My husband and I came here for a date night. When we first arrived, I was a little concerned because the restaurant wasn’t very busy, which made me hesitant—but since it was a special night out, I decided to go with the flow.
The interior is absolutely beautiful. The decor and ambiance are modern, clean, and very welcoming. It definitely has a nice atmosphere for a night out.
We were seated fairly quickly and waited about 3–4 minutes before our server (I believe her name was Shelly or Shelby?) came by. She didn’t smile upon greeting us, which I noticed right away, but she was still polite and professional throughout our service.
We started with the fried pickles, which were exactly that—fried pickles. Nothing special, but also nothing wrong with them either. Pretty standard.
For our entrées, I ordered the Asheville Hot Chicken & Ranch Melt, and my husband got the Sweet & Spicy Chicken and Waffles. He really enjoyed his meal and said he’d order it again.
Now, about my sandwich—I truly hate to say this, but it was hands down the worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I couldn’t taste anything. No flavor, no seasoning, not even salt. It was so strange that I had my husband try it too, just to make sure I wasn’t imagining it. He agreed—no flavor whatsoever. It honestly left me confused and disappointed, especially given how promising the menu and setting were.
While I loved the environment, something about the food just felt… off. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but flavor was seriously lacking, at least for my dish.
Overall, I’d give the atmosphere a solid 9/10, the service a 7/10, but the food—unfortunately—was a letdown.
