Loved this spot! Tsukiyo Sushi is super cozy and the sushi is so fresh. Everything we ordered tasted amazing, especially the specialty rolls and they just melt in your mouth. The staff was really friendly and made us feel right at home. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to keep coming back to. If you’re into sushi, definitely check it out!

From the service to the food, everything was wonderful. My boyfriend and I walked in around 5:45 on a Sunday and were seated at the bar immediately. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Paul! Food came out quickly and the sushi was delicious and fresh (we’re kinda sushi snobs lol). It’s hard to find a place like this with such great food at such low prices! I couldn’t believe everything we ordered was under $10 and the servings were bigger than expected for the price. We definitely ordered more than we needed to and we were stuffed. We will absolutely be back soon and I can’t wait to try their highball cocktails next time!

Taken by a friend, this place was such a good experience. Firstly, the way each option on the menu had a picture deserves 5 stars in itself. The fish in each roll was so fresh, and the crispy shrimp surprised us with how flavourful and crunchy it was. They also give a free ice cream for each review written (I would have done it anyways, but this was such a bonus)! I highly recommend.

This is such a cute hidden gem in LA! We are visiting from New Orleans and stumbled upon this spot. We opted for a room for the full Japanese dining experience. We had to take our shoes off and sit on the floor but there’s a cool cut out in the floor for your legs. Service was excellent and the food is 10/10!! We tried a few different items see photos and would recommend this place to EVERYONE!!

Google
We were here around 5pm and no wait. We found this place on google map and the food is surprisingly tasty. The price is rather cheap compared to their high quality seafood. $30 sushi dinner set is a must try and almost everyone sit around us order this one. Tempura Brussels sprouts is another great one. Their appetizers are recommended too we tried scallops and ceviche tacos both have unique flavors. Will come back for sure.

Google
One of the best affordable yet authentic sushi restaurants in LA. We each ordered the sushi set dinner (12 pieces for $29) and shared a few appetizers, including Agedashi Tofu, Jalapeño Shrimp, and Saba Bouzushi. The sushi set was a solid 10/10—extremely fresh and tasty at an unbeatable price. The Saba Bouzushi is another favorite of mine. However, the Agedashi Tofu could use some improvement; it was sliced thin and lacked enough volume. Despite that, the overall quality of the food is outstanding, especially the sushi. I will definitely be coming back again.

Located in a strip mall. Came here for lunch. The food is delicious. Service is great. The place is clean. A must stop if in the area. The lunch set for 10 pieces is outstanding value. I will come back when I am in the area.

Google
Just tried this new sushi spot, and I’m seriously impressed! About 90% of what I ordered was amazing—super fresh fish, great flavors, and beautifully presented. The ambiance is a big highlight too. They have traditional Japanese seating where you take off your shoes, but there’s a space under the table so you’re still comfortable. It really adds to the experience! Another standout is their sake selection—lots of great options to pair with the food. And what makes this place really unique is that they serve both sushi and pasta, which you don’t usually see in a Japanese restaurant. Sounds unusual, but they pull it off really well! Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.

Yelp
The food selection and the presentation is excellent. The dishes are delicious and perfectly seasoned, with no excessive salt or sauce. The seating area is well-spaced, and the service is very good. I certainly come back again.

Yelp
Service: Rin was super helpful in guiding us with all the options of the menu and with deciding what to order. His costumer service is absolutely one of the best I've seen. Brenda was also very charismatic and made us have a pleasurable experience. Food: The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. I recommend going as a group and sharing platers for an ultimate experience and trying new things. Inside: the dining area and restrooms are both very clean and up to standard!

Yelp
The vibe of the restaurant is superb! Sushi chefs are so professional Esp. Brenda was our waiter and she was so nice and attentive, love this place!

Yelp
The freshness of sushi and sashimi was impressive, and the rice was better than the most other Japanese restaurants I've been to. A very pleasant and excellent service by everyone that works here, and Yeji made our Friday evening dinner so much more pleasant-! A must-try, a hidden gem in K-rown

Yelp
The food and service here is so great. I love bringing my friends if they have never tried. I think one of the great things is their private table set up and I always get their set sushi whether it's lunch or dinner. Great time! Parking can be a little bit challenging, but valet is three dollars for lunch and four dollars for dinner. There is limited street parking with meters around.

Yelp
I'm almost afraid to leave this review in fear that when I return it'll be too popular for me to get a seat-- this place is AMAZING. I'm so sad I'm leaving LA today. If I lived here I'd come here all the time. - food: All the sushi is sooooo fresh and seasoned perfectly and with intention. You can tell they put a lot of thought into what seasonings/toppings go on each piece, and everything tastes so good! Have it all without soy sauce and trust the chefs. Nothing fishy at all :D ALSO they have really good ginger (great palate cleanser but not too bitey), and REAL WASABI. I'm a huge horseradish hater to the point where normally wasabi ruins any dish it touches for me, but it was real tasty here. Also the hot water with lemon is nice! - $$: the price is incredibly reasonable. We splurged both nights (we had to come back twice before leaving LA) and spent 80 bucks one night and 130 the other (the markup being drinks). For what basically felt like fine dining, this is a steal. - service/ambience: the service is impeccable. I love when servers have strong opinions on what they recommend and they were also so nice! Huge shoutout to Jin in particular. I trusted his recs the whole time and he did not fail Things I really liked here: saba bouzushi (which we didnt photograph any of the 3 times we ordered it bc we ate it so fast) and the cinco de aburi (smoky and spicy!). The golden eye snapper and kanpachi were also great, the eggplant was very tasty although a little large, and drinks wise I thought the umefizz was good!

Yelp
The food here is so gooooodd. My group came by on a Sunday night without a reservation and waited about 20 minutes, and we were ecstatic when we got seated in one of their private tatami rooms!! Between the four of us, we ordered the uni cream pasta, mentaiko pasta, two sushi dinner sets, the Monk (monkfish liver), aburi salmon roll, and the seafood cream nabe. Literally everything was so delicious. The sushi was very fresh. We loved the uni pasta so much we ordered another pasta at the end of dinner instead of dessert lol. The only qualm I had was that there were so many flies swarming around us all throughout dinner. Initially it wasn't so bad, but then it seemed like more of them kept coming, and by the end it was getting hard to enjoy our dinner because we spent so much time trying to shoo the flies away from the food. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but this unfortunately did dampen my experience here quite a bit.

Yelp
Came here for a friends lunch and was quite surprised on how delicious everything was at this restaurant. For sushi quality it is very delicious and for the price I think it's very well worth the money. Server was extremely nice and attentive to everything that we needed. We also brought a cake that they held in the refrigerator for us, which was really nice of them. Space is very big too considering a lot of spots in Koreatown are pretty small. The restaurant is very clean and bright. Recommended Items: Agedashi tofu: 8.5/10 (4 pieces so delicious) chicken karrage: 8.2/10 (cooked to perfection with sauce grilled mentaiko with cucumber: 8.5/10 (idk what this is but its gas) uni cream pasta: 7/10 (didnt hit plus came out room temp) chirashi don: 8/10 i will be back Parking is limited in the lot spots are very tight. Might get lucky on street parking too.

Yelp
I did not expect such fresh nigiri for only $25 (premium 10pc lunch set with 2pc futomaki, miso soup, and house salad). My friends and I split the mentaiko cream pasta - so delicious but we were so full and couldn't finish it all. It wasn't super busy when we walked in on a Saturday morning, so we got to take off our shoes and sit at one of the traditional japanese floor seating areas which was a cool experience. 10/10 would come again and recommend to others.

Yelp
My husband and I had an amazing experience here! It was our first time so they put us in the private dining room which was right by the sushi counter. We ordered a variety of small plate options and the sushi dinner. Everything was fresh and delicious. The price was also much lower than I expected - an amazing value! The sushi dinner was probably the highlight of the meal. My husband said it was really great quality fish and loved the variety that Tsukiyo had. Overall, we will be back!

Yelp
Food was amazing! Sushi Dinner Set: sooo tender fish. Melt in your mouth. Highly recommend. Only thing is that in one of the fish I had a hard tendon part that I couldn't chew and had to spit out. Tsukiyo Special Roll: Awesome! Really great flavors and my first time having asparagus in a roll and it had a great crunchy texture to it. Yellowtail Carpacchio: really good too. Don't get too much of the sauce when you eat it because it is too acidic. They gave us complimentary edamame! Service is super quick and nice! 10/10. They collected my plates and trash immediately and food came out super quick too. Ambience is welcoming, loud music playing, and pretty busy on a Friday night! Came here for the traditional sit on the floor type dining, but unfortunately they were all filled, so we sat at the bar. But that didn't take away from the experience!

Yelp
This place gives some good value for what you pay for. Came here on a Thursday night at 8PM with 10 minute for a party of 4. After hearing the potentially long wait times even during the weekeday, going at 8PM seems to be the move. Opted for one of the room seatings which was a great choice for ambiance. If opting for the room, you will be required to take off your shoes. Definitely worth the experience as you don't see a lot of places in LA that has this kind of seating. As for food, the sushi set dinner for $29.99 was great. With 12 different pieces, the variety was great and was a good amount of food. As usual, the set does come with a side salad and miso soup. Fish quality wise, it is solid. No fishy smells or off tastes. Even the lean tuna was delicious. The hotate was not the best I've ever had but still good for price point. The uni quality was unfortuantely on the poorer side with a bit more melted consistency and a slight bitter taste. All the other cuts of fish were great, room temperature, and melt in your mount. The Rolls Royce was an interestiing piece. At $13.99, it is qutie pricy but is what you would expect of a very heavy fatty handroll. The truffle oil drizzle was very prominent on first bite but not in a bad way; definitely a solid piece but nothing else different from other super heavy pieces like this. The saba bouzushi which our server pushed as a great alternative to the Rolls Royce is a great piece too. Not as good as the Rolls Royce but at $6.99 for 2 pieces, its much cheaper and tastes delicious as well. I'd try both. Overall would recommend this place. Despite the unsuspecting tucked in the corner of a strip mall location, this place is solid.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. It's located in the corner of a strip mall with valet parking and nearby street parking. The quality of the food with the price is SO GOOD, especially in LA. We got: -spicy tiny crispy rice ($9): solid -house nabe ($20): good, but definitely to share -uni cream pasta ($17): solid -sushi dinner set ($30): amazing value, fresh -chirashi ($30): so fresh We LOVED the sushi and the quality for the price. Service was quick and attentive. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend .

Yelp
Stopped by this sushi spot for lunch and had a pretty solid experience overall. The ambiance was relaxed and intimate, with a great instrumental playlist that made the whole meal feel extra chill and elevated. The service was genuinely warm and attentive from start to finish--never rushed, but always available when we needed something. Food-wise, there were definitely some standout dishes. The sea urchin (uni) pasta was tasty and well-prepared, but I do wish it had come with more actual sea urchin pieces to really bring out that rich, buttery flavor. One of my favorite bites was a roll topped with sweet shrimp, sea urchin, caviar, and gold flakes - luxe, beautifully balanced, and worth the splurge. That said, not everything blew me away. A few items didn't taste as fresh or flavorful as I expected, especially considering the quality of some of the standouts. I would skip the potato salad as well as the fried seafood bucket. Prices were reasonable for the setting and the type of dishes offered. Would come back for the ambiance, service, and a few key menu items--but next time, I'll be a little more selective with the ordering.

Yelp
I've been wanting to visit Tsukiyo for a while now because I've heard so many good things. I finally went today and it definitely lived up to the hype! Everything was amazing - from the quality of fish, to the impeccable service. I also LOVED the tatami-style seating. You have to take your shoes off, which honestly only enhances the experience as you dine in your own private room. I couldn't believe how reasonably priced everything was. We ordered the sushi set which included 12 pieces of the freshest and thickest cuts of fish. I was so impressed by the variety of fish. There was uni, snow crab, yellowtail belly, salmon belly, and so much more. It came with a huge salad and side of miso soup...all for $30?! I couldn't believe it. The service is seriously incredible. They checked up on us so much and everyone was so kind and attentive. They treat you like you're a friend dining in their home. We also had a scoop of black sesame and green tea ice cream, which were both delicious. Pro-tip: mix the two flavors together for the best combo. I live in OC but am counting down the days I get to come back to Tsukiyo. Parking is $4 and valet. Super easy.

Yelp
This was our second visit to Tsukiyo Sushi (moonlit evening sushi) on a perfect full moon night. For a strip mall location, this spot exceeds expectations. We were seated in a nice tatami room which already elevates the experience. Our family of 5 which includes two littles shared a few plates and non alcoholic beverages and our total bill came out to just around $100. For the presentation, quality of the fish and satisfied bellies...this is an amazing deal! We have easily spent double that at a lesser quality establishment. Mentai Cream Pasta - flavorful and ultra creamy Salmon Crunch Roll - perfect combo of salmon, spicy tuna and shrimp tempura topped with crispy onions Sushi Dinner Set - beautiful assortment of sushi (my mom loved the smaller rice to fish proportion) Ikura Sushi - the girls gave two thumbs up Tempura Udon - the kakiage (shredded veggies tempura) was a nice touch and the noodle texture was perfectly chewy Eggplant Karaage - panko battered so maybe better named Katsu Eggplant Valet parking on a Tuesday night was $5. We will be back soon!

Yelp
Our first stop in SoCal and we really enjoyed our experience here. Came here with a party of 4 and they sat us in a tatami style room where we had to remove our shoes and there was a lowered area for our feet where we sat. It made the experience really fun and traditional. Service was great as they let us have a few minutes to look through the menu. We all ended up ordering their cocktails- the umefizz and yuzumi and both were light and refreshing. We got 4 rolls and shared that for a light lunch. I forgot which rolls, but my favorite was probably the lion king roll. Overall it was a great spot for lunch and would definitely come back to try their other dishes such as the nabe and pasta/udon dishes.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by both the quality and the price! I got the sushi lunch special for $25--such a great deal for the variety and freshness you get. We also tried the Salmon Crunch Roll, which was delicious. The fried onions on top added the perfect savory crunch. The chicken karaage was solid--not the standout of the meal, but still enjoyable. What really made the experience was the ambience and service. The space has a relaxed, clean vibe, and our server Aaron was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out smoothly. Definitely planning to come back. Great value, great vibes, and great sushi.

Yelp
Sat inside the rooms, it looks like you're sitting on the floor but actually there's a hole for your feet! So it feels like you're just sitting in a chair. It's very cool. - Sushi Dinner Set 5/5 Oh my... it's only $30 and you get miso soup, salad, and all this premium fish! It's SUCH A STEAL. Definitely worth it! very fresh. - Fried Oysters 5/5 It's crispy and juicy on the inside. Really yummy if you enjoy fried oysters. - Handroll 5/5 Very heavy on the umami taste! The shrimp, Uni, all very creamy. It's AMAZING. Definitely high quality hand roll. - Diablo Roll 5/5 I love the sauce. It's very spicy (because it has habanero). The spicy tuna is fresh and so is the slices of salmon on top. - Spider Roll 5/5 A very solid spider roll. Crispy crunchy meaty soft shell crab inside. They also add a big amount of imitation crab! - Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice 4.1/5 A big flat piece of crispy rice, with a flat bed of spicy tuna and avocado. I wish they put the spicy tuna a little thicker on. - Smoked Salmon Crispy Rice 5/5 Pieces of salmon on top of crispy rice and they smoke it and open it in front of you! It's a fun little table side show. But wow, the smoke does permeate the rice and the fish, it's very Smokey. What a fun experience! Valet parking $4

Yelp
This place offers tatami style dining and it was so cute and intimate. The menu offers a large variety and there was so many things we wanted to try but our stomachs can only eat so much. We decided on the grilled mentaiko with cucumber, mentaiko potato salad, seafood cream nabe, tsukiyo salad, and a 5 piece buried set. The grilled mentaiko was super yummy. It was a great starter. The mentaiko potato salad was something new for us and we pleasantly enjoyed it. It had a nice mentaiko kick to it so could be spicy to some people but I didn't think it was spicy. Presentation for seafood cream nabe was great and it was filled with veggies as well. 5 piece buried was ammaaazinngg so yummy Valet parking is available

Yelp
[ Norovirus update ] We were very pleased with Tsukiyo Sushi's customer service and how they checked in on us after we got Norovirus from their oysters. At the time, the batch they served hadn't been recalled, and the restaurant has been actively monitoring all recall updates. Tsukiyo has now been cooperating with health officials as they investigate additional batches of frozen oysters from Korea. It was an unfortunate event, but Tsukiyo handled it with great care and professionalism! ------------// Do not get oysters here!! 3 out of 4 of our friends were infected with Norovirus after eating their oysters. It turns out Tsukiyo Sushi imports their oysters from Korea, which is currently experiencing a Norovirus outbreak. [ Food ] Decided to visit this new hole in the wall sushi joint on a Monday night. Very lowkey location tucked away at the corner of a plaza and we couldn't even find the entrance at first. If you're visiting for the first time, I would highly recommend their tatami style room with the low table! * Sushi Set Dinner -- for only $30, you get 12 pieces of premium sushi served with salad and miso soup! if there's one thing to get here, it's this! * Oysters -- served with ponzu jelly and chives. DO NOT GET OYSTERS right now with the Norovirus outbreak. * Uni Cream Pasta -- thicker sauce than your typical uni pasta, but still really good! * Eggplant Karaage -- wanted to try something unique. I don't love or hate this dish. Unlike the batter of your typical chicken karaage, they used panko on these eggplants like what they would do with Tonkatsu and that threw me off. I can see people liking this dish, but personally not for me. * Brussels Sprout Tempura with Truffle -- wanted to try something unique again and got this. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The Brussels sprouts were cut too thick as a tempura--thinner slices would've been better. While they drizzled truffle oil, the accompanying spicy aioli was quite strong and ended up overpowering it. Honestly, I don't even remember tasting the truffle. [ Parking ] Valet parking available for this plaza or you could do street parking. I think overall I would come back just for their Sushi Set, but I'm honestly traumatized after eating here. I got hit with every single symptom of Norovirus and was bedridden. My friend had it even worse and ended up in the ER for half the day. I tried calling the restaurant to let them know NOT to serve their oysters right now, but the person on the phone only said "someone will get back to you" and no one did.

Yelp
Really tasty sushi rolls. Uni Pasta was absolutely fantastic. The presentation of the dishes was impeccable. The service was excellent. If I had to complain, I just didn't like that every 5 minutes someone came to take away empty plates... I didn't like how I had to stop to eat, just to take the plates away! But overall very good!!! We will definitely be back

Yelp
Food: amazingly delicious & fresh! Service: very welcoming & on top of everything! Ambiance: warm & cozy Parking is busy but they have valet. Try this place if you're in LA- Korea town. Highly recommend this awesome place

Yelp
Me and my friend came on a Tuesday, wanted a booth was told it was a 30-40 min wait. I think people didn't want to wait so they left and we were seated within 15 min! The yellowtail carpaccio was amazing! 1000/10 The sushi set was really good I was surprised the pasta was super good Didn't like the salmon baked roll too much, the spicy tuna on top was fried and super hard. Wasn't really for me But I would def go back for the fresh sushi! Our server was super nice and made great reservations as well.

Yelp
Disclaimer: The 3 stars is because my partner got really sick after eating the oysters here, I did really enjoy the other dishes. We came around 5:45pm on saturday night and got seated right away. We chose to sit in the tatami room, you take your shoes off but don't worry you don't need to sit cross legged the whole time! Theres actually seats hidden but feels like you are sitting on the floor, it's very cute! Also the servers were super attentive even though we were seated inside! The sushi set is such a steal! For $30 you get 12 pieces of premium sushi. I especially enjoyed the uni and scallops, both were very fresh. The sweet shrimp tasted weird, a bit mushy. But everything else was good. We also got the hot sake and seafood fries. Seafood fries is basically fried seafood on a bed of Cajun season fries, yum! Lastly, we also got half a dozen oysters. I only had 1 of the oysters and my partner ate the other 5. I thought it tasted okay. But my partner got really sick the next day. He was vomiting and having the runs and was out of commission for 3 days straight. We are pretty sure he got the norovirus from the oysters so please be careful and maybe don't get the oysters when you dine here. Regardless I'd still recommend coming here to try out the other dishes!

Yelp
The mentaiko pasta is my favorite dish at Tsukiyo sushi. I didn't think i would be eating pasta at a sushi restaurant but decided to give it a shot. The pasta is sooo smooth and creamy and i could not get enough. It's pretty hard to eat pasta with chopsticks but i did my best. The sushi is also really good and there's a ton of selection but the mentaiko pasta is what you really want.

Yelp
Didn't know there is Japanese restaurant in Koreantown that tucked in the backend of the shopping strip. Valid parking only ($4 for dinner & $3 for lunch) & restaurant doesn't validate it. I thought it would be a hole in the wall type but turned out, quite elegant, cozy and nice decor inside, the place is not that big. They do have 3 sections: sushi bar, table service & washitsu - a Japanese-style room, which were chosen. It was very nice and relaxing. Service is wonderful from entrance to exit. Very detailed, attentive and very friendly. The foods are simple, fresh, make to order, and delish plus well presented - they do have other dishes too like varies type of pasta. We ended up eating more than we thought. Its just wonderful overall. Thank you.

Yelp
Randomly found this place for a spontaneous dinner request. Was looking for some sushi around the area and was a bit weary about the 4.9 stars, but this place ain't lying. The sushi was excellent and I wanted to order more and eat everything (like that gif where Patrick is vacuuming a bunch of krabby patties into his mouth), but I didn't want to look like a glutton in front of the group I came with. Everything we ordered was good. We tried to add another order of the crispy tuna rice appetizer but I think the servers got confused, we ended up canceling the extra order because it took too long before we found out they never put the order in. That's okay, minor mistake. We were full anyway. The interior is set in more of a traditional Japanese style seating, and we had to take off our shoes to sit at those tables (please do not come with stinky feet). The fabric chairs do have a backing though, so there is back support. However, they do also have regular tables as well. The place is pretty small but seats a good number of people. If you come with a large party, your table will be split up. The place does have a wait if you come during prime meal times. Parking is limited as it's located in a small plaza, so you may have to find street parking (if you're lucky) or other alternative parking. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely eat here.

Yelp
From the service to the food, everything was wonderful. My boyfriend and I walked in around 5:45 on a Sunday and were seated at the bar immediately. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Paul! Food came out quickly and the sushi was delicious and fresh (we're kinda sushi snobs lol). It's hard to find a place like this with such great food at such low prices! I couldn't believe everything we ordered was under $10 and the servings were bigger than expected for the price. We definitely ordered more than we needed to and we were stuffed. We will absolutely be back soon and I can't wait to try their highball cocktails next time!

Yelp
Amazing, amazing, amazing!! Honestly, one of my top spots now. I usually go to AYCE sushi because I eat so much and I think I'm addicted to sushi but decided to try this place out as I saw some cute photos on Instagram and I am so glad I did. I almost don't want to write this review and keep it a secret a little longer but that wouldn't be fair for a place this great. It's located in a plaza in Koreatown and valet is $4. It's a fairly small restaurant but half the tables are those cute tables where you take your shoes off and sit on the floor----definitely adds to the experience! The restaurant opened back in January so it is a very new restaurant which is probably the reason for the prices being so affordable. The fish was extremely fresh, servers were friendly, and there is a lot of variety in the menu so something for everyone but most importantly, so many things to try! I noticed we didn't receive the complimentary edamame during dinner time like the other tables but, honestly, I feel like they just forgot and not a big issue. They also have sake and beer (we didn't try any but we definitely will next time). I would either make a reservation or get there early (like we did) because there may be a wait if you come after 7pm. That was around the time we left and most of the tables were occupied by then. We ordered half a dozen oysters, a bunch of nigiri (salmon, yellowtail, golden eye snapper, bluefin tuna belly), Cinco De Aburi (a selection of aburi sushi), salmon skin handroll, agedashi tofu, Lion King Roll (salmon, shrimp tempura, spicy crab, shredded crab stick, cucumber, avocado), and a Bengal Roll (salmon, eel, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado). We behaved ourselves and didn't order more as much as we wanted to because we were on a diet (LOL) but there were a number of appetizers, pasta, udon, sushi rolls, and Signature Izakaya dishes that we were eyeing and will definitely be trying them soon. Everything on super melt-in-your-mouth fresh and extremely affordable. We seriously can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
What an amazing gem nestled in the heart of Ktown! I stumbled upon this place through the power of social media where someone recommended the restaurant due to the high quality fish at an affordable price. We got two sushi dinner sets at $30 a piece for 12 delicious high quality nigiri including uni, crab, ebi shrimp, fatty tuna, yellowtail, ikura, unagi, and a few more! We also ordered the saba bouzushi (mackerel) and a smoke bomb which was an elevated version of a crispy rice tuna and both were very delicious. All in all, the bill came out to $50 pp and we left very satisfied! The presentation of the dishes were wonderful and vibes of this place are intimate and classy. Staff were also very helpful with recommendations and very attentive! I will be returning lots more and bringing more friends to try :)

Yelp
This business has a high class atmosphere for an accessible price. Koreatown parking is a nightmare, but I will do it again to be able to eat at such a place. The menu is full of wonders, and as a rule of thumb, I pick items that I am sure I will not find elsewhere. Think oddly named dishes like "Rolls Royce" or "The Monk"-- both of these were delicious and well worth the price. You are treated with very friendly service here. You are also entering these interesting elevated dining spaces. Because only two of us were dining here, we got a private two person room in the corner. If you ever want to go on a nice date, take your date here. The food is good, the service is nice, and the vibes are unique.

Yelp
My housemate told me this was the best sushi she's had in LA so I had to go try. She was speaking the TRUTH! We got the dinner set (loved the variety), 3 rolls, and uni pasta. The sushi was sooo fresh (even the uni!) and every bite melted in my mouth. We also tried sparkling sake and it was light, sweet and bubbly! I found it cool how they had traditional seating on mats (except we were sitting regularly because it went underground). Our servers were also all super attentive and friendly. I will be back!

Yelp
Such a fun sushi experience! We loved their traditional Japanese tatami seating which we don't see too often in the area. Everything was amazing and the sushi tasted fresh. Highly recommend ordering one of their sushi sets. Highlights include their uni, toro, scallop, and monkfish liver. The servers are super polite and quick!

Yelp
Had a great experience here. Walked in at an odd time around 4pm and got seated immediately. We got to choose between table, bar, or this sit on the floor type table which was a cool intimate experience. Menu was extensive with specials and servers were nice and attentive. Food was amazing we got a bunch of nigiri and the bengall and baked alaska roll. I still think about the baked alaska it was that good. Will return for sure!

Yelp
Can I just say this is the spot for sushi! I called ahead to make a reservation (highly recommend doing that), and I was glad I did because there was already a long wait when I arrived. The vibe here is super cute, and every server we interacted with was friendly and full of personality, which made the experience even better. I started with the signature oysters and the Smoke Bomb both were delicious, but the Smoke Bomb was definitely a standout. For my main, I went with the sushi set dinner, and it was absolutely the right call. Every piece was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. This is officially my new go-to sushi spot.

Yelp
My partner and I each got the dinner sushi set, which was so delicious and full of variety. The complementary edamame was wonderful to start off our dinner. The dinner set had everything I'm looking for in a sushi set-- uni, scallop, sweet shrimp, and it even came with a fried shrimp head nigiri. We were so amazed by their menu and affordability. The quality of the sushi here is very impressive. The chefs were even able to accommodate my partner's shellfish allergy in the sushi set. The servers were also attentive despite being so packed. The ambience is great for a date night, catching up with friends, and celebrating events here. I would love to come back for the sushi set and try more items!

Yelp
If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was a complete disaster. I came in at 4 PM on a Friday, and nobody said a word when we were seated, only to be told later that we had to leave by 6 PM due to a time limit? That's just insane. To make matters worse, the food was absolutely disappointing. I thought it was just mediocre at first, but after the whole experience, I can confidently say it's not worth your time or money. Zero stars if that were an option.

Yelp
This was INCREDIBLE!!! The fish was so fresh and had a lovely texture. The uni especially was excellent - some of the best I've had in America. The 12pc set was a great value ($30), as each piece was individually flavored and melt in your mouth! I have a shellfish allergy and they were super accommodating. The tempura Brussels sprouts were 10/10, and the donabe with fish cake was a hit on a rainy day. Also!!! The SEATING!!! I loved that they had us take off our shoes, use slippers, and sit low to the ground, it was such a fun experience!

Yelp
This place deserves 5 stars and more!! I went with a group of 5 and we each got the dinner omakase which was such a steal for only $30 (plus salad and miso soup). The quality was honestly better than other expensive omakase places that I have been too. What else we got: - Brussel tempura: perfectly battered and the brussels are smashed which i like - dozen oysters: they put ponzu jelly which I personally do like a lot of sauce with my oysters so I like this but if you like less sauce this might not be for you (12 for $16 was also an insane deal) The service was great - waiters were super attentive. I love the ambiance, you can sit on the ground in private rooms so it feels like Japan. Parking however is pretty difficult to find on the weekend but they have valet for $4. Would 10000% come back!

Yelp
I had dinner here with two guests. A 10 minute wait. Friendly staff. They do not offer fresh Wasabi. No hand wipes. The food tasted good. I thought the best value was the 2 item Bento Boxes. The Sushi seemed fresh. A nice place if you are in the area. Parking: A shared lot with evening Valet charge of $4.00. Restaurant does not validate. Limited street parking. Rating: 4 stars.

Yelp
Food: 4.5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambiance: 4.5 Stars We visited this cozy restaurant on a rainy Friday afternoon for lunch. All four of us ordered the Sushi Set Lunch for $24.99, and I must say, this place offers one of the best values for this meal. As seen in the photo, the set included 10 pieces of sushi, two sizable pieces of futomaki, and a generously portioned salad. In terms of taste, I'd rate the sushi around 4 stars - though that's based on my personal preference. It seemed they used a special sauce on either or both the sushi and sushi rice, which slightly overpowered the raw fish flavor for me. Also, the eel was a bit dry that day. We also ordered the Salmon Crunch Roll (unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo), which was delicious. I especially enjoyed the crispy fried onions on top. The service was excellent, and they also had private rooms that required reservations. Overall, I would definitely return to enjoy their lunch set again!

Yelp
I saw this spot on TikTok and I am so glad that I ate here. I came for the $25 lunch special and it is such a great deal. The fish quality is absolutely amazing- it is also a great variety of sushi. The inside is also really nice, booth seating for groups under 4- group 4 and up get to go onto the nicer rooms, gotta come back and try that next time for the experience.

Yelp
Food was good, not amazing. Got the premium sushi set. Fish was fresh but not as cold as I would like. Gyu don was great, but ask for extra sauce. Lots of rice for the amount of meat. Appetizers were great. Service was wonderful. Small hole in the wall sushi spot. They even have the low table seating with the hole on the bottom for your feet if you don't want to be on your knees.

Yelp
I want to gatekeep so bad but this place is amazing! Staff is extremely friendly and there's great customer service. We got seated at the outside table so hopefully next time I can try the indoor table with the tatami style seating~ We got the mentaiko pasta, the sushi dinner set, the monk, smoke bomb, and sabe appetizer. My bf loved the mentaiko pasta, my favorite was the uni and amae ebi sushi in the sushi dinner set (shoutout to the salmon and tuna nigiri too. Yellowtail was ok) The side salad that comes with the set has a really nice black sesame dressing that's light and refreshing! The smoke bomb also packs an umami punch - I'm curious to try the spicy tuna rice next time. Prices are great and the quality is Everything was so delicious! can't wait to bring my friends.

Yelp
The food was so delicious! Made with so much care and intention! Best sushi I've had in a while!! I love the seating set up and the ambience. Service was also so amazing. My friend recommended this place and I'm 100% coming back!

Yelp
If you're looking for a sushi spot that delivers both quality and experience, Tsukiyo Sushi is worth checking out. For $29.99, you get a beautifully crafted sushi set that feels like a steal for the freshness and presentation. The $24.99 nabe is a comforting, hearty option--perfect for a colder day or when you're craving something warm and savory. One of the highlights? The traditional tatami seating, where you take off your shoes and immerse yourself in a more authentic Japanese dining experience. It adds a level of charm that makes your meal feel special, not just another quick sushi run. Another standout dish? The uni pasta. Creamy, rich, and packed with that signature umami depth, it's definitely worth trying if you're a fan of sea urchin. Pair it all with some decent sake, and you've got a solid meal. They also offer a $24.99 lunch special, making it a great spot for a mid-day sushi fix without breaking the bank. What more can I say? It's good. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself.

Yelp
Stopped in fairly easily and was lucky to get a room seat here! The main room has cute enclaves around perimeter for traditional japanese seating (no shoes!) We were seated in the room directly across from sushi bar and head chef. My faves had to be the chefs sushi special set, the aburi garlic truffle nigiri set, and the sesame ice cream! You can tell their dishes are so intricately crafted, from the fish to rice ratio, to portion sizes, to garnishes, plating and sauces - I did not need a lick of soy sauce, wasabi or even ginger!! And I am definitely a sauce and ginger gal.. The sushi here was fresh, well cured and had beautiful plating. A lot of their rolls are bright and beautiful. I appreciate their balance of flavor profiles and textures with each dish. Sushi line was staffed with 4-5 workers and plenty of servers. What I appreciated the most was not only the pace at which food came out, but the attention and thought to our food experience from beginning to end. We were served edamame and a chef special sushi item that came out mid meal- these were an absolute perfect pairing to what we already ordered and was very much appreciated!! Amazing attention to detail, awareness from sushi line/head chef to serve those items. Their servers and team are trained well and the service was seamless, fun and not rigid. Maybe the room seating just brings the right vibes ha Highly recommended! This is a great addition to the local sushi scene and perfect spot for girls night, date night or just a casual yummy weekday lunch/dinner. There is something for everyone on their menu and I can't wait to come back to try their warm dishes like nabe and pasta!!
