"Tuk Tuk Thai is fine in a pinch, but there's no reason to make a special trip to this neighborhood spot on Sawtelle. Tuk Tuk is run by the same people as Ban Ban Burger next door, and serves a massive, takeout-friendly menu of Thai staples in a pepto-pink dining room. You can get some serviceable pork belly pad thai or beef curry fried rice at your preferred spice level, but most of the small plates, curries, and noodle dishes here could use more oomph. If you spend a lot of time in West LA, Tuk Tuk could work for a quick lunch or casual sit-down dinner. But for a more memorable meal, pop next door to their sister restaurant for a grapow burger and pandan milkshake." - Nikko Duren

Google
I had an amazing experience at Tuk Tuk Thai! I ordered the Khao Soi and asked for it with tofu - no problem at all, and it was to die for. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and my food came out surprisingly fast. Everything from the service to the food was just spot-on. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
The food is great and the service was great as well! Definitely a fan of the soups! The mango sweet rice is delicious as well!

I ordered one from the lunch menu. The portion is kind of small and the AC didn’t work very well. Service was great

Best Thai food in Fort Worth. Come here maybe once a week. It’s one of those spots you’ll want to come back to. Inside is very casual, service is super friendly and very quick, food is amazing. Lots of vegetarian options as tofu can be subbed for anything. Recommend the pad sweet chili, and the pad kratiem.

Everything we ordered was delicious, and we could tell it was freshly prepared. Good portion sizes too; we had leftovers.

I was craving curry and I stumbled upon this place, which was only a couple min walk from my place. When I got there at around 12:30~1:00ish, it was just me in the place so def a spot to go if you don't wanna fight the crowds! However, I may have found why this place was empty 😅. I was going to order the lunch special, which was only like 10$, but was told they were doing it the day I went so I just ordered a red curry and Thai tea, which came out super fast. The tea was really good! Creamy, sweet, and helped with the spice of the curry (I did 3/5 which was a pleasant spice level). The portion was a decent size, was definitely more than full when I left. The only thing empty when I left was my wallet, because the curry, tea, and tip came out to about 25$ 🥲 the food and service were good, and although the portion size was more than filling, 25$ for lunch was a bit much, especially since originally I thought I was paying closer to 10$. I highly recommend if you go, split and appetizer and curry with someone and get more bang for your buck! Not a bad place! The server was super nice. However, I would have rather had half the portion size and price 😅

Google
Great spot for Thai with ample parking. The pot stickers and edamame were good to start. The basil chicken was good but could've been spicier. The drunken noodles were good as well but the sweet and sour chicken lacked flavor so not my fave. They have a liquor store next door so you can bring a glass of wine over and they have wine glasses and opener which was helpful. Service was good and food came out fast.

This restaurant tries its best to excell at every Hospitality aspect. My family experience was exceptional. At the arriving time we're greeted by kind and friendly personnel. The food Pad Thai and curry dishes were on point . We sure will recommend and warn you a pleasant experience at all times. So bring your love ones for a unique Thai experience.

Yelp
This was a delicious meal that was served quickly and very hot and fresh! The service was quick and friendly and the restaurant was very clean and comfortable. We could come back here again!

Yelp
I went to Tuk Tuk Thai for the first time with my roommate today. It was nice place but the place was a mess from the lunchtime rush. There was only one person in the front of the restaurant to serve, take orders, and clean the tables. I ordered spicy chicken drunken noodles of their lunch specials and two egg rolls because they stopped serving house salad. She stated that it is too cold to serve house salad...what?? Anyway the egg rolls were your normal egg rolls, just okay. The drunken noodles was spicy and delicious. The lady was nice but the serve in whole was bad because she was the only one. We didn't even get refill on our waters. Once she dropped our foods off, we did not see her until she brought our check and she did not even ask if we wanted desserts. I ended up getting dessert somewhere else. With better serve, this place would be easy five stars place for me but as is it is three stars.

Yelp
Ordered Take out today. Large soup and Pad Thai lunch special. 35$, so thought it would be plenty to feed 2 people at least once maybe twice. Pitiful amount of food for the price. The pad thai is not even a half portion for one at most restaurants. The food is good, but 35$ is absolutely ridiculous for a barely full soup container that would be a small at any other restaurant. Save your money, it can be better and more affordable elsewhere.

Suzanne W.

Yelp
First time here and we enjoyed it! The waitress was friendly and had great recommendations. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The dishes were fresh and delicious. We had crab rangoons, fresh wrap, pineapple fried rice and soup.

Reviewer B.

Yelp
Tuktuk Thai is one of the best restaurants in Fort Worth. The curries are so good. And the service is amazing too. If you're looking for a delicious dinner, go to tuktuk! 10/10.

Nicole T.

Yelp
I recently ordered to-go from Tuk Tuk Thai. The food was prepared on time and there was plenty of parking to grab the food and go. The food was well packaged. As for the taste, the food was ok. I ordered the pad thai, which was just ok. My sister ordered the yellow curry, which she wasn't a big fan of. We both shared the thai egg rolls, which we both enjoyed. Not sure if we'll be back for another meal, but it did provide a decent and quick dinner.

Kimberly W.

Yelp
Excellent, just Excellent! Mai is wonderful, very very kind and she always helps to guide me into trying new dishes. The spot is small but it doesn't feel small. This is the best Thai food I've ever had and I will be back.

Ruth L.

Yelp
The food was really delicious very authentic not only was she very promptly as the only one visually there. I got the drunken noodles and it was very much aromatic I very much enjoyed that from the dish my girlfriend got the pat thi with a verity of vegetables (so if you're not a fan order something else) the mini corn was very nice crunch to complement with the mushrooms and other vegetables it had a nice kick to it and the egg tied everything very nicely. All I have to say is very much worth the money and it has an amazing vibe. I will most definitely be going back I just find it hard she is at four stars when it deserves five.

Valerie P.

Yelp
Food has been good the 2 times we have eaten there -one dine in, one takeaway. Spice level is higher than you might expect. I will continue to search through their menu as it all looks good

Suphavadi K.

Yelp
Forever my favorite place. The food is soo good also the place is so amezing with friendly service ever.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! Can't recommend it enough. Service, food, atmosphere.... Will come here regularly from now on

Amelia M.

Yelp
Good quality, Good food , nice staff, clean place , have vegan option, i love it will be my spot

Yelp
Tuk Tuk is my go-to place for Thai curry. Their red chicken curry at a heat level 2 is so delicious. It's got the sweet from the coconut and a little mild fire to it from the spice. I usually walk over to pick it up to take back home and the servings are so large me and my wife split one curry. I've never eaten inside but it's very no frills. The seats barely have cushions and it's rather small. I have back issues so I steer away from hard seats, but the easy solution is just take the food back home :) the shop itself is very clean despite the chair situation. I love having Tuk Tuk in my neighborhood, the staff are great and I've never walked back home to find they've made a mistake on my order or anything like that, so i don't even check the bag anymore because I trust they're on their game! 10/10 food and I'd give it a 6/10 on the atmosphere inside...don't let that steer you away though because the food makes up for it!!

Idris A.

Yelp
If you like Thai food, you'll like it here. 5 levels of sauce and all the signature staples. The $12.50 lunch special is all you need to get full and make a smart financial decision. Don't expect much in ambiance. They clearly cater to the food which is exceptional. Service is a bit lacking, but once again you aren't there for anything but the food

Courtney S.

Yelp
Chicken with pad see-ew with Thai tea, so good! Also got chicken fried rice with spring rolls, couldn't get a picture since we ate too fast

Alana G.

Yelp
The restaurant small, casual, and comfortable. The one server was busy with diners and take out but seemed to ably keep most everyone happy. One order of drunken noodles to eat in and basil Thai eggplant chicken to go. Both dishes were traditional, fresh, and quality. The level 3 delivered heat but not scorching. The vegetables still retained just the right crunch but the eggplant was creamy and absorbed the sauce perfectly. So good with a bit of the jasmine rice. Generous portions at a good price.

Terry J.

Yelp
Food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the crab Rangoon, chicken lettuce wraps for our starters and both were soooo good. My Sis ordered the Fried rice and she really enjoyed it. I ordered the chicken curry and Pad Thai. Had planned on taking left overs home for lunch. Pad Thai never arrived. Uggggh. Here again is where my frustration is with service which changes the overall rating. Our food arrived quickly, though incomplete and I had to get up twice. Our waitress was essentially hanging out at the counter area and never once looked our way. We ordered dessert, Mochi and sticky rice with mango. Amazing. We will be back....

Mojeauxs M.

Yelp
What a wonderfully happy accident finding this treasure! Food was excellent! Waitresses were knowledgeable of menu items and to suggesting heat levels. Waitresses seemed friendly & happy--which I like to see. I will definitely tell my friends about this restaurant.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Delicious, consistent Thai food with fresh, healthy ingredients and a wonderful attention to detail. Portions are generous, and everything on the menu is seriously tasty and to be recommended. I have been eating here weekly for six years. We always order delivery or take out, and it never fails to disappoint. They have the best Thai soups out of every Thai restaurant in Ft Worth, including the Belknap area specialty restaurants. Their curries are always flawless. And even normally just regular humdrum appetizers like chicken satay or crab Rangoons are so tasty that we order the chicken satay every time. Their stir fries are all delightful. I especially favor their pad kra prao and eggplant kra prao. As I said, you can't go wrong with any of their curries. I alternate between their green curry, panang curry, and red curry as my top favorites. My partner loves every one of their fried rice dishes. My favorite soups are their Tom Kha Gai, Tom Yum Gai, and their shockingly tasty and exceptional wonton soup which is all I will eat when I am sick. (Wonton soup and the chicken satay with an extra side of their delicious cucumber salad is all I will eat when I am sick with the flu or anything similarly debilitating.) But all of their soups are great. In fact, I have tried everything on the menu at least 3 times, and there is nothing I would not highly recommend. The owner is really nice and cooks on Saturday nights. That is a treat you don't want to miss! Their larb salad is my favorite, but their num tok salad and your woon sen salads are terrific, too. All of their noodles are divine, but I the drunken noodles and pad see eew are always my favorites. And their fried roti is absolutely heavenly. Their sweet sticky rice with custard, Thai tea, and Thai coffee are also magnificent. The Siam Noodle/Khap Soi is terrific, as is the sukiyaki. My partner loves their pad thai, pad woonsen, every curry, esp their massaman curry, red, green, yellow and panang curries. And he orders either their crazy fried rice, their basil fried rice or their Thai fried rice as an accompaniment with every meal we order. As I said, the portions are quite generous. So our orders often last us for 2-3 days. But they are just as good rewarmed 2 days later as they were upon delivery. So this is a little-known gem of a Thai restaurant you should definitely try out. You just can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Steven M.

Yelp
I have eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. The service is good and the food is always fresh and delicious. I recommend the salmon curry.

Jordan G.

Yelp
I love Thai food. My daughter loves Thai food. This was an incredible surprise. We got a few different curries, cuc salad, and rangoon. It was excellent. Spice level is no joke. Enjoy yelpers, TukTuk is a new fave.

Chris P.

Yelp
If someone says it's always about the food, they generally are correct. But it certainly helps knowing what sort of experience you are getting, even if the food is stellar. Tuk Tuk Thai delights with a spacious but home style dining space, and feels like a cafe you would see Anthony Bourdain rave about on 'Parts Unknown'. Do yourself a favor and drop by. From the appetizers to the curries and main entrees, a complex show of flavors burst like that tasting scene in Ratatouille. 10/10

Pj W.

Yelp
Love the food here , service was great and it left me full and satisfied, we got there just before rush our , it got really busy after after 6

Laura C.

Yelp
We were in Ft.Worth, Yelping a place for dinner, and my husband chose Thai. Tuk Tuk was a mile away from our location and had the right amount of stars and the reviews seemed okay; as it turned out, it just could have been so much better. First, let's talk about what was wonderful. The fried potstickers ($8) were terrific. The filling was amazing and the pastry thin. They were fried so well. Crispy and not greasy at all, they were the highlight for me. My husband's Red Curry Chicken ($13.50) was excellent. A large portion, it was unctuous and well seasoned. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it. We discussed ordering a rice paper wrapped roll; but I pointed out to my husband that it appeared to be vegetarian - only vegetables and noodles inside for $6. When we asked the waitress about it, she indicated that we could add a meat for $2, so we did. I just thought it was odd that the option for a Meat or tofu wasn't on the menu to begin with. It seemed weird to me. There's usually a protein in a summer roll. The end product needed some herbs or something, too. They were pretty meh, although the peanut sauce was good. Anyway, someone in the kitchen has a sweet tooth. The potsticker sweet and sour dipping sauce was mostly sweet. The Tom Kha Gai soup ($10) was obviously too sweet. My Pad Kee Mao ($12.50) was even sweet! I wanted something savory, not dessert, and soy sauce just isn't a cure all. I asked for fish sauce for the dipping sauce and added a little to the other dishes, too. There were other issues. My flat noodles were gummy and with stirring, came apart, and balled up. There was very little basil or even flavor to the dish. It was truly a major disappointment. To go business at dinner was brisk and with only 2 people trying to take of us and another couple, answering the phone, handling the orders and helping with the kitchen; service was disjointed. They were well meaning and friendly enough; just no follow up. Ft. Worth has so much to offer when you are coming in from out of town. We'll try somewhere else next time. Those dumplings were awesome, though.

amber b.

Yelp
We ordered orange chicken for delivery. Hands down THE worst orange chicken ever! It was like the leftover bottom tiny pieces, hard to chew, skimpy sauce; disappointing size of serving for almost $14. I've happily ordered from here before so I don't know what happened.

Arpan P.

Yelp
Would eat here every day of my life if I could. Get the kao krapraw khai Dow and enjoy the best meal of your life. I heard Michelin is coming to Texas. Make sure to stop by before they get a star and the prices 10x.

Cynthia P.

Yelp
I continue to search for a good thai restaurant in Fort Worth. I ordered fresh spring rolls with shrimp. I'm glad I ordered the shrimp for an additional 2 dollars, otherwise my spring rolls would have consisted of lettuce. That's it . . . Lettuce. The shrimp was sliced in half and placed face up so you dont notice. The predominant flavor of the 10 dollar spring rolls . . . Lettuce. The chicken yellow curry included the traditional potato chunks. Unfortunately, they were undercooked. Then there was an abundance of carrots and peas, the frozen little square cut kind. Zero flavor. I found myself adding salt, chili paste, peanuts! Anything I could think of to add some flavor. Oh well. The search continues . . .

Julianne T.

Yelp
First time in Texas, and I always need to eat Thai food wherever I go. Checked Yelp for a good one in the area and I found Tuk Tuk Thai. I ordered Fresh Rolls/Spring Rolls, Pad Thai and Fried Rice. I Thought my Pad Thai at Tuk Tuk Thai was lacking flavor. It was good, but not as flavorful as I've had in other places. Seems to be too much oil in the bottom of my food. The Spring Rolls and the sauce could have been better. The service is friendly. I did a pick up order, and I did see their dining area. It's clean.

Drew S.

Yelp
I go here almost every Saturday the workers are very polite and the food is great I get the green fried rice curry every time!

Alicia M.

Yelp
Place is small but enough space between tables, cute, clean. Service was good but it got busy and they seemed understaffed. Food and drinks were okay. Tea was good. Coffee was not very strong. Fried chicken fried rice, chicken was cold and hard. Rice was delicious. Wonton soup was sweet, I don't like that. The cucumber salad was very sweet. I prefer a savory/very spicy seasoning. Good place to try out!

J F.

Yelp
It's ok, but not great. We've had takeout only. The food it hit or miss. The curries are way too watery and no control of heat. If you order a specific heat, you get the same heat regardless of your request. Time to find a new Thai takeout.

Meg A.

Yelp
I got the chicken pad Thai (medium spice) and it was perfect. I even had some to take home and was even better on the second day! Highly recommend.

Terrell B.

Yelp
Went here on a recommendation from someone who lives near here while I was at a conference. I got the chicken pad see ew And tofu pad Thai- both #1 spice based on o the we reviews. The pad see ew was best I have had in Fort Worth amd pad that was in top 2. I don't like it too sweet- it was great. And they added extra egg to it since I opted for tofu as the protein. You absolutely should try them out- food is delicious, staff is gracious, price point is super. Worth the trip!

Stephanie M.

Yelp
2 stars because the pork fried rice wasn't too bad. Meaning it wasn't anything special. I tried the pad kee mow (drunken noodles). Probably the worst I've ever tried. Super over salted and a bit greasy. The chicken was flavorless like it wasn't fried together with everything else. The waitress forgot our sodas and brought them when we were almost done then hurried us out because they were closing. Saying hand me that spoon. Why not wait till we left the table? Anyways We left a tip not sure why we did but we definitely won't be back. Sorry

Rekha S.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Our family enjoyed every dish here. The staff were very friendly and service was fast. The Tom yum soup was exceptional.

Katherine H.

Yelp
Lunch specials FTW! Came to Tuk Tuk after studying nearby and it was all within a 5 minute walk. I was initially drawn in by their $10 lunch specials and it did not disappoint! Lunch Special details (as of 11/18/2018) -$10 Monday-Friday 11am-2pm -Comes with FREE unsweet tea, soup of the day, Thai egg roll, and entree of choice -Entree choices range from rice dishes (orange chicken, sweet sour chicken, etc), fried rice, curry, and noodles (pad thai, pad see ew, drunken noodles, lo mein, more) I opted for the Pad Thai with beef. It was tangy, sweet, spicy (I got a level 2), and hit all the right spots in my taste buds. The egg roll was average, but the soup (Rice Soup) was a really nice surprise! It came with rice and topped with a protein (I think it was ground chicken), and was my favorite part of the entire meal. Service was good and fast, when you're done with your meal head to the cashier to pay!

Jessie B.

Yelp
I can never go wrong with this place. I love the people and the food. The restaurant is also so cute, and cozy. What I love from here: The veggie delight (not sure if that's what it's called). But it's vegetables w your choice of protein and heat level! W rice. Soooo tasty. One time I got a level 2 and it was WOWIW spicy. So I stick w level 1. Egg drop soup is YUM. Obsessed w the masanan curry!! It's freaking amazing. I add chicken or shrimp sometimes, too. One thing I prob wouldn't order again is the pho. It wasn't terrible or anything , it just wasn't spot on. They used to have good lunch specials, too. It's been awhile since I've gotten to go in during lunch time. I can't remember what all else I've eaten here but it's all been delicious!!! Will continue to visit and order out from this place. Give it a try!!!

Tien N.

Yelp
I recently stopped by Tuk Tuk Thai again to grab my favorite dish from here - the drunken noodles. They have the right amount of spice and flavor and give generous meat/vegetables portions in their noodles. I can't recommend the pad thai here because it lacks that signature sweet saucy tamarind flavor I love in my pad thai, but their other noodle dishes are good. The service is fast, and they always get my order correct which I appreciate.

Hannah N.

Yelp
I was sold with that Po Tak! It hit all the notes for me - sour, lemongrass, basil and spicy when you add the chili paste and dried chili flakes served on the side with it. It had mushrooms and a medley of seafood in it including shrimp, mussels, squid, and fish balls. Get some jasmine rice with it. Sooo good! I started with their chicken wings and it had a nice flavor even though it was clearly over fried. I also ordered the beef pad thai knowing I wouldn't be able to finish it and had planned to bring it to work the next day for lunch. It was on the sweet side and the beef was not sliced against the grain. I got tired of chewing and just ate the noodles. I didn't take a pic because once I started on my soup, I forgot about everything else. It's located in a very unassuming strip mall. The inside however had a very cool vibe. The service was ok. Nothing above average. Honestly I probably wouldn't have stopped in if my friend hadn't highly recommended this place. I'm so glad she did. I can't wait to go back for that Po Tak!

Bailey M.

Yelp
Sweet and Sour Chicken Thai Egg Rolls (4) - I didn't realize I was going to get a bowl of deep fried chicken pieces. There isn't chicken in several of the fried pieces, just deep fried breading. The egg rolls were also fried to a crisp. The chicken pieces that were in the bowl were hard to eat. Like hard/stringy chicken? Wanted to love this place because I love Thai food, but I won't be back. I'm very disappointed in this.. What is even worse, the manager or owner came over to ask if everything was okay or if I wanted a togo box. I politely said no togo box and that the food was not good, i showed the chicken pieces and bowl of fried breading, and just said I wanted my check. The manager/owner proceeded to bring me my check without doing a thing about me not being able to eat hardly any of my meal. I wasn't wanting a free meal, but was surprised they didn't offer to fix the situation somehow. Disappointing! I also saw them pull the egg rolls out of a dish on the floor to then put in the fryer. That's weird, right???

Mary T.

Yelp
Awesome little hidden gem! Finally a thai place closer to my home & tasted amazing. The seafood dishes were good. It tasted like they literally just caught it, cooked it and brought it out to spoil my taste buds with loads of goodness. The price point is about the same as other thai places I have had. Portions are fair. Casual laid back environment. Thai tea came in a cute mason handle jar. There's also a cool collage of pictures on one of the walls. It would make a cute Instagram photo, just saying... =) Get the appetizer sampler! You get to try several different appetizers which is great. It also comes with 4 different types of sauces. So if you don't know where to start, start with this appetizer. Chicken satay isn't my favorite here. Fried tofu, much to my surprise was really good. I normally don't eat fried tofu. Crab Rangoon could use a little bit more crab in it. It just tasted like fried cream cheese wonton. Large order of the tom yum soup could fill up 4 individual bowls. Plenty of ingredients in it. The best soup I've had thus far. Other locations, there aren't much ingredients in the soup. I'm super excited about it. This does not come in a fire pot like other locations. I recommend at least a level 2 or 3 spicy. I got it with shrimp. Seriously, why did the shrimp taste so good! It is loaded with mushrooms, so if you don't like mushrooms, order accordingly. Must try the spicy seafood salad. I got a level four and it was a nice little kick. I love spicy foods, so this was a good kick for me and not a over bearing "someone give me some milk" spicy. I honestly would have been able to do a 5 with no issues. If you don't have a high spicy tolerance, go for a less spicy level. Beef Pad see ew, good flavor. Could use a little more noodles. Beef was a bit chewy. I will definitely return to try other dishes.

Eat T.

Yelp
Good but pricey for what you get! I'll return again when I the area. Portions were good but I could tell compared to other Thai places that containers were not "full". Good flavors but again was expecting more for the price.

Liesl E.

Yelp
Says it closes at 9. For there at 8:30 for a quick bite and were told we could only order take out. Not practical when we have a 30 minute drive. We will not be coming back.

D P.

Yelp
Food was unexpectedly sweet, which I'm sure some people love, but it's not for us. We ordered the Tom Kha soup and Panang curry through Door Dash and it arrived quick and hot, but both tasted like they substituted sweetened condensed milk for the coconut milk. The soup ate more like a dessert, sadly. Again, not for us, but if you like your Thai food with a lot of sugar, this might be your place.

Craig C.

Yelp
I love TTT! I usually have it delivered but when I have gone in the order is ready and the people are so nice and seemed happy to see me. Love all the curries, but a big shout out to the Green Curry. Vegetable rolls are fresh and crisp every time and the peanut sauce is just the right consistency. Pad Thai, Tom Kha Gai soup, Pad Kee Moa and of course Pad Thai. All are way above average. Treat yourself!

Alisa O.

Yelp
Pineapple Fried Rice had two pieces of shrimp. The service was great. Disappointed once I got home to eat my take out. The ambiance in the restaurant was clean and inviting.

Megan H.

Yelp
Hands down the best Thai takeout in town. Good size portions and tons of flavor. So glad I found this hidden gem.

Barb A.

Yelp
Tried out Tuk Tuk Thai for lunch. I had the crab Rangoon, which was very tasty. I liked the sweet and sour sauce served with it as it had a little bite to it. I ordered the lunch special of chicken pad Thai. It came with rice soup and an egg roll. The Pad Thai was very good. I liked the spice level I chose. The soup was ok. The rice was still hard and the soup wasn't very hot. The egg roll was good, but could have been warmer. Overall I liked the food.

Aly B.

Yelp
We opted for takeout last minute via delivery app. The order was correct, hot, fresh and delicious. We sampled a few items and they were all great and can't wait to try more. Hate that we missed taking photos so we need to order again soon!
