Trulee has been such a wonderful and vibrant community for our family. The team is very friendly, the spaces are clean and thoughtfully designed, and we enjoy the food. Trulee catered a private event for our extended family in their Skyline lounge, it was delicious! The activities are stellar. Doing fun things with my family instead of worrying about them makes all the difference. We enjoy our time at Trulee, and are grateful for the service it provides.

My family’s experience with the staff and community at Trulee Evanston has been outstanding. My aging parent is well taken care of and very happy at Trulee. The units are clean and there’s plenty of activities throughout everyday to stay engaged. We’re super happy with Trulee Evanston.

Have a family member at Trulee in assisted living pretty much since it opened. It’s a very nice facility with good food and nice activities. Front desk staff, specifically Debbie and Bill, are terrific. Very friendly and accommodating. Nice outdoor areas as well. Would recommend it.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Trulee in Evanston and their staff. In particular we would like to express our thanks to Erica Hori who is the director of memory care. She is a gift to any family and it is clear she treats each resident with patience, kindness, and respect.  Her dedication gives us such peace of mind.  We are deeply grateful for the care she provides our family member. We recommend Trulee to anyone looking for a special place for their loved one.

Truly truly is a great place. If you wanna be like the Scout Boy Scouts were you prepared for the worst hope for the best. This is the place to be because it’s got everything. The staff is tremendous. The food is great. I can’t say enough about it. it’s like it’s like my daughter said she’s an ER nurse she’s in Phoenix. She says dad I was against you. Come here but now that I seen the place I did 180° and in fact if I didn’t have four kids at home I would like to move in here so anyway you guys.

Not only was the blonde woman at front desk unfriendly she was condescending. As a health care provider I am often asked my opinion on senior living communities. They should be nice to the visitors.

My father in law loved it here and so did my family! The facility is clean and very much family oriented. The activities team is amazing and is always coming up with different activities to keep the patients engaged day to day. My absolute favorite activities aide is Krystal she is the sweetest hands down and goes the extra mile. If there was 20 stars to give I would give 10 to Trulee Evanston and 10 to the activities team just because of Krystal. Highly recommended!

We have 10-20 student volunteers come from Northwestern every week to spend time with the residents which we really enjoy. We have worked with Trulee to bring activities/games and brain exercises that are fun and at an appropriate level for different residents. From the first day, we have felt welcomed and encouraged to build relationships with residents. We are grateful that we have this opportunity and have heard positive feedback about this partnership from both our students and the residents we spend time with. The staff is kind and helpful with pairing students and residents together which creates a positive experience for everyone!

Yelp
My decision to move to Trulee was a good one! Excellence prevails at Trulee-Evanston, the newly-established senior living community located on Ridge Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. Vitality abounds in a community designed for both wellness and social engagement. Daily activities include exercise classes and thoughtfully-planned events including guest presentations/performances, current events, documentary discussions, travel talks, board/card games and more. The inviting smells coming from Trulee's kitchen permeate the second-floor dining center. Nutritious meals are served with a culinary flair, enhanced by the company, smiles and laughter of my new friends. As a spirited woman of 78, I continue to celebrate my 21st birthday. I recall over dinner the other evening asking my companions, "What is the secret of longevity?" One response was "attitude," another said, "happiness," the third said "thinking positively." There you have it! I'm surrounded by people who love life and continue to live life well. Genuine caring is demonstrated regularly by both administrative and medical staff. Living life well in an environment of kindness and caring is what Trulee-Evanston is all about. Charlene Blockinger
