Tsujita is a great spot for ramen, especially if you're into dipping ramen (tsukemen). We're so happy they opened a new location here in Pasadena! The noodles are thick and chewy, served chilled alongside a rich, savory broth without being too salty. The contrast between the cold noodles and hot broth creates a satisfying balance, and it’s easy to see why this is their signature dish. We ordered two of the special deals, each priced at a reasonable $15.50. The deal includes a full portion of tsukemen with chashu and a seasoned egg, with a side of the homemade spicy miso paste for you to make your own spicyness. The portion itself is filling and well worth the price. The chashu was tender, the egg was perfectly cooked and marinated, and everything was served fresh. We also tried their traditional soup ramen, which offered a lighter but still flavorful broth for those who prefer a more classic style. To round out the meal, we ordered one of their rice bowls. It was simple and well-executed, with nicely seasoned sliced pork belly and properly cooked rice topped with delicious sauce and a half marinated egg. The service was friendly and efficient. Our food arrived quickly, and the staff made sure everything was in order without being overbearing. The atmosphere was casual and clean, with a comfortable layout that makes it easy to enjoy a meal whether you're dining solo or with friends. It’s a welcoming place that focuses on the food, which we appreciated. Overall, Tsujita delivers quality ramen with good variety, fair prices, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a solid choice for anyone craving a satisfying bowl of noodles.

It’s crazy that ramen is $20 these days but when it’s good it can be still worth it. Unfortunately it was not worth the price at Tsukita. When I compare the tsukemen ramen at Tsujita vs in Tokyo it’s not even close. At Taujita the dipping broth was watery and lacked flavour. The broth should be thick and full of flavour since it’s meant to stick to the noodles. Also the pork was dry and also lacked flavour. We also got the chicken Karage, which was strange since it was covered in a sweet sauce. So more like Korean fried chicken flavour. It tasted fine but not so authentic.

Google
Staff was pretty friendly and welcoming when I came in with my friends yesterday! The food was super yummy however a little pricy. I would recommend coming here but be ready to pay a little more for small serving portions. Our waiter was very kind and helped my group have a great lunch. I would come back!!

Google
This $34( with tax and tip) dollar regular size ramen is a shame. I first tried it in the Sawtelle location few years ago and remembering is very good. Came here to pasadena location and found out that it was very disappointing. The noodle is good texture but nothing special. The pork has a weird smell and too much fat. The broth was not hot enough to dip in with. The only thing I enjoyed about this is the egg. With inflation today, high price is justified if the quality is also good. Will not return.

I stopped by this Tsujita Artisan noodle for their After Dark event that just recently launch. Tsujita is known for their ramen which I heard great things about but the menu when I came was for small bites. My favorite was the Charsiu Taco, Pork Gyoza and karaage. They also have some delicious beer like the Yusu beer. The customer service was amazing here and there a parking garage across the street.

Google
I was in the mood for Ramen, but I was intrigued by the Killer Noodles, I was cautious and ordered a 1 on the spice level, unknowingly I added the spice paste to it and suddenly I had a flavor party in my mouth, so many flavors playing like a 50 piece string symphony orchestra in perfect harmony. I'll be back for the Ramen.

Google
I loved the spicy ajitama ramen. It is soooo damn spicy (and I thought I could handle all sorts of spicy -- lol wrong). Tasted so good with the preserved mustard and ginger on the soup.

Google
Karage chicken was delicious and the tonkatsu special deluxe was really good! I tried the killer noodle. I prefer no peanuts butter in the sauce but it comes with it. I am not allergic but having it in the noodle decrease the heat of the spicy level. But overall, alright 👌

Yelp
I love this new sujita location in Old Town Pasadena. It has a beautiful decor and ambiance and the service is on point. I actually tried to come during the grand opening and could not get in because it was so crowded. It's still relatively busy but definitely manageable and totally worth the wait for the dipping noodles. The food is amazing and the prices are reasonable. I really haven't found anywhere that does noodles similar to this in the area. If you're closer to the Monterey Parkside, there is also one on valley boulevard

Yelp
I was SO excited when Tsujita opened near me in Pasadena. The food was outstanding, gyoza were amazing, service was quick. The shop is cute and playing shamisen music usually. Somehow a few weeks later, the food suddenly takes 30+ minutes to arrive, the gyoza arrives ripped and no soupy-deliciousness inside. The staff had multiple bowls prepped in advance, and somehow I saw no bowls come out for the longest time. I hesitate to even go back as my last 2 trips have been identical.

Yelp
They make so good ramen noodles! I'm glad they opened closer to home. The noodles were al dente, and the broth was umami! I tried the dry ramen, chasu tsukemen, and they taste like the ones in Tokyo! Parking is available just across the street for $1 for the first 90 minutes.

Yelp
Amazing Ramen! The employees were nice and explained their menu well. The spicy tonkotsu ramen had a nice kick and was tasty. The place is small and fills up quick. If you come during dinner rush hour, then get ready to wait in line.

Yelp
Killer Noodle is back in SGV and I'm here for it! We finally got to check out the new Pasadena location on a Sunday afternoon and as a party of 2, were seated right away (but I will say parties of 3+ had longer wait times). We ordered and got our waters pretty quickly but with all tables full, the food came out pretty slowly. 25 minutes for the appetizer and 50 minutes for the bowl of ramen. Both items were delivered right when they were done though, so they tasted very good and came out hot. Appetizer: Karaage - chicken was super juicy and I like the glaze they toss it in. The homemade tartar chef is so tasty - like a deviled eggs made into a sauce. I like the little chunks of egg in it too. Lemon on top for that citrusy touch was perfection. Killer Noodle ramen with soup - 6 Spicy, 3 Numbness - it was a good spice level for us. The noodles are always consistent with a good bounce. The only thins is the 'soup' was pretty thick and not much of it where it seemed like the soupless version - I wish there was more! The toppings like the peanuts go really well in this dish. I also like adding the table ginger to each bite to cut out the spice a little bit and add some freshness. The truffle ramen may be next on my list to try!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday afternoon to give this new ramen spot a try in the heart of Pasadena. Parking was quite difficult since you can either park at a parking structure or find parking on the street. Thankfully, we were able to find parking on street a few blocks away. Where do I begin? We first checked in for a table, the table that was offered to us was not very accommodating. The seats were practically foldable chairs. So we opted for a booth table & told the server we didn't mind waiting. She told us to wait outside. Upon sitting down at our table, we ordered appetizers to start which came out fairly quick, however the entrees themselves took 15-20 minutes to come out which was a very big time gap. We also noticed that the portion was small for the price that you are paying which is $15-$24 a bowl. The chicken karaage was the star of the show though! I give this rating 7/10. I probably won't come back, will probably go to their other location except this one.

Yelp
Finally made it to Tsujita Artisan Noodle and I'm so glad I did. Tried the killer noodle which completely lived up to its name absolutely fantastic! The Killer Noodle had incredible depth of flavor rich, spicy, and packed with flavor. The gyozas were perfectly crispy and the perfect complement to the Killer noodle. On top of that, the service was amazing. Our server was so kind and took the time to walk us through the menu, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell they really care about what they do. Can't wait to try the Ramen next time.

Yelp
I always wanted to show my partner tsukemen as he loves ramen, and was thrilled to here it opened in Pasadena! We came here on a weekday night for dinner and although there was a line outside, it went by fast and we were seated. The establishment felt cozy and our servers were very nice, and had no problem answering our questions. FOOD: -spicy deluxe tsukemen (we got the regular size and it was more than enough! the chashu was one of the best chashu i've had, and the ramen eggs were phenomenal! we both loved the rich broth and loved this new style of eating ramen through dipping) -kaarage (we never had kaarage in such a delicious sauce, and the tartar sauce was so amazing!) DRINKS: -tsujita milk tea and lemon milk tea (they offered us a free refill on the house, and loved both drinks!!) This place is definitely more on the pricier side for japanese food, but it is all worth it, I promise! We loved every item and if you love ramen and want to try a fun dipping-style of it with flavorful, thick broth, I highly recommend you come here!

Yelp
One of the newer additions to the Pasadena ramen scene and I'm glad they're here. During our recent visit, we ordered the tsukemen, deluxe ramen, gyoza, a kids ramen, and the kakigori. The gyoza was crispy, meaty and savory. What's not to like? I had the deluxe ramen and it had everything plus more. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a lot of depth. The noodles were chewy, the perfect texture for me. The slices of chashu and the egg were *chef's kiss*, amazing. The kakigori was good but the raspberry topping was a bit strong and to the extent you can ask it to be on the side so you can pour it yourself, you should ask to do so. Service was very friendly and the food came out relatively quick. The interior is clean, modern, and welcoming. Parking in Old Pasadena can sometimes be a challenge so plan ahead!

Yelp
My friend and I came here for a little friend date and we were both so pleasantly surprised by how amazing this restaurant is. I normally come to the San Gabriel location but we decided to give this location a try instead. The ambiance of the restaurant is so cute and I loved the tiny little booths they had for parties of 2. We started with the pan fried gyoza and I was taken aback by how great it was. They were huge and extremely juicy. They are by far the best gyoza I've ever had in my life. The Pasadena location is the only one that has these, so be sure to come to this one to try it! The tsukemen of course is phenomenal. I tried their spicy tsukemen as I see that it's a newer addition to the menu. I highly recommend trying this one if you don't mind spice. Tsujita is my favorite all time ramen shop and with their gyoza they've just set the bar even higher. Be sure to give them a try!

Yelp
Service was awesome even though there was only one guy working but he was enthusiastic, quick, and was very attentive to everyone! Came here on a Monday at 4:25pm. This was our last stop before the airport and it was worth it; our waiter made sure we got our food quickly. My partner had the karaage-- it was so good he got 2 bowls. I loved their tonkotsu ramen and ate everything; portion size wasn't massive but it was filling. The room is clean and well lit, with a giant paper lantern in the center and booths of varying sizes as well as stand alone smaller tables. Would come again when I visit next time!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for lunch and got the killer noodles (with their recommended level of spice). I thought it was good but nothing amazing. Solid lunch spot but nothing I'll be craving.
google avatar

Isaac R.

Yelp
The craft ramen definitely is becoming more mainstream. The quality and taste are still above the grade. The tsukeman is still bomb. I really recommend the gyoza.

Yelp
I know there's a few locations and this is the first one that I decided to try. Definitely wasn't a good idea. I got the deluxe Tsukemen and it was terrible. It said generous portion and they did give a lot of chashu.... but it wasn't good at all. Quality over quantity imo. Idk if the chef tasted it before serving it but it was extremely salty. Salty to the point where I know if I ate it all, I'd be drinking a gallon of water every hour. So I ended up not even eating the chashu. The dipping broth was mehhh. Not my cup of tea. The deluxe tonkotsu was okay but the portion was extremely small. If you're someone who can eat, you should order two portions. Anyways, I gave 2 stars bc the waiter was nice and attentive to us. I told her it was salty and she said it's suppose to be like that. If it's suppose to taste like that, I'm hesitant to try the other locations. No ty. Lol

Yelp
OMGosh! This was the best ramen place that I have had. Parking- well it's old town Pasadena so it's always tough. I parked at the DeLacy parking structure which is $1 for 2 hours and it's quite close to the restaurant. Wait time-I was lucky and there was not a wait for 2 people. There is limited seating so the wait time can get long. While I was waiting to order, there became quite a line for a table. Luckily, it's in old town so there is a lot of places to shop while waiting Food-I for the deluxe ramen tonkatsu and yummmm. The noodles were cooked perfect and the Beth way so rich. I drank every last drop. The highlight of the meal wasn't the ramen...it was the karage. Literally the best one I have EVER had. It was crispy on the outside and so juicy inside. I absolutely highly recommend!! Exciting to go back and try the different types of ramen.

Yelp
Favorite ramen place! Personally I prefer their (spicy) chasu ramen to their tsukemen (tsukemen feels a bit salty to me). Their karaage was good too. Staff were very friendly but they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of customers. Hopefully things get settled down with time! The place is spacious (seats aren't cramped and close together) and our wait was relatively brief.
google avatar

Ray L.

Yelp
The food was done very well, the tonkotsu broth was creamy, flavorful, and the noodles were cooked just right. It really is one of the better ramen shop in the Pasadena area. The decor was nice and proper for the food setting. The only annoying part of the visit was that we were made to wait in line when there were clearly tables available. Not sure if it is a strategy that they tried to build up a line outside for people to be curious. We waited about 20 min in line and there were empty tables inside. Because of that I couldn't give this place a 5 star rating.

Yelp
I'm gonna say this first. I don't see the point in this location being open when the San Gabriel location isn't that far from it. It would be better if this was a Tsujita Annex since we don't have that up here in the SGV. So that works against it already. Add on the parking in San Gabriel if free, while here everything in South Padadena is paid parking. The location itself is small, but doable. The bathroom doesn't lock which was disturbing. The service was great though. On the ball and clearly well trained. The food though is MASSIVELY overpriced. Why is it so much more expensive in the SGV than at the Sawtelle location. And the quality isn't as good. The kaarage was good at least but rather pricey too. I got the spicy tsukemen but to get any meat I had to get the chasu one at $25! It was pure spice, not tasty at all. I didn't end up finishing it. My boyfriend got the same and he said it was just ok. We also got the milky shaved ice dessert with brown sugar. That thing is HUGE! It's tasted awesome but we couldn't finish it. So will we return? No. No point. You can get the same overpriced experience in San Gabriel with free parking at least.

Yelp
I visited during the soft opening and was thrilled to see Chef Toshiro himself in the kitchen. The service was very attentive, and I appreciated the unique dishes not available at other locations as well as their classic tsukemen spicy dip ramen. The truffle ramen was tasty too. The raspberry kakigori was so good! The handmade gyoza is made all in house using this really beautiful dragon machine. I wish them the best of luck! There's a public parking lot across the street, which is convenient.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Tsujita, and seeing the recent low reviews made me a bit concerned initially. However, my experience was absolutely amazing! My friend and I decided to check this place out since it was the closest Tsujita to her house. We arrived around 5:00 pm, which was quite early, so we were the only ones there. Prandice was our server, and he was incredibly nice! Being the only customers meant we had their full attention, so they kept our water cups full and even let us move seats :D We both ordered the Spicy Deluxe Tsukemen, and let me tell you... it was DELICIOUS. I was initially concerned because my friend mentioned that we had to dip our noodles into the sauce, which was new to me. BUT wow, the sauce was so creamy and flavorful that one dip coated every noodle on my chopsticks. The noodles were perfect as well--chewy and soft! Our overall experience was truly a 5 out of 5. They were even kind enough to open the door for us as we were leaving. I know there have been several reviews complaining about their service and menu, but it's important to remember that the restaurant is less than a year old. They're still figuring out their flow and pattern, so I wish them all the best. With their amazing food, I hope they continue to thrive in this location!

Yelp
One of the most celebrated ramen spots in SoCal has opened a new location in the heart of Old town Pasadena. I've heard alot about the brand, but this is my first experience with Tsujita. I know that the Tsukemen Ramen is one of the flagship dishes here, but on for my first visit, I was in the mood for some good old fashioned Tonkatsu Ramen. Spicy Deluxe Tonkatsu Ramen was it, and it was delicious. It was large, loaded and rich with flavor. I need to come back and try the signature dish, but on my first outing, Tsujita was excellent. In addition, the service was very friendly and helpful. What's not to like.

Yelp
My fiance and I are big fans of Tsujita so we had to check out this new location in Pasadena! We ordered the Spicy Tsukemen and Spicy Ajitama Tsukemen (which is typically not on the menu at their other locations). We really enjoyed the spicy broth and liked how it offered a different taste than the Original Tsukemen broth. The noodles were perfectly chewy and we felt like they gave a generous portion of it! We were both very satisfied with our meal. They also had gyoza and shaved iced that is special to this location but we were way too full to try it. We will definitely be back to try next time! The waiters were very attentive and nice. They came around to refill our waters several times. The interior of this place feels very spacious compared to their other locations. 10/10 recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Had been craving tsukemen for a while so tried Tsujita when visiting Pasadena. The noodles were nice and chewy but the dipping sauce was too salty for me and not my favorite. Came during lunch hour and it wasn't too busy.

Yelp
Very good service. Love their ramen. Young crowd. Location perfect just across parking lot building

Yelp
Tsujita has been my favorite place for ramen since the first American location opened in West L.A. over a decade ago. I've been to a few more of them now and have found that the quality has remained consistent, even with Tsujita expanding into a small national chain. I went to this new one in Pasadena for a late Monday night dinner with my friend Amelia G. The place was nice, a clean box of a restaurant occupying one corner of a building in Old Town Pasadena. It was pretty quiet at 8:00 on a school night--I've suffered long waits for this tsukemen, but I guess it's not like that here. Service was good, friendly and fast, though I did notice we weren't offered dashi stock to thin out our dipping broth at the end of our meal. I wasn't hungry enough to ask, but I wonder if they don't do that at this location. The food was delicious, the same fantastic dipping noodles I've come to crave over the years. The ramen is thick and springy, served room temperature in a bowl with a square of seaweed and a wedge of lime. The dipping broth comes in another bowl, loaded with green onion, chopped chashu, and menma. It's dense with salt and fat, too much to drink like soup, but it's perfect for dipping. The broth clings to the ramen without taking away from its fresh, chewy texture. I add an ajitama to my tsukemen, a marinated soft-boiled egg, supple with a gooey yellow yolk. I also like to get extra bamboo. There are Tsujita locations closer to my house, but I'm in Pasadena often enough that I'm sure I'll come back to this one. I'm pretty much always in the mood for tsukemen.

Yelp
Out of integrity for the reader, my original review will be pasted at the end. UPDATE: I originally reviewed this place at 1 star (see review at bottom). I now give this place a 3 star, here is why. After my first review the owner reached out and offer me a second experience. Here is how that second experience went. - I arrived at 1:04PM - I was greeted and and sat immediately. - No servers came to our table until 1:17PM (13 mins later), we weren't even given water (the entire experience). - When I asked for the owner, no one knew that I was coming, although the owner scheduled a time and day with me. Finally the owner came over and needed to review our yelp communication to remember. (Strange) Why didn't he prep his staff to expect me when we had a scheduled time? - After placing our order @ 1:20PM: Bowl 1 arrived @ 1:31PM and Bowl 2 arrived @ 1:33PM (We are now 29mins before receiving food, from when we entered - this is not good, especially if you're on a work lunch break) FOOD: During the first experience, the food was cold and we were unsure if Tsukemen is supposed to be cold (it really unset our stomaches). We went to Japan and experienced it there, we realized it's not supposed to be cold. This second time, the broth was not cold, but the ingredients were. We also had the ramen. This was the highlight. It's not the best Ramen in Old Town Pasadena, but if I didn't need to wait 30mins to receive my food, I wouldn't mind coming back. SERVICE: Well, you can see above their lack of urgency, so I don't need to repeat that. Service towards walk-in customers last time was very concerning. This time it was better, but I watched them make customers wait outside when empty tables were available for up to 8 mins (I timed them). Take what you want from that info. Upon exiting I stood, to signal to the owner we were leaving, and I was going to tell him about my experience. He just looked at me (It appeared he was in a more valuable meeting than making sure an unhappy customer, who HE INVITED BACK was happy.) I waved to him to say goodbye, he just looked at me and then back to his more important meeting. (A wave (acknowledgment) back would have done the trick.) STARS: +1 Star: For the owners efforts to invite us back for a 2 free bowls and 2 free drinks. (Although his lack of an exit greeting should void this star) +1 Star: Because the ramen was good, the Tsukemen was still awful and does not compare to their Tokyo location or even their San Gabriel location. +1 Star: Because our server was pleasant. Although it took 13 mins for us to get approached. I'm trying hard to find a reason to give more stars, but there is absolutely nothing. Honestly, this place deserves 2 stars at most, but I hope the additional star motivates them to clean up their game and align with the standards I've experienced at other locations. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I would not recommend. The Tsukemen broth was ice cold and flavorless. Our stomachs hurt after eating here. The service was subpar and look how the Gyoza came out. They actually served it to me like that with a straight face. On the business side I also watched how they treated walk-in customers. They tell them to wait outside (in a very you-don't-matter way, and I watch as the customer leave. I expected more from a chain from Japan. Go to Tatsunoya two blocks away and you'll have a proper from-Japan experience with food that has flavor and won't make you sick.

Yelp
I had a great time here with my friend and it was our first experience with dipping style ramen and it was such a great experience! The broth is thick and very rich and was some of the best broth I have ever tasted. It has a fish base and seemed very authentic. They provide a generous portion of meat and it was extremely tender and almost melts in the mouth. The waiter was very kind and gave us some insight as to how to go about eating the tsukemen ramen. I am planning to return and bring other friends and family because it was so delicious. It does get busy, we came around 5ish and got a table right away. But be prepared to wait if you come during peak times. The restaurant has many tables, most of which are smaller and in booths. The space itself is quite small but they can seat quite a few people at one time.

Yelp
This newest location of Tsujita is a wonderful ramen option in Pasadena. They have tonkatsu and tsukemen ramens and a few rice bowls as well. The broth is milky, porky and very good. It's worth it to order the deluxe versions of bowls because it comes with slices of chashu and not just chopped chashu. Their ramen eggs are perfectly cooked with gooey yolks. I like the tsukemen very much too. They have fat noodles that are so good with a squeeze of lime and then dipped in the savory thick sauce. The non-ramen dishes are very good as well. The gyoza are juicy, the chicken karaage are crispy with a delicious soy sauce, and they even have kakigori!

Michelle ..

Yelp
Ramen was good but for the price is definitely not worth it, have to pay extra for toppings. Service was good and inside was spacious for the location. Would not come again

Yelp
delicious ramen and great ambiance. i stopped in with a fellow yelp friend to try this famed ramen. it's located in the old town pasadena district right by a parking structure, very convenient. the furniture and interior design is fresh and inviting, being that they've just recently opened, that works in their favor here. staff is extremely sweet and patient, they were able to answer all sorts of questions about their menu. for food, we got a dipping ramen and gyoza. it was my first dipping ramen and i was very impressed, the flavor is immaculate. dense, hearty, and complex. the ajitama egg was very tasty, and was exactly as i'd expect. the gyoza were extremely flavorful but also VERRRY HOT! make sure to let them cool before eating! the food, service and ambiance were pristine. i think this is a gem to have, and bolsters the eclectic restaurant scene in old town pasadena. if you want a nice night out with a partner, friends or family with some great ramen, this would be the spot. i plan on returning as soon as possible!

Yelp
Really pains me to write this since we've been Tsujita patrons for over a decade at Sawtelle, although the Pasadena location is now closest to us. After a long, tough day sometimes you just want a bowl of liquid Japanese comfort before bed, and Tsujita always does it fast and fantastic... until tonight. It took about a half hour from ordering to get our bowls, which is ridiculously long by ramen shop standards, especially when it's late, there are plenty of open tables, and you just wanted a quick bite before going home. In that time in between, we watched the table next to us get seated, order, receive their ramen bowls, finish eating, and were paying the bill when ours were finally delivered. Several times the staff seemed to indicate their awareness of the situation, but we didn't even get water until five minutes before the noodles. When I got up to ask again what was going on, they said it was because they "needed to re-start the water boiling for the noodles which takes a long time." Which, uh, okay: A): That doesn't jibe with seeing other tables getting fresh noodles while we're still waiting. B): You're a ramen shop! You mean to tell me that you routinely shut off your most essential cooking device in the middle of service hours knowing that it will take up to 25 minutes to get going again?!? But that's not all. Once the food arrives, I notice on my first slurp something very unusually textured and tasting in the broth, and spit it out. It's not chashu, but a small chunk from a fried chicken karaage appetizer. At this point I have no patience for sending it back, and can only hope it was from a freshly made order and not contamination from cleared leftovers. Anyway we get several rounds of apologies and an offer to comp the bowl with the random chicken bit, which is appreciated but doesn't address the other service failures, nor offer any reasonable explanation or reassurance that we won't encounter similar issues in the future. We'll probably still go to the Sawtelle location since they've been one of our favorite restaurants in LA for as long as we've lived here, but it sucks that we no longer have the closest location to us when we want our quick ramen or tsukemen fix.

Yelp
Decided to try this new location though I am not a fan of tuksumen (dry ramen w soup on the side). It is a nice surprise with their soup ramen: tonkotsu especially how spicy they can make. I love the thin chashu and the thin noodles! They even have kid's ramen at very good price and come with a flavored egg. My 2 kids are so happy that they can get their own and definitely love the portion. My kids also try Takoyaki and they think it was the best they ever had. I am happy to learn about this place and can avoid the line at Tatsunoya which I think it is a bit overrated and overpriced.

Yelp
Guys I'm writing this as I am enjoying my meal literally right now! this place is so damn good, and honestly THE best place to get Tsukemen which is a traditional dipping ramen! If you guys are not too familiar with Tsukemen, the noodles come separate from the broth and the broth is usually a concentrated flavor where you dip the noodles just so good. I also tried the Chashu bowl definitely a 10/10! with perfectly charred thin sliced chashu pieces on top of perfectly cooked Japanese rice, the spicy tuna bowl and Takoyaki were also sooo good and if you're not into dipping noodles they also offer an amazing selection of other ramen, which I also got to try and was also a 10/10 (yes I know I'm a fatass) lol but seriously GO TRY IT! Service also very attentive 10/10 Ambiance also a 10/10

Yelp
Unfortunately, the one I am craving is not available. Food is good, service is okay, nice people, the ambience is good for dating.

Yelp
This ramen spot had been popping up on my feed from Secrets of LA. I was very curious to try the dipping ramen. I like the cold noodles and the gravy like consistency of the broth. The best part was the jammy egg, maybe a tea egg. Very tasty! The menu is pretty straightforward. They have reasonable prices with lovely atmosphere. I would say, less is more when it comes to dining here. I visited on a Tuesday evening and was sat right away. By 7pm the place was pretty full. Definitely a spot to bring close friends and family.

Yelp
Ok, this place was REALLY good! I thought I had a bunch of go to ramen places and now great I have another one! I had the spicy deluxe tonkotsu and karage. The Tonkotsu was creamy and the noodles were so perfectly cooked along with the meat. The seaweed and boiled egg were just as perfect! Karage was crunchy (not so crunchy tho) and flavorful! The staff was so freaking nice too! Waiters were very professional and were on point it was like they knew when to come when we needed them. Anywho, come here!

Yelp
Great food, well prepared and presented. Exceptionally friendly wait staff. I arrived a bit earlier than my friend and was welcomed to sit inside and provided with iced water (on a warm Winter day in Old Town Pasadena). The food was beautifully prepared and presented and tasted as good as it looked. We will be back.

Yelp
Unique setup. Waiter was attentive immediately upon us walking in. Simple menu, and portions vary. My cha shu rice was small but a perfect size for my appetite. Cha shu was very tasty. Karage was so crispy and the meat so tender! Definitely one of my favorite. The ramen was hot and the noodles were made just right. Would definitely come back!! Waiting to order desert.

Yelp
No amount of poorly-written AI reviews can do this awesome place justice, so as always, you're getting a human-written review from a human-experienced event. Yesenia was our server and she was a 10/10 all-around super professional server from the moment we set fot in the establishment. The food itself is unmatched. I have been to their San Gabriel location at least 3 or 4 times and this place is just as good in terms of flavor and quality. The ambiance is great, the server even went as far as lowering the window blinds after some new customers walked in and they sat close to one of the windows. Tsukemen will forever remain as my favorite kind of Ramen (it's basically cold noodles that you dip in a hot and salty broth served in a small bowl on the side). One of the assistant managers offered to help me in how to eat it but I was already familiar with the concept, so I thanked her for her offer and proceeded to eat. The fried chicken is another ball game, it's literally Japanese fried chicken but they also add a touch of some sort of honey-based syrup that makes it 100 times better. My parents had the tonkotsu and it was great too. Truly a remarkable experience in the heart of Old Town Pasadena.

Yelp
My husband loves Taujita but the original one. He got excited when he saw they have multiple locations. This is the newest one. We were in town and figured why not instead of driving to Sawtelle. We waited for over one hour. When we finally sat down, menu is not the same, service was so slow and staff needs More training. They were out of half of their menu and we weren't even told. Apparently the female Server had gone outside and told the first few people in line when everyone should be notified. That was not the case. I could not find something to eat and was frustrated that I had to wait for nothing. My husband and I ended up leaving going to Sato Ramen. Food is great and service is outstanding and half the price. Will NOT return and will not recommend

Yelp
Really glad that they opened another location in Pasadena, because the one in Sawtelle has just too long of a wait for what it is. Highly recommend the tsukemen over the tonkatsu ramen. The tonkatsu ramen broth tasted more like chicken even though they claim to use pork bones and a whole chicken, but I could not taste any flavor of pork. Reminded me a little too much of chicken soup. I get the deluxe tsukemen every time I'm here because I like the thick chewy texture of the noodles. The pork chashu can be a little tough and when they mean by "generous" it's actually 4 thick slices, but at least the sauce is pretty flavorful and clings well to the noodles. The pacing was really off. My boyfriend's tokantsu ramen came out first and it took 10 minutes for my tsukemen.

Yelp
Giving 1 star because my husband and I showed up at 8pm on a Saturday Night only for them to tell us they were closed because there were 3 parties (minimum of 2 people each) waiting outside. Very disappointed given the fact that their hours says they close at 10pm and we got there 2 HOURS before closing time... but was told "Sorry, we are closed" cos there were 3 groups of 2 waiting outside? As a business, if your hours says CLOSE AT 10PM. Then closer to 10PM would you stop seating people.. not 2 hours prior. Very disappointed as we really wanted to try out this location since it's closer to us than Sawtelle.

Yelp
Food: We ordered the Deluxe Tonkatsu, Tonkatsu, Kid Ramen, side of bamboo (menma), & karaage We liked everything! The soups were yummy. I thought the Deluxe's tasted a bit more creamy than the regular tonkatsu. The hubby thought the Deluxe was a bit salty (I didn't think so). I think they're the same soup but whatever we added a bit to the bowl might've adjusted the taste a bit. Regardless, all yummy. The noodle was good. If compared to Shin Sen Gumi ramen, I'd put it at normal level. Our little one liked the soup a lot & the noodle too. He didn't care for the egg so I ate it, liked it. Pork chashu here is cut very thin, still tasty though. Personally, I prefer it this way. I'm not much of a meat eater. The menma was good, not salty or too pungent as bamboo could be sometime. They have spicy bamboo & ginger on the table. I added both. I liked the spicy bamboo. It was a good alternative to spicy miso that I usually order and add to the ramen. Karaage was great. One of the best I've had so far. I like the portion, not overwhelming, a true appetizer size. It was also tasty and crispy in pretty much the perfect way to me. I'm usually neutral about karaage. Service was cool. We got whatever we asked for promptly. Our server was nice and the kitchen staff seemed friendly (bias here because they waved back to my little guy & thought he was very cute). One thing, if you have kids it's likely not the best place, especially if you need space for a stroller or car seat carrier. We came here with our 2 little ones, one was in a carrier, the table in the booth was movable but one of us was squished in with barely any space to move our arms while we eat.

Yelp
More photos from my last trip here. First time having tsukemen, and must try in my opinion.

Yelp
The place is beautiful. There's enough space and it's super clean. The food was flavorful but too salty for my liking. I got the spicy dipping noodle with the chashu and egg. The pork was soft and tender, but it was on the fatty end. The egg was astounding. It was soft , jammy, and marinated perfectly. The broth of the dipping noodle was really thick and salty, and there was more fat in that broth. It was a heavy meal, But the noodle which was perfect. It was a cold noodle that was chewy and fresh. The ladies who were serving were so nice and pleasant. Highly recommended this place!

Yelp
I've been a huge fan of Tsujita's food since the 1st one opened on Sawtelle on the Westside (I think that's the 1st one). I'm not a fan of having to wait outside for a table when I see at least 3 empty tables; however I think it's due to the fact that most restaurants now are understaffed and it helps them provide proper service to those who are seated. Beyond that they did a great job creating a decent ambiance. Locals might recall that this space, which was empty for a long time following Covid, was a soft-serve shop and, prior to that, a tea shop.

Yelp
A super tasty bowl of Tsukemen (dipping noodle) ramen! I've been to their DTLA location, and I didn't have the best experience... but this location easily makes up for it - it's super modern and clean, fast and with friendly service! I came with a big group of 8 for lunch, and there were plenty of open seats- though space is a little odd, so they had to push a couple of their small tables to fit all of us in. We got all of our bowls in about the same time, so timing was good, so we didn't feel rude to eat for those who hadn't gotten their order yet - and the wait wasn't long at all. Water refills came on time as well, and they were totally cool with us splitting the bill between a couple of cards. The dipping broth was rich, with cooked in pieces of pork and bamboo, much better than my experience at their dtla location! The noodles were a good density and chewy, which is a texture of noodle I really like, and with some red pickled radish on the side, was a real lunch pleaser for me! It's very straightforward, with the regular serving size being nearly the perfect portion for me! I'll be back since the location is super convenient for me, and dipping ramen isn't so common around these parts. There is metered street parking as well as the Del Lacy parking building across the street! Consider me a fan! They are still in their soft opening phase, so stop by before this place becomes crowded with all the hubub!
