"Tuk Tuk Eatery, another fast-casual entry that’ll offer an Asian menu of barbecue-topped bowls and a variety of bao, or filled buns. The 522-square-foot shop is coming in next to Mr. Moto Pizza." - Candice Woo

Google
Tuk Tuk Eatery at Seaport Village has delicious pan-Asian food and snacks. They also have amazing blended boba and my favorite -adults only boozy boba! Everything was fresh and tasty… they have plenty of seating or you can take it to go! They were friendly and food came out quickly but still hot and delicious. I really like how you can choose your own base and protein for their bowls and their tofu skewers tasted yummy with the peanut sauce. The perfect spot for food when walking around seaport village!

Went here over the summer and really enjoyed the noodles. Really reasonable prices too, considering the location. They have great veggie options. One thing to watch out for is that some random person walked up and tried to steal our food, they even started asking the cashier for extra utensils. I had to step in front and show the number on my receipt. They really should check that before handing someone the bag.

Google
So here’s my honest thoughts about this place; I was visiting San diego and just wanted a quick bite while exploring the seaport area.. I came across this place on google and decided to gove it a try. They have starters, bao buns, bowls, sweets and boba. They have so much variety for you to choose and make your own bowls. You can choose your base, protein and sauce so you can customize it to your own. One bowl I tried was the Mandarin Orange Chicken w/ soy dressed noodles.the noodles were ok. I also tried the spring rolls and wasn’t a fan.. I did like the chicken though but it was a little more sweeter than what I personally like. It was a great flavor overall. Overall its a cute place. 1 thing I dint like was there were a lot of flies around the seating area.. but again its outdoors.. but if you are on a budget.. and want to try some quick asian food.. give it a try

Google
I was thoroughly disappointed with their food. The noodles were undercooked and excessively oily. The tofu was burnt on the outside and lacked any flavor. The taro boba tea tasted like sweetened milk with a hint of flavoring. I couldn't even finish my meal, and I certainly won't return. If you're in the area, I'd recommend trying any of the other nearby restaurants instead.

Google
Thoroughly disappointed with this place. Overprices for the quality of the food. The beef bugoli was drenched in oil. Overall just gross because of the excessive oil.

Google
Tuk Tuk Eatery is new to Seaport Village. I love their concept and all the options they have there. They have starters, bao buns, bowls, sweets and boba. They have so much variety for you to choose and make your own bowls. You can choose your base, protein and sauce so you can customize it to your own. One bowl we tried was the Mandarin Orange Chicken w/ soy dressed noodles. LOVED the noodles. I did also like the chicken but it was sweeter than what I personally like. It was a great flavor and balanced out the saltiness from the noodles. We also go the beef bulgogi w/ quinoa and brown rice. LOVE that they had a healthy option. My two favorite things were the BBQ Pork Bao Bun and the Tofu Starter. LOVED the peanut sauce with the tofu. It was nice and crunchy on the outside and soft/fluffy on the inside. I definitely recommend trying out Tuk Tuk Eatery! The owner, Pepe, is super nice also. I will definitely be back.

Google
I was looking for more affordable lunch than at the nearby hotel and conference. I enjoyed this location for a healthier take on lunch. The portion was just right for lunch. The Beef Bulgogi tasted ok to me. It was not saucy. The cooked vegetables were over done, or perhaps sat around for a while. There is no choice in vegetables, only broccoli, carrots and I think green beans. I would here again, if only for the different meal than typical fried food in the area.

Alexis Delarosapina

Google
The noodles look as if they were just boiled and tossed in sauce, the bulgogi beef was over sauced, flavorless and tough, kung pao chicken was over cooked, sweet and sour shrimp barely had sauce on them. The meal looks as if it was pulled out and microwaved. I’ve had lean cuisines better than this. I’ve added photos of what they advertise vs what they serve it’s very disappointing

Yelp
Be prepared to wait for your food for a long time! Didn't realize it would take 50+ minutes to get our food (just a bowl with noodles + chicken + shrimp) after we ordered and we were not alone. Lots of people around us were waiting the same amount of time. If you are a tourist with a packed schedule, don't order here. If you are hungry, don't order here. If you have small kids, don't order here. There is a sign at the counter that asks customers to be patient as they make "fresh food, not fast food", but come on, over 50 minutes for some noodles with protein is quite a while to be making food especially for only Panda Express quality level of food. I could've driven home, made the food, and came back in the amount of time it took to get our food.

Janelly T.

Yelp
I rarely take off stars from a place but I'm so sorry I had to. The staff was very nice so definitely not the problem. The food is another story. We ordered beef bulgogi and I can tell you this was nothing like it. The huge disappointment was sad. The beef it self looked like it was cooked in a crockpot, no color and the flavors was not of beef bulgogi. I don't even know what to call it. The noodles were flavorless and a bit overcooked. Two of us were looking forward to the Kung pao chicken but gosh it taste more like a salty/adobo and spicy minced chicken. Nothing like what the actual reddish like sweet and spicy sauce is supposed to be like. So sad. The only good thing about the food was the fresh veggies. We couldn't eat our foods. We did donated to a homeless guy that very happy to get it. Definitely won't be back here. Sorry but you guys really need to do some research of how this is cooked so you do it right. The concept is good; the prices are great and you do give a ton of food but the taste is not correct and the look of it is not either.

Yelp
* Price: $12 built your own bowl (rice or noodle) with one protein and veggies, $6 Waffle sweet potatoes fries, $9 sticky chicken wings ,$7 boba. 4 stars * Ambiance: a little fast-food restaurant in Seaport village's food court. * location: Seaport village. There are shops and restaurants nearby. Good view of Coronado Bridge. A historic carousel, so fun for adults and children. Paid parking. 4 stars. * Meals: good portion. Wings are really crispy, spicy, and tasty! Noodles are not bad, though. For a fast food place, it is reasonable. 3-4 stars. * Service: good pace. Less than 10 minutes wait. 3-4 stars. We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt for work meeting and checked out the village. We just wanted to grab something simple and found the food court at the Seaport village. There are varieties of food options here. Tuk tuk eatery has a good menu and reasonable price. Built-your-own bowl with one protein for $12, 2 proteins for $14, and 3 proteins for $16, with rice or noodles and veggies. We got Bulgogi beef with noodles, Mongolian beef with rice, waffle fries, and sticky wings. The portion is generous. Both beef dishes are decent flavors. No thrill or fancy. Wings are really yummy! I think people are pretty harshed with their reviews for this place. It is a small fast-food restaurant in a touristy area... not a fine dining or asian fusion foodie place!

Tiffany N.

Yelp
I didn't get to try their other menu items, but my sister and I wanted some boba milk tea. We ordered the thai tea which is a little sweeter than most places I'm used to like 7 Leaves, but it automatically comes with boba. It was pretty pricey, over $8, compared to typical tea shops that serve it at the same standard sizes for half the price. Luckily, it was still enjoyable. Don't forget to check in for an additional 10% off your first order. I didn't realize that was available after the fact. Very casual eatery. Just walk up, order, and sit down in public seating area.

Sarah B.

Yelp
Service was great.. unfortunately the food was lacking a bit. The fried rice wasn't fried it was basically steamed rice with soy sauce making it a bit salty and paired with the beef wasn't the best. However, after complaining of the saltiness, they did replace the bowl with white rice. So much better. The teriyaki chicken bao was lacking too. It was (not grilled) diced chicken with sauce, the flavor was okay, just needed the chicken to a the grilled or pan fried. The orange chicken was the better option of the three. Overall, it wasn't horrible.

Marc T.

Yelp
The only eatery that offers boba near my conference event in seaport village... This is getting two stars because of the quality of drinks. Other than that, the service was quick since they have boba on tap like a slushee machine at 7/11 but that really does impact the quality. I got my two orders of mango boba and taro boba for my colleague with 2 minutes. Chilled but the taste was mediocre and the pearls weren't fresh... We barely drank it but needed the sugar rush. Sitting near the venue isn't something I would recommend since there's a swam of flies above their table seating. Would definitely order something other than their drinks.

Gabi A.

Yelp
Good food especially for a food stand. Service was okay but it's not a restaurant. Took a little longer than most places to get the food but not too bad. It's at the seaport so really nice atmosphere.

Ashley C.

Yelp
I went here a few weeks ago and got a Bulgogi bowl and wings. I can't remember what flavor the wings were but they had a nice crisp to them... though I felt the flavor was lacking. however, the two people I was with, loved them. The bowl I felt was pretty basic. I have definitely had better bulgogi. This bowl seemed to be lacking the quality that I'm used to when I eat something of that sort. The service was OK as it's just a window order and wait until your number is called. However I love that you can order, pick up your food, and eat wherever you'd like. I got an Oceanside view at sunset and that was fantastic!

Yelp
Not sure if they recently upped their game, or if previous reviewers went on bad days, but my visit to Tuk Tuk was great! - PARKING - There are paid lots around the Seaport Village area - be mindful of pay stations and make sure you remember your time limit! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The only gripe I had was the environment because there were a ton of flies swarming the little corner Tuk Tuk is tucked away in. It made the eating experience less appetizing, but luckily it cleared up a little as more people walked through. Staff were very friendly and it did not take long for items to come out once we ordered. - FOOD - Sticky Wings: We got the Garlic Parmesan and Jamaican Jerk flavors - I liked the Garlic Parm more, but it tasted more like buttery Garlic than Parmesan. Jamaican Jerk has a kick to it, but there was a spice that just wasn't up my alley - still good though! The wings were very crispy on both flavors! Baos: We got the BBQ Pork and the Mongolian Beef. I preferred the BBQ Pork as it had a nice sear on the meat, and good flavor all around. The Mongolian Beef reminded me more of Bulgogi in terms of flavor, but it was still good. Bowl: We ordered the Noodles with Orange Chicken and Tofu. Their Tofu is marinated overnight in their house sauce, and it was delicious! Their Orange Chicken isn't quite the same as the flavor you find in another chain restaurant, but they do it well on their terms - similar to their wings, the Chicken pieces were crispy! I wish there was more sauce on the noodles, but still good. Boba: We got Taro and Thai Tea - I liked the Taro one more whereas my fiance liked the Thai Tea more. Their boba is pretty decent considering they aren't a boba shop! - OVERALL - I think people should give Tuk Tuk another chance - it's a small business and I'm sure they have off days as well!

Yelp
We were going around in the seaport village on the Christmas Day and really surprised that many stores were open! We decided to visit Tuk Tuk Eatery for a quick snack. We ordered their pork Bao Buns, sweet potato fries, and Thai tea boba. Definitely not authentic Asian food place. The pork Bao buns were wet at the bottom. The pork was not bad, but the presentation and execution could be better. The Thai tea wasn't really Thai tea either, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy our snacks although the sweet potatoes fries were good as expected.

Lamees A.

Yelp
Tuk Tuk Eatery was probably the worst Asian food I've ever had. They have a sign stating, "Please be patient, we make fresh food, not fast food." Let me tell you, I wish I had ordered fast food; at least you know what to expect. I had the Mongolian beef and noodles, and it tasted nothing like Mongolian beef. One star is too much for this place. I don't recommend it.

Ryan R.

Yelp
I just got the chicken teriyaki bowl and the chicken is not chewable. Seemed as if it is DAYS old. 15$ and I tipped

Jodi M.

Yelp
Ordered on Uber eats because they had a 2 for 1 deal. I ordered the Kung pao chicken and Mongolian beef. The food was INEDIBLE. The only thing I could stomach was the vegetables. The chicken was DRY and tasteless. The beef tasted like a what I'd imagine dog food tastes like. I just couldn't go on without warning people about this place.

Lillian H.

Yelp
I was really excited for the bao but then it turned out to be a major disappointment. They have a sign that says that they're not fast food and food is made to order so be patient. I appreciate that that food is fresh and made to order but they were not kidding when food will take awhile. I waited 30 minutes for my one order of bao and there was only one person in front of me. I got the char siu bao. The char siu was not authentic at all and didn't even taste even slightly like char siu. It was thick cut and very fatty meat. It's overpriced for what it is. The name is a little misleading as it sounds Thai but serves more Chinese food.

Dung N.

Yelp
Stopped by Seaport Village and wanted to try this fast casual eatery! I ordered the bbq pork bao, bulgolgi bao, a noodle and rice dish with orange chicken and sweet and sour shrimp! I also wanted to try their milk teas, so I chose the taro with boba. The drink was a bit too sweet for me though. The baos were pretty good! The bbq pork was a bit fatty for my taste. My entree was so heavy- they are very generous with their portions! With a name like Tuk Tuk, I was expecting Thai food, but it was more like Chinese food. Not bad, just not what I was expecting.

Zain N.

Yelp
@tuktukeaterysd is one of the amazing restaurants in seaport village, where you get the fresh food with beautiful sea view. loved the orange chicken so much, and the noodles with shrimp melts my hearts.

Carissa B.

Yelp
Spent nearly $9 on a boba. It was awful. Boba tasted old. Disappointed. Threw it in the trash. Only reason for 2 stars was because the person that took our order was nice and pleasant.

Leslie G.

Yelp
Really had high hopes as food looked good. Wished I yelped be fired eating here. Did based on a recommendation and now my friend owes me. Don't get me wrong it was bad, but just not good. Veggies were soggy. Really overcooked and bao buns just no flavor and texture. Mango boba was meh. The tea was good. The boba tasted old.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Staff was very nice but this was by far the worst Thai tea I've ever had. I threw the entire drink away. I almost vomited with the taste. It was mostly milk and barely any flavoring and the boba were so over cooked they all stuck together in a mush. The ice melted almost instantly. Beware that the cup lids are not very tight. Our drink was overflowing and leaked out the sides of the lid, all over our hands as I got it from the employee. When we stuck the straw in it, the lid popped off and there was so much leaking everywhere.

Keelan P.

Yelp
Beautiful surroundings, eating under the trees at Seaport. My beef bulgogi was simple, clean, and delicious over white rice with red peppers and broccoli.

Kim B.

Yelp
Bao buns: Bolgogi meat was tough, bland. Didn't taste like bolgogi. Chicken felt rubbery. The buns themselves fell apart. Service was good and fast.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Stopped here for a snack while walking around Seaport Village. I got the bulging bao buns and the green tea boba smoothie. My food came out pretty fast and tasted fresh. I loved the little pickled veggies on the bao buns. When you check in on Yelp, you get 10% off!

Cindy C.

Yelp
We ate here while on vacation. Everyone in our group ordered the teriyaki chicken with noodles. The food was very good, it just took a really long time to get our order. If you're in a hurry, this is not the place for you. If you have time to wait, the food is really tasty.

Jamie D.

Yelp
PROS: -There was rice. LOL -I like the vegan and healthy options. -Service and food was fast. -The tofu option was satisfying. Cons: -Veggies was overcooked. -I feel like they could have added maybe more of the side of veggies. Overall, I'd consider trying other items such as their apps.

Bre K.

Yelp
Super disappointed, so much sauce that tasted genuinely bad and i ordered double protein paying 18 dollars with tax and I got 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 pieces of tofu. Almost any spot in the area is better than here.

Mark P.

Yelp
Ordered a chicken noodle bowl. It was so bad I couldn't even eat it. The chicken was so tough you couldn't eat it, and the noodles were flavorless. There are many other places to eat around the area.

Michelangelo S.

Yelp
My Noodle Craving Satiated! SITREP My first time to Seaport (a delightful tourist trap!) in San Diego, and even though we had JUST arrived (and literally JUST parked), we were all starving and looking for a venue we could ravage for food! We didn't have to wait long, because Tuk Tuk Eatery ("Tuk Tuk") was the first place that we laid our hungry eyes upon! THE SETUP Tuk Tuk is a nice, clean interior counter that shares space on a section of the Seaport with several other eateries and restaurants. All we had to do (after salivating over their image-heavy menu), was order our selection! We all got an entree and a drink, and as I *hinted at*, I was ALL OVER the Noodle Options. But that wasn't the only option available - you could select from a base of: * Rice; * Salad; * Noodles (my selection) Choose your protein: * Chicken; * Beef; * Tofu (my selection) Choose your spice level (as informed from a Thai-palette): * No Spice; * Low Spice; * Medium Spice (my selection); * SPICY! [I have to admit, I'm trying to imagine a SPICY Salad - I can't... ] THE LOWDOWN The outdoor dining was nice, the food was deLISH, and for being a tourist trap, our bowls averaged no more than $10 - all in all a great afternoon dining choice, allowing our interna combustion engines to continue our toursity afternoon for another 2 HRS with energy!

Danielle B.

Yelp
This restaurant is a fantastic addition to the Seaport Village area. I grew up going with my parents and haven't appreciated it as much as an adult. Tuk Tuk Eatery is going to chance that! I ordered based off of staff's recommendations and was SO HAPPY with my choices! The shrimp is delicious. And I enjoy eating tofu once a week and this was marinated perfectly. Also, their bao buns are super yummy! I went with the bulgogi and loved it. Very flavorful (and colorful) dishes!

Emmett T.

Yelp
Tuk Tuk Eatery is another recently opened vendor in Seaport Village. The complex has brought in several new businesses to refresh their lineup of food/drink options. More debuts will be coming over the next several months. Tuk Tuk is located in the southwest cluster where Mr. Moto Pizza and Mike Hess Brewing have set up shop. It's a suite with a takeout counter where you place your order, receive a call number, and then pick up your food to-go. Asian bowls and plates along with baos were the featured items. The bowls and plates were all build your own with three steps... base, protein, and sauce. I chose two bowls with the first containing white jasmine rice, char siu BBQ pork, and spicy honey while the second had soy dressed noodles, Korean beef bulgogi, and sweet chili gochujang. The portion size of the bowls for $9.95 was decent. The char siu BBQ pork didn't look as authentic as what you find at a Chinese grocery store. It was chopped pork belly pieces that were flavored like char siu. The beef bulgogi wasn't marinaded and relied on the gochujang I picked as a sauce to give it some flavor. Although I didn't purchase any baos, the $7.99 price tag for two seemed steep compared to other places where I have purchased stuffed steamed buns. I like the concept they have at Tuk Tuk Eatery, but the execution and quality could use some improvement.

Audrey C.

Yelp
Located on the side of Margarita's and across from Marian's Fish Market. We ordered a bowl with noodles, beef galbi and sweet and spicy gochujang sauce. Plus a side of sweet potato waffle fries. The bowl came out looking scrumptious but sad to say, there was no flavor at all. Everything was bland. The waffle fries had a good crisp to it but nothing I would get again.

Denise L.

Yelp
Good place to a bite to eat that's reasonable. Spring rolls (vegetable) were crispy good. Bao bun with beef bulgogi was good but kinda bland on flavor. Nice seating all around outside.

Tim Z.

Yelp
Their teriyaki chicken is okay. Their white rice is sushi rice with vinegar? Not sure if it's intentional.

Hanah H.

Yelp
Ordered the honey teriyaki chicken with soy dressed noodles. Pros- portion size and presentation was good along with cost. Cons- noodles were cold and a little too sweet I read somewhere it may be new, would possibly consider trying it again to see if things have improved. Has potential.

Brian P.

Yelp
Cheap spot for Asian fast food at Seaport Village. I got the beef bulgogi bowl with noodles which was pretty decent. The meat was surprisingly good. All bowls come with a scoop of veggies which was comprised of broccoli, red peppers and carrots, all of which tasted raw and uncooked. I tried eating some of it but it just wasn't good. They need to cook their veggies more!

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
We came here to eat in high hopes after seeing some quick photos where the food looked tasty. It was our first mistake not checking the previous reviews. To begin our order was wrong. We ordered (2) Bao Tacos one mangaloin beef and bulgogi and we ended up with what looked like some random meat with very soggy vegetables on top of it and the flavor was horrible. Then we ordered a bowl with noodles , terryaki chicken and bbq pork. Just like the reviews other reviewers said, this could be food found in the frozen food section in Walmart. It was dry , and just in our personal opinion not good. The sauce on the noodles made the noodles just not appetizing at all. I also ordered the mango babe and it tasted old and the mango was just some slushee they had that had a bunch of nasty chunks in it. It tasted like it had just been sitting for a while. We certainly won't be returning.

Kat G.

Yelp
Don't eat here ! Weird flavors, worse than Panda Express. Service was terrible. The cashier gave me the wrong order the first time and rudely addressed me even though it wasn't my order, she insisted it was mine even tho I didn't have the same number as hers from the kitchen. When I came back I found out she gave someone else the wrong order. THEN she gave me the wrong order again. Just so unorganized on top of rude staff.

serina c.

Yelp
This place is hidden in seaport village. Actually pretty good food at beyond amazing prices. Actually it was very cheap for what you get. Noodles were perfect texture and the kalbi was flavorful. Ordering was a tad confusing at first but they explained it well. Only part was the sauces and I asked if I could try different ones and they said yes but didn't tell me there was a charge for each sauce lol. I saw that on the receipt later. Definitely come try this place for cheap food in seaport. The ice cream spot is almost the same price for 1 scoop as this place for a big plate of food!!

Danielle N.

Yelp
Really below my expectations. Menu looked good but everything was so bland. Couldn't tell the difference between the two meats. Honestly tasted like airplane food. Clearly just scoop it out of a tub and serve it up.

John S.

Yelp
I can't believe this place is allowed to serve this "food" to humans. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken bowl. The vegetables were definitely previously frozen, possibly for years. They were definitely the least fresh vegetables I've ever eaten. The chicken was bland and old tasting. I'm so glad my hard earned money went to this tourist trap with old bland food. I actually threw my food out after 2 bites. I wouldn't wish this food on my worst enemy.

Chanel Y.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by here because they had a good deal, I think it was 2 baos for like $9 or something like that. They had quite a few options for fillings, and ultimately I got 2 beef bulgogi and she got 2 Mongolian beef, and once our food came out we traded one so we got to try both. Well, they tasted the same if I'm being honest. That's fine, not a big deal. I will also say the bao bun isn't the best quality bao bun at all, since it got soggy very quickly. And the cucumber garnishes were heavily pickled which is fine but like daaaannng it packed a punch!! That being said, if I'm in seaport village, I will probably try something else next Time I go.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Service was so great and the pictures of the food too! So I was very disappointed when I saw the food and tasted it. Teriyaki chicken is unflavored very dry with a tiny bit of sauce on top. Brown rice well seasoned but over cooked. Veggies tasted reminiscent of thawed frozen veggies. They were salted so at least it helped with the flavor. ( However, the 2 pieces of Broccoli in the mix were freshly cooked and well seasoned ) I don't like leaving negative reviews- but I wish I would have read this review before I tried the food. I'm hoping I just tried the worst thing on the menu.

Dave S.

Yelp
I love Bao Buns. Being Hawaiian I grew up eating Manapua. Which is very similar to Bao. I heard about Tuk Tuk and figured Id take my kids and give it a try. We had all the Bao buns. Pork Belly, Mongolian Beef, Chicken and Bulgolgi. Also I had the chicken wings. Wings were a bust!!! Small and flavorless. The Bao bun was soft and pillowy! The meats however, very simple with a single flavor profile. The Bulgolgi and Mongolian beef looked exactly the same except for the sauce. The carrots and cucumber on top was plain, no flavor. I wouldve appreciated if it was pickled with an Asian flavor. Also a sprig of cilantro wouldve added another flavor profile. Being its at SeaPort Village and a tourist trap, its not bad. But if it were in North Park, it would not survive. If you are at Seaport Village its worth stopping for a quick bite. But I dont recommend traveling just to eat here. 3.5 stars is a more accurate rating.

Ash S.

Yelp
Tuk Tuk Eatery is a very fast and affordable place to eat at! This area doesn't have a lot to offer if you don't like American food, so this does give you more flavor. Definitely would consider this similar but better than mall food, but considering the location and Vegan/GF options and the flavors offered I would recommend to give this a try. They show they're open until 9pm.

Darryl G.

Yelp
If you down in Seaport Village, there are a lot of choices for sit down or to go food, but there's nothing like Tuk Tuk eatery. It is an Asian fusion eatery, with a focus on bowls, plates, drinks, appetizers and dessert. We had the sweet potato waffle fries, spring rolls, sticky wings and sautéed tofu with peanut sauce. All were delicious, but I must get extra wings and tofu next time as they were incredible. They marinade the tofu for 24 hours, so it is soft and really flavorful. I got a bowl with salad at the bottom, Korean beef Bulgogi and a sweet chili sauce. My wife got hers with the tofu and spicy peanut Thai sauce - Again, everything was delicious and we left empty bowls. I also enjoyed a taro Boba tea, and one of the warm waffles with whip cream and chocolate sauce. Luckily I had to walk to the car to work up some of my meal.

Nicole T.

Yelp
Came here with my husband during a visit to seaport village. Could tell they were relatively new and with no reviews, and less lines than everyone else, we chose to take a chance. The staff were very nice and answered all of our questions as well as helped make recommendations. I am hearing impaired and they were patient with me as I kept asking them to repeat themselves (hearing aids are not perfect unfortunately). The food seemed to take a little bit longer than everyone else, however, that could be because they may be new so I really don't hold that against them and is not included in my scoring. I ended up going with the plate with soy noodles, beef bulgolgi, gochujang sauce, and potato salad. Drinks are not soft serve and must be purchased in the bottles. They did not offer free cups of water so we had to purchase a bottle of water. The noodles were well cooked & the veggies had a nice crunch to them. Food was served warm, not hot. The bulgolgi beef had a nice flavor but was not thinly sliced like you would see at most authentic Korean BBQ restaurants. I've always loved the texture of the thin sliced bulgolgi beef so I was missing that on this meal. With that said, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't come across any rubbery pieces of fat that are hard to eat so I was still good with the texture. The potato salad was a little bland and could have used a bit more salt (or any other seasoning) in it. Most of the sauces being offered seemed to be on the sweeter side so we both went with the gojuchang sauce hoping to get a more savory & spicy sauce and not as much sweetness. Unfortunately, that sauce was more sweet with the tiniest kick of somewhat spicy flavor. We're not huge into sweeter tasting entrees so the fact the most of our food was sweet left us craving something savory and salty afterwards. My husband had the bowl with the soy noodles, bbq pork, and gochujang sauce. The pork was a nice texture, similar to pork belly. Unfortunately, the bowl overall was also too sweet for his taste as well. The pork bao buns were good. Bun was nice and soft, not rubbery at all. The carrots & cabbage filling had a wonderful crunch. This was probably my favorite part of the meal. Yes, still on the sweet side, but was already expecting that to be somewhat sweet. I would probably try this place again and maybe just try a new sauce on the side. I liked the overall texture of the food and that it was different than the other things offered at Seaport Village.

Yelp
Workers are amazing and very kind. The food is barely edible. Meat quality cannot be any lower. Tough and multiple days old for sure. Their spice is on point but the owners must have used the lowest quality meat they can find. Absolute zero regards for quality and it shows.

Yelp
If you have functioning tastebuds this place isn't for you. Bland, boiled yet cold baby carrots for a hot Asian stir fry? The "bao" was completely inedible. The tofu wasn't disgusting so there is that. I'd rather live on Boost shakes. It at least has flavour. How is asian food bland? How?

Yelp
The food is *edible* for the most part. However, this is overpriced for what it is. I got the noodles with tofu and vegetables. It tastes like something you can buy at Costco and microwave for 2 minutes and spend less than $4. My husband got the shrimp, chicken and fried rice. He left more than 3/4th of it due to cooking issues. Please do not spend your money here. Mike Hess has good tacos. Or go to Costco and get some microwaveable Chinese food.

Yelp
The food was great! We were at seaport for the day and we didn't want any of the options available, so it was a relief to find Asian options here! We ordered two bowls one with tofu which was so well cooked and the bulgogi which was cooked to perfection. We did ask for the sauce on the side so we could dip and try different flavors; I always do this since some sauces may be on the sweeter or spicier side. We got the bao buns as well and they were amazing. My friend got the fries and I couldn't stop eating them because they were perfectly crispy. The lady at the counter was so patient and helpful since I was so confused about which sauce to get and she took the time to explain them to me. Also cool decor and space! Check out the pics
