Great food and great brews! If you're at the Sheraton or visiting the convention center, then you can't go wrong here!

While at a conference in the Atlantic City Convention Center, a few of us attendees came here for lunch. This pub/restaurant is in the Sheraton across the driveway from the Convention Center, so it’s a very quick walk from the conference. The place was packed during lunchtime, as I imagine it always is when bigger conferences are in town. We got seats at the bar. The bartenders taking care of us were friendly and helpful… they were great! But the kitchen seemed a little backed up. It took about 20 mins for my food to arrive. Once it got there, it was really good! Their French Dip is made with a really tasty, fresh, tender beef and the bun and broth were both excellent too. I got mine with onion rings instead of fries and those onion rings were great. Overall, the food and venue was great. Nice menu too! But the slow kitchen is why I’m knocking them down a star. Definitely worth stopping in tho!!

Recommended for groups. This place is conveniently connected to our Sheraton hotel, and big, spacious, clean atmosphere. It is also dog friendly (patio outside), doggy menu and dog water bowls. Our group enjoyed the chicken sandwich, crab cake sandwich, chicken cesar salad and crab cake meals. Food was good, service was good and friendly. Lots of house brews and broad food and wines available. Enjoy!

Google
This place is great. There is plenty of seating, tasty beer selection, and good menu options with the food being tasty!! I recommend the Nashville hot and the beer flight so you can try what they have on offer. I personally enjoy the Tun Pale Ale 🍺 friendly bartenders and fast service. They have a parking lot right out front of the Sheraton you can park at. Also convenient if you want to do some shopping first and then come and relax have a beer 🍻 cheers!

Google
Nice atmosphere, brewery themed decor, comfortable booths, large bar and pleasant waiter. Limited Menu. Food cooked spot on and tasty. Portion value average. No wait at time of visit. Food ready quick. Garlic mashed potatoes was great. In the Sheraton Hotel building with it's own entrance side of building. Has it's own parking lot across the street, free if validated in restaurant or 10.00 at time of this visit. Note: this restaurant is not part of the Sheraton, so if you are a guest in the Sheraton you can not charge to your room Also note: there is a Sheraton guest elevator to the hotel 2nd floor (room key needed), so you would not need to go outside and walk around.

My husband (a veteran) and I had been to Tun Tavern several years ago in Philadelphia so when we came to Atlantic City we saw there was one there. We parked across the street which was supposedly free parking for customers of the Tun Tavern. The parking attendant took our $10 and said we get it back when we brought back the validated ticket, which we did. But the guy had disappeared. We waited for about 20 minutes but he was gone. Its not the $10 but we just felt scammed. The restaurant was fine but it was not the way to end a nice dinner.

The food was so good that I had a work lunch today, and everything came out perfectly. I had the crab cake sandwich, and it was so yummy! Service was great, and I would recommend this place this to everyone.

Google
Nice outside patio with shade to sit and eat. Perfect if you want to bring your dog with you. They even have a dog menu. Buffalo wings, fish & chips, and chicken salad sandwich were all pretty tasty. Sandwich could've used more chicken salad and a lesser thick/dense bread to be more balanced though. Otherwise, pleasant service and good food. Would come again.

Yelp
I was amazed by how good this place turned out. We ordered buffalo wings and leatherneck fries to start. The wings were Top 3 for me all time. They were crispy on the outside, the buffalo sauce was amazing, and they came off the bone with barely a bite. For the meal, I got the smokehouse burger and my girlfriend got the fish and chips. The fries were amazing. The biggest compliment I can give for this place was our waiter, Dario. Dario was so polite, exceptionally quick, and very helpful to us. He didn't come around too often (which is sometimes annoying to me), but always came by when he saw an empty place or glass. He was super friendly and one of the best waiters I have had. I hope anyone who comes here gets Dario as their waiter!

Yelp
This place is a total dive. Not many beers on draft. The food was overpriced and not memorable. Hard pass.

Mark M.

Yelp
not a good experience. Waitstaff was slow and seemed more interested in chitchatting with each other than serving. Wings were greasy and the carrot sticks were white in some areas and dried out. I wasn't impressed. Seems like they could do better.

Yelp
We came here today for an event and I have to say the service was exceptional. The servers working the party were friendly and always coming around with the passed hors d'oeuvres. The bartender was friendly as well. The food was great especially the little Brie and jam bites. We were going to go to dinner after but we were full on the appetizers. I ordered the bougie pumpkin martini and it was so yummy I had to have 2. I was really pleasantly surprised today at the gathering. Thumbs up all around!

Malou C.

Yelp
The best part of our experience was the service. Our server Corey was great. Also the restaurant is nicely decorated with booths along the back. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. I ordered the salmon which was under seasoned. The onion rings were really greasy. Our server deserves 5 stars and the food is 2 stars.

Eric C.

Yelp
Monday night. Place a little more than half full for MNF. Service was unnecessarily slow. Ordered a flight of 5 and the glasses weren't all full and not in proper order. Stopped in because it says it's a brewery but the beer is unremarkable. I don't think it's made here. Waiter was not friendly. We have 5 in our party so the tip is automatically added - otherwise it would reflect my dissatisfaction

Yelp
ATLANTIC CITY: Tun Tavern Restaurant & Brewery is a place that has been on our list for years and we finally went. Dogs are allowed at their cute outdoor seating area with a great food menu and freshly brewed craft beers. Located in downtown AC and part of the Sheraton Hotel, their roots date back to the 1700's in Philadelphia and where the 1st two battalions of the Marines started. When you go inside the current restaurant in AC, there are memorials and commemorations to soldiers. They even have a doggie menu and Brie loved "The Hipster," a bowl of cooked salmon and white rice. We had a great server too! Easy, fun, and dog friendly!

Eric P.

Yelp
I've eaten at this location many times pre-Covid. It was never strikingly impressive, but decent. Today I ordered Crab Fries, Artichoke Dip, and I got the Cheesesteak. The crab fries didn't have one bit of crab...At least throw some imitation crab in there to look like crab?!? I also believe there wasn't a single artichoke in the artichoke dip. It was honestly terrible. The cheesesteak was highly recommended, and it was the worst cheesesteak I've ever eaten. I will never go back to this place.

Michelle U.

Yelp
We have been coming here for several years now after we hit our trade show for work! The crab soup is a 100 percent must! It is by far the best I have ever had! Wings are good, sandwiches too! It's always a good go to and the service is great!

Agnes V.

Yelp
I love this place. Every time I come to AC I have to stop by to eat. Awesome atmosphere, friendly waiters & the food and drinks are great. We ordered coconut shrimp, leatherneck fries, garlic parmesan wings & crab cake burger. For drinks we had the irish botox and bougie pumpkin martini.

Robert B.

Yelp
If you hate Atlantic City half as much as I do you will LOVE Tun Tavern! They take reservations, have efficient staff, are friendly, the prices were reasonable and the place was clean. Hard to believe, right? They also have food which was handy because after not being conned, threatened or infected for three minutes while still in Atlantic City I was hungry! The crab soup is tremendous! Everything else was very good by normal standards which for Atlantic City makes this place stand-out like the valedictorian of a prison cooking school. Still, if your travel plans call for a trip to Atlantic City and you still are on speaking terms with the person who dragged you there head on over to Tun Tavern. You'll be so grateful to not feel like you are in Atlantic City for an hour you won't even mind that they remind you of that super sad fact by charging 3% on credit cards.

Yelp
Absolutely vile . Sat us at a dirty table with food on the wall and seats. Menus had to be peeled off table to be read. After waiting15 min to be acknowledged by waitress, she took our order and drinks .My younger daughter spilt her drink, and then kindly asked hostess for something to clean it up,she handed her a dirty towel to clean it herself. When waitress arrived we asked for napkins , she threw them on the table and walked away offering no help. Food was delivered by runner who had his fingers basically touching the food. Silverwear was then dropped, borderline thrown to table individually after touching waitress's hands. This place is disgusting . My 7 yr old did not even have an appetite to eat after watching the service and lack of cleanliness. We watched our waitress return to our table from bathroom , rub her hands down her face and proceed to serve other tables. VIAL! Deserves 1/2 a star.

Jacey H.

Yelp
Food was good, a little greasy. Our waitress was great. I think the food was a good price for what we ordered. However I think a few things were way overpriced.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. The bartender was knowledgeable and very nice. Great vibe after a long day.

Amaya H.

Yelp
Did not allow me to do take out. Sat at the bar, and ordered food. It came out in 5 minutes with is concerning. It wasn't made to order. Fried pickles were over cooked. No veggies on the burger. It was plain and dry. The truffle Fries were just okay. Kind of cold

Pamela B.

Yelp
Came here for lunch after the RnR expo. Place is nice and staff is nice. There's a large selection of beers and full bar. So you won't be thirsty. I tried a darker lager which was tasty. My bf and bestie like sour beers which was limited and they didn't care for the ones they tried. The chili cheese dog was delish. As was the crab cake sammy and sweet potato fries. Good food and good vibe.

Sanjana S.

Yelp
Came here for a date night in Atlantic City and was not disappointed by the food! We were craving burgers after a day in the sun and were happy when we discovered this place. It is a 10 min drive from the shore but right next to the Sheraton so we walked over after getting ready in our hotel room. Ordered 2 burgers with seasoned and sweet potato fries and my oh my were they filling! The quantity was HUGE and my fries were a perfect midnight snack for later. The waitress was also sooo sweet with recommendations and got us some drinks on the house. Love the vibe of this place too- like an upscale pub!

Amanda K.

Yelp
We only came here initially because of the parking deal- get reimbursed $10 for parking if you spend $10 here. We got the wings, onions rings & French fries. Our fave was definitely the onion rings.

John D.

Yelp
The quintessential drink spot.....well the only close drink spot to the AC convention center. Always 5 of their own crafted brews on tap to lap down after walking the hall at the convention center. Minimal menu of bar grub with some higher end dinner options like the $45 cowboy steak, which is gray but ouchie on the $. Love the blue crab fries. I'd sum it up by saying they get the job done, not amazing and nothing bad.

Jim L.

Yelp
Their food is pretty good. I really liked their wings! Their pulled pork is not bad too! The price is descent, it's a great lunch place! Only downside is parking. You'll have to park somewhere on the street and walk a little if you don't want to pay for parking

Mimi M.

Yelp
After shopping for hours it feels good to sit down-, have a drink and a bite to eat It was not a terrible experience at Tun, but I'm not sure I'll go back. At least not for food. The place and atmosphere itself is pretty sad actually Burger greasy, nachos same and service quite interested in non local patrons

Dawn F.

Yelp
stopped at Tun Tavern for lunch. This is a brewery so you won't find anything other that what they brew. I had the Diving Horse IPA - delicious. hoppy but not overly hoppy. hubby had the pine tail which is very very wheaty. upon the advice of the bartender, we ordered the meatballs and marscapone. she was right, it is delicious. i had chicken fingers and fries - best in the area (i have been checking them out). highly recommend Tun Tabern

Frank N.

Yelp
We went for my special 70th birthday. We went early on a Wednesday so it was pretty empty. We sat at the bar. I tried two of their beers and I thought very good. Oktoberfest and an IPA. For Dinner we split a house salad. Plenty for two and it was a nice fresh salad. We had their large pretzel which came with 4 dipping sauces. It was served hot and we really enjoyed it. My wife ordered the Crabcakes which came with rice and spinach. She loved it as did I as we shared. The rice was very good and the spinach leafy and nicely done. I had the balsamic salmon which also came with rice and spinach. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Our server and bartender was very attentive. She was great. We were hopeful it would be good despite a few not so good reviews. All we can say is it was delicious, nice decor and atmosphere, and great service. Free parking too right across the street. It could not have been better.

Gregg P.

Yelp
This place is the package deal! Great food, great beer great people! We come to Atlantic City every year for Irish dance competitions and stop here every time, sometimes more than once. Beers are always fresh cold and many local brews on tap! $16 growler refill. Veteran discount! It is the place to chill and spend time with friends. Service is polite, friendly and not rushed making you feel like you are at a welcome home. Highly recommend

Lamar O.

Yelp
This place low key good time! We came just in time as they were closing! FYI during covid, they close based on the patronage of the night! The more people, the longer they stay open. All of the staff were kind and cool! They were doing a lot of cleaning around the place as we were eating which shows me they are serious about covid preventative measures! They had ufc and tennis playing. The prices of the food were pricy but nonetheless the food was delicious! The drinks came in pretty big glass compared to other places and were $13. We had the Mai Tai and Peach whiskey specialty drinks - and they were good but could use more alcohol! Good food, good people, good place to chill.

Special K.

Yelp
I'll donate three starts because it's very cool and has a great bar. So I guess belly up and order a straight pour of your favorite booze because how can you screw that up? You can't. But everything else? Not good. Guys, go across the street to wing stop and learn how to make a good wing! It's not that hard. Figure it out! A burger? How can your burger's stink? It's a burger! This is America! Come on! You have a great place and you can't make an acceptable burger and wings? That's not possible. Get it together!

T W.

Yelp
Chicken sandwich was delicious. $6 for two cokes was obnoxious. I asked the bar tender and he just said "They charge for refills". That's why Atlantic City sucks.

Toms R.

Yelp
Not sure why it's only 2.5 stars average , great beer, friendly bartenders, good food what else do you need. The crab soup is the best !

Kari C.

Yelp
I had low expectations after raking through the reviews of this establishment, however I can confidently say that I was pleasantly pleased. We attended a conference at the nearby convention center, and at lunch half of the conference goers ransacked the Tavern. This caused huge wait times. For improved service, the restaurant might consider consulting with the convention center and/or attached hotel where conference goers were lodged for an itinerary. This will assist with an improved plan for handling a flood of people. Our table had a round of crab fries which were phenomenal. If you don't get anything else, go with that! They were amazing. I chose a crab cake sandwich for my lunch and it too was filled with delishious crab. I would venture here again when in the area. Affordable and tasty eats.

Tabitha L.

Yelp
Had dinner at the bar last night. Awesome bar staff. The young man running food was just delightful as well. Food was delish! We had garlic parm wings, brisket Sammy, and pub burger. Burger was cooked perfectly! So glad we didn't listen to the reviews that were not happy because we sure were!

Ken P.

Yelp
Worst restaurant ever. Take your pick why - 2 hour wait, wrong orders, flat soda, or moldy pickles...

Danny K.

Yelp
Hi everyone, this is a review I dread writing because our server was great but my main course, a $42.00 8oz fillet minion was anything but that, ordered medium, arrived hokey puck impersonation, overcooked and tough as a rock The sever removed the charge, rightfully so and made an effort, no manager intervention, just the server, I felt sorry for her, she was noticeable ashamed and yet stayed profesional and helped They're lucky to have good help like her, the only positive thing on that place tonight Again to our server, thank you

Mark Z.

Yelp
I really didn't think this place was as bad as a lot of folks were making it out to be. Maybe my wife and I caught them on a good night. There was a decent amount of seats outside and distanced pretty well due to all the Covid 19 stuff. Our waitress was very nice and friendly toward us. I did not feel customer service was lacking here at all. The beers were okay at best. They were nothing mind-blowing, so don't expect much if you're a beer nerd. I did enjoy the food here though. The Mexican street corn dip was so addicting. So much cheesey goodness and slight sweetness from the corn. I got scallops as my entree. Scallops were cooked perfectly and the vegetables had a great char on them. I definitely enjoyed this spot and hope to return.

Barry B.

Yelp
I love going to the Tun! I have never had a bad meal here and the selection of beer is amazing. My favorite is the wing or the crab cakes. I trained the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious! This is a great spot you can't go wrong here.

Ruth C.

Yelp
Great food and drinks! The girls loved the chicken tenders. The waiter young gentleman was friendly and was attentive.

Rocio B.

Yelp
I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this place . Me and my fiancé come to Atlantic City very often and like trying to new places to go eat .. Since weather is getting a bit nicer I though of looking to go some where with my furbabies .. I am so happy we came because from the minute we got there to the minute we left service was EXCELLENT . DARÍO was our server , he brought water to my babies right away, sanitize our table as well . Explained the beer selection they had and even brought some for my fiancé to try !! He was awesome and super attentive to our needs ! We order the pulled pork sandwich, and the steakhouse burger , both delicious !!!! The Cabernet sauce they have is to die for !! My furnbabies had the angus beef with rice ! A place that has a dog menu is my favorite place !!! And we couldn't leave without trying their onion rings that looked delicious ... AND THEY WERE !! Omg one of the best I have tried !! My fiancé said that their Amigo beer was awesome too and we took some to go as well .. Thankyou so much ... hope this helps and hope you have the same expierence we did !! Defffff coming back !!

Nancy P.

Yelp
We were at the AC outlets shopping and decided to catch lunch. We had parked near the convention center and had gotten a parking pass that said- eat at Tun Tavern and we could park for free. We decided to do that. We were very pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent, the different beers that they make on the premises were fun and delicious. I had the pulled pork- it was outstanding! The soup and French fries were perfect! We ended up buying 3 different beers in their 32oz. Travel beer cans. Our waiter- Vince- was entertaining and a very likable guy! Thanks Vince for an enjoyable experience!

Nicole B.

Yelp
Cool local brewery located in the Sheraton hotel and next to the AC Convention Center. Outlets are adjacent as well. Good food and reasonably priced. Beer selection is good and they have a full bar as well with other options. This is a tavern and they have a full menu. Local brewed beer from there is on tap and available to purchase for home. Tavern is Marine inspired and decorated the same.

Jameesa R.

Yelp
We loved Tun Tavern!! Ryan was super helpful and suggestively picked out my drinks. This is the first bar I've sat at, on my birthday. Food, drinks and music was more than excellent. Thank you for having us before closing!

Daniel H.

Yelp
This restaurant is disgusting, not even at the level of a dive bar. The floor and decor are filthy. People leave half-eaten plates of food. I tried to order a simple whiskey sour and it was undrinkable. The whiskey was so cheap I couldn't even taste it. I should have listened to my fellow Yelp reviewers.

Noel B.

Yelp
4 solid stars. We spent a better part of the day at the dog park In Long Beach and needed someone that was dog friendly. We googled and found this restaurant had 5 bones on a doggie site for dog friendly restaurants in the area. Easy free parking - paid $10 upfront, but our parking was validated and we were refunded. Parking is literally across the street, so it's super easy too. Food was good, but very typical for restaurants like this. I had the cheesesteak, which I thought was excellent! One really cool thing this place does is the doggie menu! The waitstaff also brought out a bowl of water for both dogs too. Con: Wait time - we sat down, the waitress gave us the menus then walked away then showed up 15 minutes later to take our drink orders. We would come back just because of how dog friendly this restaurant is and how easy it was to get there - just fix the wait times and you're good!

Jason S.

Yelp
(2.5 stars) Disappointing experience. Food was very overpriced, which I guess isn't too surprising given its Atlantic City, but also very mediocre. The best thing honestly was the inferno hot sauce. Other than that, not worth the stop. The food was edible but forgettable. The golden ale was a letdown, the blue claw fries just a glop of cheese atop lukewarm fries drenched in old bay seasoning with hard to locate crab meat, the wings themselves fine but the parm garlic flavor a poor choice, and the bill way too high.

Skye M.

Yelp
service was okay , they make you pay tables all on one bill. Everything is over priced your better off getting an appetizer and a side of fries. The artichoke spinach dip is disgustinggggggg but the chips were good. it is also freezing in here my fingers were getting numb. your better of getting Applebee's across the street. The drinks...... are four dollars no refills with a small cup. I just would not recommend this place

Linh L.

Yelp
We were trying to look for a brunch spot on a saturday afternoon around 2PM and it seems there were not many walkable options around Tanger outlet. So we walked here (its located right under Sheraton hotel). We were seated right away, servers were nice. We ordered a bunch of items to share. We got the buffalo wings (definitely enjoyed them, they were juicy and not small wings!!), french fries with crabmeat and cheese (this was pretty decent cos u can literally taste the chunks of crabmeat, no skimping at all!), coconut shrimp (they used jumbo fresh shrimps so it tasted great! Sis thought the sauce was abit spicy for her liking but i like spice!), fish tacos (this was probably the only okay dish, it was on a quesadilla looking tortilla and had melted cheese with battered cod fish. It wasnt bad but it was okay). Gf and i ordered the peach sangria and it was very watery, maybe too much ice and it melted quickly so we didnt taste any alcohol. Staff were all wearing masks, there was hand sanitizers out in the open for customers to use. I didnt goto the bathroom here during my visit so i am not sure abt the cleanliness condition of the bathroom. We did see staff spraying down tables after each party leaving. Indoor and outdoor dining available.

Lisa R.

Yelp
The food here was good I really did enjoy the flatbread. The scallops were also fine very well. We had an attentive waitress who did a great job checking in with us throughout our time there. They only had one dessert option which was cheese cake. But other than that we had a good time. The beers were limited to only 5 I did end up getting a flight which I did enjoy but the beers weren't to my liking... that's personal tho. The selection of food was good with large food menu. The only thing is that they were out of a few things on the menu which is a little disappointing. They are reasonably priced for what we got. The outdoor area was nice we enjoyed sitting out there and enjoying the weather. The inside was ACed and nice as well they do have a large space. Parking is across the street $10 cash but they will give you back $10 before you leave the restaurant. The parking is across the street- it was convenient for us.

Nancy W.

Yelp
Was a little concerned because the reviews recently were so bad. This place was a favorite of ours. Happy to say it was a great experience Parking next door is a treat love the system they have to pay and get the money back when you return your ticket. The food was Great, service wonderful from being seated to waitress Thank you Abriyah ... drinks were so good we had another round. I am sure the pandemic hit this place hard because of the hotel and convention center not being used much but we found the experience very pleasant and can't wait to return.

Annmarie C.

Yelp
ordered the roast beef dip well done and it came red. they refused to make it well done after it came. The manager wouldn't do anything about it and this place is a joke. they kept saying it only came in one temperature. Absolutely ridiculous. So I ordered the brisket with no BBQ sauce. It came out with BBQ sauce. Horrible customer service. After 1 hour we left without eating.

Trent B.

Yelp
Outstanding food and craft beer. Wonderful service. My daughter and I went here after a vaccination: what an amazing surprise. These are the best wings we have had in forever: we literally tried to remember the last time we had wings this good...ordered and extra pound and got Diving Horse IPA crowlers to go. Seems Tun would thrive in a convention center world, but they need our help to keep rocking right now. Whether you're waiting for someone getting a shot or making this a destination, get in here and enjoy free parking in a prime AC location.

Nicole S.

Yelp
Food was mediocre. I had to send 3 dishes back. Would not recommend.
