My girlfriend and I are staying in Queens and came across Truth as we were searching for dinner options. We were very pleased with the atmosphere and vibe, but most importantly the customer service AND food was outstanding. Our waitress, Inaara C, wasn’t only kind and attentive, but she knew how to connect with us and make great recommendations. My girlfriend is vegetarian with food allergies and Inaara was very accommodating. We definitely recommend and will return whenever we’re in the are again.

Saturday September 20, 2025 i’ve had my eye on this place for some time now. I have been intrigued by its name and the reviews which were very good. And finally visited for dinner with my best friend. And just as the same goes “If you see something say something “ and I’m saying this place is awesome. The owner ambience food music were very good. I must commend Franklin the owner for being on top of things he was wonderful . The is staff for being so professional. They make sure that you have a good time the food is good and drinks excellent I must recommend and of course return. Mattie

Got there at almost 1 AM and thank God they were still open and had an available table. The food was amazing. Very different menu but very delicious. The oysters were delicious. Everything was delicious. I will add some photos. The drinks were very, very good as well and the customer service was A1. 100% vibes beautiful people beautiful staff great music. We were having a night where we didn’t know where we were going to go thank God this place was open and available for late food! I will definitely be coming here again and now that I trust you, I will recommend you everywhere!!! Thanks so much for the good time.

The food was great for a good price. We got the Steak Frites and the sizzling pepper steak. I loved everything and the staff is very accommodating. Would come again. Be wary that the music is SUPER loud but that’s just the vibe of the restaurant. The aesthetic of the restaurant itself is beautiful with lots of decor. Great for pictures!

I was really excited to try the food after seeing it a video review online, so my expectations were pretty high. We visited on a Tuesday evening when it wasn’t too busy, but from the start, the hostess mentioned we only had an hour and a half as she sat us down …which felt a bit off. We placed our orders quickly, but the appetizers took longer than expected and were just average. Then, we waited forever for our main dishes about 55 minutes in total since we had sat down. During that time, we barely got checked on. Our waiter hung around on the other side of the restaurant. When my salmon finally arrived, it was charred and really disappointing. The staff was kind and offered to replace it, and they did remove it from the bill, which was nice. Overall, the food was pretty mediocre, and the service was lacking. To top it all off, there was a 20% gratuity already included, credit card surcharge which felt unfair given the experience. Unfortunately , it was a letdown, and I hope they improve in the future.

Edamame was a good appetizer start off with. I ended up getting a skewer which was finger licking good. For entre chicken fried rice with salmon medium well and it was bombing. I forgot the name of the drink i had but it was good. I definitely would go back here. FYI they have hooka here (i dont smoke but just heads up)

We just so happened to stumble across this looking for something to eat after a long night and let me tell you from the very beginning from the entrance we were greeted so amazingly. Mind you it was so late, we thought they were closing but they didn’t rush us or anything. The drinks were soooo good and the food was phenomenal! 10/10 recommend. The place is so chill. We had to bring our kids as we were on vacation, and we had just left an escape room (the escape game) and were so hungry. My kids (14 & 17) enjoyed themselves as well. It was so intimate and yet so fun with the music being on point as well. I never usually do reviews but this was a must. I wish I would have gotten their names (security and waiter) they were amazing. I wish I lived closer as I would go regularly.

What a terrific place. Loved the menu and the sharing concept. Our server was tremendous. She paced our meal perfectly. And the vibe of the place is really fun.

Yelp
Amazing!!! My friends brought me here for my birthday and it was a wonderful surprise! The vibes are great, the food amazing and drinks on point! After 7, the place starts to get crowded. Everything is spotless. I suggest making a reservation.

Yelp
Came back here last night. Ordered a different appetizer, the Chicken Karage. This was really good with the spicy sauce they served on the side. Ordered a LI tea & RAF again. 1st LI tea was made with too much soda, 2nd one he asked for cranberry juice. He still didn't like it. Said the guy at the bar from last time made it great. RAF was good, just too much ice for me. We ordered the signature fried rice with shrimp again. It was 10/10! Perfect! Would definitely recommend & will definitely be back!

Yelp
We came here for my sisters bday dinner on 11/21 and honestly when I first looked at the menu I was skeptical!!! HOWEVERRRRR the menu might be small but it's mighty lol the ambience and vibe is nice chill and very cutesy and Instagram friendly.... The only thing I wish they would turn the lighting up more and switch up the music some to cater to who they serve overall. Now back to the food the waiter explained all dishes were shareable so we ordered almost everything and it was all good the star of the show for us was the salmon that flavor was just too good and sweet & sour chicken was just chefs kiss but honestly we loved it alllllllll also get the rice we want to go back!!! The service for me was so so not bad but could've been better we loved it thou and will keep it in rotation.

Yelp
Came here on a whim last minute dinner plans with my friend. From the outside it looked like it was closed due to the dark curtains not allowing to see in, but once you are in you are transported to this beautiful dimly lit dining space. We got there early so only about 2 other tables were there but when sat the hostess told us we had a time limit for the table (1hr and 10min) which we said okay? Odd amount of time considering it was a Wednesday evening and only 2 other tables were there. Hostess then sat us in between the other 2 tables but the waiter accommodated us to a table with more space. We for there before happy hour and took advantage of the drinks and food (tapas style) specials. All cocktails were $10 for HH and were made with reg house liquor not top self which our waiter explained. The HH food menu had a wide arrange of food decently priced from $5-$7 each. Portions were great even if they were tapas style the cucumber salad was shareable. The baos came in one portion which was great because it allowed us to get one of each protein to try. The went off the menu for the "hand rolls" although they regular spicy salmon and tuna rolls, the pork gyoza were okay but the dipping sauce was salty to my liking and opted not to use it. The chicken satays were also okay, the peanut sauce was not what I was picturing or recall tasting in the past but maybe that is how they make their sauce but all an all would skip these next time. After dinner (past the 1hr and 10mins) the place did start to fill up but we were never rushed to leave or asked to move. We opted to get a hookah which came with 1 refill, we did the traditional as my friend is allergic to pineapple which their deluxe hookahs are whole pineapple based, all an all the place is beautiful. Picture worthy for sure, food was okay tasty but would like to try the full dinner menu next time. Cocktails were 10/10 and will gladly come back for more drinks.

Yelp
Came here for a brunch for my friends bday and I had seen it pop up several times on instagram. I honestly expected a lot more so it was very hyped online. Aesthetically, the restaurant is very elegant and looks classy. The play mostly house music in the background at a volume where everyone can talk and not scream at each other over the music. Since our whole party wasn't there when we arrived, we had a glass of mimosa at the bar. The mimosa had the perfect balance of champagne and orange juice. Once our whole party arrived; they took all of our drink and food orders. We all opted for the bottomless brunch and we all ordered the steak. We could only stick to the drink we selected, we could not switch between Bellinis and mimosas unless it was among each other. The Bellinis were very tasty and strong but I was disappointed in the mimosas. Tasted nothing like the mimosas we had at the bar. Every time they filled up our glass, it tasted more like orange juice than champagne. By the time we ended our bottomless, I did not feel a bit buzzed. The other thing that disappointed me was the steak dish. I expected a decent size piece of steak but instead I got a couple of thin pieces of steak chopped up with big chunks of onion, a huge portion of salad, a small scoop of white rice and an egg on top. Although everything tasted pretty good, I thought they could have been more generous with the steak and not added so many onions. They do have hookah but it is $45 which is pretty expensive. Not sure if I would give this location another chance. Maybe just for drinks at the bar and an appetizer.

Yelp
What a delightful experience! Walking into this restaurant and immediately getting memorized with the beauty of the decor and its ambience! The server was very pleasant and ensure we were taken cared off. We did the bottomless brunch and always had a drink in front of us. Food wise, it was delicious! Absolutely would like to return to try their dinner! This restaurant always serves hookah and it was pretty good! I wish I took more photos! But the overall experience was well worth it.

Yelp
Truffle fried rice was good and cocktails. Nice vibe with hookah. No fee for coal refills which was great.

Yelp
Food was amazing but 20 bucks for a drink with barely any alcohol and a bunch of ice is diabolical. Pour heavy guys, will come back once they do that

Yelp
We were a large group and had reservations. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty. Host/waiter tells us that the stove is under repair and won't be available for 15minutes. No problem, it's not that long of a time. The decor was cute and great for those that want the insta photos. We had drinks and waited around. 15 minutes passed, and we are told another 15, we continued to wait and ordered cold appetizers. It was around 90minutes before we received any hot foods. The waiter was nice and comped some of the dishes, but still wasn't worth the price. A $11 cucumber salad was a seedless cucumber cut into too-large pieces with some dressing. TLDR: nice decor, bleh food

Yelp
The service was so good the hostess her name was Val. She was amazing. The drinks is good. The walk is good. The way they put your food to go in a bag. It looked like a party bag. Everything was amazing. I do recommend anybody that live in Astoria come to truth you will enjoy it

Yelp
First and foremost, pretty decent restaurant. They got the ambience and lightning in check but the music is just obnoxiously tooo loud. We got the oysters to start off which was okay 6.5/10 not too pricey. The server was kinda slow but talked very fast and we couldn't really understand what she was saying. The food did take a little long to come even thought it was ceviche and salmon (25 mins). And the server barely checked on us and left us and only came back for the check. Which already included the tip even though we were 2 people and the check was barely 100$. The included tip thing really made me a bit annoyed because we were not a big party let alone an expensive check so it was totally unnecessary and unprofessional. And this is coming from someone who works as a bartender/server btw.

We gotten the spicy salmon, steak frites, bad bun, crispy rice etc. my steak was was so good, tender and juicy . The service was amazing. I didn't get my server name but he was genuinely a sweetheart. This business deserves their flowers, go visit them !

Yelp
Worst experience ever! This place should be called LIES not Truth. The food took 45 mins to arrive and it wasn't even busy. I was there with a friend last Saturday and we were literally the only people in the entire restaurant for brunch at 12 noon. Zero ambiance...the music was so loud I couldn't communicate with my friend sitting directly across from me. Also the food was god awful. Hello a greasy block of rice like thing that was meant to be the bread for a version of eggs benedict. Service from the chef and staff was super slow. Hello WTF were they doing behind the counter with zero customers ?#@! We told the waitress we had an event nearby and needed to be out of there by 12:30. Then had to flag her down when it got to around 12:30 pm. Plus a 20% tip was automatically added without our approval which was totally undeserved. So if you'd like to waste your money at a meal you'd hate, in a place that acts like a club in the middle of nowhere with an unprofessional staff, on terrible food be my guest. McDonald's breakfast menu or ANY diner would have been more delicious and have tastier food with a better ambiance and quicker service. Best to avoid this place at all costs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR $ on this faux Japanese restaurant in the middle of nowhere. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would.

Yelp
Initially I was going to write a a good review on Truth Restaurant; however, after we closed out on our bill, I saw the REAL TRUTH! My sister and I was celebrating her 60th birthday, and spent over $300, so when I got a chance I asked our server, Val, if she can give a celebratory dessert and shout happy birthday to my sister like I saw with another patrons. She said that she would let the bartender know because our seats were reserved for other patrons at that time and had to move. Not only didn't the bartenders send the celebratory dessert to us, but I also asked the hostess if she could let someone know. It was over 30 mins and we had already closed out, yet no dessert. I spoke to the manager about how frustrated I was and he just gave me the, " I don't care stare and said it probably was a miscommunication." "I'm sorry". My point is maybe we didn't have the right "shade" and the other patrons were different than who we are. Unfortunately, I won't EVER return!! Spend your money cautiously!!
