Google
Great food, huge portions, and amazing staff! The atmosphere is fantastic, and our main dishes had enough food for at least two more meals. You definitely get your money’s worth at Tuptim. The staff is friendly and attentive, and we’ll absolutely stop back the next time we’re in town!

First time. We got a little unlucky with our server. She was less than attentive. The other waitress serving the tables around us was on point, checked multiple times how things were. Food was decent. I’ll give it another try.

We had a great dinner at Tuptim Thai in Topeka! We started with the Tuptim Rolls – fresh rice wrappers filled with crab, garlic cream cheese, cucumber, carrot, cilantro, bean sprouts, and lettuce. They were incredibly fresh, light, and tasty – a perfect way to kick off the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the Massaman Curry with chicken. It was rich, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. They offer four spice levels – I went with “Hot” (level 3), which was perfectly balanced with just the right kick. Next time I’ll be adventurous and try the “Thai Hot” level 4! We also had the Basil Fried Rice with chicken, which was delicious as well. Both entrées came in generous portions that were very fair for the price. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, with nice décor and a sit-down dining style that makes it feel relaxed but still special. Overall, Uptime Thai is definitely a spot I’ll be returning to again and again to explore more of their menu!

First time trying this place, it was wonderful! I have had many Thai dishes but this was hands down the best. The potstickers were homemade, the drunken noodles were so yummy! I will definitely be back :)

Google
This place has the best Thai food ever. We eat here almost every Wednesday. We have traveled all over the world and tried the local Thai food but this place is always better. We have the moneybags and angel hair noodles. The lunch comes with soup and we would highly recommend trying this place even if you are passing through.

Google
Great food and service! Atmosphere is nice but would be perfect if they played Thai music or the song “Tuptim Thai” by Brail Watson. Also, this is one of the first Thai restaurants in Topeka, Kansas. They’ve been around for over 20 years. My recommendations for any Thai restaurant is to try out the main Thai dish – Pad Thai. This Thai restaurant, like many others, can make the pad Thai and so many varieties. You can have a choice of the meat which includes chicken, seafood, beef, vegetarian, etc. Then you can make it in varieties of heat, including mild, medium, hot, and Thai hot or super hot.

Google
The staff here is just so incredibly friendly! Food is great and served in generous portions. You can select your spice level, and they are very flexible about subtracting things you don't want (I personally am not a big fan of cilantro or scallions, and they accommodate me with no fuss whatsoever).

Google
The service was great. Our host was very delightful. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the food. The chicken skewers were plain. The wings were not bad. I ordered red curry. My Mom ordered yellow curry. Both were way too sweet. Unfortunately, she refused to eat hers. I didn't want to have to pack mine home, so I finished as much as I could. I was quite disappointed with the pad see ew and the pad thai. Both lacked flavor.

Yelp
Tup Tim Thai is our go-to spot in Topeka for Thai food. The pad thai is absolutely delicious--perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just the right amount of tang. It's easily one of the best we've had, and it's what we'll keep coming back for. I tried a different dish on one visit, but the sauce didn't really stick to the chicken like I expected--it just didn't have the same flavor impact as the pad thai. Lesson learned: stick with what they do best. The service is friendly, portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. No extra fees or surprises--just good food and a comfortable place to enjoy it. If you're in Topeka and craving Thai, this is the place to go. I do feel like the ambience makes you feel like you are transported into another world. Its really a cool place to eat- one of my favorites in Topeka

Yelp
Very good Thai food! I enjoyed the cocktails as well. The appetizer sampler was good but I'd probably get an order of just the moneybags next time. They were so yummy. My husband got a curry bowl mild. It had a bit of spice to it but we both enjoyed it. I had the drunken noodles (mild) with chicken and loved it (no spiciness). The service was fast and attentive. The food was made fresh and quickly.

Yelp
There are several Thai places in Topeka and each on has their own presentations of good food. Tuptim Thai is a place I like to go for lunch. I am gradually trying the different spice levels and enjoy all the food options. Several of us meet there occasionally

Yelp
This is fine thai food. We were seated and quickly served by an efficient and friendly waitress. We got a free cup of soup that was too spicy for this blonde, Norwegian. The spring rolls were very fresh (I would have loved more of the tasty peanut sauce.) I ordered shrimp with vegetables and it was not too spicy for me and gave me plenty of vegetables.

Yelp
Still great in 2024! Takeaway or dining in, both good. But money bags are best dine-in! For keto days, I enjoy coconut chicken skewers or Tiger cry beef. Less keto is always the chicken pad Thai! My husband loves the chicken thunder. Every.single.time. Daughter loves the chicken curry bowls. Service is excellent here, they are always fast & friendly! And the restaurant is clean, comfortable seats, noise & temps. Love this place!

Yelp
Love the ambiance of the establishment. Every time I visit the service is always efficient. Love the portions rather it's lunch or dinner. I always order the Chicken pad Thai noodles, never disappoints. Money bags are also a fav!

Yelp
I can only comment on carry out but the food is always hot and fresh. The service is great and I always feel welcome.

Yelp
Had the highest hopes for this restaurant, but was disappointed. All though the portions are generous, the food was mediocre.. The ambiance was so so, starting with the booths that were too small! There were four of us crammed into a small, uncomfortable, and very worn booth. Normally I would have asked for something better, but this was a birthday dinner for a family member and I did not want to create an issue. We started with a cocktail, I asked for one of the most well known drinks that there is; a Tanguray Martini with a lemon twist, (not what I got.) It was a very watered down martini, not Tanguray, and served with two lime slices. The bottom line is we won't be going back to Tuptim, and it certainly does not even come close to a "Michelin worthy restaurant" as the restaurant article stated.

Yelp
Local busy place with good service. Inside better looking than exteriour. Food was fast and hot and huge plates for one. Plan to share!

Yelp
I have been coming here for several years. Great food, great service and nice ambiance. I have settled on basically one dish - Fiery Passion Combination - Thai Hot. Nice shreds of beef, pork, chicken and a few bites of shrimp served in a spicy brown sauce with onions, red and green bell pepper and a few other things. It comes with a small bowl of white rice. It doesn't get any better! Well, actually it does - if you manage to have any left over and take it home, it makes a great breakfast the next morning. Go get you some!
google avatar

Cristel D.

Yelp
The food was everything you want from Thai flavor. Large portions of all the main dishes. The Atmosphere was culturally lovely and the service was excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
I enjoy going here as it's close to my office. I'm pretty simple and get the Thai fried rice with chicken. It is very filling and great taste. Yes I like Thai hot and always get the stare lol. Staff is very friendly and quick to ensure you have what you need. Always enjoy the orient decor

Yelp
Garlic chicken lunch special Delicious! Spicy Green bean's Delicious! Thai ice tea with cream DELICIOUS!
google avatar

Ashanta P.

Yelp
I ordered the Phad thai and got it mild. It was delicious it had just the right amount of sweet and spicy to it. The only thing I would suggest is that the chicken in the dish was a little dry but was edible. The service there was quick as they had tables set up to grab your order to go after placing online so long waiting. The restaurant has a nice ambiance about it which I might try and go in and eat sometime.

G L.

Yelp
Was going there for a different Thai restaurant but they closes at 1:30 rather than 3, as posted on their site. We ended up going here and it turned up to be a nice alternative. The sampler plate was good, the duck dish was great. Crispy skin and tender meat, totally a treat. Food came out fast and our server was professional.
google avatar

Keith C.

Yelp
We love coming here! They are always great with service and there are many delicious options. Rama The Great, if you love the peanut sauce. The curries are excellent. The Black peppercorn dish is amazing. And don't forget the Mango and sticky rice for desert.

Debbie T.

Yelp
Their food and their service is so good! They always make you feel like a valued customer. Even if we haven't been there in months they remember our "usual" and tease us if we order something different.
google avatar

Jim O.

Yelp
Good food, cocktails could be improved. Large entrees plenty for take home. Heat level your choice
google avatar

Karen P.

Yelp
Food was fabulous this time! We all loved it. Huge portions and we happily took home leftovers. They have levels of spice and they'll also bring out spices so you add as you wish- I thought that was a great idea. I ordered my pineapple fried rice mild, but then added some jalapeños to it. Our lovely waitress also brought out chili flakes and chili paste. I couldn't resist ordering the Thai Iced Coffee even though it was after my caffeine cut off time haha. It was delicious and worth it!

Yelp
If you're in the slow paced city of Topeka and you're in the mood for Asian food, this is absolutely the place to go! They have a pretty nice selection, but I pretty much stick to the same items! The Phad See Ew is so good! I didn't know until I started eating at this restaurant, but I'm now a fan of dark sweet soy sauce, it makes the dish savory. They are known for their money bags (a very tiny version of crab rangoon), but the Tuptim Thai Rolls are my favorite appetizer. I have never actually eaten inside of the restaurant, but it always seems to be clean when I go in to grab my food, and the service is always fast.
google avatar

Stephen H.

Yelp
Not my first choice, but then again, I don't live in town. This was where my sister and husband wanted to go, and it was decent, even if the portion sizes were American-sized. The upside of that is that you get two meals for the price of one: one for now and one for later. :-)
google avatar

George H.

Yelp
Came here on account of the rave reviews. Had requested the spicy level for the bean noodles, and turned out to be mild. My husband ordered the mild level for fried rice and it turned out spicy! So I guess they switched our orders, lol. Still, it was delicious and swift service, and we would like to return to try out more items!
google avatar

Inspired C.

Yelp
We went and had dinner just on the appetizers! So many to choose from. Service was great!

Jane S.

Yelp
Large flavorful portions. We recommend trying the money bags as they're a great addition to your entree!
google avatar

Steve D.

Yelp
Carry out pineapple fried rice was excellent! Service was great and right on time. Food was well prepared and hot! Delicious!

Josh S.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere! The added touch of Thai beer (Singha or Chang) makes this even more fun.
google avatar

Cassie M.

Yelp
I love coming here for the Money Bags and Beef Fried Rice. They're soooo good. The ambiance is perfect as well and the servers are always so sweet and kind. The only issue I have is that when I order food to go, they put the Beef Fried Rice in plastic containers which just lets any grease left from the meat soak into the food. It tastes perfect in person but very soggy and lack luster in take out. For that reason I stopped ordering stuff to go from them.
google avatar

Nika T.

Yelp
Good Thai. Enjoyed it on a road trip and they took my order a few minutes before they opened, which was very kind of them. We got pad Thai, crunchy fried spring rolls and money bags appetizer and fried rice with pineapple. The peanut sauce was rather watery but okay. Loved the fried spring rolls and pad Thai. The pad Thai was a little dry though so I put some of the sauces on it. The fried rice was also a bit dry but had basically good flavor. We would try more offering in the future if we were in the area. As it stands- nothing really sets it apart in terms of flavor or quality but nothing was bad either, just average good thai.

Yelp
Wow, what a find.................................................................................... This place is a wonderful find. In this food desert ( topeka ),,, nice, quiet, very good Thai.
google avatar

Yelp
Duck was very good. Family enjoyed the experience. So many enticing menu options to choose from. A little something for everyone.
google avatar

Yelp
When I think. About Thai food the first place is always Tuptim Thai. The food is incredible and I always compare any Thai restaurant to them. Sadly when I lived in Denver no place came close to Tuptim Thai. I moved back to Topeka and am so happy to have the best (I'm biased) Thai food around! Go eat Tuptim Thai they bring the heat AND the FLAVOR!
google avatar

Stephanie V.

Yelp
I've been craving pad Thai and Thai iced tea, so I decided I would try this place. Hands down one of the best Thai places I've had in a while! I got the mild pad Thai, flavors are amazing. I also got spring rolls, super crunchy and soo good. I also got a Thai tea of course and it tastes delicious! Lastly, I tried sticky rice in coconut cream for the first time. Soo good! Everything has been amazing! I'll definitely be coming here for my Thai cravings!

Yelp
We went at about 3pm on a Sunday and were greeted immediately. Wonderful waitress that was quick to take our order and answer questions about the food and flavors. Our group of 5 was served fairly quickly and accurately. The curry bowls were a big hit (the best we've ever had). Would highly recommend the grilled chicken satay from the appetizer menu...the peanut sauce was to die for! The cashew chicken plate was so colorful and delicious. Highly recommend! We will be back!

La Juania M.

Yelp
So I've been here multiple times and the food is always good and flavorful. There was only one time I ordered the moneybags and they were off and they didn't do anything about it. I felt like they had way too much cream cheese in them. I will just stick with the noodle dishes. They bring you four different spices you can add to your dish to make it spicier... I like spicy. The service is ok... the food does come out fast. So for lunch and dinner.

Judy M.

Yelp
Quick, friendly service with good portions. I ordered Fresh ginger fried rice with chicken and my spouse had the money bags and the special of the day, mango spring rolls. She loved them both and couldn't decide which was her favorite. My fried rice was tasty although I could use more ginger and a bit of salt.
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
Accidentally drove to the old location - and luckily called and got direction nearby to the new one. Wonderful! The reviews helped me choose this restaurant and agree with them. I always get pad Thai first and this did not disappoint. Once you've had real authentic Thai in other places it's great to find one like this in KS. I'll be back to try more.
google avatar

Sebastian B.

Yelp
Great food and friendly service are hone here!!! We enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere was great. Our waitress was very nice. I do not remember our food choices as I waited to long to review but if we're in town again we will definitely stop in again. Prices were very reasonable as well. Oh and I do remember the flavors were very distinct and oh so yummy!!!!
google avatar

Astrid F.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Love the fresh spring rolls appetizers. Definitely love their pad Thai!
google avatar

Darcy B.

Yelp
Amazing food, if you are Pssing by and like Thai food and some amazing curry, do yourself a favor and stop in. You will NOT be disappointed...
google avatar

Grace H.

Yelp
The crispy garlic chicken is delicious! And GET THE MONEYBAGS. Best appetizer there by far. Service is consistent and they're nice. It gets busy but we've never waited very long for a table.
google avatar

Kurtis W.

Yelp
What a nice find. We did lunch. Came in right as they opened. Clearly a very popular spot, it got busy quickly. The staff did a great job of serving and taking great care of us. The food was excellent. We were able to choose the heat level we wanted, which kept everyone satisfied. The flavors were very excellent and food was very well prepared. The next time we are in town we will be back.
google avatar

Fahima O.

Yelp
I'm so annoyed with the quality and amount of food I received. I paid $7.99 for this. This is suppose to be my favorite Thai dessert. I've visiting from out of town and I feel so played because I ordered take out. Thanks for ruining my night. Also, the drunken noodles didn't even taste like drunken noodles. Straight up noodles and veggies with some type of spice. It's barely covered with any sauce.

Joe Y.

Yelp
Taste is different not sure if cook changed. Service is quick and ambience is good. Usually pretty crowded during lunch hour
google avatar

Ilene H.

Yelp
Wonderful. We had the Money Bags for our appetizer which was really different and enjoyable. Think of crab rangoon only creamy with a little garlic. My boyfriend had the Mushroom Lover as his entree which was really good. The chicken was really tender. I had Tom Kah soup which is the staple of Thai soups. I get mine with shrimp. YUM!!!! I also had the tofu pad thai. The portions were so big, I had a lot to take home. Don't forget to order Thai Iced Tea with cream... YAY!!!!!!! Great service, low key, great food.
google avatar

Ally J.

Yelp
This place is phenomenal! I am a huge fresh spring rolls fan and the ones here are so fresh and tasty. Comes with a peanut sauce, not as thick as other places yet still so delicious! The money bags are mini crab rangoons that also hit the spot. I've been here twice now and each time the food is hot, delicious and comes out quick! The sweet chili noodles (mild) and the garlic chicken & shrimp with veggies were both large portions and packed with flavor. We were seated quickly and the service was top notch. I will definitely be back if even just for the spring rolls. A++++!
google avatar

Moh S.

Yelp
I truly love this restaurant, I've been multiple times and have not been disappointed yet. My coworkers and I usually make to go orders but on off days I am a some what frequent customer. The restaurant itself is in need of a little upgrade when comes to decor but you know what they say "it's always the least expected places that have some of the best food". I would suggest ordering the "money bags" as appetizers or the tuptim sampler. For the main dish any of their fried rice options would leave you a very happy individual.
google avatar

Uknowho M.

Yelp
I believe this restaurant has changed location since I was last here; but it surely kept its quality in service and flavor! It's a good spot and the price is fairly good for entree but I think appetizer cost is slightly high for amount served. Not much food of variety in this town & I believe this place has a strong, good customer base. I hope it can sustain!Drunken NoodleThai Basil ChickenMoney Bags
