage, lemonade with no ice and they forgot my BBQ sauce. I think there were more pickles on the plate than meat. Seriously, HEB? I really expected better.
google avatar

Paul G.

Yelp
I came in here and got the beef brisket sandwich and some potato salad. The barbecue sauce was fantastic the portions are absolutely perfect and size not too much not too little. The food had a little bit of heat to it which was beautiful just enough to want you to have a little more. The staff is very friendly they have a happy hour special in the afternoon if you want a sample beers and the price was just right. They have a drive-through so you don't even have to get out of your car. Easy freeway access and the food comes out fairly quickly. In my opinion there's no reason to not stop by.

Yelp
Definitely the best chain BBQ restaurant in Texas. Granted, when the comparisons are with Bill Miller and Dickey's, that's damning with faint praise. The food itself is pretty legit. I tried the brisket and ribs. The fatty brisket is above average, although it might've benefitted from some more smoke. The St. Louis ribs are on point with a glaze that's both sweet and spicy. My dining companion enjoyed both her turkey and sausage as well as her creamed corn. We both tried the spicy sauce, which wasn't spicy, but had a good flavor for a BBQ sauce that's significantly thicker than most Central Texas BBQ joints. As for dessert, we tried the peach cobbler. If you like a cake style cobbler, it's pretty good. It would be even better if they had ice cream as an option. Surprisingly, for a H-E-B operation, True Texas BBQ fell down on the little touches that can make good great. First, the cornbread. I'm a huge cornbread fan and love the sweet contrast with BBQ, especially ribs. I only wish I'd known that the cornbread was jalapeno cornbread. Also, it's pretty apparent that the plastic containers for the meat are pre-prepared. The lady taking orders asked if we wanted pickles, bread, or onions. I said bread only. My dining companion said pickles only. We both got pickles and onions -- and in almost the exact same amount, leading me to think the plastic trays were premade. (Also, on that note, the plastic trays for the BBQ are barely big enough to hold the meat, much less cut it.) All in all, it's a great chain option -- and some of the similarities with any chain show up in the failure to execute on the little things.

Yelp
This place is great for grocery store BBQ. Tasty and convenient. Better than the Bill Miller's across the road. Everyone complaining in their review is mentioning very silly things.

Yelp
A friend posted a picture of a brisket he was smoking for Labor Day, and since my invitation got lost in the mail, I decided I'd need to secure my own tasty meat. Since I live less than a mile from this joint and they have a drive-thru, I thought I'd give 'er a go. For a holiday, I wasn't sure what to expect as far as a line. I arrived at 11:40 AM and from the time I got there, to the time I drove off, it took 19 minutes total. Not terrible, especially for all you Whataburger freaks who wait an hour for a burger, but I digress. I opted for the moist brisket, and a side of macaroni, cole slaw, and creamed corn. The bark on the brisket was a little tough. The flavor was good, but not the best I've ever had. The macaroni was good. The cole slaw was a little bland, but I love how thinly it's shredded. The creamed corn was very smoky/black peppery. I wasn't offered or given any bread, pickles or onions. I was given a choice of BBQ sauce: sweet, spicy or tangy. I got tangy and it was not good lol. But, good meat shouldn't need sauce in my humblest of opinions. Whether or not you'll like this place probably depends on where you usually go. If Bill Miller is your goto, this is probably a step up. If you usually endure a muggy August day in line at a smoky trailer for an hour for the perfect piece of meat, this will probably leave you missing your regular spot. Overall, pretty decent for a grocery store's drive-they BBQ, but won't be my first pick.

Yelp
Generally, I have been pleased withTrue Texas BBQ, but then they started slacking. THis time I ordered a one meat plate, $11,95. 4 pieces of supposedly lean brisket, which had a lot of fat on it. If this is the lean one, the fatty one must be a slab of beef lard. The corn bread side was overcooked. It's a shame. They started out so good. But this Covid scare, and employees just won't do these kinds of jobs. Woulda. shoulda, coulda.

Yelp
Other then the wait and the fact that they were out of sausage links and corn, it was pretty good. The line is a bit much to wait in, but I would definitely be back again if I see the line is not long. It moves too slow to sit in again.

Yelp
Honestly so surprised at how good our food was! Was not expecting bbq from H‑E‑B to be this good! But I guess H‑E‑B just never misses huh?! Best part was the banana pudding and cobbler yummmm.

Yelp
I got the 1 meat platter and so far the only thing good is the pickles and bbq sauce. The brisket is nothing to write home about, the Mac n cheeses is terrible and has a bitter after taste and the brisket beans are ok. I doubt I'll eat here again. I only ate a quarter of my plate and that's bc I was starving. Plus, just about every table that I tried to sit at was dirty. No one's wiped these tables today. Customer service was pleasant when taking my order.

Yelp
3 stars and here's why : 1) the very VERY slow drive thru time..... I don't quite understand why it moves so damn slow. The first time I spent maybe 20 min or a little more and this is not an exaggeration, in line. The 2nd time was a bit more Normal at 10 min. 2) both times I've ordered the peach cobbler and TBH it is very good! Get some ice cream and enjoy the two together! You won't regret it. 3) loaded baked potato with chopped brisket. Overall it was really good and I would order it again, except ask them to be a little bit more generous with the toppings

Yelp
I got a large delivery ordered today. I feel bad saying that the brisket was very salty. Baked potato with the brisket would have been good if it wasn't so salty. Cornbread was over cooked. I really wanted to like everything. I wasted a lot of money.

Yelp
Had a pretty long wait which is okay with me if the food is good. All I have to say is I feel like a sucker. This tastes like cafeteria style BBQ. If you are big into BBQ do not waste your time here. Brisket is difficult to chew and not tender, sausage is tough, etc. Go to an actual BBQ spot like Terry Blacks, Valentina's or Micklewaiths. This is fast food quality so spend your money on some good BBQ not this place.
