Turbine Market + Cafe

Service was good. Food is not bad. The smoothie was not the best. The base for the smoothie was just for texture and body purposes, so it didn't taste as great as expected. It was not even cold. It kinda tasted like apple and grass blended together. My breakfast sandwich was good, but the egg was not soft like described. I would've preferred it scrambled or sunny side up. Overall good experience maybe the grab n go food options will be better next visit.

This was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Ate here 3 times (all breakfast) during a 6 night stay at the JW. First morning I ordered chicken and waffles off the menu. It was pretty good, but not what I'd call great. Small portion for the price. I actually didn't want more food, but it seemed like a meager portion. Second morning I got take out from the counter and went back to my room. This was horrible. They have prepped breakfast sandwiches in the glass cabinet. I chose the ham, egg, and cheese on a croissant. They microwave it in a box and off you go. Look at the photos to see how unappealing this was. Third time was a Friday morning so they had their breakfast buffet up and running (only Fri-Sun). It was really quite good. Lots of good choices of both hot and cold, and nicely presented. This was by far my best meal at Turbine. So, mixed bag, as I said. I definitely prefer eating in rather than taking out.

I ate breakfast here with my fiance twice over the weekend during my stay at JW. The best French toast I have ever had in my life was at Rayavadee Resort in Krabi, Thailand. The second best was here at Turbine Market. Unbelievably good stuffed French toast with fresh fruit & some yummy green sugar on top. Much like the Thailand version, this French toast was so good, it didn't even need syrup. I did taste the syrup though, and it was almost as special as the entree. Everything we had here was top tier, but that French toast was the star. 100 A++++

Wonderful restaurant, every dish looked amazing. I ate here one time but 5 other people couldn't stop talking about it. I had gumbo but every one else had seafood. I hate missing out but apparently there are better dishes than the gumbo and blackened shrimp. I can't say they were lying, but the dish i had was hard to beat.

My daughter and I had lunch after her college tour, and we were extremely hungry. I snapped a photo of my sandwich, devoured about half of it, and then realized there was something terribly wrong. The chicken in my sandwich was undercooked. I hadn't noticed it at first, as the other flavors of fig, arugula, and bacon masked the issue. I ended up spitting out the last bite of that half. Our lovely server called the manager over, who apologized and offered to remove the sandwich from my bill. Unfortunately, I later suffered from severe food poisoning. This was definitely not a mistake I would expect from a higher-end Marriott hotel. Later, when I flipped through my photos, I saw that the chicken was indeed raw. Next time, I’ll make sure to wear my glasses and check my food more carefully. This careless mistake significantly impacted our entire trip.

We had heard that we should go to this area as there's some really cool things to see, but we were also very hungry. And they were right, the building this is in is definitely worth a stop just to see everything that's there. But I don't know if I would eat there again. When we walked in, one of the servers gave us a dirty look because we went to the back to look at the art and didn't realize that we couldn't sit ourselves. But she didn't say anything to us. She just let us walk by and gave us a dirty look. When we finally were seated, our server was very friendly and nice. I would say the food was just okay. Nothing fantastic. But it's a shame because this restaurant seems to have a lot of potential. It's a really cool vibe and I feel like the food really should have been better to match.

Lovely atmosphere. The art and design is very unique and attractive. Service is great. I was seated promptly and my server was attentive. The avocado toast was fresh and perfectly made. Real avocado, touch of lime and the pickled onion was a nice touch. I’d just say the toast was a bit too hard and I had to struggle with my food. The poached egg was done to perfection. The “ tea” did NOT get me.

On our last morning here, we decided to grab a quick breakfast at the Turbine Market + Café. Dawn was our server and she was wonderful. The place was not too busy, and our breakfast came out at a quick and reasonable time. I got their wonderful version of Steak and Eggs (sunny side up) and an excellent Caramel Macchiato for the cool morning. We also tried their Cinnamon Crunch French Toast with maple syrup. So yummy! The only negative about Turbine is there doesn't appear to be any way to see their to go menu online. Only the dine in menus are posted. You'll have to visit, pick out what you want, and wait. Room order and delivery would have been awesome. The 5 stars is primarily for their breakfast sandwich to go. Sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit, just delicious. Got a bagel instead of biscuit for the sandwich a couple times, and it was just as delicious, just a touch less decadent.

We stopped here hoping to grab a quick bite, and ordered salads to try and make it easy. If we had known it would take 40 min to make we would have chosen a different spot. Not recommended if you have hungry kiddos who need to eat quickly

We stayed at the JW and received a voucher for here we were not expecting much as it was a quick bite. Not only was the food great the service was just as good we got two breakfast options and split them. We ate inside as it was cold out but many ppl grabbed the food and enjoyed the view of the river at the many outdoor seating areas. Was great to play tourist in our home.

Coffee and cookies kind of morning The kids were up early so since it was the first day of vacation we decided to bend the rules a little bit and let them eat cookies for Breakfast Well after trying there cookies we went back for more the oatmeal raisin was the best but of course the kids loved the s'mores and chocolate chunk! The coffee was good it was very rushed so the flavor wasn't very strong but I would try them again for sure didn't get the full experience but the food smelled amazing.

Food was exceptional. Good options on menu. Service very good and waitresses very friendly. Also like the atmosphere, very relaxing.

Came here for breakfast before we checked out. Very nice, quiet, relaxing atmosphere. We dined on a Monday morning before 8am so that could have had something to do with the quietness. We were seated right away. I love the diversity of the menu. LOTS to offer. I got the Turbine Eggs Benedict and my husband got a smoothie. I really enjoyed the Benedict. The poached eggs were so delicate and fluffy. I had one and my husband ended up eating the other because I didn't realize how filling they would be. They came with some cheese hashbrowns (in the back corner of the photo). If someone were staying at the hotel I would definitely recommend coming here for a nice, quick breakfast, especially right before check-out. Not sure if I would recommend someone staying elsewhere to come eat here, but I mean, the food was good so you certainly could, but I think there are more fun, niche, touristy places to go if you're visiting.

The service was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting and unique and the food was great. Adding to the experience was the lobby of the JW, just steps away which you can see from your seat, where there are the largest geodes you've ever seen (I think I read one is the largest known geode in existence), prehistoric fossils and various other collections of interesting museum pieces.

We were early for a holiday program and decided to look inside the Mariott at River plant for a coffeehouse. This place was good but overpriced. That's pretty much the theme in Savannah. The chicken wrap was very good. The Latte was cold. The BBQ chips were ok at$3.50. The lady in front of us complained because she paid for a large coffee but was served her large coffee in a small cup. The waitress insisted it was a large coffee served in a small cup. I was thinking it was a Jedi mind trick. Finally, I suggested she pour the drink in a larger cup since there was a larger ceramic cup. available. The waitress insisted that was the wrong cup. We both argued it was bigger than the small cup. She eventually gave the woman the larger cup grumbling the whole time. "The nerve of some people ".........Curly from the 3 Stooges. Problem solved. All in all it was a nice little shop and a place to sit down.

Stopped in a couple of times for breakfast. There is a take out counter for breakfast sandwiches, coffee, tea and the usual take out options. Also, you can sit at a table and be waited on by the super friendly staff. Did take out one day and had a biscuit breakfast sandwich which was very good. The biscuit was good but a tad over cooked. Also, had the Benedict breakfast another day. The Benedict as very good and our waitress was so friendly and on top of refills.

I have visited Turbine Market +Café for breakfast several times. Even though it is located downtown and on River Street, I have always been able to be seated with little or no wait time. The breakfast menu has something for every taste, and I have enjoyed every single bite of my meals. The hostess was efficient, attentive and polite. Inside and exterior dining is available, and the river provides a super nice atmosphere. Totally recommended and I will definitely come back again.

I am so glad we decided to visit this gem! To find a cozy restaurant in the busy Plant Riverside is terrific. It was quaint and beautiful. Tatiana was quick and accommodating on a very busy day! I applaud her. I had the signature Turbine Breakfast. My eggs over medium where perfection! I visited today with my grands and everyone was so nice! Kid friendly!

Turbine Market + Cafe in Savannah is a great option for delicious food and much more in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have the best meal.

Very nice, quick breakfast. We had a coupon for cash value at the hotel and decided to use on breakfast. I had oatmeal with berries and it was really good. My husband had eggs, sausage, grits and English muffin. All good, albeit a bit luke warm. Staff was very helpful and coffee pours were plentiful. Easy in, good food, easy out.

Excellent experience on a Holiday. We had brunch, sat outside (kind of wish we had opted for I side as it hot hot quickly. Friendly and prompt service, the food is something to rave about. We all chose something different and we all very happy with our choice. Fresh & tasty! We will be back.

So, I previously wrote a 3 star review about Turbine Market + Cafe based on a dining experience I had for breakfast. Since then, my experiences have gotten better and better. My running group meets here most Sunday mornings, and the staff is extremely accommodating. We straggle in at different times and take up several tables and chairs. Most people only order coffee, but some do order breakfast. I have never heard a single complaint about the food here. A few popular items we order include: Avocado Toast, Steel Cut Irish Oats, Blueberry Granola Bowl, and the Egg White Scramble Bowl. Personally, the first time I had the avocado toast (photo attached), I was underwhelmed. I have ordered it once since and did enjoy it! Jasmine is often one of our servers and is fabulous. She keeps up with coffee and water refills, gets our food to the table quickly, and always has the checks correct. She is so pleasant week after week. This Valentines Day, Maura was our server and Megan stopped by our table. It was raining so we had a small group, and they provided us towels to dry off with! Megan also brought us a beautiful Valentines cookie, it was delicious! A big thank you is in need for the Turbine staff. We really enjoy dining here.

Buffet service is offered only over the weekend and it was delicious. Fresh fruit, pastries, yogurts, scramble eggs, bacon, roasted potatoes, avocado toast, grits and omelettes are some of their options. Their staff kept a close eye on out table. They showed up with refills before our coffee mugs or water glasses were empty. I'm curious to try their breakfast menu on my next visit.

While staying at the JW Marriott we ate breakfast here twice... the first day was fine, even though we experienced a couple of issues, we advised management and they quickly addressed them. We returned the next day and the place was hopping... Service was fast and exceptional! The food on both days was amazing! Things we really enjoyed: - Their avocado toast - Americanos (as they use Illy) - Their omelette is very tasty, especially with their roasted tomatoes! - Potato Galette - Orange Cranberry muffin They have a nice menu loaded with all the morning favs, including smoothies and they offer indoor or outdoor seating. Thanks for the incredible service and excellent food!

Here at Turbine for the first time and didn't know what to expect because we all pricing doesn't always reflect service level. Wife ordered a sandwich and I sat back and took the atmosphere. What prompted this review was me watching a supervisor interaction with a I believe to the cook. They just seem to embrace each other with a level of professionalism and care that I felt this was needed. We live in Vegas and this was simply a refreshing experience. Celia our server nothing short of courteous and pleasant. This is what Savannah is about!

The crab cake Benedict and hash were very good! Fast service and nice ambiance. It is a bit loud due to being in the hotel lobby but not oppressively so.

The meal was pricey like most places on the river. Service to sit us and serve was lazy, How hard is it to fill up waters and coffee? Unfortunately our server got our omelet's mixed up with different ingredients on each of them and we both ended up with supreme diverse omelets. With that said, food was still tasty and hot coffee had good flavor.

Lovely place to have breakfast. Food was delicious and very original plates. Surroundings are amazing and leans to a quiet ambiance.

First of all, the overall dining experience was great! I couldn't help but notice the manager "Charles" doing exactly what an idea manager does. He's actively managing staff, checking in with guest and keeping the place running like a well designed machine. I also notice Charles filling in the gap where needed. Absolutely amazing. He eventually made it over to our table to see how our experience was going and was very helpful in making suggestions on "things to see and places to go". Although we were staying at another Marriott hotel we had breakfast there every morning thereafter and will definitely book a stay at the JW Marriott on our next visit. Thanks Charlie!!!

Located in the new Plant Riverside complex, Turbine is in the main lobby, across from the Dinosaur exhibit. Nice breakfast options, including egg white bowl and omelettes, Pancakes, fresh fruit and more. All of the portions were good and the food was tasty. Also, they make a right cappuccino. They have a number of photo installations and other art, going back to the buildings history. It's worth walking around this place just to see everything.

Fantastic food, attentive service, phenomenal ambiance. Seated quickly, food was hot and delicious. We had the build your own omelette and Turbine Market Breakfast. Orange juice was delicious - fresh squeezed. Will be eating here again!

Fine breakfast in the power plant area of JW Marriott. Good buffet, good menu options, great staff. For Marriott platinum, they give a $16 pp coupon that can apply to buffet or menu , or will fully cover continental breakfast.

This place is amazing! We were staying at the JW Marriott Riverside so we decided to get brunch before heading to the beach. The restaurant is located in the lobby of the Power Plant building, right next to the beautiful natural history exhibit. The Turbine Benedict was a work of art! Hoping to make this a regular stop on any future trips to Savannah.

I sold my kid to pay for my $20 Omelette. I'm still wishing for the other half to arrive - I think they used one egg

I ordered the Mac and cheese with bacon and it was good. However, the service was lacking. No one greeted us or spoke to us when we entered. Before we were even finished eating we were brought the check and drink refills in to-go cups. I'm not sure if we came at a bad time but the service was not what I would've liked. I may return and try one more time.

With so many five star reviews, I was really looking forward to breakfast at Turbine Market and Cafe. The hostess was friendly and seated us quickly. The menu had some great choices and the food looked delicious at the neighboring tables. That's about all I can share since we didn't get waited on. We watched other tables be seated after us. They were served coffee and water and placed their orders. After 15-minutes, we left. No one ever came to the table after the hostess seated us. First impressions are really important. Probably won't be back.

Absolutely perfect!!!! 10 out of 10 on food and service!!!! Service was exceptional and food was outstanding!!!! The Cinnamon French Toast is out of this world! Medhi was our server this morning!!!! He was perfect!

Expensive but delicious! The service was great and the building it's in is really cool. They have patio seating but were not offering it when we went for breakfast.

Tucked inside the JW Marriott Waterfront hotel, the Turbine Market + Café is an excellent option if you're looking for a good meal in the area. I got the sausage, egg and cheddar biscuit to go with a coffee. The breakfast sandwich was really good, with a flaky, buttery biscuit that hit the spot. Service was also super friendly, which is always appreciated. Finally, as a bonus, you can't beat the atmosphere as the dinosaur, gemstones and other fantastical exhibits can be viewed from certain parts of the restaurant. (Or at least take a stroll through the museum after you eat!)

We ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice, the Cinnamon French Toast, a Turbine Breakfast, and 2 Omelets ham & cheddar cheese. Bradley recommended us the crunchy French Toast. He was very knowledgeable & polite. Everything was amazing!

We are staying at Marriott Three Muses and this is next door in the Marriott Plant Riverside. We came for lunch and the food was delicious. Dionna and Yuan were wonderful at the counter. We had the BLAT sandwich and Tuna poke bowl. Also excellent coffee.

A little disappointed with my experience. All I simply wanted was a rum and coke on the go- to relax while letting the kids see the views on the riverwalk. Sadly the only waitress (in an empty restaurant) was trying to push me and my husband to go to Bao Bao, which we were trying to avoid due to its busy environment. It was like pulling teeth, she asked us if we wanted to go to another bar about 3/4 times before finally just ringing us out. I do not typically expect that service from a Kessler.

Fantastic service- delicious food. The waiter was attentive and quick to serve. We will definitely be coming back!

4th visit and it's ALL about service from Dionna!! She sets the bar for hospitality via counter service or wait service. Dionna greeted us with true southern charm and was just delightful from start to finish. Dionna is the picture perfect service one would expect from such a fine hotel establishment in Savannah. She certainly has an uplifting and bubbly personality that easily brings people up and makes them feel ready and refreshed for the next best thing while on holiday.
