I can't believe I've overlooked this spot until now! From the moment my husband and I walked in, we were greeted with the warmest welcome, instantly making us feel right at home. We were seated promptly, and our server, Sheai, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations for appetizers and drinks.
We kicked things off with chips and salsa, which were so fresh, and couldn't resist adding the queso with chorizo. For drinks, I went with the El Diablo, a perfectly crafted cocktail featuring Mezcal Joven, lime, muddled serrano, spicy honey, and a chili sea salt rim. It was spicy, bold, and absolutely delicious--just the kick I was looking for!
For the main course, I chose the Pastor Al Carbon, and it was a flavor-packed experience. The marinated pork was tender and juicy, truly the star of the dish. Paired with a cheese-stuffed poblano pepper, cilantro rice, pico de gallo, grilled scallion, and roasted Mexican corn cob, every element was executed to perfection. It's easily one of the best dishes I've had in a long time.
My husband went for the shrimp burrito, which came wrapped in a warm flour tortilla and filled with cheese, cilantro rice, refried black beans, pico de gallo, avocado, sour cream, and jalapeño sauce. He loved every bite, and after sneaking a taste, I can confirm it was just as incredible as my dish.
Though we were tempted by dessert, we were far too full to indulge this time. But no worries--I'll definitely be back, especially for their brunch. The thought of unlimited mimosas with no time limit is reason enough to return!
The atmosphere at Tulio's is just as impressive as the food. The decor is vibrant and eclectic, with eye-catching details like the purple velvet wall leading to the restrooms--a super cool touch. The vibe is relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind.
Between the exceptional food, stellar service, and great ambiance, Tulio's has quickly become a favorite. I can't wait to return soon!
