The place is quaint and cute. The sushi was really good. Very decorative and fresh. They took a long time to service the food so they gave the place little by little. We did have a big party so I think this is the reason but some of us had to wait over 30 minutes after some of the others already ate. They were very confused on whose plate belonged to which person at the table. But they did remember to refill our drinks. It was a okay experience. I'll continue to go to my other sushi spots.

Really relaxing environment other than the killer music playing 🤣 The food was very good and authentic, really accommodating service. I would definitely recommend this to others. The prices are also decent 🫶 The sauces are very good and they have about 5 to choose from. Great sushi and mochi!

My husband and I come here all the time and sit at the bar top in front of the sushi chefs. It's so cool watching them roll every thing. We have tried about half of the specialty rolls and everything is very good. Service is always mellow and friendly people.

We come here every year for my birthday. This is a cozy sushi bar with a very elaborate menu! The service here is exceptional, and the food is excellent. Highly recommend! I ordered the Butterfly rolls, Alligator rolls, and AC/DC rolls. My son always gets the King Kong rolls.

We absolutely love eating here! Whether we order off the menu or request a "chef special" we are never disappointed! The sushi chefs are friendly and skilled, and the waitresses always ensure our needs are met. Highly recommend!

My salmon lover sushi roll was really delicious. They have great vegan options as far as the sushi goes; I recommend the sweet tofu roll and the other tofu veggie rolls. Nice ambiance and our server was very nice and attentive. Thanks!

I had high hopes for this visit, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas. The steak teriyaki meal was disappointing—the meat was chewy, mostly fat, and lacked flavor. To make things worse, the check was brought out before my meal even arrived, which felt rushed and unprofessional. The service overall was poor, and the ambiance didn’t make up for it. The owner or manager was walking around in slippers, dragging his feet, and directing staff, which really took away from the dining experience. This place has potential, but it definitely needs improvement in food quality, service, and professionalism before I’d consider returning.

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday and they seated us quickly, the service was speedy and our server was very kind. I was hesitant to go when I read “sushi” in the name because I don’t eat seafood, but they actually had a large selection. Food came out pretty quick and we enjoyed it all! I got the chicken katsu and it really yummy!

It took me a few days to post this. It was a rainy day and our first time here. The restaurant is centrally located in Winter Haven, in a really nice area, and the decor inside was pretty nice too, so I was hoping for a good experience. We requested a table, and they pointed us to a dirty table and waited for them to clean it - no big deal. We asked for water with lemon, and the server said, "We're just slammed so we didn't have time to cut any lemon." Really? Florida water isn't great, but what they brought tasted like pure swamp. My wife ordered a plum wine that was basically half a portion or more like a shot in some cities. I ordered an Ichiban, but they had no Japanese beers in a Japanese restaurant. The server said their distributor just stopped bringing any. Strike 2. My wife got chicken tempura, and I just ordered a few appetizers ( a shrimp tempura roll, salad with ginger dressing, and gyozas). Her soup came out ice cold. Literally. I even took a picture with my finger in it to show how cold it was. The chicken was more chicken tenders style than tempura style if that makes any sense. My salad started out good, but once you got closer to the bottom it was watery - about an inch of water pooled at the bottom. The dumplings were subpar greasy and void of presentation. The roll was subpar. It seemed like a neighborhood place where some people knew the staff, but that didn't make up for the food or service. I'll chalk it up to a bad day, but for the prices they charge and the quality we got, it's hard to think about coming back. I hate leaving reviews like this without making me feel like I'm picking on places. We actually love supporting neighborhood spots, especially ones we've never been to in areas we're not from. But if this is what it takes for them to step it up, then so be it.

Sarah was amazing. She was pleasant and helpful with menu. Restaurant was clean. Staff greets you as you enter. The Sushi was fresh and had great flavors. The tuna roll was delicious best my son has eaten. Krab Rangoon was meaty and also delicious. Definitely will be back.

we had eaten here one other time and had a good experience and we brought our daughter to try it and she never received the sushi roll she ordered so we had already waited 20 minutes and the waitress would not come over finally came over and asked her to see why she had not received her sushi roll. She just walked away and we waited another 15 minutes, called her back over again and she finally walked over to ask them to make it by then we were completely done eating for almost 10 minutes so my daughter did not even want the role any longer And did not want to wait for them to make it. No one Apologized or came over to talk to us about why we never received her food. The service was not good at all And we probably will not go back again

I love sushi & I can always count on tsukiyomi sushi to meet my needs and cravings! I have tried a handful of their rolls and all of them have satisfied my cravings! I love going here for its quaint atmosphere and the personable staff. I highly recommend avoiding busy times due to a smaller restaurant their capacity isn't as large. However, they seem to flip tables fast when it comes to service!

Food was good. However, I did notice no one uses gloves here when food handling. Also, the service is sub par unfortunately, the service could improve if manager didn't stifle the other servers for their tips and hog all the tables. Not a good way to run a small business. Could be better if more attention was placed on sanitation and making their employees feel valued.

Finally found a place where I can get decent sushi. Everything we ordered was really good.

Everything I have eaten here has been nothing but delicious! That's why we keeping coming back! The vibe of this place is so cute very clean and cozy.

I ordered (2) tempura shrimp and tempura vegetable dinners from there (like I have done for (3) years, once a week)--- when I arrived for pick-up, only (2) was ready, When they proceeded to make the other one (25 minutes later), the first order was already cold and the coating was limp on the shrimp AND Vegetables--the second part of the order also had limp coatings, making the meal unsavory--they comped me (supposedly (1) meal, so I ordered (2) more dinners a week later--they comped me $3,22 for the (2) dinners I had purchased and lost--the NEW dinners were the same as before--limp, soggy coating on entire meals

Look, let's be 100% honest. This is Winter Haven so you aren't getting sushi like in California or Hawaii. That being said, this sushi is fresh, the service is fantastic, and we haven't had anything we didn't like. It's basic. Not a super fancy date night ambiance but it is great food and great service. We have also gotten take out and we're impressed. Well packaged and great for a night in.

A quaint little Gem in DT Winter Haven. Service was outstanding and the food was very good!! I had sushi and he had teriyaki and we were both pleased with our food. It was also nice to have a different Japanese experience from your typical hibachi and teppanyaki. We arrived at 4, so it wasn't yet busy but I can see how parking might be a challenge during high-volume times. The only other draw back was the restroom situation. It's a shared facility in the connected hallway to the other shops, which you have to navigate through some items on the floor. (Much like trying to use the bathroom in a nail salon) If you are in a wheelchair or have difficulty walking, you may want to go before you come here.

Unconscious basis: Horrible service and below par food. Waiting for a waiter or waitress for 10 minutes after being asked to sit at one of three tables available. Another patron female of European descent walked in greeted with menu and water within seconds. Salmon was cooked extra rare by the way. With uncooked teriyaki sauce. Waste of money!

From the time we entered, to the time we left, the service & friendliness was exceptional. Very welcoming atmosphere. We ordered 4 different sushi rolls & loved every one. Presentation was spot on! We plan on going back in a couple of weeks!

One of the best sushi places we've found with lots of variety. We've eaten sushi in NYC and Boston due to travel and this place rates on the "very good/repeater" in our minds. Their servers are fast and offer extras like sauces you might not thing of. The ambiance is traditional and comfortable. We get take out but also enjoy eating in because it's fresher if you eat it right away. No complaints here just compliments because they work hard to keep us happy.

One of the finest sushi restaurants I've ever been too the food was outstanding the service extra special the chefs and staff were exceptional the only thing bad was the side walk was under construction by the city but no problem getting in I will definitely be going back

This is a brand new restaurant in downtown Winter Haven, FL. Walking in, the staff is extremely pleasant and eager to get you seated. We had the spicy tuna roll, which tasted pretty much the same as any other sushi place. We also had the hamachi fresh roll, which was delicious. There are 60 different specialty rolls on the menu, which is awesome. We also had the steak yaki-soba, wasn't anything special, have had better at other places. Overall, this is very clean, the staff is pleasant, their service is good, and the food overall is good. We will likely visit again.

This is an outstanding restaurant. We have visited several times. They provide a nice, semi-romantic Japanese atmosphere. The restaurant and restrooms are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a great location for lunch or dinner with plenty of nearby boutique shops. The food quality is excellent and fresh. The menu is absolutely huge. We love the appetizers, tempura, nigiri, maki, uramaki, and sashimi are all tasty and well-presented. The price is about right for the portion-sizes. Our favorite is the Haven Roll. It's one of the best!

Just checked out this place last night and the sushi was great. My sister and I split 4 rolls, and my favorite was definitely the volcano roll. We also got two bowls of miso soup which came right after we ordered. The service was great and our waitress was very nice. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town!

Cozy, hidden gem in Winter Haven. Fresh and tasty sashimi and sushi. Generous portions with reasonable prices. The icing on the cake is the welcoming and friendly staff. We were instantly pleased and plan to become regulars.

Always come here for the best sushi I've ever had. I can't tell you a place that tops this quality. This particular time I did come in. I had Angel as a server and when I tell you her name matches her so well! She is by far one of the best servers I've ever encountered in life. She goes above and beyond, her mannerisms is out of this world, informative and all around exceptional. I will continue to come back just for her! The variety of sushi rolls is amazing. Krab rangoon is freshly prepared there this is a must get every time. This establishment has a soft ambiance.

Edamame with lime and garlic is delish. Service is always helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.

The food was AMAZING. However, the service was disappointing. We sat down and asked for a few minutes and maybe after ~7 minutes we were ready, our server sat at the front of the restaurant for a while before coming back to check on us and went to walk away and we stopped her telling her we were ready to order. We ordered vegetable tempura at the beginning and never received it and it was still on the bill. We also requested fried cheesecake as a dessert to be ready by the time we were finished and it was not done nor even started when we got the check and again it was on the check. The server took the check and did not return for 10 minutes until I had to go ask for everything we needed from another server. The service was awful entirely especially after not getting a few items we were excited to try.

Very good food and service was amazing! I only got the steak teriyaki but there was a wide variety of good options on the menu. Great service, great place!

This is our first vist to Tsukiyomi Sushi! The sushi chef was "terrific" and the sushi was fresh and delicious! We ordered individual pieces + 2 rolls including the Electric Eel Roll & Hot Summer Roll. Our drinks included Sapporo beer and Nogori Sake. We sat at the sushi bar and no waiter approached us for at least 15 min. And, after we finally placed our drink order, our waiter's follow-up for our food order was very slow. We will return again, but perhaps at a different day & time as this sushi restaurant was very busy. Maureen

This was our first time trying this restaurant. The service was amazing, everything tasted so good. The place is small but it's so cute. The only thing we didn't like was the prices (what we ordered). We've been to a lot of places to try new sushi around Florida, but in this restaurant the sushi rolls were too small for the price. Overall, everything was good.

I have no doubt that Tsukiyomi Sushi is the #1 Japanese restaurant in this small, but expanding city of Winter Haven. They greet you as soon as you get in the door and will have you seated quickly if they aren't too busy. The service is quick and precise, and if you can't figure out what you want, the staff is happy to make recommendations. If you have ANY food allergies, they accommodate you as well. This is my favorite sushi restaurant and I can't see that changing anytime in the near future.

Sushi was terrible it was dry not only that but the 17.50 chicken teriyaki Was dry with burnt fried rice.

Clean looking restaurant. Ordered for pick up and food was ready 10min before earliest estimated pick up time. sushi tasted good but very small portion for the price. Almost thought i was walking out with bag of air and container. i don't eat much to get full but $40 worth of sushi and still hungy. iv'e ate sushi from many places and this was the most expensive i had for the amount.

While service was a little slow, they were very busy tonight and so it was not too much of an issue. The sushi was amazing! The rolls were beautiful and the Queen Roll was outstanding! The nigiri was fresh and delicious! We've found our new go-to sushi house! This place is a gem!

Our third visit to Tsukiyomi - the sushi is always great, but the service could be better! Very slow getting our appetizers, the server never came back to ask how our rolls were or to refill our drinks (same server as last visit) and not in a rush to get our check-out completed. Think we will go to Tsunami in Lakeland for a change.

Me and two neighbors have been coming here every week or two for a couple months. Very good sushi and service. Today they made me an Ahi Tuna Poke' which isn't even on the menu. It was delicious and almost too much to eat. Our top sushi choice for Winter Haven.
