"Truluck’s is known all over Texas for its great seafood served in a fine dining environment. Expect white tablecloths, exceptional service, caviar service, Parker house rolls, and all the menu options of a steakhouse but with lobster, shrimp, and the catch of the day as the main focus. Came here for my husbands birthday and we were both blown away. The decor was stunning, our waitress Dhani was so kind, and all the food we ordered was absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Had dinner with family and close friends. What a good experience. Our server, Cree, I believe was great. Good recommendations on wines and adding some surf to our turf. Ordered so many things. Ribeye steaks were delicious. The stone crab claws, oyster and jumbo shrimp were delicious. They also have happy hour until 6pm. Highly recommend this place for fantastic seafood and service. Sticker shock, it’s not cheap.

We had an amazing experience on Saturday night celebrating my wife's birthday at Truluck’s Restaurant in Legacy. Our table was perfect (comfortable booth). The lighting/ambiance is very relaxing. Our server, Jordan, was super friendly and attentive. They gave my wife a birthday card and special dessert along with a shawl (which they provide if you ask). All the food was OUTSTANDING!! The Parmesan bread was out of this world! Crab cakes were full of lump crab with a great sauce (and I'm generally not fond of remoulade). The crab fried rice was excellent. My wife loved the salmon dish. I ordered the trout dish and was totally satisfied! We both brought home leftovers as portions are good sizes. And we took our time… spending almost 3 hours enjoying drinks at the bar and dinner. This was our first visit and we will definitely go back. If you’re local, plan a visit for your next special occasion!

Great ambiance and service. The food here is always top notch, great seafood cooked to perfection, served with tasty side dish. Key lime pie was delicious. And if you come on your birthday, you'll receive a Baked Alaska (ice cream cake covered in toasted meringue) compliments from the chef.

Spent my birthday here- a little surprise dinner with family and friends. The atmosphere was amazing! Very elevated and chic. I've eaten at many restaurants at this same level, and this was one of the best! Service was absolutely excellent! They went above and beyond to make my birthday special. The hostess, the waiter, the manager wished me a happy birthday. I had a card signed by the staff, there was confetti on my table, and a bday message on my dessert! We weren't rushed and they were even great with my children. The scallops were wonderful! Steak was cooked perfectly, lobster nac and cheese was perfect and the bread was loved by everyone. Oh, and the oysters were very clean, tasted fresh and the champagne sauce was delightful. It was expensive, but absolutely worth the experience and the food. We will return.

The dinner experience last night was truly remarkable. Drew, our server, delivered outstanding service. The seafood restaurant successfully promoted their wide range of seafood items. The drinks were potent and expertly crafted. The 8OZ filet mignon steak my friend ordered was excellent, and the salmon with crab I had was delicious. The baked Alaska dessert was one of my favorites, featuring a mix of ice cream and chocolate, and the presentation was impressive, complete with a fire element. It had been almost 8 years since my last visit to Truluck, and I was pleased to find that the quality of the food remains high. If you're in the mood for seafood, don't miss the bread, which was incredibly good and hard to resist. This was my friend's first time trying salmon, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely return and highly recommend Drew as a server.

This may be the perfect restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The service was top notch. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. I loved everything that we ordered. We started off with freshly shucked oysters. They were plump and supple with a briny, but not salty finish. Next we enjoyed the crab cake and the Parker house rolls. The crab cake was nicely seared and served with a fresh tartar sauce. The Parker house rolls were soooo soft and topped with some shredded Parmesan cheese. The rolls were our favorite. We shared the ribeye and lobster thermidor, both great. The ribeye was cooked perfectly rare and was drowning in butter. The au gratin potatoes were incredible, with great baked potato vibes. The crab mac & cheese was loaded with crab and had a silky cheese sauce. Even though we were stuffed by dessert we had to try the peach bread pudding, it was delicious! I highly recommend Truluck's and we will definitely be regular customers!

Truluck’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a full-on experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a level of elegance, hospitality, and attention to detail that sets the tone for a perfect evening. Whether you’re dressed up for a celebration or just in the mood for world-class seafood, this place delivers. Let’s talk about the food—unreal. The crab here is genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had: sweet, fresh, and expertly prepared. The lobster bisque? Rich and flavorful without being overpowering. And the fresh catch of the day was cooked to perfection, buttery and flaky with just the right seasoning. Our server was phenomenal—knowledgeable, warm, and never intrusive. They made incredible recommendations and ensured the night flowed seamlessly. Drinks from the bar were top-notch, and dessert? Don’t skip the chocolate bag. Trust me. Truluck’s is the kind of place that gets everything right: ambiance, service, food, and consistency. Worth every penny and then some. Already planning my next visit.

Yelp
Truluck's never disappoints! I've been going to the uptown location for years and was ecstatic when I discovered the new location in Plano. Our party of 9 was promptly seated for our 7:00 pm reservation on Thursday, October 28th. The gentlemen assisting us was on top of his game. I was pleasantly surprised when I explained my preference for a lemon drop martini on the stronger side, with minimal simple syrup. He efficiently communicated my request to the bar resulting in perfection crafted drinks. For dinner I had the sea-bass over the shrimp fried rice, complemented by a side of mushrooms. Everything was absolutely delicious. For dessert I ordered the carrot cake "to go" although I couldn't indulge in it until the following day because I was too full from dinner. Surprisingly, the cake was made with real cream cheese icing which is very rare these days. Everyone in my party raved about their meals. I've already made plans to return next week with my sister for happy hour. If you're seeking an outstanding dining experience, with great food and drinks, I highly recommend making Truluck's your first choice.

Yelp
I was there Wednesday night with my girl friend. We had a drink at the bar and enjoyed it very much. When we got seated I told our waiter we wanted seafood and to just take care of us. We had one bottle of Wine (overpriced at $140) and he brought us two small Crab claws apiece ( no bread) for an appetizer. For our entree he brought us one Lobster tail that we saw him cut it in half and gave each of us a half. We also had two more small crab claws and ordered a side of mushrooms. We shared a piece of Carrot Cake for dessert. It wasn't a lot of food but to say I was shocked when our waiter gave me a bill for $619 is an understatement. I called yesterday 10/24 to speak to the manager but was given a recording whereby I left my name and number and never received a call back. I feel like we were taken advantage of and am Very disappointed... and angry!

Yelp
Just had a delicious dinner with my family to celebrate a birthday. My party of 5 had a 5PM reservation and the restaurant was pretty empty. We were seated right away, given menus, and served water quickly. I love the beautiful modern decor, options to add lemon, lime, cucumber to your water, and the attentiveness of the staff. Their soft lit menus are a nice touch, the variety of items including GF food was great, food was perfectly executed, and service was nothing short of amazing. Alan was very friendly, helpful, and checked on us several times. Alan's attention to detail and reminders to us about what was gluten free was very helpful and appreciated. Items ordered: Crab cakes x2: Delicious with generous amount of crab. Texture was great and the tartar sauce was good Caesar salad x2: A delicious salad that had the perfect balance of ingredients and dressed to perfection. Sonoma green salad: Another delicious salad. Miso glazed sea bass x3 (petite): This was excellent! While there was a little heat from the crab fried rice, the vegetables and presentation was very appealing. Blue crab stuffed lobster tails: You get 1.5 lobster tails, plenty of crab, delicious mashed potatoes, and a good serving of asparagus. The lobster-sherry on the side definitely made the dish complete! Side of pan-seared broccoli: Perfectly cooked (I am a texture person and loved the crunchiness) and seasoned Side of truffle fries: Generous amount of flavorful fries that were not overly greasy Side of parmesan mashed potatoes: Another solid flavorful dish that was not overwhelmingly cheesy for my taste Vanilla crème brûlée x2: You can taste the vanilla and the texture and flavors were perfect! Baked Alaska (complimentary for the birthday girl): A visually appealing and wonderful dessert that delights the senses! Thank you! Sangria: Delightful mix of flavors and ingredients Voila: Beautiful presentation and not too sweet. Thanks for a great dinner! We can't wait to be back!

Yelp
This is a beautiful spacious and sophisticated restaurant with lots of good lighting and comfortable seats. The bar has a nice vibe with very friendly staff. I started with a blackberry margarita at HH prices-delicious and who doesn't love HH prices? I tried the raw oysters- perfect size for eating raw, fresh and briny. I also loved the blue crab guacamole served with plantain chips. Nice sized pieces of crab and the combo of crab with guac is delicious! I very much enjoyed the lobster bisque. It had a lot of lobster and was creamy, flavorful and had a nice splash of sherry. Husband loved his sushi roll-surprisingly since he typically doesn't like sushi unless he's at a dedicated sushi restaurant.

Yelp
Exceptional food and service! My husband and I took my parents for my mom's 70th birthday and the restaurant was super accommodating and made us feel special. We also had a 5 month old baby and needed extra space but the restaurant picked a perfect, private table for us that fits the stroller and made it relatively quiet. The server gave great recommendations for food and portions. We got the stone crab platter with oysters, lobster tail, and cocktail shrimp which were all fresh and delicious. We also did their $69 3-course menu. I got to try everyone's dish and my favorite was the salmon dish. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was so moist! My husband also liked his scallop & shrimp dish. I knew Truluck's in general would be good but the Plano location went above and beyond my expectations! Would go back again for sure!

Yelp
Our first time visiting this location, we read a confirmation response that was a bit tasteless. For the restaurant to say no "crying children" is a bit inconsiderate and a disparaging way to comment on family dining. They can simply say adult-only if that's their rule. Also commenting on people with "odors" seems excessive and curt.

Yelp
We celebrated my friend's early bday here and loved every bite! From the lobsters to baked oysters and baked Alaska and creative drinks, the menu was delicious. They put so much attention and detail to every dish. Our server was also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu.

Yelp
Our party was 5 people for a birthday celebration. Two of us had steak frites with truffle fries. One of us has the salmon with Parmesan mashed potatoes and the other two of us had sea bass with crab rice. All of us found all of our meals out of this world. This was my first time having sea bass. I will definitely order this again. The ambiance and decor were impeccable. This is the perfect place for a date night or a group dinner. For dessert we had carrot cake, key lime pie and baked Alaska. I can't speak for the key lime, but the other two were out of this world! I would highly recommend going to Truluck's for any special occasion.

Yelp
I wear a cap for religious purposes, informed the hostess who called over a manager who told me it's a corporate policy no hats allowed. Was embarrassing and disgraceful.

Yelp
We aren't sure what happened this time. I guess everyone can have a bad day. The usually delicious calamari was dry, lukewarm and chewy. It took 35 minutes to settle our bill at the end. The biggest issue besides that was their mystery wine tasting. We ordered one glass and asked our server to take a second guess to the sommelier to tell us who was closer in the guess. This was a friendly spousal competition. We were appreciative of him doing that and mentioned that we would give him a larger tip. When the bill came, first it was completely wrong. The we waited for the second bill and they had an additional drink and also an additional glass of the mystery wine. When my husband pointed it out, the third bill was fixed except for the additional mystery wine glass. He posed the question if why would we get charged for something we didn't receive. Something was supposed to be fun turned into a pain in our butt. We won't be partaking in anything like that again.

Yelp
Was craving seafood and decided to try truluck and it did not disappoint! Restaurant is located in legacy west so it's always a nice vibe coming out here but the ambiance of the restaurant was airy, dim, but well lit. Their menu actually lights up behind the paper menu so we thought that was cool. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Everything we ate was divine!! -salt and pepper calamari -fresh oysters -lobster bisque -somona salad -king crab -surf and turf (filet and lobster) - creamed spinach My husband is not a fan of raw oysters and he said it was the best oysters he had! The sauce for the fried calamari is soo good! King crab was so fresh and easy to eat as they have it cracked for you. My husband also shared the old fashion was nice and smooth. I got the spicy blackberry margarita. I thought it was good but it wasn't spicy.

Yelp
Very good service and ambiance . We came for happy hour and a birthday dinner.. Honestly was a little disappointed. I probably wouldn't return. I got a fish plate which was good. My 1st Hugo spritz I had to send back, it looked more like a aperol spritz. The next ones they sent was alot better but still not sure it was a Hugo Spritz. The seafood was fresh and my appz and meal were tasty but it's not somewhere I would return as the prices even for happy hour were overpriced

Yelp
I had a very good meal here, not quite five star amazing but probably 4.5 stars. I started with a glass of the Barnett cab and it was excellent, exactly what I was seeking. Then I had the tomato salad and it was very good, maybe needed a touch of salt. For the entree, I had the petite red fish with the creole sauce on rice pilaf and I thought that was very good. I was warned it was a bit spicy and it was just a bit spicy like a normal creole, but certainly not too spicy. I sat at the bar and it was a great place to sit, the restaurant is beautiful. The service at the bar was attentive and friendly. So overall, a very good meal and I would certainly go back but I might try other things next time to see if I could find the five star dishes because they are probably there. One other cool thing is that the menus light up on the inside when you open them which makes them so easy to read. That was very cool and the first time I've seen that.

Yelp
Wonderful celebration spot. I came with my fam monday night for my bday celebration. We were greeted with confetti and a birthday card at our table - nice touch! I was happy to see there was a kids menu. Kiddos RAVED about the tenders and fries. Grown ups shared: Parker house rolls -Very fluffy and slightly sweet Stone Crabs (2 large size) - Good but not sure it's worth the price Calamari - excellent Miso Cod-Very Good Salmon - Very good I also got the signature dirty martini. At first it was a bit sweeter than I expected but they were more than willing to fix it for me. We were surprised with a tableside baked Alaska at the end of dinner. Service was excellent and the decor is beautiful. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
My husband and I dropped in on Sunday evening. So we decided to sit in the Bar! Chris the bartender was very friendly and helpful. We decided on our favorite cocktails mine a martini and my husband Michelob light beer, then ordered the Stone crab platter! It was amazing, so tasty and fresh 2 sides included so we opted for truffle fries and broccolini. Everything was so delicious. We especially enjoyed the ambiance of the bar it's gorgeous! Everyone is friendly , and we will be back!!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. Great happy hour options and prices. We had wonderful service. Lots of exciting options to choose from. Loved the decor and elegance of the bar area. Food was good, we tried a few different appetizers. The sushi was beautifully presented but a little mushy and fishy- Others items were delicious.

Yelp
Had a great experience. Started the evening in the bar which offered a special bar menu and happy hour. We moved to the restaurant and had pristine service by Eric who is also a sommelier. I've had the stone crab claws before so this time I tried the ponchartrain at Eric's recommendation and it was perfect. Only thing I'd caution is don't sit at the open table area by the restroom/kitchen entrance. I had my back to the aisle and had people and waiters carrying food and empty plates over my head all night brushing my chair.

Yelp
Truluck's opened a location in the Plano area? Heck yeah, we must go! We've been to other Truluck's locations and always had a great experience. We know this location is new and still working out the kinks, but we just had to try it. The decor inside is beautiful. Will say the hostess was not the most enthusiastic upon our arrival, but perhaps it was a busy night for her. We were sat at our table shortly after our arrival, and it gave us a beautiful view of the room. My SO was especially impressed that the menus were backlit - so he did not have to use the light on his iPhone to view the menu. So many places like this have the lights so dim that it makes it hard for some to read the menu. Nice touch. We wanted to keep things easy and light - to focus on the entrees. We ordered Parker House Style rolls to share. My SO ordered the Little Gem Caesar, and I ordered the Tomato Salad. The rolls are divine. I could sit and eat those every single day for the rest of my life and be happy. Freshly grated Parmesan on top is the perfect finish. My SO liked his Caesar salad but did mention that it tasted a little anchovy heavy. My tomato salad - "naughty" was used as a description in the menu but I could've used a warning. My visualization of this salad would be slices of tomato with a drizzle of buttermilk ranch, and sprinkled with red onion slices and crumbled bacon. This was essentially a large tomato cut into a bowl and was literally filled to the brim with (no joke) almost 2 cups of ranch dressing. I sliced into a tomato wedge and an avalanche of ranch came pouring out. This is not "naughty". This is gross. I spent my time trying to scrape as much off of the tomato as possible. I would've said something but I just wanted to move past this and to the main course. Ate what I could and left the sea of ranch behind. My SO ordered the petit filet flight, which he absolutely loved. Cooked perfectly and flavors he enjoyed trying on a steak for the first time. I took advantage of the special and got the Australian lobster tail, prepped table-side and served with Parmesan mashed potatoes. Even though the lobster tail was delicious, I will say it could've used ~30 sec less cook time. It wasn't rubbery by any means but it was definitely slightly over. However, I've had lobster at similar restaurants where it was served raw in the middle. So I'll take slightly over vs raw any day. Mashed potatoes were delicious and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sides we also received were crab fried rice and charred broccoli. The broccoli was barely cooked and had hardly any char on it - but still nicely seasoned. The crab fried rice was the biggest disappointment for me. My SO thought it was seasoned well, but I could barely taste anything. Also, the rice was extremely mushy. The texture of the entire side was just not to what I would expect and the crab was barely noticeable. For dessert, my SO wanted the Key Lime Pie, a must for any seafood restaurant. We each took a bite or so of the slice and decided it wasn't worth it. There was hardly any key lime flavor. The almonds were the only flavor detected and their texture took over the whole thing. Overall, the main meal components of the meal were quite good. Other kinks need to be addressed. Definitely will give it a go again in the future to see if these kinks have been fixed. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful - to which we are grateful.

Yelp
Had a great Birthday experience at Truluck's. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but they were very accommodating and seated us quickly. The ambiance was amazing. They had a Birthday card waiting and gave us a free dessert for our celebration. The server was very friendly. The food was amazing. We started with the rolls, which were outstanding. I don't usually eat bread, but I had a little taste, and was very tempted to eat a whole roll. The raw oysters were fresh and shucked perfectly. We tried the Caesar and wedge salads. They were so delicious and a perfect start to our meal. The drinks were really good, too. Had some dirty and espresso martinis and one of the nonalcoholic cocktails. I had the lobster tail, which was the best I've ever had. It was a large portion and cooked perfectly. It was so tender, I didn't even need a knife. We also ordered some fillets and New York strip steaks. They were seasoned very well and cooked a perfect medium rare. The broccoli was flavorful but a bit spicy for my taste with a few red pepper flakes. We also ordered the mashed potatoes. They were fluffy but would probably skip them the next time. They lacked a bit of flavor and needed a more salt. The baked Alaska was soooo good and a must try. My only small negative was, the service was a tiny bit slow. Overall, it was an amazing experience!! Will definitely eat there again!

Yelp
Great food, beautiful dining area, it's better to get here early when there is a happy hour overlap with the full dining menu and there are still day shoppers out and about. Our server was great and the food was worth waiting for.

Yelp
We recently celebrated our anniversary at Truluck's in Plano and was very impressed with the ambiance, food and service! Even though we had early reservations on a Friday evening, the restaurant and bar area were packed when we arrived on schedule. We checked in with the hostess and unable to find a place at the bar to start our night off with drinks, we sat in the entry area with others also waiting for tables. Honestly, this felt like the longest wait even though the hostess checked in with us when they were getting our table ready. It probably was a 20 to 30 minute wait. **Frown** When we finally were seated in one of the curved booths in the center of the restaurant, we relaxed into the setting and took in the lovely ambiance of the place. We have been to other locations, downtown Dallas and Fort Lauderdale, but the Plano restaurant is another level of ambiance! Just gorgeous! They also remembered it was our anniversary and had dressed the table with red rose petals and even gave us the cutest card with a personal message written inside. We both were impressed with the thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Our server Colby greeted us and we quickly stated off with drinks and the Parker House rolls. I tried the fun Viola! drink that is delivered to the table bubbling and smoky. So festive and delicious! My husband enjoyed the High Flier. For appetizer, I had to have the stone crabs and they did not disappoint. They were juicy and sweet and the mustard sauce was tangy perfection. My husband started with the iceberg wedge which was cool and crisp and enjoyed very much. We had the crispy battered lobster tails and the blue crab stuffed lobster tails for entrees and we split an order of truffle fries. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious! At the end of the meal, our server Colby treated us to the carrot cake that Truluck's is known for which is beyond decadent as it is drizzled with caramel sauce, topped with Texas spiced pecans and then drizzled with more caramel sauce. I ordered a coffee to go with the cake and did not know they offered French press coffee which was a real surprise and was an excellent ending to a fantastic meal. We are already planning another visit soon! A few tips: prepare to wait a bit when you arrive. Request a booth in the center of the restaurant to take in the ambiance. Ask for Colby as your server. He was wonderful. He had perfect timing stopping by our table and was friendly, knowledgeable, and even went the extra mile searching the kitchen to find almond milk for my coffee. **Smile**

Yelp
My first time dining here was on Thanksgiving day. I tried to get a reservation last Thanksgiving, but they were completely booked so this year I made sure to book in advance! The decor was amazing, I loved the ambiance, it was a nice vibe. We arrived a little late however our waiter was really nice and accommodating! They have a prefixed Thanksgiving dinner for $59 which includes soup or salad, turkey, stuffing cranberry sauce and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. We actually ended up not getting that an ordering from the regular menu. I got the steak frites medium and it was cooked great. Hubby got a seafood dish with rice pilaf, he enjoyed that. I got a cocktail which was decent but not very strong. For dessert we ordered the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake. I definitely want to come back to try their seafood which is what they're famous for!

Yelp
The shrimp campechana is absolutely delicious! The shrimp and avocado are very fresh, the salsa is slightly sweet. The campechana is just like Goode Co. seafood in Houston's Campechana, which is the best. I sat at the bar and ordered this as a snack. Trulucks has the best spicy blackberry margaritas as well. I am very happy Trulucks has the campechana on the dinner menu now. The home cooked chips that came with the dish did not hold up, they were delicate and would easily crumble when trying to load a chip with the campechana. The Trulucks in Southlake use corn tortilla chips which worked better. Happy hour is always fun and the bartenders are great!

Yelp
Definitely a first date or business expense restaurant or one that you would take someone if you wanted to impress her. Gorgeous ambience. The restaurant was decorated for the holiday season. Bustling bar. The light up menu was novel. Great service. Our waiter was very attentive. The food was a little underwhelming, though. The branzino was well fillet but not seasoned enough. The relish wasn't quite to my palate. I did like my Sonoma greens. Overall a solid B for the food and A for the ambience and service. Giving it a 5-stars overall.

Yelp
Truluck's is the shining star of fine dining, folks! We had our reservation set for 6:30 PM on a Thursday, but we decided to show up a little early at 6. Lucky for us, the place wasn't packed, and we were seated faster than you can say "table for two!" Now, let's talk about the service--it was top-notch! Our server was like a food whisperer, offering recommendations that felt more like a friend sharing secrets than a typical menu pitch. We kicked things off with the Lobster Bisque, and I've got to say, while we've always had a soft spot for the version at Perry's Steakhouse, this one might just give it a serious run for its money. Creamy, savory, and buttery enough to make you question why you ever settled for anything less. For my main course, I went with the filet mignon topped with Pontchartrain sauce and lobster thermidor. Let me tell you, this steak was juicier than a gossip column--perfectly tender and cooked just right. The Pontchartrain topping added just the right amount of zing, making my taste buds do a little happy jig. And the lobster? It was so buttery, I half expected it to ask me to dance! As for sides, we ordered crab fried rice, parmesan mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. The potatoes and spinach were exactly what you'd expect, but that crab fried rice? Wow! It had this unexpected coconut flavor that brought a delightful sweetness to the meal--so good that I could've easily ordered a second helping and skipped the rest of my meal. My wife kept insisting we need to come back just for that rice, and I totally get it! The atmosphere at Truluck's was just right for everything from romantic dinners to serious business meetings. You won't have to shout over your neighbor's conversation, that's for sure. Just a heads up--dining here isn't exactly budget-friendly. If you're watching your expenses, you might want to save this gem for a special occasion. Whether you're treating yourself, impressing a date, or sealing a business deal, Truluck's is the kind of place that makes you feel like a VIP. So grab your fancy attire and get ready for a night to remember!

Yelp
Enjoyed happy hour with a girlfriend at the bar top. BJ was our bartender, who provided excellent service. He was able to answer any of our questions and directed us to some incredible items on the menu which we thoroughly enjoyed and can't wait to come back for more. Their Albariño by the glass pairs beautifully with the salmon and crispy rice. As we dined fairly early, 4 pm, the ambiance was very relaxed. The restaurant and bar area is very pretty, clean and elegant. A couple hours passed into our experience, and the restaurant became busier with more patrons; but it didn't affect sound levels too much and we were able to hear each other during our conversation amongst ourselves and the staff. Thank you for a wonderful time. :)

Yelp
Absolutely everything we had was amazing. From the moment you walk in to restaurant you get VIP treatment. By far the best anniversary dinner!

Yelp
Very nice decor when walking in. No white table cloths. They have black table mats that showed crumbs which I thought was very strange and below standard. The food was ok the Sea Bass Entree was very salty. The Lobster bisque was a little soupy and lacking its normal rich flavor. Our waiter was awesome and very attentive. Over all for the money I expected better but willing to give it a second chance. Sorry to compare but Eddie V's still has my 5 stars.

Yelp
Phenomenal atmosphere, great service, delicious food, Truluck's has it all. The seared scallops were perfectly cooked, and had a great glaze on them, accompanied by the Risotto. The Tru Love cocktail was spectacular, and the dessert menu is one of a kind, the Carrot Cake and Baked Alaska are amazing. The Fresh Florida Storm Crab Claws are worth it, the dressing and lemon on-top make it flavorful. (They are also pre-cracked, which is a plus) Ambiance is very relaxing, and quiet even on a packed night. Will definitely come back to try more items.

Yelp
Date night dinner was a success here! Restaurant is nice and clean, decoration is nice, i expected a WOW factor but no! Our server was very friendly and was on top of everything. Food was really good, oysters were clean and flavorful , the wedge salad was excellent, crab cake amazing & lamb chops perfection, not so much the trout it was not bad , but it was my least favorite dish. The dirty martini w/ blue cheese olives was soooo good! I will definitely go back!

Yelp
HH prices are really good for drinks! Their piano players are always so stinkin' good. This is walking distance to the AAC so we often go for an early dinner and pre-game drinks, then head to the Mavs game. Their bread is so good! Filet and stone crab are delicious! Sonoma Greens salad is one of my favs! It's fabulous!

Yelp
Loved!! We dined here for Father's Day at my husband's request. We made reservations for that evening. Upon arriving, we were seated within a few minutes. Decor is nice & classy. Our server came by and introduced himself and took our drink orders. Between the four of us, we had the bread starter, redfish, lobster tails, crab cakes, steak frites, and chocolate cake. Everything was very good... no complaints on anything. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
We went here tonight for our Anniversary! The food were delicious other than the crab fried rice both thought that the rice was just ok, wouldn't get again. The service was wonderful! Place is nicely decorated.

Yelp
Delicious food. Tried the filet, branzino, salmon. Broccoli was tasty. Enjoyed the calamari and tuna apps. I liked the crab fried rice but others felt like it was "ok", not a standout. Tried 4 desserts and all were good (choc cake, key lime pie, bread pudding, and baked Alaska). Choc cake and bread pudding probably table favorites, tho baked Alaska was tasty and fun. Key lime pie filling was excellent but the graham cracker crust was very average and underwhelming. Ambience is high energy but relaxed at the same time. Very crowded on Sat night. Mo took care of us and offered exceptional service. Highly recommend Mo.

Yelp
This is truly fine dining! From the ambiance to the impeccable service to the down right delicious food.....cocktails aren't shabby either. They don't miss a beat here. Food came out hot and everything was timed perfectly. This place is a must!

Yelp
This was our first time at this location - the service and atmosphere were superb. Apps - pork belly bao buns were delish, calamari was chewy and too thick. The Florida stone crab claws, Alaskan king crab, and truffle fries were perfection. The calamari was thick and chewy - sadly, would not order again. The Mediterranean Branzino was slightly overcooked and dry. I've never had baked Alaska before but my whole table loved it. All in all, will go back for the ambiance and amazing crab!

Yelp
I've got a new favorite restaurant! Start to finish, this place was great. The restaurant is very cute inside and has a fun vibe. Corey was our waiter and he was attentive, made the best recommendations and was so personable. The food was delicious. They were also so sweet to provide a hand signed card for our anniversary as we were there celebrating. We loved everything we ordered and I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We had a great experience this afternoon at Truluck's. Dani , our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and she had a great personality.

Yelp
Foods always good here. Service is top notch. Pretty surroundings. I just wish they had a live music/piano vibe like the Dallas one. Compliments to the chef and kitchen, everything was cooked to perfection and beautiful. The filet was exceptional.

Yelp
So disappointed on my dinning experience here on my birthday. I dined at the uptown location last year for my birthday and everything was top notch- so I decided to go this year for my birthday on 8/8. We had reservations at 8 pm. We were just a few minutes late trying to find parking. We got in at 8:06 pm and had to wait for 30 minutes before they sat us down. It took our waiter a while to bring us water. The food was not good- except for the calamari. We waited a while for the calamari appetizer too. My son and I ordered the prime rib as the waiter stated the steaks there are top notch. The steaks had no flavor- we both had medium rare. It was as if they soaked the steaks in water for some time. We had creamed spinach- menu says sides were shareable (meaning enough for more than one person). It was not- it was just enough for one person. We ordered the crab Mac and cheese ($28). This was a side and also "shareable". It was just enough for one person. Seemed like they overbooked and lots of people were waiting too. Seemed like our waiter was overworked- He had a table with 10 or more people, and a couple more tables, and of course, our table. I've been to the Uptown location twice last year for my birthday celebration and had a great experience and decided to go again for this year. I am totally disappointed- service, food, wait time- everything. Michaela from Truluck in Plano (last four digits of # was 2500) called the day after to ask how the visit went and left a voicemail. I called her the next day and I told her not good and explained to her everything. She asked if I would like the manager to call me back. I said sure. I never received a call back. I go into Open Table to put in a review and was asked if I'd like someone to call me back, I clicked on yes. I never received a call back. This just only comes to show they only want your money and have no care for customer service or improvement. Let's see if Truluck's even monitoring these reviews.

Yelp
Great first experience! The hostess greeted us and brought us to the best seat in the house and had rose petals and an happy anniversary card waiting for us, super sweet touch. Drew our server was excellent, had great recommendations and good banter. The meal was lovely and we enjoyed the cocktails as well. A nice place to celebrate with some yummy seafood!

Yelp
We've sat at in the dining area for dinner and had an "ok" time. This review is mainly for the bar area and servers in that section. They are fantastic! Drinks are great and they do have daily happy hour. Appetizers like the ahi tuna tartare and raw oysters are fantastic options with your wine or cocktails. My favorite entree is the South African Lobster steak - so good and buttery! Definitely recommend going for a date night, girls night, or just to get a great drink and food!

Yelp
Went on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. Got quick service. The restaurant is gorgeous, all the details are really beautiful. The Cesar salad was amazing, one of the best. While waiting I was also given some sushi to try and I regret not asking more about it because it was one of the best things I've ever had, simple but so much flavor. Got the lobster brochette and was already so full I couldn't eat much but it was great! Espresso martini was fantastic. Overall had a really nice time treating myself.
