Came into this adorable sandwich shop during the peak of a car event along with Sand fest. During the lunch rush, it wasn't too bad to place an order. A sandwich does come with a bag of chips at no extra charge. I ended up getting a bowl of clam chowder which was good. It wasn't my favorite, but the chowder itself was buttery and full of clams. The chowder was on the thinner side than what I would like. The sandwich I had lacked a little of the deli mustard which made the sandwich taste dry. Otherwise, I would enjoy to try their other sandwiches they have available.

Food was good, great customer service. We shared a sandwich and they served it split on two plates without us asking. Very nice servers. Oh yeh ice cream was super... thanks.

We got there slightly before close but they still served us promptly. Food was good. Got the clam chowder and my wife got a tall chicken sandwich. Nothing amazing but it's right by the beach so it was easy access when we were hungry.

Love this place! Always on point. Wish the Doordash allowed you to order beverages for delivery. Unfortunately it has two kids meals listed under the "beverages" tab.

Every time I visit Seaside, I try to stop at Tsunami Sandwich! Sooooo good! They are kind, professional, and serve a mean sammie and bag of chips! Thank you! 😊💜🥪

The sandwich it self was a good flavor but for 15$ the sandwich was not worth it. I got a hot and cold sandwich and the hot one was only toasted it was the only thing hot about it and tbh for 15$ they don’t give you that much meat at all. It’s maybe 4 slices of meat. You would think tsunamis sandwiches would consider of a big stuffed sandwich but no it was pretty thin. For 15$ your better if making a sandwich at home with your own ingredients. The services was nice and the lady was nice but really a 15$ hot sandwich and the only thing different from the other is toasted bread which adds about 2-3$ more than a cold sandwich really not worth the money.

The best was the clam chowder, which is Ivan’s and probably comes frozen. The sandwich was good. But it was not amazing. The service was far from welcoming. I was not impressed. I expected more from them.

This is our 5th time to Seaside and first stop in Tsunami. After "surviving" our first tsunami advisory the kids decided we should try this local gem. Located at the end of the Strip, this place is hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of the beach but the staff is friendly and the beer is cold. This place has a definite beach vibe and a smartly put together menu. The sandwiches are packed full of goodness, so come try this awesome local joint!

We finally came to Tsunami Sandwich place as it's not far from our VRBO. I got the Stormwatcher sandwich and was it ever good. It had turkey and bacon and cheese and red onions and mustard, the flavors were pretty awesome and I got me a bag of doritos and a Jones pop. Such an awesome little place here and there's more they offer here, if you're going to be in Seaside Oregon come on down to the Tsunami sandwich shop and grab a bite to eat you won't regret it.

Great name, great location, and the best chili hands down. My sandwich was fresh and delicious. I was going to order a different soup, but the employee said it was not at temperature yet. Having worked in the service industry for years, I loved his comment because that means they care about quality and safety. I will definitely come back.

Sandwich was awesome to take to the beach. It's SOOOOOOO good. The food did take a little bit to come out.

We were looking for a quick bite to eat. Ordered a Lewis and Clark and a Stormwatcher sandwich. Both were good but very expensive for what you get. Two people behind the counter taking orders and making the sandwiches. The service was a bit slow and seemingly (to us) a bit on the disinterested side. The store front restaurant was nicely kept with an old school colorful vibe.

We love this place they have something for the whole family. The service is always really good. And the sandwiches never disappoint!

We were looking for something simple and I was craving a sandwich. I ended up getting a "hot" sandwich which had turkey and provolone (and other sandwich toppings) with gluten free bread. It was really tasty and I enjoyed it. Husband got the chili dog, which he said was really good. He has a health issue which prevents him from eating corn, so that was a bummer to see a lot of corn in the chili but he ate around it. He said it was a good quality hot dog as well and overall was really happy with it.

Good sandwich but little on the pricy side. About 40% price increase from 4 years ago. Could have a better chip selection. They only had Cheetos, regular Doritos, and Fritos. No sink or bathroom available to guest but they'll direct you down the street to the state park's public Restoom. Don't bother tipping as you're bussing your own tables. They sell beer so that's nice.

The Surfer's Cove was delicious! Perfect sandwich for a picnic on the beach. My hubby ordered the Saddle Mountain. We will definitely be back!

The space is SMALL like 5 tables max and since its so close to the beach most of them tend to be occupied. Since its order at the counter -there is a high chance your food might come and you have nowhere to sit. It would be a better idea if the staff can let people know that its better to order to-go In those cases . The menu heavily focusses on sandwiches and there is quite a variety but the veggie options are limited . We ordered Hot Chick, Tall Chicken , Clam chowder bread bowl and Sand Dollar . The sandwiches were delicious. The sourdough that comes with the clam chowder was great . The sandwiches come with either a chips or soup option but they charge you extra for the soup option . Staff is not the friendliest but they are efficient .

Ordered the tsunami pastrami Sandwhich, they were out of rye bread so had to get on sourdough. Sandwhich was good, came with a lot of deli meat. Pretty expensive for a sandwhich, not sure I would order again.

PRICEY Wanted to grab a quick bite and remembered this place last time I was here, so I decided to have it again. The staff was extremely friendly and was trying to joke with everyone. I ordered a Surfers Cove. The sandwich came out quickly. The sandwich was not anything unique as you could easily replicate it at home. Overall, it is not worth the price.

While the service and Sandwiches were wonderful, I was somewhat surprised that the employees were handling and preparing the food without gloves. In particular, a woman was off to the side slicing meat with a meat cutter and then grabbing hands full of meat and stuffing it into gallon bags. Gloves should be required for such work as she was touching the counter and other surfaces between bagging the meat!

I am very particular about pastrami sandwiches. Theirs is excellent, the best I have had on the west coast in a long time. I don't know why people complain about the price. They sell it compatible with the market price.

Stopped by Seaside to see where Lewis & Clark reached the ocean. Wanted to grab some sanwhiches. Def a mom & pop shop. We had the reuben. They were awesome and accommodating.

Overpriced and average at best. If you enjoy microwaved clam chowder from a can and mediocre sandwiches, this is the spot. Paid 35$ for 2 sandwiches and a drink then got upcharged 4$ for substituting bacon for salami? You're better off saving your money and getting a Safeway sandwich.

We were hungry and started YELPing to find a nearby lunch spot that provides takeout. Tsunami was close by, had decent reviews and a great menu - and boy they did not disappoint! We placed our order online, had HOT food in 10 minutes and was delicious!! I had their Hot Pastrami sandwich and my wife had the 1/4 lb all-beef hot dog (no bun). Fresh, yummy and with extra condiments. Lastly, the place is super cute inside and the wait help was super friendly. I hope to come back soon.

The sandwiches are mediocre, the employees were rude, and they have no restroom facilities (which I thought was illegal for a restaurant). They directed us to walk a couple blocks down to the dirty, disgusting, beachfront public bathrooms (which have no soap or warm water). I recommend going elsewhere, especially if you have children... or would just like to adequately wash your hands before eating.

The best sandwiches you will find in Seaside. We were concerned this would be a touristy mediocre sandwich company but we decided to get a few sandwiches to go because we were driving back to Seattle. These are easily some of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. The ingredients are of high quality, the portions are generous, and they were quite tasty. Everyone at the store was super friendly and nice. Plus, they have Tillamook ice Cream! the chocolate chip and Oregon Strawberry are fantastic flavors. Highly recommended!

This place is SO good! Amazing sandwiches and service. I was going to come back again, but the restaurant was intermittently closed due to the winter weather. I definitely want to come back soon though

the guy working at the counter was so incredibly rude. the sandwiches are overpriced and DRYYYYY and no one should pay any amount of money let alone $7 for canned clam chowder. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE ever go here. I was really taken aback by how rude this man was not only to me but to several other customers while i was there. it's crazy that this place can stay in business. Rude, rude, rude. I will never be back and actively campaign against this place. If you're in the service industry (as i am!) you need to figure out how to be nice, it's literally the most important part of the job, especially if your foods gonna be horrid

food was good, however Shannon is extremely rude. she complained when my service dog that's training came in then i started getting an alert from my dog licking my hand and jumped on my lap as i was sitting. and she yelled from behind the bar SERVICE DOGS DONT SIT ON LAPS. and I mean YELLED. actually he doea, hes learning to alert me for my seizures. Dont be rude and embarrass me in front of everyone. my dog is well behaved and trained and that was unnecessary and uncomfortable. I will not be coming back here ever because she was outright rude.

I'm not a fan. Went by Saturday at 5:25pm and they were already closed. Posted hours are until 7pm. Tried again Sunday at 3:15 and they were closing at 3:30, what the heck? We weren't impressed with our soup or sandwiches, but the ice cream tasted good.

We always love going to tsunami sandwiches when we're in the area. The food is just really well done. The guy that works there maybe the owner may be the manager I don't know what he is but he's not very friendly so my advice is order something using their app go pick it up and walk out so you don't have to deal with him. But maybe you like gruff and borderline rude if so, go ahead and order from him have fun.

Sandwich was very good. Enough to share. Chowder was very warm and satisfying. Service was excellent. Clean and very busy.

This was a cute little place in the heart of the seaside strip. They seem to get a lot of foot traffic. Sandwhiches are great. I see some complaints about the kids menu. But I think kids menus are meant for younger kids with no sophisticated palates. So you ask for a grilled cheese and you're literally going to get cheese and bread. I actually welcome that because my kid is a picky eater. The menu wasn't overwhelming. Good choices. I would come here again.

Nicely made sandwiches and soups. A bit pricy. Should have senior sizes. Went twice, cold sandwiches better than hot. Worth a chance!

Lacks customer service there rude not welcoming first time there horrible experience never will come back I give it a 1 out of 5 a zero if they had an option. Poorly in handling food younger guy touching his face used his bare hands no gloves to served the customers food that was before us it was unbelievable experience slow & called out the wrong name & took forever.

Overpriced for stale bread and fatty, greasy pastrami. $15 maybe for Boars Head meat, but not for what's being served here. My friend got the cream of broccoli soup that was quickly tossed down the sink. HUGE disappointment.

Got sandwiches to go last weekend after catching live music by the water with our toddler. They were tasty and my kiddo loved the grilled cheese. Multiple people in the long line said it was worth the wait and they were right. Ordering online saved us from waiting in the line, so that was nice!

Terrific sandwich shop! Friendly employees and wide menu offerings. We split the Tsunami Pastrami and it plenty for the two of us. Very tasty clam chowder as a side. The sandwich was the drip down the arm kind of yummy!

I shared Tsunami pastrami sandwich but got my own cup of ivar's clam chowder, sandwich was good, a lot of pastrami, not too salty and horseradish mustard added little sourness, marble rye was soft but held well with the meat. Clam chowder was good favor and good ratio of clam and potato.

The man at the front counter is actually, quite rude. I work in the service industry and I was surprised by how the light in his eyes leave as new customers enter his store for the first time. At first, I wondered if he was just bothered by me and my friend who entered the store and wanted to try and order on the "order now" screen. (In which he interrupted and asked us to read the menu above in a condescending tone. Which, why would you have an order now screen if you don't want your customers to use it.) The food is fine, and everything came out quickly and hot. So that's great. I'm just in shock by how rude he is to everyone who isn't a regular in this store. Congrats on the promotion though, sir!

Terrible experience. Walked into the place to look at the menu and was immediately met with resistance by one of the employees. She said "you know we have a menu right?" and also sneered at us as we left. All we wanted was to look at the menu. 0/10 would not recommend going regardless of food.

Male older cashier with beard was extremely rude and looked annoyed that they had customers. Constant rolled his eyes at customers. Other staff seemed nice. Couldn't imagine working with someone who hates customers that much.

We were excited and had read ahead about gluten free options at this restaurant for my son with celiac disease. It was busy when we arrived with a line out the door. The owner asked us keep the doorway clear and form a line wrapping around the front of the building which we were fine with. Soon, customers kept moving past us to join the line inside, and about 4 times we had to yell to them that the line was outside. Finally we decided to step inside the business and stand to the sides of the door so we didn't block the doorway but wouldn't lose our place in line. The owner came back from behind the counter to yell that he'd already told us to wait outside. We explained that customers kept cutting past us. He said, "I've seen every one of them walk out afterward and you can feel free to leave the business."

We've been to the Tsunami Sandwich Company twice now, and both times have really enjoyed our lunches. Today, my wife got Tsunami pastrami sandwich, andI got the Stormwatcher (turkey, bacon, cheese, tomato) sandwich. Both of us got a cup of chowder as well. Both of our sandwiches were terrific, and the chowder was ok too. So, if you are looking for a good quick lunch in Seaside, I do recommend Tsunami Sandwich! [ To the guy who invented zero: Thanks for nothing! ]

Service: The African American cashier was super friendly .. can't say the same for the lady who gave my food. Food review: got me sick ! The clam chowder ! Gross !!!! Never gain and the super overpriced kid sandwich ha sham and cheese for like $4-$5 bucks . Not even my dog wanted the clam chowder . Save ur money. First time & last time.

This place is great has a great selection of sandwiches and Tillamook ice cream. The service is really good here as well. Due to Covid no fountain drinks or cups of water. However they do offer bottled drinks. It was about $50 for the five of us. And it's very limited seating inside.

Great food and quick service. Bread bowls were $10 and i loved the taste of the chowder.

It was pricey! The kids sandwiches were pretty plain only meat and cheese and $6 . The bags of chips were TINY. My chicken sandwich was awesome. My husband had a gluten free sandwich which was good but the gluten free bread was probably Costco store bought bread which is not the best. Would probably return to just buy mystt Er if the chicken sandwich but wouldn't spend money for the gluten free one or the kids ones.

For the same price, would you rather be impressed or merely satisfied? Easy answer, right? The only problem is geography. We spend a fair amount of time at the Oregon coast and one of our recent discoveries for a beach picnic was Seasons Cafe and Deli in Cannon Beach. We ordered six sandwiches for our group, all different, and each received a great review. Two weeks later, our activities were based in Seaside, so Tsunami got our business. The sandwiches were... just OK. The positives: ** Location is fantastic. Located just steps from the Seaside Promenade on Broadway, if you are already set up on the beach, it is an easy walk to pick-up food. ** Speed. On a busy holiday weekend, my order was ready within a couple minutes. They bang it out. I can't bring myself to put the menu in the positive category. Although they have a decent selection of hot and cold sandwiches with cute local names (Stormwatcher, Beach Bum, Hot Chick, Summer Breeze), it is pretty basic deli fare. The only thing slightly interesting is that some sandwiches are served on Marble Rye, not something you see every day. However, I didn't particularly enjoy it paired with my sandwich choice (Saddle Mountain). Most sandwiches are in the $8 - 9 range, with hot dogs and sausages between $6 - 8. Each order comes with a bag of chips (your choice from six, mostly Doritos). They also have a Tillamook ice cream counter for dessert. Back to geography. Seaside isn't my favorite place to hit the beach or dine, so in comparison to its neighbors, I'll give Tsunami three stars. For Seaside, it is fine. But, there are better beaches and delis out there.

Ok, so I LOVE their ice cream and I LOVE their sandwiches they were super good and I really want to come back, I HAVE to try their ice cream again
