They have great lunch deals here! The Thai dumplings and vegetables soup were delicious! Thai tea was super authentic and spicy drunken noodles had the wok taste and was good as well!

My partner and I both really enjoyed our entrees at Tue last night. I got the pumpkin curry, and my husband ordered the pad se ew. Both were delicious. My curry was packed with fresh veggies and a delicious, robust curry. The service was also very good. We definitely recommend Tue for hearty Thai cuisine.

Been here probably a dozen times always delivers a solid meal. Cute basic place nice outdoor seating, their pad.thai is a good balance of flavors and they get the noodle texture correct every time… Also, I’ve had just vegetable dishes with tofu and they keep them fresh and tasty always reliable

If you’re walking by this spot, you’d probably miss it. The subtle exterior hides the inviting interior with a sort of false wall in front of the windows. I’m so happy I gave it a shot. I want something delicious and different from the Italian and pizza I’ve had lately. The Spicy Crispy Basil Fish did just that. Smothered in veggies with loads of perfectly cooked, lightly batter fish, and a heat I could taste but didn’t overwhelm, I’m walking away from here with a satisfied smile. Now I’m going to walk for like 20 blocks to try to make room for dinner tonight.

TUE Thai is a small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and decent food. The menu has a large selection of popular Thai foods, including dry and soup noodle options. Food comes out relatively quickly and service staff are friendly. The portion and serving sizes are adequate for a single person and I did not feel hungry after the meal. Overall a nice small Thai restaurant that is worth checking out if you are in the area and looking for food.

Delicious Thai food, reasonable prices, large portions, and friendly staff. This is my second time here. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. Highly recommend the spicy drunken noodles and papaya salad. You can choose the meat of almost every noodle, rice, and curry, so this is a great place for vegetarians if you want them meatless. The service was quick and the waiters checked on us often. We went during lunch time so it wasn't crowded, which I preferred since the restaurant is a little small.

Very decent Thai food for even better prices. The flavors are fairly authentic and not very different compared to actual Thai food. My main complaint is the lack of heat, there was nothing at all not even a bit of pepper hint. When I come back, I will definitely ask if they are able to provide Thai spicy.

Cute spot, service is average speed but the staff is nice. Only one bathroom makes sense but a bit annoying if busy due to the line that tends to form. The food itself is good with large portions for the price. I like that they have like little specials and will give to recommendations based on if you like spice or not. Also the bamboo shoots in the curries are actually good which is a huge bonus.

I'm honestly shocked this place isn't rated higher but I do see many rating scores on the 3s to 4.5 but I can only speak to my own experience Found this gem on our way home and got off the subway and we wanted some good asian food And the ambiance was happening and fun and the food was delicious I had the pad Thai and a cocktail which was yummy! Portions were perfect Service was great!

Quick minimal frills service. Very quick to top water. Tables are tight but makes for more seating inside. Food is good but not super memorable. Great for a casual dinner or sit down lunch.

I'd rate this at 3.5 stars for food, and 5 for service and 3.7 decor. My friends and I met here right before the holidays to catch up with one another because our one friend lives around the corner and could meet during lunch. The restaurant itself isn't anything fancy, but I like the tree and foliage decor they did. The service was good and our server was able to answer questions about the dishes and what we could order without fish sauce since two of us were vegetarian. We all did the lunch special. My friends liked their soup and I did the salad which was your basic salad with peanut sauce. The lunch special is a great deal - soup or salad, app, and an entree. I also ordered a Thai iced tea, it was alright. I ended up getting the green curry, but it was a bit flat on flavor on very one-note. My friend enjoyed his noodle dish and my other friend ordered a chicken dish he seemed to enjoy as well. I wouldn't seek this place out on my own, but if I lived in the area I might try ordering from there again.

Delicious Thai food! I used to frequent Thailand when I lived in Malaysia so I'm usually very picky with pad thai. Their pad thai is very moist and flavorful, something that's missing in most pad thai's in America. The crab fried rice was also very moist and flavorful. The satay chicken was a little dry. Crab rangoon was delicious and had more dimension than just cream cheese and imitation crab. The service was friendly and very accommodating to our big group. The decor was very lovely and relaxing too! They had heaters inside for the cold weather. I'd definitely come back!

The best lunch special I have had in awhile- it came with an entree, appetizer and salad (or soup) plus you can either dine in or take out which I love! The service was awesome and the interior was so nice and warm. They also had sake-based alcoholic drinks on the HH menu and they were fantastic!! Soo good and still very strong. Love it here and will definitely be back.

TUE Thai is a great example of Yelp reviews being right-on and Google reviews being misleading. This is probably the most mediocre Thai restaurant in the Village. Luckily, even when Thai food isn't great, it's still pretty good. Prices are okay but portions of protein were skimpy and the freshness of the duck was debatable. The inside of the restaurant smelled putrid.

Hole in the wall Thai spot for typical Thai eats. Service is speedy but the overall ambiance is not anything special but this is what you get with a small eatery. For apps we had the Thai dumplings and the fried calamari. Calamari was good but thin and slightly tough. Sauce was delicious. I didn't love the dumplings. The meat was tough for sure and they were not proportioned well. My friend had the paella while I had the drunken noodles with the homemade short rib. The paella was SO good. The rice contained notes of ginger and the shrimp was not overcooked whatsoever nor the octopus. The drunken noodles were tasty, but the short rib was incredibly hard to eat and inconsistent throughout the dish. Some were tough, some were soft. But overall it was hard to eat the pieces but I pushed through. It was also mostly dry. Don't recommend that choice of protein. The raspberry cosmo was tasty but very thick and had a strong smell and taste of lime juice ( I know this is an ingredient, but it was stronger than usual in a cosmo). I was satisfied with my experience but wouldn't circle back here right away without exploring my other options in the area.

I visited this place alone on a Tuesday for their lunch special. The interior is really cute with a decent number of tables. I ordered the red curry with chicken as main, and fried tofu as my appetizer, with an add-on of Thai iced tea. The red curry was flavorful, which isn't surprising since it's my go-to dish at any Thai restaurant--it's hard to get it wrong. The prices are very reasonable, and there were quite a few others dining solo for a quick lunch. The service was decent, but nothing noteworthy. One of the waitress seemed a bit impatient, and although she was wearing a mask, her demeanor gave off an impression of indifference- or some would say- a rbf. I didn't take it personally, but it did impact the experience slightly, so I'd knock a star off for that. Overall, it was an okay experience--not bad, but nothing particularly memorable considering there are so many other Thai restaurant choices in the city.

Great little Thai place in the West Village! Went with a couple people for a quick dinner after a whole afternoon of walking around and enjoying Chelsea/Greenwich. It was just what we needed to recharge and refuel to keep our evening going! Two of us got Pad See Ew- so good! I stole some from my friend because I can't resist. Noodles were the right consistency and had a good amount of flavor and sauce. The tofu was great- not fried but also not too soft. I had yellow curry because thats my go-to. It was spicy (I have low tolerance) but with water I was able to finish it no problem. The only issue I had were the red peppers were undercooked and a bit raw for my taste. Otherwise enjoyable! Service was quick and friendly, and we sat outside to enjoy the perfect early summer evening. Out front has sidewalk seating right next to Olio E Piu, so the vibes are great and you don't feel exposed at all.

Food is good enough, lunch special is solid. Great for students and one of the more affordable spots in the 'hood.

Great Thai restaurant that you might miss from the outside looking in. Small intimate setting perfect for dinner with friends. My party of 5 got seated super fast (no wait on a Wednesday evening). We got the papaya salad expecting something small but it was huge! Great portions. I also ordered a Thai iced tea and a bug flew into it and the waiter immediately got me a new one. Also ordered one of their spicy noodles -- everything was delicious. Prices were super good. Highly recommend for someone looking for Thai food in the area :)

Didn't love that the tofu was just cut up tofu blocks. Really prefer the texture of fried tofu. The noodles were pretty decent though. Wasn't the best i've ever had but good enough and the service is great. The fresh ginger juice is great.

Decent sized portions for the price. We got the 2 orders of the Lunch Special to share, the Pad See Ew and the Massaman Curry. Both came with a small salad and an appetizer, we went with egg rolls for one and the fried tofu for the other. I guess maybe I'm used to a sweeter sauce with a Pad See Ew, but it was a bit bland (only a hint of saltiness) for my liking. The Massaman curry was great though. For all the Thai selection in NYC, the food didn't really stand out. I'll give them points though for the portion/price ratio ($12/13 for each set, which is pretty good). Would come back again.

We stopped in after a long day of wandering the city and throughly enjoyed our dinner. The cocktails were delicious, the drunken noodles with beef was excellent, and we really appreciated that the server asked us about allergies and confirmed that what we had chosen was indeed pork-free. Thank you for a lovely end to our day!

Update 2024. I Just ate there yesterday. I was looking forward to the lunch special. They're still listing it on they're menu and online but never updated to say it's only on weekdays. Or takeout on weekends only. If you're going to change this in the menu , add a note or disclaimer. It's just not good business practices for the consumer. Kind of like bait and switch tactic. Very disappointing !

We stopped by for lunch after church on Sunday. Yelpers - check in! You get a free Thai iced tea. I ordered the pumpkin curry with pumpkin and I was very disappointed. I barely finished. My boyfriend's dish with stir fry and duck was delicious and so flavorful.

Very disappointing food that is overpriced. The noodle in soup was tepid, at best, and the Thai paella like dish in clay pot was about 90% rice with few other ingredients. We used to go there quite often but hadn't for years. I stopped with a guest from out of town in early evening for a quick dinner but was embarrassed by the poor quality of food.

Just ordered drunken noodles with mock duck and Bangkok style fish cakes for delivery via Grubhub. Both items arrived freshly made, hot and quickly. I thought the prices were very fair and am enjoying this food very much. I will definitely order again and dine in, sometime. I recommend it.

The lunch special is very much worth its price. The portions are large, and while it is not the best quality, it is still a good place to just eat lunch. The thai tea is a bit sweet though. The place is also a bit small, taking the food "to-go" would not be a disservice.

(4.5 stars) This place was an absolute find. For lunch/dinner before a show in the village, I'd highly recommend it. Prices are reasonable, portions are surprisingly large, food is clearly prepared fresh to order, flavors are all there, and spicy actually means spicy. Loved the chicken fried rice and the pad see ew. The vegetable spring rolls were tasty, but sadly just didn't care for the dipping sauce.

I had a beef salad, which was doused in something wet and tasteless - nothing at all like dressing. It contained heaps of equally tasteless beef and a measly handful of lettuce. Probably they have other, stronger menu options, but I found very few "non-noodle" dishes that weren't fried. Not enough tasty salad options for me.

Went here on a weekday night and the service was great! But I just wasn't a fan of the food. Maybe it was an off day or something but the flavors in the Tom Yum were lacking, making it pretty bland. The dumplings were okay so that was nice.

Solid local Thai restaurant near a crowded bar area. We had mussaman curry and red curry, both good. My only complaint was that when I ordered a cocktail the waitress bought me something that tasted very wrong. I didn't say anything as was happily chatting to my friend. She returned about half an hour later and said she realized she gave me something incorrect- very strange as I hadn't complained, but also had not drunk it. Wonder what prompted her to realize. Sign by the door in comedy English implying that want you to give them your credit card if dining outside, "to avoid unpayment issue".

I love Thai food and eat it often. Came here since it is close to the spa that I frequent and got their Thai iced tea and chicken massaman curry as takeout. This was prob the worst Thai curry in my life. I usually really love this curry and will eat every last bit but I struggled to even get half way through. The soup felt watery and the flavors felt off. There was a sour taste that I couldn't get past and it was missing that bold punch that curry gives you. Disappointed so I probably won't be trying anything back here again.

Great service but salad and sides can be better. Ordered the chicken lunch pad thai combo, pad thai was good, chicken was a bit overcooked but ok, spring rolls were hard, salad tasted a bit funky. Not sure if it was the dressing but that was a no for me. The Thai iced tea was good until I saw black dots in there and the most important thing was no straw was provided.

I have been coming to Tue.since 2010. Today I ordered Massaman and Tom Yum Kha. No flavor. None. In the past, I can see where I have been at fault, asking for mild. Today my order had no requests to be mild, one star spiciness, nothing. Massaman. BLAND. Tom Yum Kha. BLAND. I used to love this restaurant. Awful.

Food: 3/5 - beef was severely overworked in a beef salad, taste like burnt Jerky. Cleanliness 1/5 - the entire restaurant stinks like the sewer. Unacceptable. I would've walked out if I weren't with companies.

food was good and the service was alright. it was weird because we dined as a party of 2 but one of the entrees came out so much faster than the other. I've been here twice and both times we got 2 entrees and both times they did not come out together (probably 5-10 min apart which wasn't the biggest deal) the drunken noodles had very little chicken also. good casual space and it wasn't super loud or anything!

Food: 3.5/5 Decided to stop by because they have a cute little outdoor seating area. My friend and I needed to kill time so we decided to give this place a try. We ordered the crispy duck salad, edamame, sauvignon blanc and a rosé. The crispy duck salad was fresh and very refreshing! Perfect for a light snack. The edamame was just average. I don't think I've ever had "bad" edamame? Oh, their wine is only $5 and they have great happy hour deals though! I don't think I've tried enough of their food to give them a fair rating but this would be a great potential happy hour spot. Service: 4/5 Considering we sat outside, the service was great. They checked in on us repeatedly and made sure we were ok. Ambiance: 3/5 Cute outdoor seating area. The inside is modern and casual but there's only one (messy) restroom for the whole establishment. There's seating for approx 50+ people and one toilet. Bummer.

This is a great place to get a awesome meal and their lunch specials are great as well. Today we decided to eat outside get a little bit of color. I thought we would share appetizers but my husband didn't lol. The food was great. They offer spicy options.

great neighborhood and vibe, next to a bustling other restaurant packed with people, across street from lush garden and library we went inside and waitress led us to far back and tried to sit us at a weird table nestled in a tight corner..(?) i pointed to another table.. she seemed miffed, let us sit there.. glass jar on table has a plastic plant in it... why we asked for lemon for our waters, again a flustered vibe.. returned with a shotglass with one tiny lime inside.. the man behind us - next to tight corner we almost had to go into - began hacking a deathly cough, so horrible sounding i began considering exiting the restaurant but i recalled reading a raving review of the curry here just hours ago, curious as a cat.. friend asked a different waitress for another lime -- this waitress (a cheerier one) returned with a large lime slice, i squeeezed it into water and we ordered.. the 'mango tango' ($11) arrived and i began slurping at it - super fresh and yummy -- rather slender tho -- meanwhile friend's thai tea was giant, a plus Roti curry for appetizer (recommend) -- powerful flavor -- reminded me of Indian food wwow! thankfully the ill cough man left (if you are sick Please don't go and sit in a cozy restaurant, stay home, or sit outside, don't be gross!) waitresses - esp the one who was disgruntled - were racing around at top speed - zipping and zinging thru narrow aisles.. nerve-wracking at times, slow down, chill out.. our curry entrées landed on table, smelled great - my friend's salmon slab was humongous - she gave me about a quarter of it yyammy yyamo my green curry w/ chicken was on-point -- the stickiness of rice was really nice, a couple more veggies for variety could be neat, anyway dug the big portions and complex flavors recommend the place * if warm out try grab a table in front or can be aok and cozy inside.. dessert: stroll over to nearby Van Leeuwen ice cream mmmmmm

We got the panang curry, green curry, and drunken noodle lunch specials which were a great deal! Normally they cost ~&17 each, but we got each meal with a free appetizer and salad for $11.25, and they tasted great! The curry's were very good, but my favorite was definitely the drunken noodles because the texture and flavor of the noodles is soft and chewy and really spot on! The only thing that could have been better is that the meat was a little dry/gamey, and their spring roll appetizer option turned out to be egg rolls instead. All recommend their coconut custards which are mildly sweet and have a nice mochi-like texture!

Random day walking around looking for food we decided to give this place a try. Free Thai ice tea when u check in with yelp, not bad interesting tea good taste. Drinks I tried the Lychee Love, not bad .. Hubby had a Singha good as well. Appetizers we had the Curry Puffs, yumm these were delicious nice taste, good with the dipping sauce also tried the Mozzarella shrimp rolls individually wrapped shrimp, didn't really taste any mozz but they were good. Main dishes we had Pad se ew , chicken great tasting noodles good amount of chicken also had the Pad Kra Tiem , beef the garlic pepper taste was very good , good with the lettuce comes with white rice very good in the sauce, food was good only complain it was a bit salty. Small location, they have outside seating available.. Service was good, decent prices we enjoyed our meal.

Needed to find a good Thai near the Village Vanguard with Tue Thai filling that search wonderfully. The heat wave finally broke on Sunday, with the real good 'heat' emanating out of this kitchen. Tasetful interior (there was outdoor dining, but I've never been a fan, especially with all the traffic's exhaust pipes adding to one's experience). Started off with their Green Maiden Mojito with muddled thai basil and fresh cucumbers. My son ordered the summer rolls (which he inhaled) so I guess he liked, with his entree being 'Drunken Noodles' which he said was very good. I ordered the Tom Yum soup, and it was arguably the tastiest TY I've ever eaten. The broth had a dark richness that was so good (highly recommend) with a nice heat, and plenty of fresh shrimp. I opted for the Green Curry with Shrimp which came out with an assortment of vegetables, and a sweet heat that told me I ordered right. This is a wonderful restaurant. Service was excellent as always when dines in this cuisine, and overall, I wouldn't hesitate in returning, which I just may do when I go see Bill Frisell in another week. Good stuff.

Came here because I heard that it has a great lunch special and it does!! Entree, appetizer, drink and a salad! Service was great and checked on me often! I was afraid it might be busy for lunch but got seated immediately!

Our dining experience left a bad taste because our server was disrespectful to two my friends. She rolled her eyes to one of them when my friend requested utensils or ordered additional food. Our server was so expressive with her disdain towards my friend that I was left speechless for not having been able to speak up sooner. Our server also behaved unprofessionally to my other friend who was going to use the restroom. It seemed like our server perhaps exhibited bias towards them and especially to my other friend whose gender expression is fluid. I ended up calling the restaurant to speak to their manager the next day and was instructed that they were out and that I needed to write an email which by the way does not work. I have resorted to writing a review instead and explore other options to right a wrong and uphold justice for my friends. They should not have been subjected to this humiliating behavior by the staff. I wish that they will have more training around unconscious bias and professional etiquette being in the hospitality industry. I hope that the manager will fix their contact us section so I can speak to them directly and provide additional feedback on how our experience could have been treated differently. I am hopeful that with further service training, this particular server will be more knowledgeable and skilled in maintaining professionalism. I believe that with education, people can change for the better.

I came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with a friend. They have indoor and outdoor dining. They check your temperature and you leave your contact info during COVID-19 times. There's also partitions between tables. They have a great lunch special everyday 12pm-4pm. You get soup or salad, appetizer, entrée, and a drink for $10. It's a lot of food and even the entree was a large portion. I got the vegetable soup, the Thai dumplings appetizer, the spicy drunken noodle entrée with chicken, and the Thai iced tea. The soup and dumplings were tasty. The spicy drunken noodle was actually spicy but the onions were more on the raw side. The Thai iced tea was on the sugary side. Service was fast and friendly. I would come back since the lunch special was a really good deal especially for West Village.

Cute restaurant with a great happy hour line up! Love their patio setup and their outdoor aesthetics. We ordered some calamari with our mimosas which comes in a variety of fruit flavored options. So cheap for a happy hour and would highly recommend coming to visit! We paid $40 overall for our rounds of mimosas and the appetizer. Definitely a cute spot to visit!

This is an OK Thai restaurant. The green curry is absolutely too salty which covers all the other flavors. There are much better Thai restaurants in Manhattan.

With their well-made happy hour drinks and delicious food, this place is an absolute winner. I've been a few times, and every time, the service has been excellent. I like the overall atmosphere, very warm and inviting. My ooonly comment is that some of the corner table areas aren't great. Either too close to the kitchen with a funny smell, or uneven flooring. Apart from these, overall great spot for Thai food and drinks.

I was starving when I had walked into Tue Thai and discovered the $11.95 lunch special which gets you a drink, soup/salad, one app, and an entree. I was not blown away by the entree but at the time it hit the spot for someone coming from an exercise class. I got spring rolls as my app and though tasty they were not as stuffed as I would have liked. Definitely not an even ratio of roll to the stuffed veggies. The soup was a vegetable soup of the day with nice crunchy cabbage, carrots and broccoli rabe. Giving it 4 stars for hitting the spot and the lunch special!

Taste wise 3/5 but overall experience would be a 4. They have a pretty extensive list of choices for appetizers we got the mozzarella shrimp rolls and golden fritters. The mozzarella shrimp rolls were shrimp rolls with mozzarella, definitely a cheese pull there but you couldn't really taste the cheese unfortunately. My boyfriend liked the golden fritters (think fried wontons) I wasn't a huge fan of the taste of the filling, supposedly chicken and shrimp? But they were a decent size. Both appetizers came with 4 per order. For our entrees we go beef drunken noodles and seafood basil udon. The udon noodles seems a bit overcooked. The beef in the drunken noodles were not too dry, a good portion for both. Both dishes were on the spicier side. Skip the Thai tea, very watery! The servers did come by and fill our waters as well as check to see if everything was okay throughout our meal and our food came out pretty quickly.

I've had almost everything on the menu, and the food is decent and fairly priced, especially the red snapper with chili sauce. So why the one-star review? In recent months, this has happened to me not one time, not two times, not three times, but SIX times, no exaggeration: I call on a Friday night to order the red snapper; I am placed on hold; many minutes pass; they clearly aren't coming back. I hang up, and call again and again: no answer. (And if anyone is wondering, I always tip $10, so I doubt the delivery guys have blacklisted me. And I am not just a regular customer, but a problem-free one: I have never complained or ever done anything that would merit the restaurant's anger.) I have spent many thousands of dollars with Tue Thai over the years, maybe more than $10,000. But I am now done with them. Forever. I probably should have been done with them after the third time I got inexplicably ignored. Or the fourth. Or the fifth. But the red snapper is really good.... I'm going to miss it. And I'd be surprised if the restaurant doesn't miss my $1,000+ in annual spend with them. I do want to go and ask the restaurant about this treatment face-to-face: i am generally curious what on earth is going on with whoever answers the phones at a place dependent on deliveries to survive. Once or twice I could forget about, but six times is just bizarre.

Solid Thai place. What I liked: - drinks: the Thai iced tea and cocktails were good and had nice balance - pad Thai: not too oily, nicely fried and great flavors and spices Disappointing: - stonepot rice with seafood: this was disappointing because the rice was NOT cooked IN THE stonepot! I am spoiled by authentic stonepot rice where the rice and ingredients are cooked within the stone pot so that the rice is flavorful and the bottom has crisped rice cake. Tldr; I will probably come again and try other dishes.

Service was wonderful and efficient! We came by for the lunch special, my girlfriend got the fried rice which she loved and the fried tofu which she thought was just okay. She also got the Thai coffee- delicious! I ordered the sesame chicken which was spicy and crunchy with a unique flavor that was alright, also got the spring rolls which were bomb! If you check in you can get a free Thai iced tea- I passed on that this time. Ambience was lovely and we had basically the entire inside resturant to our self and sat under the skylight- what a treat. The music playlist was BOMB! Will return, stop in for the happy hour- we enjoyed the regular Mojitos!

Outstanding curry that absolutely blew us away -- not too oily/rich, and very flavorful. Roti appetizer was also delicious -- somehow doughy and flaky at the same time, and buttery like a croissant. Although there are a million restaurants in NYC this place would be worth returning to on my next trip here (from DC). The inside of the restaurant is pretty calm, and a nice refuge from the crowds of nearby Soho. The restaurant has made an effort with cool looking dining chairs and flower boughs hanging from the ceiling. The outdoor dining in front of the restaurant also looked welcoming.

did not wait long to be sat nor did we wait long for the food. the food was very delicious and fresh. it was very cute inside, a little tight but very beautiful.

FOOD POISONING Sunday came for a happy hour wine and appetizers. Took forever for just peanut sauce dipping for food- had to ask 3 times in 20 min and the restaurant was not busy. Both of us got extremely bloated with hands swelling - they add MSG! One of us got food positing. You get what you pay for.
