This cozy buzzing place is a perfect find for brunch. Swift service and great ambience, reader's pretty spot. Their mocha is amazing. We ate croissant egg cheese sandwich, French toast (with berry preserve + whip cream), and mango smoothie. Cheerful place!

Google
Super cute place, cozy and chill vibe :) Great coffee, great pastries, and a very friendly staff :) Dropped by a few times during our stay at Gardiner.

Google
What a charming find in Gardiner! The food and service are amazing--always served up with a smile! Dined here twice this week and may go back a third time! So, yummy!

Google
Great breakfast sandwiches and a decent breakfast burrito! Excellent service. I'd recommend calling in your order ~15 minutes ahead if you're in a hurry, though. Also, hot cereal is no longer on the menu.

Google
What a great spot to stop for coffee and breakfast or lunch. Cheerful energetic staff greet you and tend to your needs. Highly recommend any of the breakfast sandwiches. So many delicious choices for bread, meat and cheese. The locally sourced bread is delicious. Perfect place to relax on the deck for a hearty breakfast on your way into the park. To go breakfast for a day trip into the park are a fantastic idea as well. Thanks guys! Made our day.

Great breakfast burritos! And delicious coffee, great matcha, and great service.

Google
If you’re looking for a convenient spot to grab a tasty bite and a great latte before starting your Yellowstone hike, this is the perfect place to visit. While it may not provide an super fancy breakfast, we enjoyed everything we ordered. The food is delicious, the service is decent, and the prices won’t leave you in shock.

Google
Such lovely food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. The books and cozy chairs are so welcome. 💗

Yelp
We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and burritos. They were very large in size, so the portion was good. The sandwiches were fresh but the potatoes in the burritos could have been cooked a little bit longer. The burrito did have a good flavor thanks to the salsa. Cute restaurant/shop that makes everything fresh to order.

Yelp
Great little cafe, all the better for how local dogs are the naming convention for sammies AND will sometimes line up with you to get treats.

Yelp
Came in the morning at 7:50am, as Yelp said open at 7am. The owner changed the open hours to 8am without telling the world. Standing in the freezing cold with my kid. The owner refused to let us in even 5 minutes to open, and said it's store policy. I don't appreciate the hospitality.

Yelp
Breakfast in Gardiner! There aren't too many places in town. This place makes a nice bagel breakfast sandwich. We didn't try their breakfast burrito. My only complaint is that the bagels are pretty dense and they don't toast them either. Maybe I could have asked for it to be toasted. Nevertheless they're not light and fluffy. You can choose from a variety of veggies, cheeses, and meats to put on your bagel. You can then finish it off with some plain cream cheese. They have a coffee station with free refills. They also make lattes and such. It's a very cozy place with couches and tables. Both indoor and outdoor seating. They have free Wi-Fi. Of course they have a variety of books you can read, including children's books. They also have a little gift shop.

Yelp
Mistakes were made with the order. If they are handled with grace, there would be no issues. But when you give the customer an attitude it ruins the experience. The employees are new, so it is understandable. But lose the attitude. After an update, I see it was the owner we were dealing with. Not sure if it was a busy day and they weren't having a good day or what. Also, the free sandwich was because it was wrong in the first place. To all who read the owners comments below, they are made up lies.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way out of Yellowstone to the airport for a quick breakfast. There was no line and about half the seats were being used, so it didn't seem very busy. Upon entering, we were told they would "be with us in 5-10 minutes", which seemed a bit strange with at least 3 visible employees. After waiting about 2 minutes, someone did come to the counter to take our order and told us there was a 40-45 minute wait. We had time, so we decided to order anyway. About 50 minutes later, after every single other customer had already been served, finished their meals, and left, they brought out our two breakfast burritos. I knew there would be a wait, but I was still shocked that there was enough time between the previous customers getting their meal and us getting ours for them to finish and leave. This would have probably been okay, except the food was really disappointing. I love a good breakfast burrito (even an okay breakfast burrito), but this was one of the worst I have ever had. The tortilla was cold, as well as about half the ingredients inside the burrito. The salsa tasted like cheap Pace salsa, and there just wasn't much flavor in the burrito. Fortunately, there was a bevy of hot sauces to drown my burrito in so it was palatable. Our breakfast here was legitimately the low point of our trip to Yellowstone. I would not come back here again.

Yelp
Great little shop. A good selection of breakfast and lunch options. Service was prompt and friendly. We'd definitely go back next time we're in the area.

Megan F.

Yelp
One of the better places we ate near Yellowstone. Limited a bit to sandwiches for breakfast but very versatile options!

Yelp
Good people, nice atmospheres, very limited space, food is OK, wait times when busy are extensive (between ordering at the cash register and getting food 40 min already). Unfortunately, when I was there, the same person handled money and food. There were no gloves involved during food handling, and the food was handled by the same hands as cards, cash, receipts, and cash register. After handling food, hands were just wiped on pants. It is very unsanitary, especially in our day and age. I hope that was just one off.

Yelp
I went with Tumbleweed cafe for a large group lunch i ordered recently. Everything was delicious and the owner was pleasant to deal with. They forgot to include the cookies and before we even noticed it the owner had personally stopped by our meeting down the road from her cafe and dropped them off. I'd definitely eat here when I come through the area again.

Cecelia H.

Yelp
Stopped in to this cute place for a latte. The location was perfect. The service was wonderful, the employees were very nice. The ambience and environment were great, but the lattes didn't live up to our expectations. We ordered two lattes and were not very pleased with how they came out. The lattes tasted more like regular iced coffee you could make at home. There was no taste of syrup in them, and they just didn't taste right. Honestly I wouldn't recommend getting any sort of espresso from this coffee shop.

Yelp
There aren't a lot of places to go for coffee/breakfast in Gardiner. On our recent trip to Yellowstone, we visited Tumbleweed a number of times each morning before going into the park. Coffee and breakfast sandwich are good! There can be a bit of a wait as they make food fresh. So, be a bit patient.

Yelp
This place has breakfast! Even though the Yelp menu posted has only lunch items, they have burritos and breakfast sandwiches. They also have a variety of milk options, and I ordered a coconut latte. Wi-Fi is available, and they have comfortable chairs in the book area to sit and relax. There's also :-) patio seating outside to enjoy the sunshine although it's facing the street so there's not a lot to look at. I ordered a bagel sandwich (egg meat and cheese) with added sprouts and avocado and it was delicious. My son ordered his bagel sandwich (egg meat and cheese) on the sourdough bread, and said he wished it would've had more egg on it. He didn't have any add-ons on his sandwich. My son ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage and said it was delicious. Very filling. Call Price they were fairly busy when we arrive so we had to wait a few minutes for the sandwich but it was worth the wait! Farm fresh ingredients.

Yelp
Adorable little cafe recommended by one of the raft guides, all their sandwiches are named after doggos. Ordered the one that was a gyro and it was so tasty, hit the spot just right after a full day of rafting and it was nice to relax here
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped there for breakfast before heading to the park. Their breakfast sandwiches are freshly made & tasted great. They do run out of certain meats and breads so get there early. We also got a cappuccino & latte which also tasted great. Highly recommend this place for a quick breakfast.

Sam S.

Yelp
What a great spot to stop in for breakfast and a coffee. Lots of great options for vegetarians, and you can immediately tell that everything is made with love and care. The workers here welcome you in and ensure your experience is a good one. Fantastic ambiance along the main road of Gardiner, with views of the park. I highly recommend stopping here if you're coming to or going from Yellowstone.

Nibbles B.

Yelp
Solid coffee. Very slow service (they had one girl working there alone on a Saturday morning). Breakfast burrito was mid. Had decent ingredients, but the wrong proportions and a sad tortilla. This place is just fine for a small tourist town like Gardiner, but don't expect anything besides an average experience.
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered breakfast burritos for takeout, the hasbrown inside the breakfast burrito was still raw it was really bad tbh. Flavor was not great either....too bad.

Ohhh Y.

Yelp
Great sandwiches, welcoming atmosphere, creative energy, free internet, awesome service. I would definitely come back here.

Yelp
We are staying close by and tried this place for lunch. It's a small place with dine in and outdoor seating. My son got the Cooper sandwich which consist of ham, cheese, turkey, genoa, spinach on a tomato wrap. My wife had the Bella which is roast beef, cheese and got her in a gluten free bread. I got the Banjo which is turkey, roasted red pepper, chipotle dressing and spinach on focaccia bread. Our sandwiches were really well made and you can taste the love. Our sandwiches had depth and just hit the spot. Very charming place and highly recommended.

Thomas R.

Yelp
Very friendly service and great food and coffee. It's small inside, but very cozy and comfortable. We were here in the winter, but it has a small outdoor space that would be nice in warmer weather.

Steve H.

Yelp
So much fun! Definitely a place for locals and tourists alike. My family and I felt very welcomed and enjoyed everything we ordered.

Jo C.

Yelp
Super cozy spot to enjoy good coffee, delicious food cooked to order and to get great local insight from the wonderful owner Lesley. A warm welcome and a charming pit stop whilst traveling. If you do not make this a must visit, you will be cheating yourself of joy and happiness.

Yelp
Quaint little cafe in Gardiner. We stopped by for a quick breakfast here and tried a few different things. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich I ordered was decent and not too greasy. The latte was good but lukewarm and not hot (as I like it). They also support local artists and have a variety of small items such as stickers for sale. Loved the vibe of this cafe. Do stop by if you are in Gardiner.

Shauna D.

Yelp
What a lovely warm vibe this place puts out! My bf calls me "Tumbleweed," with my travel buggy ways, so I had to stop by. Excellent coffee, croissant, kindness, all of it!

Yelp
Perfect place for breakfast & morning coffee. Cute coffee shop vibes inside - cozy and warm! Workers were all super nice & the food was yummy! Exactly what we were hoping for as hungry tourists looking for breakfast :)

Yelp
I came here on every morning of my 3 day trip to Yellowstone ! Coffee Recommendations 1. Mocha Food recommendations 1. Veggie sandwich 2. Bagel with egg The service was absolutely wonderful and folks here were extremely friendly ! I'd highly recommend anyone staying in gardiner to stop by for a brunch ! In terms of parking, there's some street parking in front of the cafe
google avatar

Ally W.

Yelp
We stopped here to grab a quick lunch. The sandwiches are simple, but good. The homemade rosemary focaccia hits the spot! Here are some popular sandwiches: * Banjo: turkey, roasted red peppers, spinach, Pepper-Jack cheese, and Chipotle dressing * Dozer: ham, white Cheddar cheese, brown mustard, and green apple * Cyrus: turkey, Genoa salami, lettuce, provolone cheese, balsamic, and olive oil 1 star off: I wish their bathroom was as clean as their sandwiches.

Robert B.

Yelp
The BEST breakfast burrito I have EVER HAD! Fun and Funky local spot with great vibes, great coffee, and welcoming to locals and tourists alike.

Yelp
My go to place for breakfast in Gardiner. Espresso drinks are great and the food is well prepared. The menu is not limited at all for breakfast, lots of options to choose from. Loved the scones and the strawberry cake. The front patio is lovely for having coffee and chilling. Some issues: The croissant we had was not very fresh and tasted like an industrial croissant. Customer service is very spotty and service is painfully slow. Girls at the counter are not very nice, they seem to be doing you a favor constantly.

Jacob B.

Yelp
I feel like I'm eating at my friends house. This place is quaint, the plates and cups are eclectic and the woman working this morning has been very kind. Prices are extremely reasonable and the breakfast is GOOD. Nice stop to enjoy the indoors and a breakfast bagel.

Yelp
Verrry cool and hip place to go to for a quick breakfast or cup of coffee. My friends and I were preparing to go river rafting next door, but randomly stopped here to grab a bite to eat. Their menu selection is very small, but simple. I went and ordered the breakfast burrito with ham (extra $0.50). Very simple burrito nothing special about it, but cheap considering the size it was ($5). I HIGHLY recommend to eat it with hot sauce to give it an extra kick as the burrito is plain otherwise. The servers and rest of workers are looked pretty young and were very nice and accomodating. I had a group of 6 people and we all ordered a lot, yet the workers were working their hardest to bring out the food and drinks in a timely manner. The overall ambiance of the establishment is very hip with its sofas/chairs on one side and the books/magazines on another. They have mugs, mason jars, etc. to use as cups if needed, which I thought was cool (but I hope they clean it well!). Decent food. Great coffee. Quick service!

Yelp
Pretty eclectic place that someone told us had good food. Open 7 to 3. Some of the outside furniture could use repair. Lunch is about a dozen uniquely made sandwiches made on artisan bread or wrap named after dogs in the pictures. The Banjo was turkey, spinach and mayo on artisan bread. The Bella was roast beef, boursin cheese, with a tomato wrap (it was delicious). They have gourmet ice coffee and hot teas or bottled cold drinks. Outside and inside seating but no table service.

Yelp
Nice little place in Gardiner, MT. Stopped by for a quick bite before heading into north Yellowstone. The service was quick and people friendly.

Yelp
Pretty cool place. Decent food and nice hosts. Love the environment friendly aspect. Kick back on the patio or enjoy some warmth inside with books. Open on Labor Day.
google avatar

Jayashree S.

Yelp
Loved the whole vibe of the place. This is the best store for coffee, quick breakfast and sandwiches. We visited this place every morning on our trip to Yellowstone, one of the places which opens up early compared to the rest. Loved their Latte, Mocha, Bagels and Pumpkin bread (must try if you are there).

Thomas F.

Yelp
WE LOVED IT here. Local shop, nice people, fresh made food, fair prices and yes, it tastes very very good. Such a cool relaxed place.

Yelp
Cute little place, comfy and quaint. Food was good, prices were great and the staff is friendly. We will be making this place a regular anytime we visit Gardiner.

Yelp
Good coffee. Good breakfast options. Outside setting. ...(Not sure why yelp requires 85 characters)
google avatar

Ryan J.

Yelp
Terrible coffee. The cold brew tastes like water even with a double shot of espresso. Hate leaving a bad review for a bookstore.
google avatar

Acacia L.

Yelp
The vanilla chai I ordered was absolutely delicious! I was slightly disappointed with the yogurt parfait, but it was still edible. My boyfriend ordered a bacon burrito and received a hair in the middle. I did leave a generous tip, and I usually hate to leave bad reviews, but this experience was sub par.
google avatar

Uma P.

Yelp
Is a pretty nice coffee shop. Have to wear a mask inside. Lots of variety of coffees. Coffee was delicious. There is outdoor seating. It is a little messy appearing inside, maybe a little disheveled. Overall, I enjoyed the coffee and hanging out outside. The bathrooms are clean. If you need a quick place to grab a cup of coffee and good service I recommend you go here. The prices are decent street parking everywhere. I think they have food too but we didn't get any. Not sure about their store hours but it's close to everything in Gardiner.
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
Pretty decent choice for the limited options in Gardiner/ right outside of Yellowstone. The gluten free bread didn't fall apart, and the cashier was nice enough to verify that the gluten free bread can go in the toaster that the other bread has been in. I had a egg, cheese, and ham sandwich. Fairly priced. Lots of cheese! Two thin slices of deli ham (that's what it looked like at least). It was a good start to the day. A few tables and a little bar, facing out, with a big window. There are various books scattered throughout the bookshelves that seem to center around Yellowstone mainly. Quaint... which I think describes most of the restaurants and stores in this little town.
google avatar

Zurdar G.

Yelp
We had a hot mocha and a breakfast burrito. I originally wanted the ice blended mocha but they ran out. They also didn't have smoothies. But nonetheless what we ordered was good. The cashier was adorably sweet. Warm smile. They also come out to serve you if you sit outside. We saw some elk across the street this morning too. Mother and baby. This place is cute. Nice ambience. Be patient, takes about 10 min or so to get your food. Drink takes a few.
google avatar

Luisa B.

Yelp
Fantastic little coffee shop. We had the breakfast burritos and the bagel ham and egg sandwich. It was exactly what we were expecting and the book store ambiance really added to the experience. Their latte was quite good. Would definitely go back. A quick stop before heading to the park.
google avatar

Arshiya F.

Yelp
Came in for lunch and coffee. Their espresso drinks were pretty good- i tasted the huckleberry latte which wasn't too sweet. Our party of three each got a sandwich. Sandwiches were decent- nothing to write home about but the options here are DEFINITELY better than those in the park. Also, they a cute shop attached with books and accessories for sale!
google avatar

Jordan D.

Yelp
Stopped in to do some journaling while indulging in a breakfast sandwich and coffee. The journaling was great, but unfortunately the rest was just eh. I got an everything bagel with 2 eggs and cheese - the bagel was delicious. But the rest was thin and oily for some reason, like a slice of cheese pizza that you need to dab with a napkin. The coffee on the other hand was good, and I liked that I could fill my own mug - however, they ran out while we were there and the staff didn't seem to keen on making more. The location is perfect, the name and the building is very cute, but the food was just subpar. Thankfully the prices were very good! Also, they were playing angsty, early 2000's punk music, so I got a kick out of that!
google avatar

Rob Y.

Yelp
The tourists go to Yellowstone Perk but the locals go to Tumbleweed, and for good reason. The food and the coffee/espresso drinks are fresher and better, the prices are 1/2 of the tourist trap, and the staff are much friendlier too.
google avatar

Dawn P.

Yelp
This is a tired and dirty establishment. We went in for coffee and to look at the books. We walked in and no one greeted us or even looked up really. We were told no espresso and we could go down the street if we wanted any. We hung out for about 10 minutes looking at books and then left. Weird place with cranky employees.
