月夜岩 is a Taipei famous king crab restaurant. While it is a bit pricey, we don’t have any complaint about food quality (really fresh and delicious), service (basically a staff servicing you inside the room all time, with chefs preparing different dishes), and atmosphere (every reservation is inside a room, very clean, tidy, and Japanese style). The main chef will start breaking apart the whole big king crab inside the room. Depending on the parts and freshness, he and the other chef, also Japanese, will prepare different parts of the crab in various styles such as shabu shabu, grilled, and tempura. The most amazing is shabu shabu dipped into the crab-roe-rich sauce. We have the lunch and the price is the same as dinner, depending on what kind of crabs and meal sets you choose. And apparently winter is the most suitable season for Japanese crab. We definitely will come back.

this is a wonderful restaurant. excellent service and delicious crab. i have been here twice and they definitely do not disappoint. My wife and i went there for Valentines day this year to try a different crab; it was delicious. while dining here you really get the feeling that you are in Japan eating crab 👌 We will be back again.

Professional master chef and team, live crabs shipped from Japan, friendly and considerate staffs, separate dining areas, great table service, and beautiful desserts, what else can you ask for? It has become the best birthday celebration restaurant of my family😊

This was a great experience - the service here was simply immaculate. The food was impressive and well prepared. We had a set of matsuba crab Kaiseki cuisine, and it was absolutely delicious and out of our expectation. We loved it and will definitely come here again for any special occasions.

Definitely worth the price, not an ad scam! The portion of the 5400 course is just about right, and every dish was delicious and delicate. Customers are served in private rooms with an assigned server. The highlight was the grilled crab butter and the steam crab rice. The dessert was also delicious.
