Fantastic brunch spot! Hubby and I met a friend here when we were in town. Loved the shopping/eating area! The service was great and the food was even better. I also ordered a side of biscuits but they forgot to bring them which is in my best interest lol! Great spot for brunch! The grits are the absolute best! Must visit.

Never had to ask for a drink refill. Our server was awesome! Everything was really good. The chicken tenders were a little overdone, but they were still very good. Love the vibe of this place!

I quite enjoyed Saturday brunch here at Tupelo. The staff was very kind and we were seated immediately. Parking is a bit of a walk away but there is a parking garage that should have available spots consistently. You just may be stuck in the garage if there is quite a bit of people. Great location for this restaurant and a lovely collection of southern cuisines in a modern take. Must try the sriracha chicken and waffles. Even the biscuits and gravy was decadent and delicious. I also got the shrimp and grits which I had high hopes for but the grits wasn’t creamy enough and the shrimps were flavorful but lacked spice. I asked for hot sauce on the side and that helped a bunch! The drink menu is very interesting! I recommend the butterfly pea lemonade. But I have to say, for a place that serves brunch, there is very poor coffee options. They offer cold brew or house coffee without many flavoring options. Do not get the cold brew, it was so sour tasting that we had to send it back. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our brunch experience at Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar!

Came here on a Saturday night on a reservation for 6:30, party of 8 and had a great experience. Our server, Treyvion was outstanding and took care of us and always re-filled our drinks. It was my first time here and the food had lots of flavor! I like how even though it was busy, it wasn’t super loud so you could still hear your own table without talking loud. Overall, the atmosphere is nice and I would come back! I ordered the Sriracha fried chicken and waffles and rosemary & Parmesan potatoes! Very yummy!

I tried this place in Boise Idaho, the atmosphere was great but the customer service was a 5 star plus. In Boise I had the Shrimp and Grits and it was the bomb. So we decided to try the one out here in Frisco since we live here. First of all the atmosphere was definitely nice but the customer service was nothing like Boise. The waiters were nice but Boise waitresses have way more hospitality and energy. In Frisco we had the fried green tomatoes and they were definitely great, we had the fried chicken and the thing crispy on the chicken were the ends and the bottom of the chicken. That chicken had no flavor on the inside and definitely wasn't crispy, but the fries were good. We also had the Asheville Hot Fried Chicken, it tasted ok but it wasn't hot at all. Just a little note, my favorite dish is macaroni and cheese (I make it homemade) and at both restaurants the servers said don't get it because it doesn't taste well at all at Tupelo Honey. You all might want to find a better recipe if your own employees say that particular popular dish doesn't taste well.

We dined at Tupelo Honey for a friend's birthday. We made a reservation through Open Table as this place is fairly packed! I ordered the Mac-n-cheese Waffles with Asheville Hot Fried Chicken as the combination of flavors sounded delicious. The mac and cheese was my favorite component; amazing texture, creamy, cheesy, and with great flavor. The fried chicken was good too - nice and crispy, not dry, altthough I prefer a thicker batter/coating. The waffle could've used a bit more time on the iron. Despite some room for improvement on individual components, the dish had good overall flavor. The sum was greater than its parts. For drinks, I had the Magic Lemonade - tableside color-changing experience with butterfly pea flower syrup. The color-changing effect was cool, but the taste of the cocktail was just okay. It needed more lemon flavor and a bit less sweetness. I could barely taste the alcohol, which might be a plus or minus depending on your preference. Our waitress was super nice, but the food did take a while to come out. The inside is fairly busy but it is very cute. Parking can be tricky, but there's a parking garage nearby. Overall, I had a great time at Tupelo Honey and would recommend it!

Google
Tupelo Honey is one of our favorite places for brunch. Their Chicken and Waffles are excellent, but the Avo Toast is a close second. We always order Biscuits for a Cause to start, which gives a % of the $ to charity. I’m rating them 4 stars on Food because they reduced their biscuit order from three to two, and their portions seemed smaller than before.

A friend and I stopped by for dinner late Tuesday evening. I had only been one other time early morning for a networking event at 10 on Wednesdays but also to their dance night on the weekends. All three times I’ve been there, the atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. I appreciate the variety in foods that they offer. My friend and I had some Salmon cakes, so delicious! Crispy and soft in the center. I got the harvest bowl with chicken. Although the chicken was a bit dry, it was quite savory. I ordered a BLT chicken sandwich to go and oh my! Best midnight snack ever!! We finished dinner with a mouth watering banana pudding desert and a complimentary delicious chocolate cake! -thanks Kiyle! Definitely satisfied with my dining experience here, I recommend that you come and see for yourself next time you’re at the star! And!! Macy, our server, was simply phenomenal! 5 out of 5 stars!! ⭐️

Yelp
Visited Tupelo's for the first time last Saturday for brunch and brought out of town guests. We were all very happy with the experience. We made reservations ahead of time and I am so glad we did as after we arrived at 10am, the place really started to fill up! The service was attentive and fast (thank you, Landon!) and all of our entrees were delicious. We hadn't been to Tupelo's before, and we will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
I used to love this place. Recently I visited again after a while. Not only they changed their menu pretty significant- the flavor and quality was not the same as it used to be when they first opened. They used to have a fried chicken plate and it wasn't offered anymore. Their biscuits used to taste homemade and they were delicious. This time around they felt like frozen biscuits that were warmed up for that moment. I was so disappointed. Many places in my area tend to do this. They start with a bang and then the quality/ingredients/service starts to diminish. It seems that's the case with Tupelo. Maybe that's why it was empty on a Saturday midday (which used to have a waiting list back when they opened). Service was not the best either even though it was not full. The place still looks pretty inside and it used to be a fantastic place to either go with the family/friends or even a date. Very disappointed. I will not be surprised if they'll end up closing.

Yelp
Not a terrible experience here but overall not a great one either. The ambiance was a little bit more casual than we were expecting with loud music and bright lights. It was also a bit dirty inside the restaurant as a whole. This was not a huge deal, but then we also ended up with somewhat lousy service as well. Our waitress was distracted and rushed. We were left waiting multiple times with just a "I'll be back" or "just one second". It's possible that they were understaffed. The coffee was decent, and I will say the food was delish! I had the hot chicken and Mac waffles and it was spicy for a wuss like me but very yummy with lots of flavor. Husband had the smothered chicken and Mac and cheese and that was to die for. The lavender lemonade was wayyyy too tart. Not a huge fan of that. Otherwise, a kind of "mid" experience. Not really a place I'd recommend for a romantic date night (which was what we were going for).

Yelp
I've visited this location a few times and it never disappoints. Recently visited to enjoy a Father's Day brunch with my family. We order the Brussel sprouts for a starter. I also had to order the fried green tomatoes, which is upon a bed of grits. I like to try new dishes when visiting establishments, but it's a bit difficult to try here. The first time I visited, I tried the 'sriracha honey fried chicken & waffles', haven't been able to try anything else since. This time around I also added an order of greens and added diced fresh jalapeños & hot sauce to spice it up. I look forward to experiencing this dish again.

Yelp
Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar is a southern style restaurant located in Frisco, Texas. I've had brunch at this establishment three times, so I figured it was time to write a review. For starters, we had the "biscuits for a cause" served with blueberry jam and fried green tomatoes served over heirloom grits and goat cheese. Both were superb. For my meal, I had the "sriracha honey friend chicken and waffles." The sriracha sauce is amazing. No sides come with this meal, so if you have a hearty appetite, make sure you order your bacon and eggs on the side. My friend enjoyed the smothered chicken and biscuits. I wasn't in the mood for mimosa's, so I ordered a bottle of wine with my meal and my friends ordered the mimosa flights, which I'm happy I decided to opt out, because they're made with a flavored syrup of some sort, which was way too sweet for my liking. Overall, our time here was pleasant. Our server was attentive, they seated us on time for the reservation and the food was good.

Yelp
Walking up it's a nice vibe inside, walked to the front darks to ask, where is the restroom and how do I get into the patio. Walked over to the restroom, it shows handicap on the outside, but walking in. It is not for the mobility impaired. I went over to the patio, it has a push button switch to allow mobility impaired people outside, but it wasn't working, and pushing the door was difficult. The food was delicious, and the staff is very friendly.

Yelp
Great southern style restaurant located in the Frisco Star. Great chicken and sides plus more.

Yelp
I recently ordered from Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar via DoorDash and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I tried the Fried Pickles, Crispy French Fries, and the Chocolate Lovin' Spoon Cake. Regrettably, both the fried pickles and fries were overbearing with salt, making them almost inedible. The excessive salt overshadowed any other flavors and made for an unpleasant eating experience. As a fan of chocolate desserts, I was excited to try the Chocolate Lovin' Spoon Cake. However, it didn't live up to expectations. The cake had an off taste and a texture that was less than appealing. Overall, the meal was a letdown, and I won't be ordering from Tupelo Honey again. The food didn't meet the mark, and I was left quite disappointed. However, given the positive reviews, I might consider dining in at the restaurant to see if the food is better in-house.

Erica W.

Yelp
Gumbo had no seasoning other than tasting burnt. Chicken was EXTRA salty. Collards tasted like water. I had to drench it in hot sauce. Drinks were good. Service was okay. Don't have to come back.

Tammy M.

Yelp
Delicious food! Crispy fried chicken and fried green tomatoes with the best collards ever! We got the dusted chicken dark meat, and the sweet and spicy dark meat, fried tomatoes were over grits, amazing!!

Terrance G.

Yelp
Decided to stop by here for brunch while at the star and this was my first time trying a Tupelo honey. I didnt know what I've been missing. From the service to the food everything was delicious. They offer. A good variety of drinks and you can upsize mimosas. It can get slightly pricey but that's frisco for you I highly recommend the fried pickles, some of the best I've had in a long while and the sriracha honey chicken and waffles is a must have. The spice isn't to overpowering either so definitely give it a try. It's also a large spot and can fit a variety of tables and offers enough since where you can have a conversation without yelling at one another.

Marisa H.

Yelp
Tupelo Honey offers a delightful dining experience with its charming Southern ambiance and innovative twist on classic comfort food. Service is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. While some items can be a bit pricey, the overall quality and unique flavors make it worth a visit. The chicken and waffles is definitely a must!

Jerrett D.

Yelp
Greeeeaaattt tasting food! We have visited this place in two different states and enjoyed it both times! It's a bit pricey, but still very very good! Love the southern vibes and the clean look of the place!

Yelp
We were in Frisco to visit family and the menu for Tupelo Honey had caught our eye while browsing. It's near the STAR area for the Dallas Cowboys and it's like. a strip mall of shoppes, bars, and restaurants, but most of the parking on the actual street is for valet. We ended up driving through and parked for free on the angled parking outside of the parking garage and walked over. We came around 5PM on 6/12 and my husband and I were able to get seated rather quickly. The ambiance was classy but not overly stuffy. They had a bar on one length of the room, a padded booth seating wall, and table tops. There was a giant 4 screen display in the bar area as well. I had noticed that with a Yelp check-in you could get a free "small plate". Our server said that would qualify for a Beginner (appetizer) which they had a wide range of items. I had decided on the fried pickles, got a Diet Coke, and my husband got an iced tea. The glasses had a fun logo cursing hen shadow that said "Madder Than a Wet Hen". I'm not sure I understood how that connected to the vibe of the bar, but it was funny. My husband decided to get the blackened mahi-mahi with a side of fries and the sausage & beer gumbo. I opted for the blackened shrimp po'boy (fried) with a side of caesar salad, along with the fried pickle appetizer. Unfortunately, and also to our server's dismay, the food all came out at the same time, but we didn't mind. The blackened mahi-mahi was served with a scoop of a creole butter which was so delicious. After letting me sneak a bite, he proceeded to smother it all over his fish. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. When I took a spoonful of gumbo, I must have gotten a pepper because it made me cough, but in a good way. It wasn't that bad in the end as my husband finished it off and he is a rather tame pallet. The blackened shrimp po'boy was stuffed with shrimp and avocado and was full of flavor. My only complaint was that I wish the bread was more toasted and less chewy; I know you cannot replicate the po'boy bread they have in NOLA, but if it were crisper, it would have been even better. The caesar salad was of decent size. The fried pickles were lightly breaded and thinly sliced and refreshing. It was almost a thinner version of zucchini coins and I ate them all! It was a great meal and we were both very happy and full. I actually ended up taking half of the po'boy and half of the salad back with me and ate it the next day and was still very happy. Next time we come back to visit, this is on our list to stop by again!

Yelp
The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Max was our server. He was very attentive and well mannered. He gave us suggestions. A young lady brought our food to the table and asked if we needed any like hot sauce and jelly. She had a lovely smile and was friendly. She brought back what we needed in a timely manner. My husband and daughter were with me. The cold brew coffee and hot coffee were excellent. Creamer came in little silver creamers not the peel off the plastic cup. I love having fresh cream for my coffee. My husband had the Farmhouse Breakfast Platter, my daughter had the Avocado Sunrise Scramble, and I had the Mountain Morning Bowl. All dishes were so tasty and delicious. The dishes were the right amount of food. We didn't leave hungry. Excellent atmosphere and clean. Delicious food!

Lindsey C.

Yelp
Went here with a friend a while back - they ordered the Mountain Harvest Bowl and really enjoyed it, but they said the bowl didn't have enough shrimp. I really liked the Mac-N-Cheese Waffles with Asheville Hot Fried Chicken; it was super tasty and I love that there was Mac-N-Cheese INSIDE the waffle - don't think I've had something like that before. Their Loaded Potato Cracklins were the perfect appetizer, can't put into words just how good it tasted!

MoShai G.

Yelp
I was in town visiting my best friend and she raved about this place. Overall, the service was pretty good with the server being kind (took awhile to clear up the used items) but overall good service. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with a side of red beans and rice & a caesar salad. I was not a fan of the Mahi Mahi and the butter on top wasnt melted and the food was a bit luke warm so made the experience a little less than great. The best part was that the supervisor gave me a free dessert to make up for it and the banana pudding was ON POINT! Definitely recommend the banana pudding over everything and the sipper drinks were amazing! Great location as well.

Yelp
Tupelo Honey was a treat! I got to visit this restaurant my very first time in Frisco, Texas! I was there a few months ago for a team event my job hosted. The menu impressed me and all of my co-workers. It is steps away from the Dallas Cowboys practice facility. The area was busy due to a training camp fan event happening at the time. Parking was a journey but if not for the Cowboys practicing I think there is ample parking. Tupelo Honey is beautiful. I love the style of the decor and the scenery. Their theme is reimagined southern food in a comfortable yet unique setting. I'll start with drinks. I had a drink of the month that I got twice because it was so good it was called the Summertime Blues. I also had the Açaí of Relief. Very tasty and balanced drinks. My favorite appetizer that I tried was the loaded cracklins! Man these were awesome. They remind me of potato skins. It's parmesan rosemary potato cracklins, pimento cheese, chopped apple cider bacon, scallions, and lime crema all served like mini stuffed baked potatoes. Delicious! Being from Nola I had to try their version of Fried Green Tomatoes. It was good. For the entree I had the Honey dusted bone in half bird with Mac & cheese and braised collard greens. This was the showstopper out the entrees ordered at my table. I had to fight them off for my own food. It was crispy and sweet. Not too sweet but the "bee dust" is a unique element to add to fried chicken. Never had a piece like it before. This was a great experience. Stop here for a different take on some familiar fare.

Yelp
Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #70 Tupelo Honey is a Southern Kitchen and Bar serving tasteful eats seven days a week. Hours of Operation Monday - Thursday (11AM - 9PM) Friday (11 AM - 10PM) Saturday (10 AM - 10PM) Sunday (10 AM - 8PM) Brunch - Every Saturday & Sunday until 4PM Happy Hour - Monday - Friday (3PM - 6PM) There are two locations in Texas. One in Frisco and the other in Las Colinas. I recommend making a reservation on Opentable or through their website to ensure you have seating. I visited this location during lunch and it was pretty open, but began to get busy near the end of my meal. There is plenty of seating both inside, near the bar, and outside on their covered patio. During this visit I received a free snack item for checking in an I tried their Famous Fried Green Tomatoes. I was a little nervous because most restaurants serve these huge slices of green tomatoes, but not Tupelo. There Fried Green Tomatoes were the star of the visit. They were deliciously seasoned and the perfect size. It is served with grits and a sauce and it is a must try in my opinion. I also ordered their famous honey dusted bone in fried chicken with mac n cheese and fries. The fries were plain but the chicken and mac were delicious. On my next visit I will ask if my fires and be coated with some honey dust instead of salt because they were just fries.

Temina C.

Yelp
This is a perfect spot for brunch. This location is by the frisco dallas Cowboys practice stadium, so parking isn't an issue, especially in the garage or on the street. I like this place because it also has outdoor seating so you can bring them. It's pet friendly. After looking at reviews, it seemed like the fried chicken and waffles was the ideal item to order. My cousin ordered the spicy sciracha chicken and waffles, and I got the country traditional chicken and waffles with eggs and gravy. We got coffee, a turmeric ginger tonic, and dessert was pecan pie. Unfortunately, my fried chicken was overcooked, which made it really rubbery. Besides that, everything else was good, but the waffles were delicious!! They were fluffy, and the Maple syrup on it was perfection! We had a really good experience with customer service as well.

Erickita S.

Yelp
The food here was wonderful. I had a grilled shrimp Po boy w avocado with a side of Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was heaven. I loved everything I ate here. I came with a large party and everything was prompt and delicious. Cups were adorable.

Yelp
This is a hard review to make because the food was excellent and the service was terrible. I came here for the first time this past weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a reservation for 11:15am, and were seated near the back of the restaurant. Our server, who was really nice, seemed to be preoccupied with tables on the terrace and our party was forgotten. She would disappear for 30+ min periods at a time and then come back and profusely apologize for being gone so long. We all had places to be that day after brunch, so it was frustrating to be sitting waiting for every step of the meal. To start, we all ordered mimosas, and I ordered a different one from the other two guests in my party. Our server gave us all the same one, and I was going to inform her of that, but she was gone for so long I decided to just drink it. After our starter came, we waited for 35 mins to order our entrees, and had to do so by calling over a different server when ours was no where to be found. She actually placed our order into the system. The food took forever to arrive. It was over an hour and a half into our reservation when we got our entrees. This is not acceptable service and was especially unacceptable for a birthday occasion. The restaurant and our server were both informed of the occasion beforehand as well. After finishing our entrees, we waited 20+ mins for the checks and another 15 minutes to pay. We were in the restaurant for over two hours! The food was really good - I loved the brussels sprouts, fried cauliflower, and biscuits. Keep in mind, the biscuits are HUGE and will fill you up! The ambiance was also fine where we were. There were a lot of large parties. I think we just had a very unfortunate experience and I would possibly consider returning in hopes of a better one because the food really was great.

Stacey R.

Yelp
Sat at bar waiting for my friends. Bar tender was less than friendly. It was not packed at 5:40 pm She acted like she was in the weeds :(. Happy hour prices were fair except to bar food specials end @ 5:30 Drinks end @ 6. We got seated @ 6:15 our server was very friendly but did not know much about the menu. Apps were very good... Fried green tomatoes 5 Stars! I ordered fried chicken sandwich. My chicken was so over done & small. Not sure ill go back.

Mohsin S.

Yelp
southern comfort food served up here. Good selection of appetizers and main entrees. The fried pickles were quite good and crispy. For main dish, I decided to go all in and ordered the Asheville hot chicken with Mac and Chz Waffle. Had no idea how that combo would turn out and was pleasantly surprised. The hot sauce was just right and so was the crispy chicken tenders. The Mac and Chz was well done also. Keep in mind that portions are huge here Service was good. On of our party got their food several minutes late and the server and manager were very apologetic and took it off the bill. A place to return to if I ever crave a heaping of southern food

Cory H.

Yelp
This place was recommended to me by many different people. Knowing it would be crowded, I was glad to see they allow you to make reservations on their website. I made a reservation, and when I arrived, I only waited a few minutes before being seated. My server was very friendly and explained the menu while giving her favorites when I told her Imit was my first time there. The mimosa and the fried pickles I started off with were fantastic. Definitely order the biscuit appetizer. They are huge and delicious. My entree the Sriracha chicken and waffles were amazing, the siracha chicken complimented the waffles really well. This is a great place to come for brunch that I will definitely come visit again.

Nilsa A.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner. The service was great. Comfort food creative menu and signature drinks. Nashville hot chicken with the Mac and cheeses waffles were amazing. The honey siracha sauce was extremely tasty. The place is comfy and beautifully decorated. Definitely will be back!

Kavaragu M.

Yelp
The food was great. Jayla(sp), our server, was absolutely lovely. It was busy but it wasn't too loud and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The only weird vibe I got was when the table behind us broke a glass and someone can to us to ask us about it. I am not sure what that energy was about but I won't think too much into it. I'm going to visit the other location in the metroplex and see how that goes.

Ryanne D.

Yelp
We didn't have reservations, but went around 1115am on a week day. We were seated immediately w a party of 5. They are doing a little construction in the back which created a bit of a mess, but not that big of a deal. Restrooms were good, clean and had the proper needed items. There was one of the 3 stalls closed. Our server was AMAZING!!!! He really made my daughters 18th birthday memorable and I so appreciate that. He even brought her a mini desert w a candle so we could sing. He was interactive w us and wanted to make sure we were happy! The food is delicious! Melts in your mouth! Did bring some home too because servings were good size.

Kyerra B.

Yelp
Okay so this may be an unpopular opinion but I didn't love Tupelo Honey. It was okay but it's not my jam. I'd heard so many positive reviews of this place so decided to check it out for brunch. Shout out to Yelp because when I checked in, I received a free small plate and I ordered the biscuit. The biscuit was hard and dry. I ordered chicken and waffles for my entree and the chicken wasn't seasoned and the waffle was sub par at best. However, the mimosa was delicious! The restaurant itself is spacious, modern, & a vibe!! If anything I'd go back for drinks and vibes....

Jesmin N.

Yelp
Food, ambience, and service were all mediocre. Of all the things we ordered the biscuit with the blueberry jam was the best. It's huge and sharable as an appetizer. The fried chicken was ok but could have used a touch more salt. I will say the honey dust that goes on top is so good! I wanted to sprinkle that on everything! The sweet and spicy sauce that goes on cauliflower bites is good. The cauliflower batter wasn't very crispy and the bottom ones ended up soggy by the time we made our way to the bottom. I loved the blood orange sour lime soda - absolutely puckers your lips!

Therral L.

Yelp
Tupelo has been on my list for a long time and it didn't disappoint. The ambiance and the vibes the place was giving makes it feel like Sunday brunch everyday. The views of the shopping area also helps with the relaxing environment. The chicken on my chicken and waffles dish was cooked to perfection. Fried moist and delicious down to the last bite. Those waffles were so savory. I thought because the Mac and cheese was infused into the waffle it would lack Mac and cheese and just taste like a waffle but no no no. I tasted every bit of the Mac and cheese as well as the waffle. Damn it was delicious. To top off the great experience is the service Our waitress was bomb she gave great recommendations on the drinks and told us about the dishes being served to help us get the best meals this place had to offer. This place is a bit of a drive for us but I'll do it again in a heartbeat.

So, I have wanted to visit Tupelo for some time now. When friends invited us for a nice lil brunch, I said , hey why not. I will cut right to the review though. Food: the menu here is southern-ish. The biscuits look buttery, the chicken looks crispy, and the salads are delicious and fresh. The Lavender lemonade is delicious and so are the others. The fried pickles are thin, chip like, easy to pop right into yoir mouth. The fried green tomato is good too. It could have used a little bit more seasoning, but overall a good crispy fried treat. Ambiance/decor: Tupelo is the perfect brunch spot. The decor is cute and perfect. It is definitely one to post on IG. The service: Ummm let's just say our server was AMAZING! She was so accommodating. She was mindful of my allergies and recommended options for me to eat. She was patient and gave oir party of four enough time to talk and catch up and order all in one. Would I visit again? Sure would. I would eat as many apps as I can eat. Now, if you have severe allergies, is vegetarian, or eat a plant-based diet, I do not recommend Tupelo. They are limited on the food options for those of us with allergies and all. However, those who are just fine and your body does not reject certain food items, have at it. Tupelo is a must!

Yelp
Love love love the ambiance! And what makes it a great experience is that the service and food is equally good! I had the country fried cauliflower which came with chipotle aioli and two farm fresh sides (I love that we can choose two sides). I got the broccolini with chipotle aioli and the rosemary potato cracklins! I loved the fried cauliflower with the chipotle aioli and the sides were so so delicious, perfect crisp and flavor, loved it! I also loved the pimento grilled cheese which had fried green tomatoes as the filling and I simply loved the idea of it, also creamy and delicious!! Food portions are generous and food is delicious and flavorful! For the drink, I got an agave picante as I love cocktails with mezcal and it was really good!! Loved my lunch time here! Cannot wait to dine in with friends and family!

Yelp
Our server, Da Jah, was charming and very knowledgeable of the menu with several good suggestions. I had the grilled shrimp po boy. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the sauce had a nice little kick. The Brussels sprouts were a little salty, but I'm sensitive to that flavor. Sure didn't stop me from eating every little roasted bit! As the lunch combo special, the price was quite fair. Besides, when your water glass has "Bless your heart" on it, that sets the pace for a wonderful experience! I was worried that parking would be an issue, but for lunch on a weekday, no problem.

Yelp
So I used to love this place but they have gone down in quality. Food is literally just okay or not good at all. Chicken is small and salty, greens are good, and mac and cheese needs seasoning. Service is a 8/10 not too bad at all. Ambience is pretty chill.

Yelp
I normally don't have the best experience with upscale southern American dining but I had a great time at Tupelo Honey. I wish I was seated more in the center near the front of the restaurant where it looks nicer- we were seated in the back and had to have the sun on us for the entire time we were there. But it was more quiet so I guess you win here but lose there. Our waitress was very accommodating and kind and I was so thankful! Sometimes I feel pressure from wait staff but she more soft spoken and never made me feel bad for asking about the menu. 10/10 service. My drink was great after I added some sweetener- it was a frozen cocktail. I got chicken and waffles with syrup and honey. I don't like spice so it was nice that I was able to get the original chicken but on a waffle. Overall if you're looking for some good hearty food in the star area- look no further and come on in And lastly don't forget about the yelp check in for free appetizers. I would recommend fried green tomatoes! So tasty.

Yelp
The food is always great! The 4 of us ordered different versions of the brunch chicken & waffles for our family lunch today. Food was the Perfect temp, perfect taste, and perfect portions. Our server Tray also provided great service. Ambiance was great for. Sunday; music playing low and all different games on the tv's.

Yelp
Stopped by after changing my reservation to a day earlier and had no issues with the reservation change. Waited almost 5 minutes for a host or anyone to acknowledge my presence (3 employees walked by) and the host showed up and assisted me. The server, Robyn was friendly and knowledgeable. Their homemade sodas are not sweet so be prepared and ask for extra simple syrup if you prefer your drinks a little sweeter. I chose the fried green tomatoes to start my meal as FGT are a Southern staple and Tupelo's came with cheese grits and a roasted red pepper sauce. These were delicious and everyone should order them! I was barely halfway through my FGT when my entree arrived so would have preferred a little more space in between both items. The Asheville Chicken & Waffles looked tasty! However, I was not expecting dark meat for the boneless chicken option - I don't believe I saw that on the menu anywhere as well. I probably should have asked, but usually assume boneless chicken is white breast meat in 90% restaurants. The mac n cheese waffle was a regular waffle that had some mac n cheese dropped on it towards the end of cooking - I think I was expecting the mac n cheese waffle to be made entirely of mac n cheese. The FGT filled me up so I ended up taking most of the chicken and waffle to go. I declined a bag for my 2 small boxes and was offered a bag by 3 different people :) The service was pretty good and the food was pretty good but definitely would like to see the type of boneless chicken on the menu so others are not caught off guard.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I had high hopes for this place and that the reviews I had previously heard weren't true. But unfortunately my experience was not pleasant. I'll list out what led to my unpleasant experience. 1. Tried to make a reservation online but it didn't link to their system so I had to get on the list when I arrived. No biggie. 2. Mimosa was meh, as the measuring combination was a bit too much of something. Possibly lavender syrup. 3. Classic chicken and waffles arrived with no powder sugar and a lump of butter on the chicken that was already heavily saturated in grease with no seasoning. The shrimp and grits were good, no complaints there. The dining area was cute and clean and the staff was nice. But I personally would not return as a result of the food.

Yelp
Amazing biscuits with honey and jam! Must try. Would have liked a bit more shrimp on my shrimps and grits but it was delicious. The service was fine. Everyone was nice. The place itself was clean and they pleated sports on the tv. It has a nice brunch/lunch vibe :)

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food. No complaints. Everything was delicious and filling. The Bloody Mary was one of the best ones I've had.

Yelp
Again we had another wonderful dining experience in Frisco Texas my sister surprised us with this restaurant and its Southern fare. I had the shrimp and grits AMAZING is all I'm going to say. We sat out on the patio which was very quiet and refreshing to be outside their furniture was very comfortable and the service was very good as well. Our waiter was nice too. Great job guys keep up the good work and the next time in town I'm going to visit again!! Good job

Yelp
My sister-in-law lives in Dallas and chose this spot for my husband and I to meet her for dinner when we were in town. We opted to sit on the patio and the weather and ambiance were perfect! We had good drinks and a free appetizer with Yelp check in! I had the fried green tomatoes which were served over grits and the whole dish was amazing!! I chose the Bourbon glazed meatloaf, which came with two sides. I chose the baked Mac & cheese and the greens. The meatloaf was very tasty but a small slice. (Ok for me because I don't eat a lot, but be warned if you have a larger appetite). The Mac & cheese was very tasty but also a very small portion as well. The greens were good but weren't seasoned other than the meat (which I believe was bacon) and I didn't care for all the stems. They both had the shrimp and grits and loved it. I think I would get that next time. We didn't order dessert because it was almost 8 pm by the time we finished our meal and they close at 8 on Sundays. It was a nice evening and when we're in Dallas again I would love to come back here and try other dishes.

Yelp
Tupelo Honey exceeded my expectations in every way. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the friendly and attentive staff, set the stage for a remarkable experience. I couldn't resist ordering the Sweet & Spicy Chicken, and to accompany it, I chose a side order of their famous Baked Mac & Cheese. Every aspect of my meal was absolutely delightful and left me wanting more. The Sweet & Spicy Chicken at Tupelo Honey was a true revelation. The succulent, "forever free" fried chicken was perfectly cooked, boasting a crispy and flavorful coating that was simply irresistible. The combination of the crispy chicken, drizzled generously with sriracha honey, created a harmonious blend of sweet and spicy flavors that danced on my palate. The addition of fresh lettuce, pickles, tomato, and mayonnaise elevated the taste profile even further, providing a refreshing balance to the bold flavors. All these delicious ingredients were beautifully put together within a soft and fluffy potato bun, which added the perfect touch to this mouthwatering creation. To complement my main dish, I couldn't resist trying the Baked Mac & Cheese, and I was not disappointed. The macaroni was perfectly cooked and smothered in a rich, creamy cheese sauce that was pure comfort food at its finest. The dish was baked to perfection, creating a golden crust on top that added a satisfying crunch. Each bite of this heavenly mac & cheese was pure bliss, as the flavors melded together flawlessly, leaving me craving more. The service at Tupelo Honey was exceptional. The staff was attentive, and passionate about the cuisine they served. My visit was an absolute delight. If you're searching for a restaurant that offers both comfort and creativity, coupled with excellent service, Tupelo Honey should be at the top of your list.

Yelp
This place has been on my list of restaurants I wanted to try since moving to Frisco. And it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is so cute and has such a good vibe when you walk in. I went during lunch and they were mildly busy but the staff was great. Now for the food....it was sooooo good. We absolutely had to try the biscuits and it was worth it. The shrimp po'boy was very good and those Brussel sprouts were amazing, you know when they have that outside crispiness that is perfection. I can't wait to go back and try the fried chicken.
