Seattle Restaurant and Bar Closures for December 2025 | Eater Seattle

"An Irish bar recognizable by its distinctive red-and-green building on Mercer Street, this 35-year mainstay has closed, with a note on the door reading, “We have weathered through many changes over the years. It has become increasingly harder for a small business to survive, let alone thrive.” New owners are expected to take over the space and may keep the name." - Harry Cheadle

I've been here plenty of times and the staff here are awesome. They have a pool table, shuffle board and darts. Plenty of tables and booths. Great place to catch some sports on their TVs or a spot to gather before heading out to a Kraken game

Great place to eat and drink. Absolutely loved the Irish potato skins. Even though they were busy the service was great and the food came out reasonably quick.

I ordered the Bangers & Mash, but the sausages served with it were overcooked to the point of having a burnt, bitter taste, and the mash was rather ordinary. The Guinness draft beer also tasted somewhat flat, and even after pointing out the issue, the bartender didn’t seem to understand and appeared to think it was just an excuse to avoid paying. I spent St. Patrick’s Day at another Irish pub instead. I don’t plan to visit again, and unless it’s a matter of convenience due to the location, I would recommend Kells Pub instead.

Great spot of Guinness and more on tap! The staff are really nice, but not OTT, you can watch sports, but it doesn’t have 20 blaring screens either. Basically it very much reminds me of a proper pub back home and I miss that…

Your standard Irish Pub and usually the only bar with space on a big game or concert day. They make their margaritas from scratch and the service is kind and super efficient. Nothing to write home about and nothing innovative but does the job when u need it.

TS McHugh’s = great people, great energy thank you to the kind regular & Josh the bartender! We had a horrible experience at another bar nearby (Rich Rich Bar), and while we were outside trying to make sense of it all, a regular from TS McHugh’s overheard us and offered to help. He was genuinely kind and went out of his way to walk us over and support us and because of him, we were able to get our $20 cover fee refunded. Once we got to TS McHugh’s, we were greeted by Josh, the bartender, who was super friendly, professional, and made us feel right at home. The bar had a totally different energy chill, welcoming, no pretense. Clean place, reasonably priced drinks, & just good people. If you’re ever in Seattle, go to TS McHugh’s. The regulars are kind, the staff is awesome, and the vibe is everything you want in a neighborhood bar. We weren’t even planning to go there but thanks to one thoughtful regular and a great bartender, they completely saved our night.

Cute Irish Pub with good food and good service. About a 10 minute walk from the Space Needle. Menu includes both Irish and American Fare. I got a burger and fries and he got a chicken cobb salad. Server was friendly and cheerful. They also have a pool table.

My friends and I came in here before a concert at Climate Pledge Arena. The staff was really accommodating with our large group (party of 8) and sat us right away. They asked if we were attending the concert to make sure our food/drink came out quickly. They offered a more limited event-only menu but it was still full of great options. Between our group, we ordered most of the menu and everything had positive feedback on their meal selection. I had the burger and it was simple but really good. And the crinkle fries were cooked to perfection. Of course the beer was great too. That was my first time here and it definitely won’t be the last.
