New to San Jose, we are always on the lookout for community gatherings that will give us a taste of the town. I saw something about The Tully Night Market on the socials, so one of my kids and I took a chance and headed out.
If you have ever been to a Night Market, this one definitely has some good bones to build on. There was food, live music, community orgs, and craft vendors. There was a rock band made up of dudes in their 50's but still jamming like it was glam rock 1980; there were only three open food trucks, so that could use some improvement; and there was a wide variety of craft folks: lashes, soap, hemp stuff, and more!
The best part was that it felt super local. East San Jose seems to get a bad rap, so it was great to see folks out from all the global places. Well done whoever is doing this!
I am giving Four Stars right now as there is def room for improvement, especially in the Food Truck department.
Hours on the Googles say 5:30-8:00 every Wednesday night through October, so get there and support this local community gathering! Maybe we'll see you there!
