This place is a real gem! The cooking is fantastic that I actually ordered two main dishes for myself—I just had to try more. The fish was perfection: moist, flaky, and beautifully presented. The venison was also cooked to a perfect rare, though I personally found it had a bit too much sauce. The same dish for my wife didn't have such sauce problem. It's no issue to me, but the place is only 1 table with 2 customers (us). I would be a bit worried about the consistency of the place is having full house of customers! The quality of the food is undeniable and worth every centime. My only real criticism is that the wine by the glass is quite overpriced, which was a surprise. Even with the pricey wine, I'd go back in a heartbeat for the food.

Run don’t walk to this much-needed addition to the Trouville culinary scene. We had a splendid lunch where everything was as it should have been. Friendly welcome, short and concise menu, excellent wine list. The very talented young chef showed his sure hand with, amongst other choices, the fish of the day. For me it was “vieille”; prepared with a perfectly balanced melange of flavors, one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. A restaurant I happily recommend.

Turbulent has a truly lovely ambiance — warm, inviting, and with a charmingly casual table setting that immediately makes you feel welcome. The space is well-designed and the atmosphere is lively without being too noisy. The menu is inventive and filled with creative, unexpected flavor combinations. We were intrigued by every dish we tried. That said, there are a few areas where the experience could be improved. There was only one server handling the entire floor, which made the service feel rushed and impersonal at times. The portion sizes were quite small for a three-course meal — beautifully plated, but slightly underwhelming in quantity. The desserts were a letdown: the “riz au lait” was literally just rice with caramel and sesame seeds, and the cheese plate included three tiny pieces without any explanation of what we were eating. The wine list is impressively extensive, but it lacks essential information — like the grape variety — which made it difficult to choose the right wine. Also, after our white wine, we were expected to use the same glass for red wine, and even our cutlery from the starter had to be reused for the main course. Small details, but they do impact the overall experience. Despite these points, Turbulent shows great potential. The flavors are genuinely surprising and delicious, and the creativity in the kitchen is clear. With some fine-tuning of the service and guest experience, this place could really live up to its Bib Gourmand recognition. Worth a visit if you’re in Trouville and curious about modern, inventive French cuisine.

The overall experience was very good but : I was very disappointed by the 5 courses menu that is made by the chef as a « surprise choice ». First the portions are tiny , on a freezing day as today you expect to be full filled with warmer and comforting dishes. The choice of some dishes on the menu like caparcio (although really divine) and ice cream for dessert by minus outside is really to reconsider, on a warm summer day would have been much more appropriate. We were considering having an extra plate of cheese but when we saw our neighbors having the tiny cheese portion ( they were as hungry as us ) we decided to pick up a main dish in the menu, not to get out starving . It was definitely the course missing. Came a delicious and perfectly balanced meat dish, a proper portion, really finely done. Basically we realized that it would have been much better and fulfilling to pick up a starter or two, a dish and a dessert than to have a tiny portion of all for almost the same price … The service was excellent , the wine menu impressing and the quality is there definitely. We would for sure come back.

The 2nd in command, chef Matisse, was running the show in absence of the owner. He and his team did a great job. High quality food and excellent wine. Not cheap, but quality has a price to it. We were sitting at the bar and had plenty of time to discuss with the staff which made the experience even better.

A little overpriced for what you get, a five course menu gives you literally 5 courses without any amuse geule etc. The food was very exciting with interesting flavors and textures. Service could be more friendly.
